SOLD [SOLD] Reduced: Air Venturi 100cu in / 24.9cc Mini Wingman SCBA 4500psi PCP Guppy Air Tank w/ Valve & Fill Assembly

Hello AGN:

I recently (and finally) got my own compressor so no longer need to keep as many air tanks around anymore and am looking to sell a couple of them. Up for sale are:
  • Air Ventura Mini Wingman 100cu in / 24.9cc Guppy tank w/ valve and fill hose; born on date is 09/2017 so it can be filled by dive shops through 09/2032. I got this a couple of years ago, had it filled and it's been sitting in my office, unused ever since. I've never had the opportunity to take any of my rifles into the wild to do any shooting so have never needed a guppy tank. As such, this tank is in like new condition with no noticeable wear to be found anywhere. I still have the original retail packaging with the custom foam padding to ensure safe shipping to your door. Price is $300 $285 shipped within the CONUS (HI & AK at add'l cost).

I've got plenty of references here so please feel free to check them on the Member Feedback forum prior to purchasing. Paypal Friends & Family payment is prefered (otherwise, please add 3.5% to cover the fees). Local pickup in the SF Bay Area is available as well.

Thanks!

AGT Uragan hassles

I was so frustrated yesterday that I feel like saying something about it this morning, LOL!!

I'll start off by admitting that okay for sure I have little talent or patience for mechanic-ing. That being said I hadn't yet had my King apart as far as getting the barrel out to do some polishing, cleaning, and replacing the oring, even though I've owned it for almost 2 years.

To begin with its a darn good thing I attempted this endeavor because it turned out the 2 mount screws weren't even tight anymore and actually almost to the point of being loose!! That would have bit me in the !#@# the next time I shot the rifle!

I looked up an older post on getting the barrel out. Easy enough. Then I polished and cleaned up the barrel. First problem was it took a long while to get the new oring inserted because I couldn't get the new oring into its groove. I thought about it and put a lubed pellet in the barrel just past the groove which stopped the oring from deforming beyond the groove and got the oring seated, then pushed the pellet out with a cleaning rod. I bet this took 20 minutes to do instead of 2 minutes. I'll know next time, right?!

2nd frustration = I put the rifle fully back together and the magazine wouldn't go in. WTH, you'd think that the engineers would have machined the barrel to stop at its farthest rearmost engagement with enough tolerance to allow the mag to be inserted - NOPE!

3rd frustration = After taking the rifle apart again and somewhat(see I'm learning a little) back together again. I didn't get the gap correct for the cheek piece so some of the 6 tiny screws wouldn't align to the holes this time, WTH???. A while after loosening all the barrel screws and attempting to get "all'' the different relationships required to match up, of the barrel, the rear part of the action, and the front cocking part of the action, and making sure the magazine would go in, I put the rifle fully back together.

4th frustration = As soon as I tried to cock it - the darn thing wouldn't cock and hold back the probe, what the heck happened??? I might have cussed some, grrrr!!! I can laugh now but I was pissed off at the time.

5th frustration = so I take the whole thing apart again, and by this time I'm hangry and my back is killing me! It took me another 20-25 minutes just to figure out why the gun wouldn't cock. Turned out somehow the end of the spring on the bar which resets the trigger sear had gone partly into the hole it is in front of and partly into the gap above it, it's hard to describe, but there wasn't enough spring tension to rest the sear. Is it just me that thinks the engineers could have made the whole smaller than it is or done this another way??!! I'm thinking to myself - I HATE, I HATE, I HATE this kind of stuff because it seems almost every time I try to do this type of thing it goes like this!

Having learned some hard lessons I got the gun back together, fired a few rounds, and it seems to be working. The whole debacle took 3.5 hours.

I do know that I really DISLIKE how the two halves of the action are held together by the thin barrel!!! I lost a lot of respect for this gun honestly and that is in spite of its good traits, like the huge shot count, and a pretty precise barrel that shoots slugs and pellets well also a few more things I do like about it.

In comparison its crazy how easy it is to take the barrel out of my Thomas, Redwolf, and others.

SOLD Taipan Veteran 22 short package $1200

Hey everyone,
I bought this used from Thadeous at UAG last summer. It’s been great. I wish I shot it more than I do. It definitely rolls with the best of the FX guns. Absolutely nothing wrong with it; great condition. No leaks, nothing at all to report except a great gun. Comes with everything you see: gun, two fill probes, athlon 6-24x50 IR FFP scope, two mags, single shot tray, instruction manual, receipt, and five full tins of hades. Shooting them around 930 fps last time I chronographed it. Please reach out with questions. Would love to call or FaceTime too. OBO 8041CFD6-390A-470D-9594-91C5EACE9946.jpeg

New Guy

Well, I did not find an introduction thread, maybe I am missing it - if so, maybe we can move this. Anyway, well here I am. Not sure how active I will be, but I felt the urge to join up anyway. My username is due to, because I was a bit bored at work today and I did an internet search and thin found this site, now I have another new interest - thanks guys. Yes, I have a handful of air guns, nothing fancy, but I also had no idea this had such a big following. I have to say, you guys gimme the fever.

Tuning to 11.5 FPE

Chrono my main TX recently and it was toooo close to the 12 FPE threshold for WFTF. The next logical step was to tune it down to 11.5 FPE (to legally get below the WFTF power requirement). Did a google search and talk to my shooting buddies about my options. Was told the easiest way was to leave the gun cocked for extended periods of time and then check with a chrono. I was told trying to lower springer power by 30-50 fps is not going to be easy.

Welcome to the world of voodoo spring magic. I wanted to do this conservatively soooo...First session left it cocked for 3 hrs-no change in FPE. Second session left it cocked for 6 hours-no change in FPE. Third session another 6 hours-STILL NO CHANGE IN FPE (I think I'm starting to see a pattern). Fourth session 24 hours-checked today no change. Gonna try one last session for 48 hours...after that, it's time to get out the power tools and start cutting spring. I hope I don't mess up.

NLA Now open to offers…More Springers that exist in there for sale right here.

All of these have been in my collection for many years. It’s time to move some iron and wood. For me to own a rifle for years it needs to be pretty darn special. If it’s not it gets sold.

Payment is postal money order, or PayPal friends and family, unless we arrange something different.

The first one who sends me a PM saying I’ll take it, Will be the new owner of one of these very special rifles.

1. SOLD The BSA Improved model D, 22 caliber air rifle. It appears to be original. The cartouches and checkering are very sharp, as is all the lettering on the action. The very top of the front site has been broken off. It shoots excellent. And hits hard. Plenty of energy to take out a squirrel. $875 shipped conus.

2. English sterling HR 81 22 cal. Almost new condition, one little mark up on the receiver, 98%, it looks a lot like new. Shoots great, all original. Impossible to find in this condition. $495 + shipping conus.

3. Pre-safety, pre-Beeman, HW 35 177. This rifle looks like new. It’s pretty amazing considering it’s age. It also shoots fantastic especially with the open sites. The hooded front side is pretty cool. The stock is walnut with very nice green. The checkering looks hand cut, and like it was done yesterday. No disappointments with this one. Way better than a new one. Collector grade. $675 shipped conus

4. Super fancy super tuned R1 22 cal. The blank for the stock alone cost more than $1000.10 years ago. It would cost you $2500 minimum to build this rifle today. 99% condition, incredible grain. Very accurate and smooth. $1175 shipped bonus. That’s giving that rifle away.

5. Marked Winchester model 333. Beautiful walnut. All original. Excellent plus condition. Shoots fantastic. One of a kind gun in this condition. $875 shipped conus.

6. SOLD 177 caliber air arms pro elite. The rarest of the rare. Custom walnut stock, wrist was professionally pinned. Excellent job. Excellent condition with a recent rebuild by Gary at B & B supply. This is a hot rod 177 springer.Scope not included. $625 plus shipping conus.

Please PM me with questions. If you need more pictures of a specific rifle, please send me your cell phone so I can text. Between this site in the yellow forum I’ve been well known in the Airgun community for over 10 years, buy with confidence.

I have no interest in lowball offers, I will not respond to them. And I don’t need any advice on how much my stuff is worth. I seem to get a lot when I place adds here.

Enjoy the pictures if nothing else!

Mike

High pressure pneumatics and the EPOCH!

Went to see Tom at HP pneumatics and look over and shoot Toms personal Epoch in .30cal. WOW!

Tom showed me and explained all the details of the gun such as swapping barrels, valving, electronics, he also now has factory numbers for velocity's and ftlb's at different PSI settings.

Shooting the gun was offhand only (cold and snowy right now in Mi.) but what I can say from just that brief shooting experience is the gun quite and has a very distinctive and unique shot cycle and report, different but in a very good way! Trigger is FANTASTIC!. The Magnetic Mag. worked flawlessly.

Everything about this gun speaks High quality, well engineered and thought out, AND tested before handing over to the public.

Want to say Thanks to Tom for sharing and taking the time to explain all the features of this great new entry into the PCP market.
