Who makes an aftermarket magazine for the Avenge X., in 25 Cal. ? Having trouble with factory mags getting stuck in the action. I've seen them for other Air Guns but never ask.

HW30 .177 with Maccari lubes.In Beeman R7 stock with Suhl 150 peep sight. Solid accurate shooter.The gun is not abused but the stock has some small scratches a ding pictured from actually using the rifle! It it not abused st all,just used so please don't buy if you want a like new gun.
There is a scratch on tube behind rear sight I hadn't noticed.

I added a steel plate on a hinge to protect the face so that I could confidently get some readings down range. Fortunately it never got tested.

Up for sale is my Benjamin Marauder Field & Target with Lothar Walther Barrel. I bought this rifle several years back from Pyramyd Air to shoot iguanas. It has definitely served its purpose, but I usually shoot with lower power .177s to be more neighborhood friendly.

This Marauder is in nearly perfect condition. The rifle is stock, except for two alterations:

• The “lawyer spring” has been removed from the trigger. It now has about 1/8” of travel at about 7oz of first stage, then breaks at about 12oz total. Put another way, 7oz first stage and 5 oz second stage.
• The original wood screw that secures the rear of the trigger guard has been replaced with a machine screw threaded into a t-nut. The original installation is a very poor design.

Rifle and one magazine will be well packaged including original box.

I took delivery of my latest “budget” gun yesterday 7/25/25. The Stoeger Scout .25 arrived in two days from @Airgun-Revisions along with the AR optional CF shroud which adds a touch of class to the rifle(worth the added cost).

For the time being I’ve mounted a UTG 3-12x44 compact scope. The short tube length of the optic doesn’t quite lend itself to a proper eye relief, but I can make do until I get the Helos Gen2 2-12 on it. But that’s for later.



The rifle has a synthetic stock that is nicely wide enough in the fore-end to rest well in the palm. Coming with two pistol grip inserts (one installed) you have the choice of a little thicker or a little thinner, shooters choice. However, not in the palm swell, rather the finger wrap area. The palm swell is quite nice and fits my hand well. The adjustable cheek-weld is easily adjusted and seems to work well. It’s solid and in my initial testing I noticed zero movement. It’s really nice when simple designs work so well.




Moving to the trigger. It is what it is. Non adjustable. I don’t have a trigger scale so I don’t know what it breaks at. It’s a good hunting trigger I’ll say that. It’s pretty much a single stage with a relatively lengthy pull before breaking. Not overly heavy but no where near too light to be dangerous in the field. It has a bit of a grit feel to it. In a hunting scenario, I doubt I’ll even notice it. The side push safety works well. It’s quiet and smooth going from safe to fire. Fire to safe I find it a little “notchy” I guess.


Onto the side lever. She’s got a stout hammer spring with the feel of the cocking. Be sure to have a positive grip on that side lever, as it has a floating barrel handle. It can spin off of your finger tips, cause it to load a pellet before it’s cocked. Just remove the magazine and take the shot. Don’t recock it, as it will double feed. Ask me how I know. I didn’t not double feed it, I did fire the shot and there was infact a loaded pellet.

As for the magazines.
They’re nicely made of mostly metal. They load very easily and also have that tab that lets you know you’re out. It’s the typical preload the spring, load one from skirt side then continue on as many of us are used to. They are very smooth pieces. The pellets fit very nicely. They’re magnetic as well. As is the handy single shot tray that comes with the gun.

As for the chrony,
I cleaned the barrel before shooting. DO NOT, not clean the barrel, it was heavily protected for shipping. I’d rather a greasy barrel than a rusty one. I believe once the regulator is exercised a little bit, she’s going to get even better. 18 shots out of the box and she recorded what I think is a very usable back yard and farm usable pesting consistency. The second magazine actually had a much tighter spread than the first, but I didn’t separate them. So this is the first recorded string. Still, very respectable for just a hair over $300.00 (I got this one on Rich’s close out pricing so it was under $300 ).

With an initial 25 yard zero it’s looking to be a sub MOA shooter. Get ‘er broken in and I’ll see what I can do with it. I like this gun, I like it a lot. The hammer spring is adjustable, so I’ve little doubt the chrony numbers can get even better. I know for a fact I can make em worse, I’ve proven that to myself in the past . I have a fat ol woodchuck out back I’m waiting to show itself again then it’s game on.

I have an FX Dynamic in .25 cal with a 700mm barrel. I fired it without a moderator and didn't notice any reduction in sound, which led me to 2nd guess if I really need one on this setup. Anyone else fire without one?

New RTI Mora Sniper .25 arrived yesterday. Photos don’t do it justice. I need to get a fill tank and then the fun begins! What a solid feeling rifle.

For me it was an absolute fluke. One of those times when I had money and no particular gun in mind. After seeing a couple possibilities in used guns on UAs site, I called, after the great guy who I talked to realized I was open for suggestions, he said, " how about something different, an Airmaks Katran in 177"?

I had never heard the name Airmaks, and knew less than nothing about their guns. He explained the gun was taken from new stock, used at a match to show off its brand and was being sold at a hefty discount. So, I said "sure, why not".

That rifle may well be the best shooting 177 I ever had. It was the long version with the tube and it was simply amazing. I had it a long time and finally sold or traded it as I wanted a lighter, smaller rifle. The fellow who got it started shooting slugs out of it and was amazed how well it shot slugs.

Today Airmaks rifles are known performers, but when I bought mine I had no idea of what a great gun they were and are.

Which pcp has the most at say 10-12 fpe using .177 JSB 10.3's? Might also consider getting a 700cc bottle to accommodate.

Preferences;
Not heavy but doesn't need to be super light weight.
Must have a real barrel, no liners.
Decent quality.
Repeater using High cap magazines.
Left side cocking would be nice.
Non electronic.

Why??, for plinking on my property as 90% of it's duty.
Currently have a 5.5 fpe Steyr LGB1 that I tend to use as far out as 75y but it's of course petered out by then even though I can still hit my steel out that far. Ha it only dents tin cans at 75y.

Just want to sit in my easy chair up on the hill at my barn with a bunch of loaded mags and shoot until I'm done without refilling.

I've seen mentioned a few times about airguns and ammo testing/review videos on YouTube, and wanted to add my $0.02.

I do tend to watch a lot of them, especially if they involve Benjamin/Sheridan airguns or pellets that I have an interest in using, or just plain old pesting videos.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of them are 5 or more years old (with many of them 10- 14 years old), or from the UK.

Also, many of them don't really "deep dive" into the aspects of the testing I'm looking for in particular, or use testing media/procedures that - IMO, are a bit far fetched (think metal & thick wood for critter simulation).

All that being said, almost all of the videos have at least ONE nugget of information I find helpful, useful or at least give me a new perspective to explore.

Curious about what everyone thinks.

I bought the hand pump which is the most obnoxious thing in the world to fill this rifle with. My brother uses a scuba tank. Is there something semi affordable and convenient in between these two options

I dug a hole in back yard to bury a pet and was down deep enough 3feet and was into clay. No not hard work I have a lil tractor with a loader. So a little Google work and I made some wild clay. It was made into a slurry then strained through window screen material. Slurry left to settle out some water. Poured slurry into cloth over a 5gallon pail then tied into a ball of muck. A few days later poof have clay. As a shooting media it's kind of fun. I made this clay to test slugs made from Corbin setup....that I haven't gotten yet. But couldn't resist a few shots with 59gr zan at 960fps. Started with 5X5X8 blocks will need to make prolly 10x10x15 for actual testing. Here are a few teaser clips for fun
