Contemplating about letting her go

Thinking about letting my Mutant go, been with me since AigunWest? first import it. Got Dmann help with getting a CZ barrel from a AAS200 because the oem that came with back then was a Linestone? It’s a dream to shoot and how smooth it functions. Never have any issue with it. This morning, did a 5shot@25y on 15.9jsb@900fps in the backyard which I don’t normally do because I know what it’s capable of.

Only mods I did to it was the cocking indicator and HST with markings.

I recently got a Veteran also in .22 standard, that’s the only reason I’m thinking of letting it go.

Shooting a Snowpeak PP750 at the General Target

Hello everyone,

This morning I shot the General Target with my Snowpeak PP750 .177 cal using the RWS Supermag Field Line 9.3gr Wadcutter pellets. Cold outside but set up in my shop at 15-feet and was able to shoot a 200 score. I had to hand load each pellet one at a time because the pellets were very hard to load using the magazine. The domed pellets feed OK from the magazine but the flat face of the wadcutter caused way too much resistance for me to feel comfortable "forcing" them in.

Atomic XR Carbine

Hi, need some help from owners of a Atomic XR or Ranger. I purchased a new Atomic carbine from AOA. The gun arrived with air in it and shoots well. I have pumped the gun to 250 bar and it has held pressure for the three days I tested it. However if I shoot the gun down to 100 bar the gun will leak down to 0 overnight. AOA says that maybe once the gun goes below the regulated pressure it will leak down. I need to know if this is true? Does your Atomic or PCP in general leak down once it has reached the regulated pressure. I do not want to hand pump this gun every day from 0 to 250 bar. And somedays after shooting to 100 bar, I dont feel like pumping back up to 250. I have never had a regulated PCP before, but my non reg. Marauder doesn't leak at any pressure. I have emailed Brocock but have not heard back from them yet. Doesn't seem to make sense, but as I said seems to hold fine at 250 bar.

NLA WTS Leshiy 2 350mm

I have 3 alpha 350mm barrels. 22, 25, and 30 cal. The 25 has 2 mags, the other barrels one mag. I have repr and non repr regulators. Will sell the whole package for 2200. L2 and one barrel of your choice 1800 shipped. I have several extra rebuild kits for orings and indexing. Not interested in any trades, money is going for another hobby. Message me and discuss what configuration your interested in. Barrels will be sold separately after gun is sold. I shoot this L2 almost every day with no issues. Squirrels aren't included with purchase. Search the hunting section and you'll see multiple kills made with this L2. It's not a safe queen, I use it. The shroud has vinyl carbon wrap with piccatini rail, comes off easily. I put it there to protect the shroud. Will not respond to ridiculously low offers, I am not desperate to sell.

Big Bang Pellet Trap

Hello everyone,

I wanted a really good Pellet Trap that I could use both indoors and outdoors and one that would last for a long time. I could not find anything that I liked so I designed one from scratch, what I call the Big Bang Pellet Trap.

I designed it to be made out of aluminum ( except for the interior backing plate ) for two main reasons: 1) It would last forever in any weather conditions and, 2) It cuts the overall weight down for easy handling. The Target Face Opening is framed with aluminum angle for added reinforcement strength and a place to clamp on the cardboard backing material for your paper targets. An additional aluminum angel is added on the bottom at the back to act as a footing so that the Trap can be placed on a level surface. The front and rear angle can also have some holes drilled, for some screws to hold a “block” of wood to mount on a post or pipe.

The “back plate” of the Trap is set at an angle to reduce the impact of the pellet and deflect it downward and creating a “trap” for the spent pellets. The angle also eliminates any splatter from the pellet that would cause damage the backside of the paper target.

I added a 11-gauge ( 1/8" ) thick mild steel interior “backing plate” to enhance the strength so as to eliminate damage caused by a pellet. I have spent many weeks testing this Pellet Trap from 10-meters out to 50-yards and as a result I have determined that it can be safely shot with no damage under the following conditions:
At 10-meters no more than 30fpe, ( foot pounds of energy )
At 25-yards no more than 55fpe, ( foot pounds of energy )
At 50-yards no more than 70fpe, ( foot pounds of energy )
I have shot this Trap almost 600 times as of today and it shows no sign of wear at all.

I designed this for use with Airgun Pellets ONLY, NOT to be used with any rim fire of center fire ammunition.

I have a good friend who owns a welding fabrication shop and asked him to build two of these Traps for me and here are a couple of photos. They work great and are so easy to set up, change targets, change target backing material, move to different locations and easy to store. All of the spent pellets and target paper and cardboard backing material that has been shot winds up inside for a no mess and easy clean up.

How to fix Benjamin Marauder bolt

I broke the pellet probe on my Benjamin Marauder .177. Called Crossman and they didn’t have any replacement parts because the gun is a “generation 1”?? I think that was the reason, too old is what he meant, they didn’t have any regardless…

It still fires but I haven’t chronographed it yet to see if the velocity is still where it was. If it is, I don’t think I’ll bother fixing it.

The only way I think it could be repaired would be to drill a hole where the probe broke off and insert a pin in the hole. I’d use some epoxy in the hole to keep it in there. It appeared to be made of powdered metal so It shouldn’t be hard to drill, just have be really careful. Pretty sure I’d need to get this in a lathe so it’s aligned properly. It would be impossible to get it lined up to drill on my drill press and there’s too much play in the dp to do it accurately.

Anybody have any thoughts on this or maybe a source I don’t know about for a replacement bolt?

Krale shipment held up

Even though I have purchased most of my airguns from the terrific domestic suppliers, every once in a while, Krale will have a rifle not stocked by AOA, PA, or the other “typical” airgun houses.

Heretofore, I have had unbelievable Krale/UPS service as their rifles typically arrive within three days of order.

I needed another winter “tuning project” so on January 16th I ordered a Weihrauch 77 long in .22. It was released on the 17th to UPS. Below you can see the tracking where it went to Louisville, Ky - only 180 miles from where I live in Indiana, then went back to the east coast, then “cleared” customs on the 20th, but remains in a warehouse on the east coast with no movement since the 20th. I have no idea why it would go the the center of the US and close to the final destination and then be sent 1000 miles away.

I called both UPS international and Krale today and both parties claim there is nothing they can do about it and I just have to be patient until it arrives someday.

This will be my last experience purchasing from overseas as I don’t like having a contract to purchase from someone who can’t control the delivery outcomes.

I am certain Krale is very reputable but the variable of the US Customs Service and having to have it shipped all over poses not only the potential for a lost shipment but exponentially greater opportunities for shipment damage as well.

SOLD TALON TUNES AIRFORCE CONDOR SS .25

TALON TUNES AIRFORCE CONDOR SS .25

For sales is an absolute mint condition Talon Tunes Airforce Condor SS in .25 caliber. Purchased directly from Tony in September 2018. This gun shoots lights out and packs a hard punch.

Shooting JSB Match Diablo EXACT KING .25 (25.39 grains) it averages about 876lbs for about 50 shots.

Tony performed the following on the gun:

  • Two set screws are installed and adjusted for the trigger to precisely control the first stage of Travel, and the amount of overtravel. This takes the trigger from the Factory’s stiff pull to a crisp and consistent pull for improved accuracy, control and feel.
  • The breech slide O-Rings are replaced with 90 Durometer o-rings and the breech slide and barrel are mated for smooth operation and a tight seal.
  • Barrel is polished where the breech o-rings ride.
  • Valve is disassembled, polished and ported for improved operation and air flow.

Also Included:

  • AEON Scope: 6-24-50 SF
  • TalonTunes Quad Rail
  • TalonTunes Tank Adapter
  • TalonTunes Custom Grip
  • TalonTunes Gen.6 SOS Shroud/Sound Moderator 9 (never used!)

After 2hrs finally got one

Went out to the usual spot, trying to get bunnies before the 29th. Saw about 5 healthy ones n about 10 lil ones, they didn't stick around for long, they scared easily. Lots of squirrels, they were active since the weather was nice sunny n 60's. Had my range finder, only to find out battery dumped on me. Finally after 2hrs of walking , I nailed this guy at about 20yrds DRT on the spot. The .22 CPHP ripped through his neck doing major damage. All in all it was a great day to get out, get my exercise. Squirrels 3 to 1, hopefully even the score next outing..

Caliber Collection?

So. I have an idea about usability and selection.

I feel that there are overlaps in calibers and capabilities.

For instance.

I don't care for .177. but it's still a usable caliber for small game.

177
20
22
25
30
35
45
50.

I know there are more but I feel those are the most popular.

So for "hunting" as paper don't care about damage. I would say a set of 177, 25, 45 would cover a wind range of prey.

As I prefer nothing smaller than 22... I would say 22, 35, 50 would be a solid covering of calibers and you could tune the pellet weight to what ya plan to kill.

What caliber(s) would you guys say for the best selection to cover small to large game?

Coverage from small to large least amount of calibers?

NLA Springers that exist, and are for sale right here right now, open to offers

812F53EB-28A1-4149-BE52-EA496ADD5A2D.jpeg

All of these have been in my collection for many years. It’s time to move some iron and wood. For me to own a rifle for years it needs to be pretty darn special. If it’s not it gets sold.

Payment is postal money order, or PayPal friends and family, unless we arrange something different.

The first one who sends me a PM saying I’ll take it, Will be the new owner of one of these very special rifles.

1. Stock for FWB, 124, 127. These haven’t been made for a long time. It’s a Tyrolean from James Maccarri. I picked it up a dozen years ago on the yellow forum. It is finished with hand drubbed True Oil by me, I’m very good. $675 shipped conus.

2. A hand cut, handmade Shyuda stock (spelling?). This was made by a college professor out in Montana. It is absolutely gorgeous, the workmanship is incredible. It will drop right into a pro sport from air arms. It is a stutsen - long stock. $650 shipped conus.

3. Webbly Exocet 22 caliber. The stock was made by James Maccarri, you will never see another like it. It is the most beautiful Birdseye maple I have ever seen, and the workmanship is absolutely impeccable. He also tuned the rifle, and put one of his custom muzzle breaks on. $1275 shipped conus without the scope or rings.

4. Good luck finding another one of these. Sig 177 caliber, hardly shot. Includes the new box. Extremely accurate excellent rifle. I have two. $795.00 shipped conus.

5. Another James Maccarri work of art. This was the exact stock that was on the front page of his website for many years. It is absolutely gorgeous Walnut. The rifle is another Webley Exocet. 22 cal. $1795 shipped conus, scope and rings included.

6. SOLD The most sought after model Walter LGV 22 caliber Woodstock with the cheek piece. Extremely accurate, it will pile them up at 50 yards. $695 shipped bonus.

Please PM me with questions. If you need more pictures of a specific rifle, please send me your cell phone so I can text. Between this site in the yellow forum I’ve been well known in the Airgun community for over 10 years, buy with confidence.

I have no interest in lowball offers, I will not respond to them. And I don’t need any advice on how much my stuff is worth. I seem to get a lot when I place adds here.

Enjoy the pictures if nothing else!

Mike
