Moving to PCP soon for everything from pest control, to hunting small game, to ringing steel on the range at .25 or .30

Question to all you out there with much more experience and sense than I do:

Why would anyone purchase an Airforce Talon or Condor over something Like JTS Airacuda max?

I get that if you have Taipan Veteran budget it wouldn't matter, and in a perfect world I would have every airgun ever made and don't have to choose or ask a question like this.

But just out of curiosity, why would anyone get an Airforce air rifle, over other air rifles if you only can have one? (I'm asking because I'm that kind of guy, I don't like to have one of everything, I would just like to have one)

I think something like the Airacuda max is beautiful to look at, not single loaded, and deadly accurate (doen't have walther lothar but it seems to stack pellets regardless)

So why would I pay double or triple for an Airforce Condor for example?

I just saw a coyote or maybe 2 of them eating a small dead rat I left outside. The coyote appear multiple time during the early raining morning.

5:06:00 walks by camera but doesn't eat the rat.
5:07:42 comes back and eats the rat.
6:04:40 comes back again.
6:05:40 triggers the camera again but the camera is slow so it almost out of view.

Is it only 1 coyote or 2? Should I eliminate it? It is a little big to easily put into the trash can. A disposal problem? Any guess on size, I'm guessing 30lbs+. I have a lot of rats in the yard is it better to have this coyote around to keep the rats somewhat in check? Do they hunt live rats? I don't have any pets or little kids to worry about.

If termination is in order I have a 0.25 34g JSB 890 fps at the muzzle and the shot would be at 25 yards. From reading about max's stories they are much easier to spook than raccoons. I have to open a door to get off the shot, it may hear that and run off.

I bought a bunch of older FX stocks a few months back .Some just killer Walnut and others are dysthymic. Well looking at the tonight and I found a couple that were wood just sprayed black. Little sandpaper and I found this on one. Going to spray them with citrus stripper.

The ranges are from 25 to 66 yards, old man standing, Atomic in the yoke of a over 50 year old tripod. When going after pests I shoot from a much more solid, typically seated, position. Sending CPHPs at 725 fps for 17 fpe at the muzzle… As you can see even the misses would be “kills” on chippers, rats, sparrows, starlings, etc. She is a wickedly capable, rugged little PCP. A picture of the tripod… I’m just an average backyard shooter, so you can see that many others coukd probably shoot it more accurately.

I am looking to find a REAR adjustable mono-pod that can be mounted on an Feinwerkbau 300 SU. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to find them and what type, brand or model to use?

Newbie here, just acquired my first 'real' airgun, an AirForce Texan SS .457! Suddenly I find myself freshly addicted to this this new genre of shooting!

Picked it up from a pawn shop, it was going a little stale there and they were having a sale... sooooo.... it came home with me! She's a 2021 ym, 3k PSI Al tank model with a Hawke Airmax 30WA SFP 4-16 scope. I still need to acquire a filling setup, but was able to get two rounds to confirm function was good, punched within 1/2" @50yds with an awkward rest, handheld, half knelling and half squatting - I'd say it has high hopes of being very much a tack-driver!

My previous airgun is a Benjamin Regal NP break-barrel .22. It has been nice, but rather pedestrian in the wow-factor department. I am already learning that there is much to be done in tuning for both of these pellet-pushers, will be watching for a 4500 tank/valve for the Texan, and just now trying to learn what can be done for the Benny.

I feel both guns could use some trigger work, but I would really like to get more info on the internals and how to best improve the basics. First need is good data! Is there an armorer's manual or other servicing manual for the Texan? Called AirForce - they were AWESOME with their support, but limited in that no paperwork other than owner's manuals are available, and that is just too superficial for what I need to do.

Looking forward to getting my head filled - not with HP air.... jus' sayin'!

Recently I had knee surgery, and was faced with at least 3 weeks of downtime. I managed to get down to the shop and looked around for
something to occupy my time….and there it was…that old piece of walnut on the back of the bench. So I decided that stock I’ve been thinking about should come to fruition.….beware…I might have gotten carried away with the pictures…I made a quick sketch with major dimensions…and started inletting the action…hogged out some material under the air tube from this heavy piece of wood…It fits…back to the bench to pickup pertinent points…roughed out trigger area, butt stock, and cheek piece….sawed the tapers on the table saw….having already milled away my reference surface, I hotmelt glued on a temporary one…sawed off the hamster…then the fore end….I really miss my bandsaw..there’s the pieces…also dug thru my scrap aluminum for stock for the hardware..first thing was a trigger guard….

After milling and finishing…


Inlet the trigger guard, and milled the height adjustment hardware ….also a couple of dowel centers for locating the cheekpiece..
Roughing out the thumb hole area….after a little refinement…starting to work the left side…after some refinement…details pretty much right side pretty much finalized…roughing in the cheek piece…

Planeing in the radius on fore end..

Rifle shoots 2 magazines of 15.89 hades at 660ish fps very consistently on a full fill. Rifle is not regulated but acts like it. Can put a hole mag in a dime at 30 yards.

I don't have the fire in me for airguns anymore. Took this rifle out to shoot and shot it off hand , 3 shots, 3 avocados down, it's a blast but I'm just not having the fun I used to shooting. So I am completely getting out of airguns. 100% , done. Going to focus on traveling.

This rifle is in amazing shape, I don't even believe there is an aesthetic blemish ok it.

It shoots 155 gr accurate hollow points off a 3050 psi fill at 940, 925, 905 fps for the first three shots, can shoot 6 shots or one full mag on a fill but I just shoot 3 and top off, with a 3050 psi fill , it doesn't take much to top off.

I can stack 3 of these 155s at 100 on top of eachother on 10 mag.

I will sell it with the Athlon 2-12 helos btr mounted and zerod perfectly at 50 yards or will sell the rifle separately.

As you know you cannot buy the slayer anymore and not many people give them up.

Setup to shoot price is $2750 firm with 2 mags, a barrel tool, and scope setup.

Without scope the price is $2400 firm. Zero negotiating.
