PCP Rifle  SOLD Diana Bandit Pistol / Carbine .22

I have decided to sell my .22 caliber Diana Bandit. I bought it new with the idea to build a custom carbine. Buck Rail had all of the components I wanted to make the transformation so soon after receiving the pistol, I bought the kit to build the carbine. What’s cool about it is that there was no modifications to the pistol other than taking off the original stock and sights, then bolting on the new kit parts. Really simple but made this thing more fun to shoot. After shooting it, I saw that the power curve did not lend itself to accuracy over a string of shots. So I added and Altaros regulator. That made things more consistent and the gun is deadly accurate at 25yds for 20 shots. It is exceptionally light weight (just under 4lbs.) and the perfect close quarters pesting tool you could ask for. It comes as pictured with all of the original components as well as the completed carbine kit. Here’s a list of the cost involved with building this:

Diana Bandit .22 $ 199.00
Buck Rail Lower $ 32.00
Buck Rail Side Folder $ 54.00
Minimalist Butt Stock $ 50.00
Front Rail Handguard $ 20.00
Dovetail to Pic Rail $ 10.00
Reflex Sight $ 32.00
Altaros Regulator $ 99.00
Carm Magazines (2) $ 40.00
Total Build Cost $536.00
Build price does not include original shipping costs on any of these items…
Full disclosure... There is a gouge and a couple of scratches from attempting to remove the moderator base. :cry:That is the only blemish.

I’ll let the entire package go for $350.00 shipped CONUS. Drop me a note if you have any questions.

Dairy Farm Pesting -

Spent about 3 hours at the dairy farm yesterday. (Sorry! It's 70 and overcast here.) There are two areas I shoot. One is the feed pile where the birds, mostly Starlings now, Eat and poop. At that site I had about 10 dead Starlings and 1 collared dove. The other location was a farmer owned pole and wire that was at the entrance to the barns where there was feed in the trouhgs for the cows to eat.
My Alpha Wolf is DOA so I went to my back up rifles. I used my Daystate Pulsar with a Heli board at power level 4. Chrono says with the .22 Hades ut about 612 FPS. That rifle has a 9 round magazine. I went through 8 magazines and probably missed maybe 25 shots. This is 25yd shooting. At the power level I dropped from 230 bar to 200 bar. The pulsar is close to antique status, but it always hits where you aim it. Even after a long rest period between uses (maybe weeks). You do the math but there won't be as many Starlings breeding next Spring. The farmer reminded me that I shoot em and he takes care of the 'crime scene'. Also got a nice text that thanked me for helping control a costly problem for the farm. Farmeres should be a 'protected species' and we air gunners should help them any way we can.

Tesla Baffle design must be working ;)

This is an orchard and garden that I watch over for a friend.

I shot at (and missed) two rabbits while these guys (twins) were roaming around between me and the rabbits at about 50 yards. The rabbits were at about 80 yards. The ATN sets it's zero based upon what the LRF tells it. It reports that info on screen and in the video. The building behind the fawn is about 30 yards past him. I didn't trust the ATN and aimed high expecting the drop would be calculated wrong... nope. Gotta love JSB 15.89 in 20 cal at 28 fpe. Flat like a laser.

Their momma didn't care for the noise but she just kept back a bit, she didn't leave.

Plenum Size Does Matter !!

I know this has been discussed before, but kinda shocked that adding just a 20cc plenum to my .25 caliber RAW HM1000x gave me 1011 fps with 34 grain JSB's (77 fpe) using OEM spring.
The set-point has always been set at about 150 bar, but w/o the additional plenum ... same set-up maxed out at 930 fps.

The additional plenum had been on another lesser caliber gun, but felt it belonged on the higher powered gun.

Going to lower regulator set-point to about 140 bar with the idea of getting the gun to max out at around 940 fps. Trying to tune to about 910 fps for efficiency/low ES, knowing the gun can generally shoot 1 MOA at said velocity.

Lower Stock and Plenum.JPG

I was shooting my Prescioussss,HW50S .177 and this happened.

So I step outside at the edge of the evening as the air cools a bit to put a few rounds down range. I'm shooting at this Birchwood casey swinging spoons target at 25 yds. I usually shoot for group but I'm bit low on energy these days and I'm gonna be out of light soon. Anyhows. Things r going as expected "7 for 7" when the scopes windage cap fell off the scope. So I put it back on and snugged it up. And I'm thinking, " I wonder if that is going to change my POI". Lo and behold my next shot was a miss. Just to be sure I took another shot. miss. I had to adjust my windage 6-8 clicks to get poi back on target. The scope is a Hawke AMX 2-7 X 32. Do you think that would be the case with all scopes. Just changing the tension on a scope cap.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Several months ago we had a woodchuck take up home in the backyard. He had burrowed under an old slab of concrete that I’m sure was once a patio. I was told by the better half he was cute and OFF limits. It really wasn’t a big deal. I was planning on doing a deck over that old patio anyway and chucky really wasn’t bothering anything. Fast forward to now. Deck is done and my wife caught ole chucky on the patio table eating all her plants 😂😂. She put a bounty on his head now. Lmao. She took a pic of him on the table. I will have to have her send it so I can post it here. Anyone else’s sig other ever have a change of heart about backyard “pets”?

MKlll

After many years of kicking it around I ordered an mklll this morning. Thank you to Steve at SPAW for putting up with me and answering all of my questions. Now the waiting begins, should have it by the end of this week or early next week. Yes, im an FX guy, and yes, I've been drinking the Kool-Aid!!!! I have an FX Wildcat currently and love FX airrifles!

PCP Rifle  SOLD Dreamtac compact 22cal **SPF**

Looking to sell my fx dreamtac compact 22cal.
Gun has been tuned for crosman hollow points at 750fps for a nice ratting gun. It is LASER accurate with the cheap pellets at this speed, and gets 140 shots on a 250b fill of the 300cc bottle.
It’s very easy to tune it back up for high power shooting, and will do so without issue.
Currently has the 910 airguns short throw lever installed on it, and an ergo grip. Will come with both, as well as factory cocking lever and factory fx grip.

Asking $900 shipped with fx hard case, or can do $850shipped without case.
Either way, it will be well packaged, and shipped ups ground with insurance.

Buy with confidence knowing I have perfect seller feedback, and have done many transactions here on the classifieds.

Message for any more info or more pics

Scope and moderator not included. Comes with 1 factory side shot magazine, and will throw in 3D printed speed loader also.

Thanks for looking.

Looking for a low magnification FFP scope with parralax, which one?

As the title say I'm looking for a low magnification FFP scope with parralax, this is for my PARD 007s and sp
I prefer FFP because i use the reticle with Strelok Pro and MTC Rapier

Got these in FFP already, a Vector Veyron 3-12x44, as well as a Taurus and a Continental 34mm, both in 3-18x50

Something like 2-7x32 or lower would be great 🙂👍

DIY dead head plug

I was thinking of buying a Foster dead head plug, but got to thinking I have some fill probes as well. It would be easy to make a dead head receptacle for a fill probe. I measured the probe and it was 0.312" in diameter that is close enough to 5/16" that just drilling a 5/16" hole into some metal may work. As long as the wall thickness won't yield, worst case the surface finish from drilling is too poor so it leaks.

FX Impact MKII slow leak...Found it!!!

Found my leak!
Look at your atmospheric blead hole on the right side of your Impact.
Small leak over a few weeks is a thing to troubleshoot. A bit of soap an water is cheap and affective.

C39 19790 O-ring 10x1,5 NBR90
A bit of a challenge, but most can do it with patience.

Tuning consistency

I'll say up front that I'm relatively new to PCP tuning. I'm having troubles getting a consistent tune. Here's what I'm trying to achieve:

Setup: FX Maverick 700mm .22 with 11 gram hammer, Huma pellet probe and hammer spring, shooting through the slug transfer port.
Pellet: JSB Exact .22 Monster redesigned
Goal: consistent speeds around 950 FPS

And here's what I did:
- Find the regulator pressure resulting in a plateau of 1000 FPS at maximal hammer spring tension. This turned out to be 120 bar on the rear regulator, so I set the front to 150 bar for a 30 bar difference.
- Turn back the hammer spring tension to find the 95% optimum at 950 FPS. This turned out to be half way the preset wheel (4 out of 7). The difference between 4 and 5 is quite big (940 at setting 4 and 970 at setting 5). I tried to finetune using the preload screw, but that didn't do much.

I now have an average of 940 FPS, but the spread is quite large (range from 920 to 975, not changing the hammer spring tension). At 100 meters, I can also see that the rifle is not very consistent.
What would the more experienced people around here advice me to do to achieve a more consistent FPS? Lighter hammer maybe? Or more pressure? Any advice is appreciated!

Pathfinder XR on the Warpath…

She’s been itching to have at it and was tired of hearing Atomic “this”, Atomic “that” and was wanting to “git some”. So we arrived and I setup off the hood of the Subaru and proceeded to take out three sparrows and one starling off the long, low, hoop house roof. I didn’t think I could recover the bodies from but was able to push them down from inside the hoop house. The longest shots off the roof, 54 yard, back to back kills. Shot one sparrow from the hay bale at 50 yards off that silo. The rest of the kills were inside the hoop house from 20 to 40 yards, with the bulk of the kills at 25 yards. I did not recover five bodies and I missed at least three times, mistimed shots, birds flying off as I broke the shot, cosmic interference, etc.🙄 She was wrecking them with the Crosman Premier Hollow Points. I don’t intend to use my Pathfinder XR as my walk about rig. The Atomic XR retains that role. And it would have easily made all the same shots the Pathfinder XR did today. Shots over 60 yards on pests is where the Pathfinder outperforms the Atomic otherwise, sub 50 yards, it’s a tie for me.

Holdover labeled on Parallax Wheel vs. yardage

Does anyone else just label their parallax wheel with the holdover instead of having to use a range card? I just label the wheel with my holdovers at different focus distances and I do not range the actual yardage and have to look at a cut sheet. Focus on the target, read the holdover and shoot.

Another 1st place finish at NRL22 today for your ol' pal Air Shootist! ;)

This morning I headed out to Aurora Sportsman's Club to shoot the July NRL22 event - in the airgun division, of course!
It was a fun day with lots of extremely experienced competitors, I saw many $5k+ rimfire rifles out there. Anywho, came in 1st for airgun, 4th overall. Not bad! That's my 4th NRL22 Airgun 1st place in a row using the FX Panthera .22 600mm with .218 30 grain Patriot Javelin slugs!

Oh, also - the jersey seen here will soon be available at www.myhighpressureair.com! It won't have your name on it like mine does but it's still super dope, and of course it is because I designed it!

Here are some pics!

Anyone else shooting the NRL22 matches? They are super fun and if you're thinking about getting into it, just do it! After my first one in March (which I was nervous for) I felt right at home at every subsequent event!

Thanks to FX, High Pressure Pneumatics, Kraford & Lypt, Aurora Sportsman's Club, and the NRL22 for all they do!

Too much time

Weather is HOT so in the comfort of my air conditioning I installed two high quality Butt plates from PRS on my Daystate Redwolf and Daystate Revere. Then I got brave or stupid and put a similar adjustable butt plate from England on my Air Arms TX 200. Mission accomplished.
I can honestly say that projects like these make me miss all the bells and whistles my ol woodshed used to have.
