Airgun Technologies  Walther Reign M2 Cons

Hello everybody! I see a lot of good reviews about Umarex Walther Reign M2, posts how good it is when someone have problems with it, like “-Mine is good, no problems, nice and short, value for money..” and like that. But i had serious problem with this rifle and asking if the Umarex is lottery: some rifles are not working properly from the box.

So here is review about cons of Reign.

“Reasons to not buy Umarex WaLther Reign M2” or “Read this before to buy “:

I have some big problem with it, new one. After 30-40 shots it started to leaking from barrel. Ok, sended it to service. They send it back to me without 1 screw, ok. The rifle still loose air from the magazine port, when shooting, ok, probably this is normal or not, I don’t know. But at least it stoped leaking when not shooting.

Also I don’t like the trigger adjustment: screwing or unscrewing those two screws of mechanism- no matter, the trigger works not good/smooth anyway. + it takes a long time to remove and put back the plastic.
-There is no degassing valve or way to empty the air tank, except of dry shooting(!) You need scuba tank to fill it from 50 bar and less. Hand pump - not enough pressure.
-Magazine: it works properly only with diabolo pellets, not slugs. With slugs the wheel is sticking, not turning good.
-You can’t separate full air tank from the rifle. Not adjustable.
And this is not all because I’m still testing this one, looks like another one “-“ will be “shots per fill”, because seems like they are much less than in the description from their website.

This is like that, not like marketing reviews with only pros on Youtube and forums.

N/A  Air rifle custom stocks

Anyone interested in a custom stock for a fair price, consider Custom Stock in the UK. I just bought a nice walnut sporter stock for my AA TX200 and am very satisfied. Workmanship is first rate. Their stocks pretty much are limited to Air Arms, HW, Theoben, BSA, and a few others. They have a variety of styles including walnut and laminates. Pictures show standard beech stock on top and Custom Stock on bottom. https://www.customstock.co.uk/

PCP Rifle  SOLD Skout Epoch 30 cal

Selling my Skout Epoch 30 caliber. Dime size groups all day at 50 yards. Bought it new 2 months ago. Has all the latest updates including LW barrel. Awesome shooter but I must part with it because the strong magnet in the magazine may be harmful to my pacemaker and I am a lefty. Did not realize this until now. Bummer. Comes with the hard case and tool kit. Scope and bipod not included. I did add the Arca rail accessory which is $250. Will ship to your home for $1650. CONUS

Umarex  Jelous Zelos twins

I have written elsewhere that I ordered my first .25 Zelos from Dack's Outdoors. A day or two later I read a bunch of horror stories about Dack's, so purchased another .25 Zelos elsewhere while I waited to see how Dack's would play out. The second Zelos arrived in a few days - nothing from Dack's. DO NOT ORDER FROM DACKS! Dacks did eventually provide a refund, but it took some doing. I dealt with them for 50+ days. I found another low price using "not just guns", @$415 - and ordered another Zelos in .25. I received this one 4 days from date of purchase. Did I mention, don't order from Dack's ;).
On to the good stuff - the goal is to have one set up for plinking with pellets, the other to get serious using slugs. Much to my delight, everything has turned out as I had hoped.
Zelos Pair-2.jpg

I made the valve bodies, and found different springs to use in the valves, and hammers (based on pieces I wound myself). I am using softer springs than stock, with less preload required.
Zelos-valve1.jpg

Slug-Valve1.jpg

Fooled with both Hammer spring, and valve spring rates - both are softer than stock -
new-springs1.jpg

These are what I think everything spec'd out to - (used an online spring design software)
Valve-and-Springs1.jpg

My pellet action is set to spit the 26.54gr Hades pellets at 910fps, while the Slug action is spitting 40gr Zan slugs at 1008fps. The pellet action is factory bore, the slug gun is a 700mm FX liner. I used a kit for the barrel conversion instead of making parts myself, being the first time I worked with an FX liner. It was not a perfect experience, but not far off - and understandable dealing with different brand tolerances. It did not take much to fit everything up. I will most likely eventually make a few new parts for the breech end. I also added a few grams weight to the hammer for the slug rifle. Still using the lighter/shorter hammer spring, too. It does shoot very well - I was surprised to tickle @80+ft/lbs out of the action, thinking it might top out at @70 without adding a plenum of some sort. I've backed it down to shoot 33gr Zan slugs, but am still testing ammo... I'd like to keep the slug gun shooting 35-44gr slugs depending on what I find works well. I have mostly been using H&N and Zan. I do have a few hundred RMR SLAP .25's (FX Hybrids) that shoot lights out from the liner, but am looking to carry a little more weight.
Using the stock valve in the pellet version, I had to crank in some additional spring tension to hit mid 900's with the Hades. I changed the valve to my own, and dropped to the softer hammer spring with no preload to hit 905's -910's with the same pellet at the same reg setting.
Of note - the second Zelos has a different tube clamp, picatinny deal. It goes around the barrel, too - and needs to be loosened in order to unscrew the tube. The action also has "regulator gauge" printed on it where the 1st one didn't. I had read someplace that they were altering the but plate to allow hammer spring adjustment, but this one is the same as the first. I drilled a hole to access the screw adjustment.

GX customer service how long to wait?

Hello, I made my first post here about a Gx cs2 pump I received that wasn’t functioning. I have tried to contact GX via email at [email protected], and [email protected] I have also sent messages on instagram, but I have had no reply. How long is a typical response time for customer service? I would love to be patient but after 7 or 8 emails and a couple weeks of no response, I feel like I have been had. Anyone that has used their customer support, how long did it take? Am I just being too impatient?

N/A  When it just fits right!

Mod team, not sure where to put this so move it appropriately. Barrels, ammo, PCP or general... 😆 goes with each... 😆

3 groove with a .2175 dia slug. Polished leade and fresh crown. Giving me high hopes on accuracy. I'll be headed to the range this weekend. Now just to decide what gun to put it in?......

Pellet stability

I've had the opportunity to shoot a lot of pellets at very not normal pellet ranges.

A few evenings ago I was shooting some JSB .20/13.73 pellets at 165 yards, 805fps at the muzzle.

I could put them within the same two or so inches, pretty regularly. The wind was certainly favorable to be able to do so. But I've seen similar results from other high quality pellets, they just fly straight and true, at extremely long-for-pellet distances. Their downside is of course how much theyre deflected by wind.

But it got me thinking.....and this, together with all the other long range/low power airguns that I've shot, are that pellets are generally more stable in flight than slugs. And pellet/barrel combinations are much more forgiving than slug/barrel combinations.

I'm not saying pellets are better than slugs, just that it's a heck of a lot easier to get a pellet to cooperate than it is to stumble upon a slug/barrel combination that shoots well. And that pellets get a bad rap for long range shooting, when they'll actually shoot really well at long range, just not in the wind.

Traditional Rifle  WTS Air Arms TX200 Walnut .177 Short Stroked and Tuned w MTC Mamba Lite

Hey guys it’s been a while since I’ve been on the forum. I’m trying to sell my AA TX200 since it hasn’t been getting much use recently and I have gotten into other shooting disciplines.

I'm selling my tuned Air Arms TX200HC .177 with walnut stock and a MTC Mamba Lite 4-16x42. The rifle also has a custom 1/2UNF adapter plug and an aftermarket metal cocking lever handle. I used to have a DonnyFL Sumo on the rifle and it was incredibly silent.

I bought this gun tuned and short-stroked from another member here. It’s firing at ~12ft/lbs and is incredibly accurate- even I can pull off quarter inch groups at 20 yards; and that’s with the cheap walmart tin of crosman pellets (previous owner told me he had done the testing and the rifle loves them).

Here’s a link of the previous owner’s write up about all the hard he did, and the great results he achieved.

https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/new-tx200-hc-177/

The rifle is in excellent condition except for a few scratches which I've included in the pictures. I’ll include the original factory parts that the previous owner had swapped out for short stroking and tuning.

-$850 OBO shipped CONUS for the rifle and scope
-$800 OBO shipped CONUS for the rifle only

I’ll accept PayPal, Venmo or cash

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like any additional pictures

Hi all..
I have wanted to start this thread and express my thankfulness for this site.. I also wanted to say how much I appreciate the wonderful moderators who keep it clean and running..I also want to thank everyone who meaningful contributes information.. what brought this to the top for me was the moderator posting the video on terrifs and how they affect this industry and hobby..
yes some of the posts have gotten fairly political and I think just to let the information flow the moderator has overlooked a lot of things that would normally get the thread locked.. maybe people banned..
I also agree with a lot of the political posts and disagree with others.. that's us as humans.. But this forum is not a political forum..
so I just want to show my appreciation for this site, moderators and you who contribute..
now is anyone else thankful?? I'd really like to see a long big shout-out thread thanking for this site and the people who work hard to make it work and keep it running.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Skout Epoch .25 cal / 35", $1,035 Shipped (CONUS)

*** SOLD ***

I think that in this economic environment price is king for selling stuff! As such I am listing my other Skout Epoch in .25 cal with 35" barrel for a lower price. My other listed Epoch (.22) was purchased new by me and is in like-new condition, barely shot. The gun listed here was purchased used by me (also received in Nov. of last year) from AoA and is in only excellent condition (I don't see any blemishes and it functions just like it should). Being the second owner of this gun, I don't know its full history, amount it has been shot, etc.

This one comes with the longer Epoch barrel, and a couple of extras - a second (aftermarket) magazine and the expensive Skout extended lower ARCA rail (with installed-but-easily-removable section of Pic rail).

I think that I've only had 1-2 shooting sessions with this gun as well. It really seems like my whole airgun shooting attitude changed significantly when the California Dept of Fish & Wildlife closed down our big range at the end of 2024. Now virtually all of my airgun shooting is just with buddies in my backyard, the majority on the little 25 yard fun range. So now I just look for a gun which is quick and easy to shoot right off the rack, and really don't need the capabilities a gun like the Skout provides.

That 35" barrel really seems to provide some power! Here are the test results from the first time I shot the gun as received from AoA:

Skout 25 test.jpg

These are big and heavy to ship in their OEM cases, but my price includes CONUS shipping. Comes with all of the accessories I received with the gun, as shown in the pics below (and, of course, the OEM Skout hard case).

$1,035 paid via PP Friends & Family, including shipping in the CONUS.

First "I'll take it" wins.

Thanks,
Tom
