Why can't FX update their website faster than they can introduce new model airguns?

I just got an email with this model
It's really similar to what i'm looking for. Similar high end brands are closer to $1700.
I know the premium brands are premium for a reason. Should I just wait and spend more and not risk it?

In this video this AAA competitive shooter uses carcasses (to be processed for consumption) to test airgun ammo penetration and expansion. I keep forgetting g this guy’s name. I want to say it’s Andy, but I’m unsure.

This testing is really presented tastefully. He will clean and display the spent ammo and skulls to show the effects of head shots from 60 yards. He also took some body shots, but he doesn’t show the effects of the shots in tissue. However, you will see the expansion on the recovered cleaned projectiles.

I bought this rifle last week. With new spring and seals installed, the gun shoots perfectly. I want to brush up the stock, and give it a sporting look when I am at it. I already have a restored 300 stock available, so no crisis if the project doesn`t come out very well. I roughly marked the lines directly on the stock, and used the band saw for a start. After that it was over to the grinder. To make the trigger guard fit the new profile, I also had to grind the base a bit. To my suprise, a nice walnut appeared under the brown and ugly coating. After several hours of sanding, I came down to 80 grit. I will use some white G10 between the butpad and stock, and (after some back and forth) also red G10 and a bit of ebony under the pistol grip. Todays work fill be further sanding, and hopefully a layer of Danish oil at the end of the day.

Ok this is simple 3-5 shot groups @ 100 using bucket and Styx. Tell us gun cal and pellet or slug and a pic of the target your on your honor. See if you can beat what i shot this morning gun was 25 tiapan vet 2 tactical shooting NSA 34.9 @970

Need some input. Just bought a new .177 Diana 250 from Airgun Depot for my son. Pitched the scope, tightened all bolts, and put on my Sightmark Wraith that I had on another rifle. I think I have put 150 shots into the target at 25 yards and can't get any consistency. Thought the scope was acting up, so I put the Wraith on my HW 97. Never had it on that but took 3 shots to zero like it usually takes to zero. Went back to the 250 and tried again with the Wraith. Felt like I was chasing cats with it hitting everywhere but where I aimed. Will try cleaning the barrel and check with my Arken this weekend. Or, is it just the rifle? Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

When I first got into this sport I started off with a daisy 880 bone stock and it was used on rats. Later on I got the idea to hunt with airguns and moded my 880 to shoot harder and faster to the point I could take out squirrels to 30 yards reliably and had taken rabbits too. I later got the p-rod and disco and never looked back at pumpers for hunting although I still love them. I realized that with a pumper I would be more precise as I only had one shot or pump it and when the pcp came into the picture shot placement was still vital however the confidence in multiple shots available reduced my accuracy at times. I've considered taking one of my highly modded pumpers and taking it hunting this coming season for the thrill but still ethical kills. I'm talking 17ftlb .177 pumper, 20ftlb .22 pumper, or .25 pumper (no fpe data yet since mods). How many people here have, or still hunt with their pumpers? What has been your success rate and what are you using?

Not looking for quick, flippant answer. This is 2 fold question. First, quietest report, ldc or not, and not having that “ping” under your ear. Now, I’m thinking the taipan slash will meet those standards, but , what else is there? RAW ? I’ve had an Evol, any others? Vulcan 3 - great gun, but noisy. I await your responses, thanks all!

Firstly, thank you Maxtrouble for gifting me a Hw30 stock. Now I have a stock that I can "fix" the comb on.

My favoite Hw30 is my first. It's a 2015 with the most boring plane jane beech stock Weihrauch has probably ever graced a Hw30 with. This rifle is my all time favorite. I have no idea how many tens of thousands of shots been through it. In all that time i never noticed the stock as uncomfortable with the peeps. Recently the weather had been lousy and when it wasn't I was busy with other rifles. All scoped. A couple weeks ago I broke out my "Baby" BB gun and noticed that I needed to tilt my head to line up the sights and it wasn't as comfortable as the scoped guns.

I've run into Weihrauch combs that were too high for irons before. My Hw95 luxus and the 77K I briefly owned were both impossible for me to use with irons. I'm not sure why Weihrauch has put scope height combs on guns with irons. I think it's terrible.

This Hw30 normally gets more use than everything else so I want it to fit me well. Sentimental value prevented me from butuchering the original stock. Today I mowed the cheek piece and comb down on my gifted stock. Now it fits me great and I can't wait to use it more. It's hard to believe I've had it for so long and it never bothered me before. Idk, maybe because of recent weight loss my face has less cushion on it

1. Start from low reg and valve open fully, full hammer, find the target velocity by increasing reg pressure, close valve until speed drops. DONE
2. Start 150bar on reg, macro down to target speed, close valve until speed drops. DONE

Measures all distances 10 yards too long IE: 96 Y shows 106 Y

Thoughts on these ? Alot of guns don't like em ,why??are they the better pellet for hunting?and why did they stop at a low caliber I've heard the legends of the predator polymag 50 cal lol.

I own a RTI P3 performance, which is an amazing gun, incredibly easy to tune & accurate, so when all the hype about the Mora first started I already knew that was going to be my next purchase, a 700mm in .25 calibre.
The first Mora I received had a badly etched serial number, so I couldn't put it on my firearms certificate, back that went & then I had a very long wait to receive another one.
My new gun finally arrived on the 14th of February & was the new version with the pneumatic hammer system, I brought a series of slugs, ZAN 45grn, Zan 41grn, H&N 36grn, H&N 46grn & others. I was favouring the ZAN 45grn knowing that many of the YouTube guys & airgun forum members were having amazing success in their .25 700mm Mora's.

After a barrel clean I sat down at my bench to start zeroing & tuning, with an FX Ballistic chrono, no matter what I did, including following advice from many other shooters, the owners manual, etc & trying in vain to reach out to RTI themselves. I Could not get the gun to group. So I decided to borescope the barrel, the crown appeared very shallow & not what I would of expected from a LW barrel, also the rifling was badly cut & uneven.

So back to the distributors, Highland Outdoors & credit to them, they agreed with me on the barrel & swapped it out for a new one. I now have the gun back, accuracy is slightly better, but when I say slightly I mean golf ball sized groups at 50 yards, compared to tennis ball sized groups with the previous barrel. Also velocity was inconsistent, no matter what reg setting or valve setting.

So off I go to try to find & resolve the issue, things I tried include.

The obvious, multiple reg settings & valve settings.
Adjusted seating depth/head space.
Swapped optics.
Replaced slug probe oring.
Checked transfer port alignment.
Checked optics rail.
Re-indexed the barrel.
Borescoped barrel (crown is still shallow, but rifling is ok)
Used the bore scope to check for internal baffle strikes.
Weighed & sotted the slugs.
Checked over by my gunsmith (50 years of experience.
Got two others to shoot the gun.
Put the gun in a lead sled.

Believe me whatever your going to suggest ive tried it already

I fitted a digital gauge to the reg, to see if it was fluctuating (hard to tell sometimes with an analogue gauge), but its pretty consistent, although im having to run my reg at 170 bar, compared to others running 150bar to get the same velocity these guys were shooting the ZAN 45grn at 990/995fps.

My valve adjustment can be full closed or full open & anywhere between it has zero effect on speed, consistency, accuracy, etc, etc.

And believe me it's shot over a thousand slugs though it testing different combinations. And im no idiot when it comes to airgun tuning.

I did purchase this gun with the idea of getting into benchrest, but I have to say im very disappointed & disheartened with the gun & the whole experience. It pains me to write a negative piece on this, especially considering the huge success everyone else seems to be having. I guess I just got that one bad gun. I'm hoping RTI Arms / Rok may see this so the £2300 I've paid wasn't in vain & they step up as a reputable company & get this gun replaced.
