Ok how do you take your shooting items to the ranges????

Not talking about the rifles just the compressors, pellets, extra tools, scope mounts ect.... getting some ideas on how to bring all my shooting needs to the range. Right now using stackable tool boxes I got from Lowes. I have a small hatchback which works great to haul all my stuff to the range. Just wondering how people transport there extra items to the range. Thanks...

PCP Rifle  SOLD Sidewinder .22 - reduced to $1500 - SPF

Hello!

UPDATE:
I have had two family members pass away and need money for funeral costs.

Up for sale is a Sidewinder .22 for $1700 $1500.
This comes with 2 magazines and includes a fill port cover, and all paperwork.

There are a couple dings on the end cap, from a fight that I won on getting the cap off. They are not covered or touched up, close ups are provided. Please let me know if you want to see more pics - everything else is like new. It's likely you want to get the LDC adapter from AoA and put a Donny FL or something on there, because the stock moderator is not that great.

Regulator is set to the factory 140bar, and is shooting JSB Redesigned Monster at half inch at 50 yards. I did send it back to AoA once for a reseal - I think I turned the regulator screw the wrong way once (the manual is not clear on which orientation the clockwise reference is from). AoA resealed it, and its been flawless since then - I haven't adjusted it at all since it came back. All paperwork is provided.

I can optionally include the QQE bipod that is decent but not great for an additional $30.

This will ship in the original padded case and a box, as it shipped from AoA.

I am asking $1700 (+$30 for bipod if desired) plus shipping to CONUS. Outside of CONUS, we can talk shipping options.
Prefer paypal, but I am willing to work with a check, money order, venmo, or other common payment options.

Helix for Beeman R1

Hi everyone,
I'm new to Airgun Nation and really like the site a lot. I'd like to replace my scope on my Beeman R1. Springers are tough on most scopes. Has anyone tried any of the Element Helix ( Element Helix 2-16x50 HDLR / HELIX 6-24×50 SFP ) or the Bushnell Engage ( Engage 6-24X50 )? Both my seem a little over kill but I've had my R1 since 1980 and I think it needs a nice modern scope. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Jake.

A Taipan short review with standards

I just had to see what the fuss was all about , so I placed an order from Utah Air for a Veteran Standard. It didn't take long to show up , packed well, even had fragile stickers on the box. I ran a few patches down the barrel and off to gather some data. It was shooting 18g pellets at 920 and giving me standard deviation as low as 1.8 fps and in the 2s. The Maverick was my first regulated pcp and I've never had such low numbers. And the Vets accuracy is simply outstanding. So for investment purposes I was excited to try out compact and couldn't pass up the sale price. So I've had a chance to try out the Shorty .177 for a couple days. It showed up shooting 10.9g FX pellets right around 900 fps, Tony's shot string, and my crossman 10.4 gr around 880 fps. The weight or lack of is nice and accuracy is just like larger vet Standard . Really good. I'm really satisfied with the Vets and having fun , just taking my time with the single shot tray. So now I have 2 sets of Orings , probes ect that they came with and 2 nice magazines in .177 and .22. Anyways, I checked the tune and it was adjusted a little beyond the knee , so backed it off 1/2 turn and my shot count went way up and it sounded better and lost only a little velocity. I was a little worried from reading of Veteran shorts in .177 having large SDs because of ports being too large and possibly over powered for normal weight 177 pellets. But mine is doing great in that area. Absolutely having fun and ready for some pests to get out of line. My cat is out doing so far this year. With scope and rings it under 8lbs. A couple of shot strings shooting just under 18 fpe. Peace.

New Toy - Huntsman Revere

When the shipping update emails say that the gun, moderator, rings, and scope have all happened to arrive on the same day...that means it's time to leave work early.

Been wanting one for awhile. Daystate Hunstman Revere in .22 with Element Helix 4-16x44 FFP

I had asked my closest Daystate dealer in the next state over to let me know when he got one in that had a particularly nice stock. Got the call a few days ago. He sent pics and I sent money.

Got the scope on and leveled (Element does not make this easy with their not-so-flat turret caps), screwed on the mod, loaded the mag and away we went. Gave a rough zero and then cycled a few mags with just plinking on steel to lead the barrel a bit. Then ran a few hole-on-hole groups at 20 and 30, and one 6-shot ragged hole at 40yds with a slight breeze. Without any particular effort on my end. Pic below is the last group at 40.

Quite impressed to say the least. After dealing with FX guns for awhile (which I still love) it's very refreshing to just be able to take a gun and shoot it and have the pellets land exactly where they are supposed to land, without all the fussing around with tunes, and knobs, and wheels, and chronys, and having a set of hex keys sitting on the bench next to you at all times. I like this gun. Out of the box, 890fps with Hades, right at 28fpe which is my sweet spot for pesting, hole-on-hole, and I didn't have to do a damn thing to achieve that. It's a winner in my book.

Could this be a scam?

Here's the skinny. I have a classified ad posted wtb, Optisan CP 3-12×32. Got a text offering one for $200. Shipped. The member sent me a picture of said scope, requesting my shipping info to get it. Two requests for a phone call got me nothing other than him texting to agree to the call. Google Images brought up a picture of same. A request for a couple more pics went nowhere. Not sure about putting his username out for all to see. What do you think? Deal or no deal? Bill and Addi

FX Royale 400 leaking, giving me fits

I have a used 400 and it's leaking. I've had it apart several times and changed all the orings, and it just keeps on leaking.
So far I've put all new orings in it, even internal reg orings and it still leaks.
* it leaked down the barrel, so I replaced all the firing valve orings, and the seat oring
* it leaked out the reg vent, so I replaced all the oring internal and external on the reg
* it leaked at the gauge threads, so I replaced the seal under the gauge
* for good measure I replaced all the orings on the fill adapter

Now, I can't really tell where it's leaking, but it's leaking quite a bit.
How do you guys find leaks, I had to slather the whole action with leak detect solution so as to keep moisture out of the system, but I'm almost at my wits end.
Please give me an idea of how to find leaks with liquid solution. I've used it on the seams at the bottle etc, but don't want to douse the whole action with it, unless someone says it wont' hurt anything.
Ordering from FX is a problem too, if I don't get it right the first time, I have to wait nearly a month to get an order shipped again, whew! So, I just ordered everything I could possibly think of the last time and am still waiting on my order to arrive two weeks later.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My Daisy 880!

I've had so many of these over the years.
Finally able to afford putting a little $/stuff on/into it and what not.
Figured is start with what spare parts I had laying around.
I like this ALOT more now🤣
More weight up front*my preference on a multipump*
Can now go prone of need be.
Folded up bipod gives me more "shelf" up front for my big hands/for me more stability off-hand.
I can set the slinger down and not worry about it.
Even the lady was eyeballing it bc she shot it off of bags and liked it
..🥴👀🤷‍♂️🤪🎩🤙
So!
Uhhh....
Barrel clamp with picatinny for bipod
Barska 3-9×32 with 30/30 reticle
Usually slinging 10-13gr for hunting/pesting
Then 5.4-10gr for paper pinching.

Manufacturers , warranties and parts availability ???

Was hoping to get some info on the Manufacturers/Brands , the warranty and if you can easily get a replacement part from said party lol.

This is something that would make a huge difference in my decision to purchase anything beyond the 1000.00 price range since they are all on the rise in pricing as of the last couple of years. A few examples of what I am hoping for are as follows .

BroCock
Warranty = Is it transferable if you are not the original purchaser with proof of purchase . In other words you bought used or traded for it.
Parts availability = Can you easily purchase parts for it or do you have to send it in to have them repair it as not to void the warranty if you actually have one. Also can you change the barrel length shorter or longer.

Thank you for your responses and information . I feel there are alot of us out there that would appreciate/benefit from your shared experiences/knowledge.

My new .25 MK 3 is......

Shooting Absolutely Awesome...!!!!!!! I've had my new MK3 for about a month now and I have done a few tweaks to it, I just got a new Stud magazine for it and I was testing out the new mag this morning on my 100 yard range and this thing is shooting the JSB MK 2's Awesome.....I honestly believe the Stud magazine eliminates a lot of the fliers as I had no fliers this morning shooting. With this MK3 shooting as good as it is, I don't want to change anything on it, I'm thinking about buying a new Panthera to shoot slugs with and use the MK3 for pellets....LOL I know I said in another post that I wasn't going to post anymore pics of groups but this is the type of groups I'm getting at 100 yards with this MK3.....FX haters can hate...but, these rifles just flat azz shoot....:)

Waiting at the mailbox for my 2nd fx panthera

i Have a 25 cal 700 mm Fx Panthera that is the best shooter I have. It is a pleasure to shoot in the Nrl22 matches allowing a rookie like myself (only 6 cof matches) to score around 400. I have room to improve and I know this platform will do it. I am currently waiting for my 2nd Panthera but this one is in 22 cal with 700 mm liner which is supposed to arrive today. If anybody is on the fence about this platform , don’t be. If tuned right it will be the most accurate gun shooting Slugs then any other with unrivaled power straight out of box. i will keep y’all posted on the progress of the new one. Happy shooting to all

Cphp ..lol

Does anyone here not know what cphp means in the air gun world? Well the folks at crosman dont.., really..

So i wanted to send a inquiry so i go to contact and fill out my lifes history and get to them drop down box thingd .

So the product one thats a mile long but funny nothing for ammo or ammo products ( should of been my first clue).

So i check air rifle the closest thing to pellets i see and move on to my inquiry.

So i het the reply back that was in breif " we dont have any product called cphp'.

I guess its my bad for not spelling it all the way out , but come on man.. how dont you know in the business .

Maybe im wrong but just thought it funny .. then maybe dealing with a cubicle slave in India not a knowledgeable usa employee?

The simple pleasures associated with airguns

This morning dawned beautiful and cool in Indiana. At 6:30, the sun was just breaking through the trees, no wind, perfectly quiet except for the noise of the bulldozer preparing the site for the new casino being built about a mile to the southeast. The neighbors hadn't start stirring yet, and I needed to leave for work in about an hour, so to get my mind adjusted for the day and not disturb any one, I grabbed the Air Arms S510 .177 from the vault and proceeded to the bench.

This rifle was #3 for me and was acquired new from Straight Shooters more than two decades ago. First came a Beeman R1, then an Air Arms S410 in .22 (still in the vault and as dependable and accurate as the day it was acquired), then this rifle. A few years ago, I had Scott Schneider at Motorhead Airgun Tuning Services completely resealed it and installed a Huma regulator. Along the way I upgraded it to the new style magazine indexing post (vastly improved over the original) and replaced the proprietary AA fill adapter with a foster fitting. I used it so much that the soft poplar stock became on dinged up and rather than replace it, I sanding it down and painted it camo - giving it new life - ugly but very efficient.

With the Air Arms 10.3 gr pellet and no wind conditions, I proceed to shoot all of the spinners on the course from 20 yards to 86, with not a single miss. The Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56 FFP scope image was very crisp in the morning sun and the perfectly adjusted trigger broke like glass. With Donny FL Sumo moderator working perfectly, and the relatively low power of the .177 pellet hitting the heavy steel swinging plate and spinners out at 70 yards and beyond, all one could hear was the faint but clear "ding" of the the pellet hitting steel. But once I got inside of 50 yards, this rifle came into its own, spinning the spinners with authority.

I suspect that like many of you, this old rifle doesn't get exercised nearly enough with many much more powerful and glitzy rifles in the vault. However, it is as simple, accurate, and dependable as any rifle one could own. It has provided many hundreds of hours of shooting pleasure while eliminating about every form of pest available to a back yard over the years. One couldn't ask any more of a rifle than that.
