Benjamin  New Pistol

Ordered a custom field target pistol from Airgun Revisions. I have two tins of pellets through it. Added some nice furniture to it today. Amazingly accurate pistol. The 10.3's seem to buck the wind like a .22. Put a Burris 2-7x32 pistol scope on it. Hitting spinners and cans with aplomb in a stiff breeze. Thirty regulated shots. Very satisfied customer.

JTS  JTS Super 9X - new this fall

An interesting new model that JTS showed at the shot show is a barrel cocking “Target” rifle. Super 9X. Match barrel and match trigger. Target sights. Internals are said to be of the highest quality. The picatinny rail is removable to expose the dovetail. Could handle a Diopter sight then. $140. Supposed to be here this fall. I like the high comb and checkering on the pistol grip and forearm. Looks like a Weihrauch of yesterday. Very traditional. Appears well thought out. This is the one I want to see. Borrowed pictures.

N/A  Big Bore Photo Thread -Yeah It’s Time to Show Off Your Big Boy Toys!

If you’re into big-bores and like to show off your guns this thread’s for you. So let’s see your guns, setups, and savage long-range groups. Let us know if you’re a moderated sniper or slinging lead loud and proud!

No pea shooters allowed. If you aren’t producing 200 FPE or better, this isn’t the place unless we’re talking a big bore that can also sling air bolts. Feel free to post links to threads of your hunts of hunting photos with your big bore. Since this is not the bunting forum, please refrain from posting photos of dead animals here. Here is a more appropriate forum to post hunting photos https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/photo-thread-quarry-and-the-airgun-that-took-it.1197241/

N/A  I want a cheap, really precise pistol with enough power to do small game

Hi lads, its summer and I'm puting time to refine my pistols.

IMG_20250620_212545.jpg

Those are with a pp800 at 10m off hand, and I'm not happy at all, I can group much better with the 50 buck p17 China clone, so I'm considering to get another more precise gun.

-Must be .177
-Enough power to do etical pest control and small game (that discards the p17)
-A pistol, not a 40cm long, 2kg Star wars reject, better -30cm 1 kg or so max.
-Competition like precision.
-Cheap.

I'm looking the Zoraki- hp1 (not ultra)/Webley Alecto, and I think I read somewhere that the pp800 can be really good if you change the barrel. Yeah I know that youtuber do much better groups with the pp800, but I bet he have been given a tweaked demo model or something.
Is there other less known options that can take on target pistols?

Recommended O Ring Kit

Hello Nation,

I'm looking for an o'ring set that will help keep my rifles up and going. I am aware that there are vendors that sell reseal kits for certain rifles, but I'm looking for something more comprehensive and less specific. I have a Zelos that lost 500 PSI overnight, so I need to identify the leak. I also have three other rifles that will inevitably need o'rings in the future. Any recommendations?

AEA  How to explain these differences?

I am in the process of finding a good combo pellet/slug and velocity for my AEA Challenger Bullpup .25. Today, while shooting a few 5-shots
groups I got these:
View attachment 571956

View attachment 571954
First group shot, 1" ctc, second group 3/8" ctc, third group 3/4". Same distance (32 yds.), same overall conditions. What can explain such a big difference between groups 1 and 2? Can something be concluded about the gun accuracy? This pattern of good/regular/poor groups repeat itself time and time again. Frustrating...

PSA: Pellets can't go through USA airport security

This will probably not happen to anyone else, but just in case...

Do not buy pellets while traveling by air without a checked bag. TSA views them the same as firearm ammo and won't let them in as carry-on. We know how stupid this is, but that's the rule and they can't be talked out of it.

If you do end up in this position, you may very well become the owner of one of the smallest checked bags in existence. (It's actually a nice bag that came with dense foam inside, worked out perfectly for me. It just cost too much because airport pricing.)

Taking the plunge into PCP

So after a while of wanting to get into PCP I am going to take the plunge with a Umarex Notos. I am still not sure on scope, rings, and if I will go with a tank or compressor from Amazon. I am leaning towards a tank. What do you guys recommend for scope, rings, and tank set up? I am balling on a budget for this so let’s keep it cheap lol.
if possible please provide a link to them.
Thank you,
Dustin

FINALLY....they came out....

Finally, went to my permission and the damn rodents were out, boy were they out. A true target rich environment. Everything from 25 yards to 125 yards. Luckily they'd mowed the weeds at the 125 yards so it was way easier to see the pesky rodents.

Today I used my Raptor, 660mm 26in. barrel, AEA 30.2 SLUGS at 960fps. 56 ft#, 41 ft# at 115 yards. My marks were spot on from a few weeks back so close enough

Saw some out at my 75 yard mark and pretty sure I hit it, saw some more out at 120 yards had to play around with windage and elevation and thought I'd gotten a few, never did find them but a Turkey Vulture sure did. Saw more at 55 yards, nary a clue if I hit them but I scared them. Saw two at 25 yards nailed the small one then momma came over to investigate, bad mistake. Then 4 more at 25 or so on a log, how I missed them is beyond me, I think I had my elevation off, I've got to get new glasses. Then people started showing up and that was the end of it, eyes were getting fuzzy anyway so it was time to call it, hadn't seen any for close to half an hour, plus the wind was starting to kick up. Sadly my faithful retriever Pete couldn't make it, something about his birthday or some such nonsense and Fil wasn't available either to go and fetch.

It was strange how the 120 yard blew out the guts but the 25 yards were pretty much pass throughs.

Taipan  New Slash videos posted by Taipan on YouTube

I was just watching the new videos on the Slash posted by Taipan. The gun is much more involved taking it apart compared to the Veterans, but at least you don't have to disassemble the Slash to adjust the regulator.

Also, I don't know anything about semi-auto guns but with a hammer gun, we are trying to balance the hammer strike with the regulator pressure. According to the videos, the Slash only allows regulator adjustments... so I'm assuming the gun is hammerless? In which case, it means I won't have to worry about shot to shot consistency when adjusting the power via the regulator?

Taipan  Chart for Taipan Slash testing.

Taipan sent this to me the other day. I ordered the .22 and this caliber and the .177 and .30 have limited testing compared to the .25.

Notice the fill pressures ( initial pressure bar ) are all under the max 300 bar.
The .22 had only 235 bar onboard for the test, got 56 shots just below the reg pressure and the shot count seems it would be quite a bit higher with a full or close to full fill.

I would probably keep mine under 300 B as well but not as low as in the tests.
