PCP Rifle  SOLD LH EVOL Paradigm .22 Walnut Thumbhole (AS NEW!!!)

I hate to even think about selling this one but I will list it and see if any of you lefty's have an interest.

LH Air Arms EVOL Paradigm .22 rifle. Purchased new for AOA 2-3 months ago. It is a piece of art as far as I'm concerned and it shoots amazing. I have it shooting 18.1 gr at like 850 FPS for an insane number of shots per fill, approximately 90. I think this is the 2nd LH Paradigm that hit US soil.

This gun is as MINT and MINT can be. It looks just like when I took it out of the box. I have the original box and papers. I don't have to sell it but my American Air Arms .22 mini is getting most of my shooting time.

I will take NEW PRICE of $1800.00 for it shipped to the lower 48. This doesn't include the scope or bipod. Feel free to PM me or text me at 405-664-4695 if you have any questions. It's an amazing air rifle. I have many transactions on this forum and not a single issue with any of them. Thanks.

FX Impact M3 Equivalent

Hello new here. I have been doing some research on a PCP gun. Based on my simple requirements:
  • Must be under the $1200 range.
  • Must be quite enough to plink in the backyard with neighbors about 50 -75 yards on either side not very noisy. Or be suppressor friendly.
  • Must have a clip magazine to house multiple shots. Do not want a single bolt action load.
  • Must be very accurate between 50-75 yds
  • Must be regulated
  • Must be tactical looking with stock adjustments and ability to use accessories like bi-pod and scope.
  • Must be able to swap barrels for diffrent ammo caliber types
  • Must have removeble canister for refill
I found the FX Impact meets most if not all of these requirements. Except for my budget. What alternatives should I look at that meet or exceed these requirements. Is there anything in my budget?

Marauder stock redesign and refinish

This project has been on the table since I got this Marauder Semi-auto. As with all Marauder's with steel tubes it is a shooter but had a front heavy feel to it and did not have a good balance. Also, as with all wood stocked gun's, it had generic 14" length of pull to the butt pad. One size does fit all folks comfortably. So after figuring out the max length I needed to handle the foregrip and shoulder the gun, I went to sawing off needless material. Six inches came off the front and 1-1/4" with pad came off the back for about a pound or more of weight savings.

Chemically stripping the factory paint and poly sealer finally came out of the wood and checkering after three attempts. Time should be taken here to ensure that there isn't any sealer in the checkering or elsewhere, as it will show up upon staining and the process repeated.

It's been some time since I have done any woodworking project involving sanding, staining, and sealing so I did a lot of research first. The one thing that I keep hearing from gun stock refinishers is to get the wood sanded to a perfect scratch free surface before applying any stains or sealers. The more time that is taken here will determine the outcomes. I thought I had got it right, but did have to go over a couple of areas that scratches showed up at.

I oil-based stained it with walnut mixed with a little golden oak. Satisfied with the depth of color and contrast after multiple coats and a thurough drying, the sealer went on. There is a multitude of different types of finishes that can be used on stocks for a multitude of reasons. I finally chose Minwax polyurethane to seal the wood and keep hand and gun oils from soaking through. With poly finishes there is a coated plasticy/shiny look to it that I don't know if I like, only because the raw oil stained wood looked and felt really good.

What are your thoughts on PCP rifle Maintenance and upkeep long term?

As a newbie to PCP air rifles, it appears that PCP air guns are a bit more complicated to maintain in the long run due to finding the correct O-rings, etc., to replace old parts, especially if the model is no longer in production. Also, I'm sure to replace such parts on the PCP air guns; we would at least have to know what we are doing so as not to damage or break anything. To keep or to sell... ??? 🤔

Stoeger Bullshark .177 at 100 yards

I got out early this morning and tried 100 yards with the Bullshark shooting 10.3 Knockouts at 975 fps. I wasn't sure how well I would be able to see the bull at 100 so I went a little overboard drawing the first one. After I saw how well it did, I made a windage adjustment and tried another one. The first group is around 1.5 inches and the second is 1.25.

FX impact m3.power.block or Brocock commander XR?

Hello All,
Looking to buy my.first PCP. Looking something in .22 that is compact but still carries a punch. Was between the Brocock commander xr with the folding stock which I believe in .22 makes about 28-30 foot pound energy and can be had for around $1500 or the FX impact m3 power block which I believe in .22 can make 60 foot pound energy and can be had for around $2000. Above power I am putting long term reliability and problem free use and obviously accuracy. Any advice? The gun would be used for hunting mostly (,iguana, pigeons etc).

Tools of the trade? [Newb Question]

Hello AGN,

As I’ve begun to get more and more invested in the engineering and repair of PCPs I’ve run into a problem multiple times. I needed tools or hardware I didn’t already own. (The only thing I already had was a rechargeable power drill and bit kit).

First time it was a torque screwdriver…
Next it was metric hex keys…
Shortly after a Tipton gun vise…
Followed by silicon oil, silicon grease, and graphite powder…
Then it was a Dewey rod with attachments and jb compound…
Then a borescope…
Now it’s a bottle degasser…

So my question is-

In relation to maintaining, repairing and cleaning. What are the items you keep on your bench or in your toolbox? Looking to get ahead of the potential requirements! As always, thank you in advance!

SOLD Hard to Find Falcon FN8 Pistol with Extras *Reduced

Up for sale is a Falcon FN8 pistol in .22 caliber. Comes with two mags, original mag loading tool (not needed, but cool), Falcon quick fill mod (a unicorn) and fill probe. Also included is a Falcon LW8 carbine stock. Also included and another hard to find item is a B-Square 3-9x40 AO compact scope. The pistol shows normal wear and the stock has one decent ding. Shooting at 12fpe and has held air for years.

The bad... The original Falcon safety button is missing It's not used with the carbine stock and I lost it. One could be easily made by a machinist. I had this gun configured as a carbine for years and I simply lost it. If I ever find it, it will go to the buyer.

I will need $650 $600 shipped for this one. No trades. PP or MO

Added a shooting bench to the yard

A buddy already had the top just laying out in his yard and said if I can get it in the truck I could have it.

About $20 in cinder blocks, a couple tubes of construction adhesive and the help of a neighbor to place the top.

The funny thing is the wife didn’t even blink when I told her what I was doing.

Will at some point paint/seal it. And recommendations on a paint/sealer that will withstand the direct Southern California sun? It destroys everything out here in the desert.

Crown vs maverick vs ?

Hello all,

I have been a powder burner for years but recently got Introduced to pcp guns. I bought a hatsan flash qe .25 and it was a fun starter pcp but lacked build quality and accuracy. It’s now time to get something a little nicer and really jump head first into this pcp thing. The two guns that keep catching my eye are the fx crown and maverick. Both have amazing reviews but ultimately seem to serve a different purpose. My goal is pest and vermin control along with muscle memory practice for powder session. What are you experiences and stories about these two rifles along with perfected calibers. Also, is there any other guns in that price point you might recommend and what compressors do you prefer using. I currently use a hand pump but that has to change asap lol!

I appreciate all the help and look forward to getting more involved in this community!

Compressor

So I want to get 2 things. One that has to do with airguns and what that doesnt and im not new new but im semi new to both worlds haha. I want to be able to use a Nail gun to make stuff (im having a lot of fun learnign about carpentry lately since I found out im dislexic and not just mentally challenged when it comes to building things.) SOOO now that I know how to compensate or im learning tinkering has become sooooo much easier in all aspects of my life. ANYWAY I wasn't sure if I get a tank or compressor hook up for a nail gun can it work to fill Airgun bottles. I do have a Scuba HPA (can't remember the term someone gave me a link on here for a bigger refil bottle) type tank just curious what I cna use to refill that and if I can use this compressor for both applicatons or if anyone has suggestions. IF THEY ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT TYPE SET UPS please only laugh at me a little bit hahahaha.
