Has anyone re-barreled their Notos? I have one that isn’t as accurate as it should be. I’ve tried about 22 different pellets shooting 15 yds indoor best groups 5/8 or so. Always get 1-2 flyers in 5 shot group. I’m 98% sure it’s a bad barrel.
Umarex as well as PA say no parts available.
Will a pp750 barrel fit with minimal modifications? Is there any other options other than have a blank machined?

Is anyone printing standard length baffles that muffle or change shot noise better than the factory one?

I’ve read about folks running their PCP compressor off their car batteries. Has anyone done this successfully with their Tesla somehow? Perhaps connecting to the 12V lithium battery?

is a gorgeous Benjamin Akela bullpup .177 in Turkish walnut. Gun has had its' hammer spring trimmed, as discussed at length on the GTA forum; to extend its' shot count, and level its shot curve. Gun shoots 10.34gn at an average 890fps, for 83 shots from a 3000psi fill. No ldc needed with this Akela; as it's truly backyard quiet in it's stock configuration. There's also a couple Buck Rail add-ons: a scope rail support, and a tri-rail barrel band, that also gives you a picatinny rail up front for a bipod. I bought extra magazines when I bought the gun, because I knew when the hammer spring was done, I'd be shooting a lot. Comes with five 14 shot mags.

Has anyone seen changes in accuracy with the same ammo and same tune after a period of time? I'm thinking maybe the tune wasn't as good as I thought but not sure what's causing the accuracy to change from one day to the next.

I got an FX Crown MK2 Continuum a few weeks ago and test a few slugs. The best groups shot were tested a few slugs, the H&N Slug .218 23gr was best at the time. After tuning it to shoot at 862fps, I was getting consistent groups at 5mm; about 1/4" at 25 yds.

The issue started yesterday after I missed a few shots at some doves; I figured it was just me. Some NSA slugs I ordered came in the mail yesterday as well so I tested them out this morning and shot the H&N's to benchmark them. The groups with the H&N slugs had blown up to 20mm, more than 3/4" at 25yds and started to vertically string. Using the same tune, the NSA .217 20.2gr slugs came out on top, literally shooting a single ragged hole at 25 yds. We're talking less than 4mm at this point.

This is the set up and chrony numbers. FX Crown MK2 with 380mm barrel, standard liner and stock FX moderator. Tune is 155bar, transfer port high (.25/.30), internal hammer spring adjustment is 2mm of play, external hammer spring adjustment at 22.

H&N Slug HP .218 23gr. Avg 862 fps, ES 15, SD 4

Hi all
I bought a second hand bsa r10 super carbine 177.
For some reason the loading bolt keeps unseating itself when firing the gun but not all the time.
I've searched the ne t and some say the probe is to long and some say the bolt needs turning another 10 degrees.
Does anybody body have a definitive answer for what the gun does this.
Any help greatly appreciated

I'm curious, you have an energy limit to be legal in Britain right? Obviously, you cannot buy an "illegal" airgun at the store but airguns are so easy to modify for more power. How do the officials regulate you? Is there a cop waiting at the range with a chronograph? If your out shooting/hunting out in the country, who would know if your putting out more power? And if you are caught making more power, how do they fine you? Sliding scale based on the the output or one base fine? Would you loose the gun? Go to jail?

I'm not trying to be snide or in any way disrepectful, just curious as to how your system works.

I’m trying to do a search on the clear storage tubes like what the Hugget snipe moderators come in when ordered. It is a ratcheting style, meaning nubs within the tube help to keep the inner tube secure with the outer tube. Anyway, you snipe owners know what I’m describing.
I’m trying to find if these type of storage tubes come in assorted lengths and diameters for larger, longer moderators to help protect them.

Need assistance on what to call these tubes when doing a google search

Looks like the fill valve on the bottle failed. I've never had any issues with my bottle gun but should be interesting to see what they say about it.

I think I shot ny gun out of battery and caused some damage. Need advise from you experienced shooters on a fix and procedures to check what likely be wrong with my gun.

I was shooting my AA TX200 Mk3, 22 cal, getting it ready to shoot a BR match at my club tomorrow. I had put a new scope on it and needed to get a good 10 yard zero and rough 20-25 yard zero. I got it dialed in at 10 yards and moved back to shoot at 20 yards. I also wanted try other pellets.

I had been shooting a leftover tin of H&N 5.55” pellets for my “warm up” ( learning that trigger) session and initial zero, I shot up that tin and switched to a fresh tin of JSB pellets. I had noticed the JSBs seated way easier than the 5.55 diameter HN pellets. The JSB were 5.52” and had a longer skirt. I had shot a relatively tight group at 10 yards with the JSB and stayed with that pellet for my 20 yard zero session.

My first shot was range correct and at approximately same windage at the 10 yards line. I loaded another pellets and fired that shot. I was surprised by the sound of a loud report. I then noticed the cocking handle was in the down position (unlatched). I first thought “dieseling”. However I didn’t detect any odor but did see “smoke” coming out the breech when I got the breech opened.

Upon opening the action (cocking it) I saw a pellet squished in the area just under the barrel. I think the pellet either came out of the chamber when I failed to seated it fully and it fell out. I also failed to notice the breech was not closed correctly when I fired the shot.

After removing that jammed (Squished) pellet, I checked the bore and confirmed the bore was cleared. With now a cocked gun, I needed to “uncock it”. So I chambered a fresh pellet and fired it into the ground. The gun fired, so I fired two more to test function. Gun fired but I was noticing the cocking lever was not seating fully as it had previously. I then shot on my target and noticed accuracy was nowhere where it should be. Power didn't seem to same as before either.

The cocking handle was for sure no longer latching correctly and the gun not seeming to be seating into battery.

So I need some pointer on what to check. I haven’t taken the gun apart yet… so this may be a good time to seen the innerts of the gun. Also maybe buy that tune kit containing new springs, seals, and pistons.

RTI Prophet Performance 1 that I purchased from a fellow member here on AGN. He sold it to me with the LR .22 barrel in it - but I already had one of those - I wanted a .177 and already had the barrel. Readers digest - I initially tested the 13.43 jsb ko's in it and they shot surprisingly well. ( Really well! ) I went out and bought a "ton" of 'em . . . time passes - the S. African guy (Gerhard Slabbert) put out a video where he's slinging *20*g .177 slugs and in typical youtube fashion he's smoking sparrows at 200yds. " . . . I gotta try some of this heavier stuff in mine . . . " They, heavy H&N .177 slugs, weren't yet available in the States - so I go googling around and found Griffin Slugs. I had serious reservations about my gun's capability to push something that heavy (20g) out of the much shorter barrel than what the youtuber was using (700mm). I picked up batch of 16 and 18g's from Griffin and gave them a go. I tried the 16's first and they were horrible. I hesitantly went and loaded a magazine with the 18's not having any expectations and . . . . "whoa . . . seriously?!" In close at 30 yds they were GREAT!! I took 'em out to 50, and then 70. They didn't fly particularly fast - 900 - 910'ish. " . . . these things are friggin' awesome!" I bought a bunch of 'em. A year or two later I've finally run out of them, knowing that I've got a pile of the 13.4 ko's just sitting on a shelf and I remembered that they shot really well too.

↑ With that up there said - I'm now back to the 13.4 ko's. I remembered (kinda) that they ran "hot" - 960, 970 - maybe even 980's - couldn't remember exactly where they were happy but it was much faster then the heavier 18's that I'd just run out of. Cutting to the chase - yeah - "hot" - 994. They're cookin' - but they also seem to fly really well.

Preemptively - odd ranging. The range where I shoot at - what the guys call their 50 yd board is really 51. The one they call their 100 yd is really just shy of that @98. (In case anyone wondering about weird numbers below.) "Close 'nuff . . . " I'm usually just wanting to get minute of woodchuck, pigeon, etc . . . not going for rmac accuracy.

I zero'd at 30 and that is tight - the dime covers it easily (5x group)
51 is tight - dime covered 4 out of 5. Also 30 through 50 = zero. Flat. Nice.
70 is tight - like 50, the dime covered 4 out of 5
98 - see photo's below. Explanation here though, or if you wish to interpret - excuses. <grin>

#1 - I knew it it was going to drop from 70 to 98 - I guessed on the number of clicks to dial up - not enough. ( a r-l breeze was starting to kick in some too, and not consistent - on and off - irritating ) Looking at the impact and comparing where it hit vs my aim point - looked like it needed about 4 more clicks. I send #2. I scratch my head - ".. did I not even hit the paper??" I send #3 - this ones not quite on the line like #2 and I immediately see it - "Damn!! #'s 2 & 3 are dead nuts!! " I'm now "feeling" the breeze and holding ~just a little~ to the right - this breeze is getting stiffer. I send #4 - {sigh} It could very well have been me, the wind kicked in a little stronger - I don't know - but still - not bad for a little .177 at 98 yds. If I can get #5 in with the previous 3 - I'll be happy with this group and call it a day. I have no friggin' clue what happened with #5 - it went WAY high and wind did pull it left. {sigh} ". . . well that killed what could have been a good group . . . " I decided to "redeem" myself and send #6. Holding off to the right - breeze now becoming on and off again wind - there's a storm moving in - thunder has been rumbling in the background. I send it. The wind let up. "C'mon man - you gotta be kiddin me . . . I'm done." ( it hit basically where I was aiming )

Just wanted to post up on the Gunnar in .22 with my findings.

1st off a little history on why/how i ended up with this gun.
As some of you know i was looking for a "budget gun " for a big family get together. The purpose was to keep my high end guns safe and not have to worry about them getting dropped or abused .

I originally purchased a JTS Aircuda Max for this purpose, needless to say that was a Complete disaster. Brand new gun leaks, multiple leaks, terrible accuracy, i may as well have grabbed a handful of pellets and thrown them at the target and would have been more accurate, horrible shot count, anyway you get the point...Gun went back to dealer and i washed my hands of it.

This led me to the Gunnar .
To be honest i really was not expecting much, i watched a couple of vids on them but the price seemed a bit high to me.
So i searched a few sites and found a deal on one that included a free Benjamin Hand Pump, don't need one but i figured i could always sell it to offset some of the cost of the Gunnar.

Now to the fun part, Gun arrives packed in a VERY nice hard case, dual handles and wheels to boot, the case also has room for a scope on high mounts, sweet.
To the gun itself, i was pretty dang impressed with the feel of the gun, it does Not feel cheap, killer grip on it, more than acceptable adjustable butt stock.
Cocking is butter smooth
Trigger is not too bad, a little on the heavy side but Very predictable, nice trigger shoe as well.
The gun is More than backyard friendly without a moderator, it does come with the thread adapter if you need it Uber quiet.
Comes with 2 x 12 round mags
The gun does have a spring twang to it, the initial 300 rounds or so it was pronounced but as i have gotten through approx 1500 rounds now it has become a Lot less "twangy"

Now to what we all want to know will the damn thing shoot, well you be the judge....
I have done nothing to this gun but clean the barrel and shoot.
It came from the factory with Regulator set at 1800

Overall i personally think this is Great Entry Level Package

So,, after two days of tuning on this little chili pepper. I finally have a tune. The thing to know about taking an STX liner and shortening them is,,,,,they don’t particularly respond well. This thing, looking like I was throwing stinger missiles at a fighter jet. The amount of unstable twirling, tumbling, spiraling pellets that met their demise crashing into the ground, trees, fence, neighbors barn, and, there very well could be a few still flying, is laughable to say the least. Slugs though, boy howdy, 13gr KOs just do what they do. Trouble is, getting them to fly fast enough from a 290mm barrel is taxing on one’s mental state. But at 830fps on a 170bar reg it’s well within reason you could surprise a wary starling if nothing but by the sheer sound and shock wave of a small nuclear detonation. Or at least that’s what it sounds like when you squeeze off a pill the size of large sliver from this bombaster.

But I’m digressing, the point of this rifle build was to be able to shoot inside a large equipment barn. The owner of a permission I shoot on has an infestation of sparrows that could be eligible for the Guinness book of world records. You’d swear he’s packing them for shipment to Mary largo with all the sound of a Miley Cyrus concert before the crack. And so, he asked me, being the only one fool hardy enough to accept, to take on the job of crowd dispersal shall we say. Sounds simple enough. Step in, close the doors and blast away. However though, he seems to enjoy not having holes in his shed or windows in his $500k tractors. Seems the air conditioning works better when they are installed. So my solution,, barring poison, or a truck load of cats, was to build a rifle that is superbly accurate at say 20yds. Seems easy enough,,,,

So enter the FX Streamline. Wonderful little rifle I bought during a drunken eBay bender while the wife was visiting her mothers. I know, out of all the things one could spend money on, a synthetic used streamline was what I chose. Oh well, at least my retirement account is still intact and I don’t have an STD from a newly retired pole dancer. I suppose there’s a bright side. Mind you, the rifle shot just wonderfully in .25 cal and was as quiet as your first dates flatulence. But, I just hated the stock. I would say it fit like a cheap suite, but that would give credit where it belongs almost as much as a circus clown in the White House. It well,,,,,, it fits like a cheap suite. So, another dice role and six pack of Modelo and I have myself an eBay Menelli stock. The rest of the build came together with the ease of caressing a wild kitten. The Tatsu, well, easy enough. But the plenum, winning an arm wrestling contest with a 400lb gorilla would have been easier, and barrel amputation was a twist of the knickers. And it finally came together.

And finally to the tune. I apologize from the dibble and will get to it post haste. Suffice to say, finding a pellet, or rather anything to fly with any accuracy was a challenge. Finally, actually the second pellet I tried. The H&N Match Green finally found a use. Seems as though these guys like to fly slow. Mimicking a drive by shooting in downtown Compton, they slide by at a mere 730fps, delivering a staggering 6.1ftlbs of ferocious energy. A fly killer it is, at 20yds anything with wings should be terrified of the outcome. But is it mighty enough to take down a mob of unruly sparrows?

Of course.

Ok job done , room for more guns ...
