PCP Rifle  SOLD Prophet 1 compact

This is a great little rifle, it likes just about every pellet I’ve tried so far, and even a handful of slugs in the .218 diameter style. The barrel is a 510mm RBP, the shroud, pic rail, side panels and cocking knurles are all cerakoted. It has the extended plenum on it, please note, it does not have the adjustable hammer spring on it, right now at 80 bar I am shooting 15.9 hades @ 868 fps. Donny TATSU included, butthook, and bottle clamp.

I am asking $1000 shipped.
With the new leaf day/ night scope I would need $1400. The scope is 4 weeks old, and works as it should, I have purchased a thermal, hence the reason I am selling the rig.

Bipod not included.

A strange story

I was gonna save this for the Hurricane Ian one year Anniversary, Sept 28. But being the impatient person I am, here goes.

Hurricane Ian didn't do any major damage to my place, thank goodness. However, I lost power for a few days, and it did make off with my Lanai roof and screens. For you non-Floridians, a lanai is what we call a screen porch. It just sounds fancier, more Floridian I guess.

Well I'd been through this before, and was prepared with my Crossman 2240, to ward off the vermin that was sure to decide to make my home their own. Over the next week or so I popped a couple rats, chased off 3 coons and a possum. After a while, the critters seemed to thin out, but I kept the pistols at the ready

Getting a lanai or a pool cage repaired after a hurricane is like waiting for hell to freeze over. The businesses are slammed, the insurance claims are slow, and the materials are scarce. It was the next May before they arrived to repair my lanai. In that time I popped a few more rats and chased off a couple more raccoons.

Just before Easter, my wife called me at work, to say there was a large rat in the house. She added, rather sarcastically, 'or a small bunny'. When I got home I looked for rat signs, but came up with nothing. Since it was already in the house, I armed myself with a broom handle, and waited.

Sure enough, when things got quiet about 10PM, I heard rustling in the kitchen. They do find the kitchen quickly, don't they? Grasping my trusty broom handle, I slowly walked into the kitchen, only to see something scurry off. Waiting there patiently, I heard it making it's way back to where I had seen it, and then, it emerged from under the pantry... a baby swamp rabbit!

Well, to make a long story short, that rabbit is now a member of the household. It eats better than I do and gets more attention than I do. But the worst part is, I am now forbidden from hunting rabbits, dammit. I haven't been rabbit hunting in many years, but beeing told that I CAN'T? Huh, rubs me the wrong way.

JTS .22 pellets from my Evol Mini

Been hearing about these JTS pellets for awhile and being very consistent pellets in weight and size. I figured that I might try some as I've had issues with JSB consistency in the past. Got them in today and very impressed with them. Love the small screw top tins better than the large press fit tins of JSBs. Pellets look perfect unlike my recent tin of JSB 15.9 where half are bent quite badly. Here's the 3 I got, left to right. 18.1gr, 21.53gr and 22.07gr.

20230915_143221.jpg

So initial shooting and I'm impressed. These are groups at 43yds off a rest. All 5 shot groups here's the FX 16gr which are my go to pellets for my Evol and the JTS 18gr.

20230915_173623.jpg

These are the 21gr and 22gr from JTS. Both have an extra shot which is the top right pellet for an aim point. The 21gr has 6 shots as I wasn't sure if the one to the left was a flyer or me pulling it so did an extra.

20230915_173641.jpg

So my Evol does seem to like these pellets. The 18gr might be my new go tos.

Next part I through them over the chronograph. I have the original FX Radar. I did it attached to the airgun, and then down at 43yds, 3 shot avg at each position. Here's my results:

FX 16gr - 895fps - 760fps
JTS 18gr - 850fps - 748fps
JTS 21gr - 772fps - 665fps
JTS 22gr - 770fps - 670fps

Based upon these numbers I have BC numbers on my gun with these speeds. YMMV. BTW conditions today were 85*F, 30" barometric, 40% humidity. And 782ft elevation.

FX 16gr - .037 which confirms what I've been using on Strelok for a year with no problems.

JTS 18gr - .045 these ones really surprised me

JTS 21gr - 0.35

JTS 22gr - 0.38

I'm at a loss on the heavier ones? I'll need to verify shooting at distance to see how accurate those numbers are. But I'm happy with how they all shoot! Hoping to try longer range tomorrow for groups.

Taipan  Taipan Veteran II Tactical aka Ugly Fat Pig

After the recent thread where some of you opined that the new Veteran II Tactical was a 14 pound ugly pig, my ‘ugly porker‘ showed up today, a 700 mm version in .25. Tony at Talon must be channeling Kafka since he performed a metamorphosis to transform the bloated fat ugly pig I was supposed to get into a (IMHO) sleek, no nonsense long range tactical shooter. I didn’t weigh it but comparing it to the (too many) other similar air rifles in my stable it feels like the 8 to 9 pounds the Talon website lists and not anywhere close to 14 lbs. And as to be expected from Taipan, the fit and finish is outstanding.

It’s raining here in SE Cheeseland today so all I had the chance to do to it so far is mount the scope, check the mechanical function (seems smooth) and load the magazines. Per the local weather folks (who are usually wrong) it’s supposed to clear mid day tomorrow so the first outing will have to wait. I’ll follow up asap. David

PCP Rifle  SOLD .25 P15/skyhawk/p35/Bullshark project kit

Please read and understand the details before showing interest or asking questions. I

do not want anyone to be disappointed so I am trying to be as clear as possible in the ad.

Selling as a kit, not interested in separating so please do not message unless you want everything pictured. I will not respond to requests to price/sell anything less than the entire package.

If you are not equipped to assemble/disassemble, if you are not familiar with this platform already, I do not recommend this package.

If you are familiar with SPA/Artemis airguns and interested in buying a well equipped project kit, this is may be a good opportunity.

This was a project gun for many years. I learned a lot with this one and it basically has every little trick applied to it.

Being used as an amateur's development platform means the gun is no beauty queen. It is a project. However it holds air forever and is a fairly accurate 50 yard gun as-is. There are many threads over on GTA documenting my journey and learnings with this gun.

Thus I am pricing accordingly: $275 shipped Lower 48 Paypal f&f or buyer pays fees

Many of these components are used on the Diana Skyhawk, P35, and Stoeger Bullshark. However I cannot be responsible for insuring fitment to the P35 and Stoeger Bullshark as personally I have never handled one of those guns. I am confident the valve/tube/hammer parts interchange with those models but I am unsure of the rest.

I will try to provide current specs in an organized manner....

Gun is currently in a p10/p12 stock.

Currently has P10/p12 trigger/safety assembly. i prefer this over the P15 safety in the trigger. I believe all of the parts to convert back to P15 trigger are included.

Was originally a .22. I converted it to .25 using a Marauder barrel and OEM SPA p15 bolt assembly. You should consider the breech/barrel as made for each other and will not fit anything else. hence I am including a spare OEM breech and barrel machined to OEM specs.

Has the South African extended external plenum as well as a Lane regulator and internal extended plenum. IIRC this yields around 50cc of total plenum.

Valve has 2mm stemmed peek poppet. Valve opens very easily and gun can be tuned up well over 60fpe by raising reg pressure. Currently reg is around 110bar and tune is around 890-900fps with 25.39gr JSB Kings. Requires very little hammer strike, very easy cocking.

Hammer has peek striker

1/2-20 threaded adapter.

Trigger sear components polished.

Including all of my spares seen pictured. Look close, if you see it in the pic, it will ship as part of the package. if you do not see it, I do not have it...

A few spares to callout:

7 CARM magazines, these are awesome in the P15 2 carm mag holders that clip to a picatinny rail
spare factory breech
spare barrel---.25 choked LW polygon rifling barrel machined by another member. has a slight taper to it, Measures 13mm at rear barrel band, 12.6mm at the front barrel band. OEM clamps will tighten down, but I recommend a thin shim/bushing on the front clamp. Very accurate barrel pellet barrel. 17.75" muzzle to breech end. Never shot slugs.
Spare OEM shroud/internals
spare OEM regulator
gutted/modified OEM regulator I used for unregulated testing.
spare trigger sear components included.

PCP Rifle  SOLD BSA Ultra SE 22*PENDING*

Thinking of selling my MINT ultra 22.

Comes with 2 mag, fill probe, and a custom moderator.

Has a slightly ported transfer sleeve, and the valve restrictor has been cut down a bit. Gun was only shooting 10.5 fpe stock, so I ported and now it gets around 13 fpe. If you remove the restrictor, it'll do almost 20 fpe.

Don't want to sell it, but it's sitting in the safe because I'm afraid to damage it. Beautiful rifle, and deadly accurate.

Scope NOT included

Air Tanks  SOLD 100 CI tank with Saber Tactical Valve.

Selling this as new tank. Purchased the tank this spring new and topped it with the Saber Tactical valve. I find that I don't need a smaller tank, as I do all my shooting at my home range. This is a great size for backpack use and extended hunting / shooting sessions. I have $350 invested in this and am selling for $315 shipped to con US. No hose is included, it requires a micro bore hose with female foster fittings on each end. A great source for portable air and ready to go. Not interested in trades or offers at this time. Please deal by pm. Thanks for looking.

Brocock/BRK  BRK Ghost essential accessories

Hello everyone,

I tried searching and reading some of the long threads here and couldn't find concise answers.

I got to handle a BRK ghost at baker airguns thursday. Unfortunately, it was a used carbine not the HP. I had to order one from AoA. I did notice and disliked how the charging handle blocked the safety a bit. I'll be shooting HFT and plinking with it. I'll be comparing it to the Daystate Huntsman Revere safari R in 177 that I ordered at the same time and see which I like better for HFT.

While I know accessories are a personal thing and vary per intended use. What are some accessories that people find essential or that they like alot? What are ones that you found to be a waste?

Does anyone have the PRS buttplate with the monopod. Is it better with or without it?

So far I have the following:

BRK 177 and 25 caliber barrels
PRS single shot loader 177 caliber
PRS Biathlon cocking lever
PRS extended rail
PRS buttplate without monopod
PRS bag rider
PRS Adjustable cheek riser
Form riflestock hand grip
ODB 160s moderator

I'll be mounting an Athlon Argos FFP scope and mounting a parallax wheel to it. I'll also likely add a quality bipod.

Is there anything else that I should add?

Thanks

HW/Weihrauch  Got my hw97 today.

So after posting a few days ago about getting my first good springer, I decided to order the hw97 from Krale. A few days later it showed up in south Louisiana. I slapped a scope on it and this was the first 5 pellets through the gun straight out of the box, at 20 yards. I had not even sighted it in yet, it was close enough that I decided to shoot a group, needless to say I’m excited. This things a shooter for sure.

N/A  Airguns of arizona sale going on

Hey everyone,

Not sure if youve seen, but AoA has a big sale going on atm on many daystate and BRK rifles and some others. I got a huntsman revere safari for $300 off. There are many sales worth checking out. If I had the room on the credit card i would have gotten one or two more rifles.

Diana  D75 25m peep sights

I'm looking to set up a gun for 25m indoor bench this winter and decided to see how the 75 would do. I shot 2 targets, 10 shots each (JSB 7.33gr), for groups and was pretty suprised by the results. I'm definitely thinking this is my girl for indoor if this is how well she can door outdoors. It always amazes me how much more precise peeps are over standard irons. I think I will likely scope the gun for the matches but who know. Sometimes its just fun making things a bit more difficult.

Group 2: 0.53" / 1.87"

The wind picked up a bit for this group. I tried timing my shots when my flag wasn't moving but the group still opened a hair. I can't complain though. The gun did its job.

.30cal Silencer ("Moderator") — 3D-printed — 90FPE

.30cal Silencer* — 3D-printed — for 90FPE?

❓ What do you suggest?
What would you have to offer?

*Yeah, the S word... — because when I think of "moderators" I think of the guys on the forums that keep us in line.... 😆

So, I'd like to quiet down an RTI Prophet 2 Compact Performance — in .30cal — shooting 45 grainers with around 80-90FPE.

🔶 SOUND PARAMETER:
▪ I don't need it mouse-fart quiet.
▪ I don't need extreme silence for the nosey neighbors in the backyard.
➠ But I would like it significantly quieter and preferrably making a noise that is less sounding like a "gun shot."

🔶 ADDITIONAL PARAMETERS:

Length: This is of high importance to me. So ideal would be 4", and at 5" I'd be still ok.

Diameter: This is of low importance to me. So ideal would be 1.5" diameter, but if 2.0" gives a much better performance, I'll go with 2", no prob.

Weight: This is of medium importance to me. Weight up front changes the balance of the gun, and I really do not want any POI changes on the Prophet. So ideal would be 5 to 7oz. [edit: add-on:] The Ronin is 10oz, so that would be the maximum acceptable.

Outside looks: need to look "beautiful." I'll be glad to elaborate.... 😊

Stability: It should be able to withstand 100FPE. Light knocks against car doors and trees that happen during transport or stalking should not change POI or worse, move the silencer out of its alignment with the barrel.

Thread: 1/2" UNF

Time Frame: Delivered by October 1 to Orlando, FL.

Pay: PayPal F&F.

➠ Maybe a joint effort could be made — by a designer and a printer/tester? 😊

Matthias

Other  So I bought a Baikal...

IZH-53
Thought I needed some Russian representation in my collection, plus, you know, with all the sanctions who knows how long we'll be able to get these.

So, the thing shoots to the moon, REALLY high. Un-adjustably high, sight-wise. So, I removed the rear sight and installed a red dot. MUCH better but- the thing will not group for a crap at 10 yards. I have tried all kind of pellets. Cleaned the barrel profusely and even took a good close look at the crown, seems ok. It has a really crappy trigger, but we're talking bench work here, so I can overcome most of that.

What the heck! Have any of you guys tried and overcome these things? It's about to become a safe queen!

Paypal

Mods please remove if I am violating any rules. With that said:

I use PayPal for convenience in making retail purchases, I will not do family and friends, and I have no bank account linked to my PP account, only a CC. With that said has anyone had these problems using PP as I do? I struggle with using it to buy things like stocks or pistol grips because of their "rules" but wonder if that is really a problem. Been using it for many years and I have not had a bad experience.

This has probably been beaten to death already.
