Looking to get into this next year thanks to Mike over at PSA putting it all together. I'm looking to get myself a decent gun to shoot the match with and I'm torn between the Crown in .22 or a Crown in .25 or possibly even a Crown in .30.

My question to people who have shot these matches, what caliber do you prefer and why? Also, if you have recommendations for a different gun I'm all ears as well. Im a bit of a "form over function" kind of guy so aesthetics are important.

Any tips on a possum that keeps coming in my yard at night.
Last night the possum came back for a visit and met my dog. It didn't go as planned for either.
Up until this point I didn't know what was driving Amos crazy at night, but last night we heard growling and barking coming from out front. I grabbed a light and ran outside. I see Amos barking/growling and circling something. My first thought was please don't be a skunk! It wasn't a skunk, just a possum.
Amos was rolling on instinct and grabbed it by the back and shook, just not enough and it got away under the porch. Once we got Amos inside, I went out with a small flashlight strapped to the muzzle and a laser sight mounted under the stock. Checked under the deck to no avail and went back in to release Amos in the hopes he'd get/find it again.
About 3 minutes later, he alert barks. It was just enough time to swap to my 2000 lumen bike light on the end of the gun. Armed with a daylight bright light that allows me to use the scope it's so bright, I went out and looked for eyes. Found it's beady little eyes staring back at me and before I got a shot off it disappeared into the woods. I tried to find it but no luck.
I realize Amos might still get it but I fear it won't venture inside the fence line now it knows what might happen.
I have no night equipment and have no budget for it yet.
Any tips for finding and putting this possum out of misery?

I know I'm cheap but I bought a gamo swarm 10x and am in the market for the best scope at reasonable price (holds zero well), any suggestions.

I've been following the $600 and under thread and there has been some very interesting guns but it sounds like most nice one's were acquired used, on smoking sales, or have been heavily modified. So my question is for a guy looking to get started and wants something good and long lasting from the get go is it even worth getting a $500 or 600 rifle or just jump right into $1,500 range. I mean they must cost more for a reason.

It also includes an Athlon Ares BTR Gen II 2.5-15x50 Scope, Scopewerks Sidewheel (with dope markings), Monstrum flip-up caps, and FX adjustable rings. (The Vortex Bubble level is NOT included.) The Donny FL Tanto is also included. The stock is stunning and has (3) coats of ARH Royal London oil applied to it. Basically, the rifle is quiet, accurate, and fully set up to compete in hunter field target. The original box, regulator, fill probe, magazines, manual, and soft case are all included. Also included is a custom brass pellet probe that is installed to aid accuracy. The regulator is set to 100 Bar and shoots AA Heavy 10.3gr @ 865fps. It is very accurate with these pellets.

Also included is a huge amount of spare parts worth over $150. Some of the spare parts include a full trigger unit, valve unit, springs, pressure gauges, o-rings, etc.

This one has been with me for a good while. Bought the Tomahawk .22 and a Pro Elite .22 about the same time(1998 or 1999?)Work got slow and had to put them both up for sale. The Air Arms rifle sold in a flash. Would sure like that one back….Kept the old Tommy. I’ve never dated it and don’t know the code. Can anyone help? I’ve never had this one open, but it shoots really nicely for a rifle at its power level. May get an ARH spring and piston seal while I still can. Would have loved to have gotten a walnut stock, but the old rifle is powerful, light and purposeful. Think I’ll keep it around!

My HW-95K been asking for an upgrade for a while now & I have been arguing with it as I’m not made of money and can’t just indulge it’s every want. Eventually it made it’s case &! I buckled.

Added a full Vortek Sub 12fpe kit with a new sporter stock. Will be documenting it’s performance as soon as possible.

Not much shooting lately as I was trying to stalk some coyotes so I only have this short clip of a rat getting smashed with a Hades 16gr pellet.

I think the footage is too graphic that Youtube might sensor it.

Looking for something comparable to rimfire performance, but it seems these higher powered airguns are larger caliber. Have an avenger in 22, but I doubt it would possible to hit even half that, with modifications.

Any recommendations? Appreciate any input.

I am deciding a new gun for next year and I have narrowed down the brand of airgun to FX and AGT. I know that AGT is more of a point and shoot gun. While FX is a tuning gun. The specific models I am looking at is the FX Panthera, AGT Vulcan 3, and the Uragan 2. Between these three what one would be better. This is a short to mid range hunting rifle. 0-100 yards range. .22 caliber. Biggest game that will be taken is groundhogs or rock chucks. Weight ten pounds or less. Also want to be able to shoot pellets and slugs with minimal changes.

It was maybe last year, but I recall there was a US-made PCP that was full auto iirc and getting ready to launch, what was it, and did it not get sold?
