Karma Airguns - Red Pandas are going out into the wild!

1714682118272.png

Today was a big day for us at Karma Airguns...but first, a moment of reflection.

From Donny...
"Just shy of the one-year anniversary of the first Red Panda prototype arriving in the US, we at Karma Airguns are reflecting on a remarkable journey throughout 2023. In a year marked by unprecedented victories, the underdog emerged triumphant, etching its name in the annals of airgun history.

Entering the largest airgun competition in the United States with ten prototype airguns, the Red Panda faced off against a field of hundreds of well-established contenders. Against all odds, father-son duo Val and Thayne Simmons seized the spotlight, clinching first and second place, respectively, at the Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge.

Thayne Simmons, for whom the RP is named, further solidified his legacy by achieving the highest score in the 100-yard bench competition, an impressive 239. His feats didn't stop there. In a display of unparalleled skill and determination, Thayne repeated victories in back-to-back-to-back, major 100-yard benchrest competitions, a feat unmatched by any competitor in the history of the sport.

The culmination of these achievements within the span of a single year underscores the extraordinary prowess of the Red Panda prototype and the unwavering dedication of its handlers. As Karma Airguns looks ahead, it remains committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in the world of airgun technology.

The Karma Airguns team is eagerly anticipating your experience with our purposefully designed bench gun. We're thrilled to announce the official release of the production-ready Red Panda in the United States, now available for purchase. Dealers can expect their shipments to arrive shortly."

Major poi shift with just ammo

So I am in process of sorting out and tuning a springer. Been working out which ammo to tune for as a primary choice. All 3 daisy hp(oldversion), rws super hp, and Norma ft 15.9 will group reasnably well and center on the bullseye. Both excite hammers, and h&n ftt domed ammo will shift to the right where I don't have enough adjustment to bring them on center.. .of all 5 the h&n groups the best, but is over an inch right of center at 10 yards. Ir would be my preferred choice if I could get it in the center. So far the only way to do that has been by mounting a scope with more windage adjustment than either the std. Dovetail or peep sight. The scope makes this rifle much heavier than I want to carry around. Any thoughts on this? If it was all ammo I would assume there was a sight mounting issue with the alignment front to back. This rifle hates nothing more than cphp...which is irrelevant here, but it throws horrible groups at close range.

N/A  Packable springers?

I haven't had a springer in 10 years or so, but I've missed their convenience and reliability.

The only drawback (for me) is the size of springers. Length is nice when I'm shooting, but packability is pretty nice for everything else. A smaller hard case for traveling would be luxurious, and (mostly) fitting inside a 50L pack would be great. I hoped to find some quality springers with simple, screw-on stocks --- similiar to what you have on the fx dreamline lite (pcp) or henry survival rifle (rimfire). A folding stock could also fit the bill.

Is a well-made, slightly-packable springer available or maybe a third-party stock? Is there a reason that it doesn't work?

If you have thoughts or know something I've missed, I'd appreciate reading them. Thanks!

PCP Rifle  NLA Guns and ammo FS (price drop)

I don't have any real use or much interest in these guns anymore since I can't shoot or tune at home anymore so I'm putting them on the classifieds along with some ammo. I have a Crosman Gen 2 Fortitude with the following list of upgrades: Boyds at one thumbhole stock, power adjuster, Gen 1 Marauder trigger group with RAW trigger blade, challenger trigger guard, lighter valve spring, not sure if it has the Hill #42 or #45 spring, 1720T hammer, .140 port, valve ported to .140, Altaros regulator, and Crosman match grade L/W barrel, sling, bipod and a UTG bug buster scope. The second gun up for sale is an Artemis PP750. It was drop shipped to Brian at Veradium air and completely gone through resolving issues and tuned. It has the Airgun Archery Fun buffer tube adapter and a brace stock that's wrapped in vinyl. It is painted traditional green camo under the vinyl. It comes with a Monstrum 1-4 lpvo. The third gun is a Discovery carbine bolt action. It will need to be tuned. The gauge has been filled and will send pics to those interested. I've honestly never shot this gun. Like I said earlier things have changed. It has the following mods power adjuster 1710 T hammer, Gen 1 Marauder trigger group with RAW trigger blade, sling, barrel band, and again I'm not sure about hammer spring. I also have some ammo I don't foresee needing either. Thirteen tins of JSB 22 cal 25.39 gr pellets. Eleven tins of JSB 18.13 gr pellets, two tins of Air Arms 18gr pellets. Nineteen tins of CPHP's. And twenty tins of 22 cal Vortex strike pellets. There is some slight damage to a few of the tins. They are on the right side of the picture. Now the hard part... Pricing. All guns will come with cases as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting some details, there's a lot here. All sales buyer pays shipping. I'm asking $500 for the Fortitude, price drop to $475 now. $450 for the PP750, price drop to $425 now. And $350 for the Discovery, price drop to $325 now. $130 for the 25.39. $170 for the 18.13's and 18's. $100 for the CPHP's and $100 for the Vortex. I'm also open to partial trades along with cash. I accept PayPal. PM me with any questions. Thank you for looking.

Introduction

Hey everyone!

I'm fairly new to air rifles, but I've been getting more interested in PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic) rifles lately. I've got a couple now, and I even have my spouse and kids joining me for some shooting sessions. A while ago, I bought a Gauntlet and made some modifications to it, and now my family uses a Fortitude. Although I've been reading air rifle forums for a few years, I don't often participate in discussions.

I've been eyeing some hammer-less air rifles for purchase, and I've seen a few options in the classifieds. However, it seems like I need to make more posts on the forums to engage with other members properly.

Recently, I invested in a GX CS3 air compressor, which has really boosted our shooting frequency. It's much quicker to fill the rifles with the compressor than it is for me to manually pump them.

While my Gauntlet performs well and is more accurate than I am, it's too heavy and long, for my liking. Right now, I'm particularly interested in the Huben K1.

I am almost in the center of the United States and Kansas, enjoying retirement and spending time with family.

New member locations?

I’m curious what happened to the members general locations. It seems that new members don’t provide that anymore. I’m not curious is a stalky kind of way, but I usually check where someone is from for whatever reason. I love that AGN is global, and airgunning is great diplomacy!

FX Impact scope picatinny base?

So far I didn't care about this, my base rail is 0 MOA, because I was using the eaglevision adjustable height scope rings. I am using this MK2 for 100 BR.
I have a long range scope mounted (Falcon X50 X504LR), which I would like to make it travel there and back between this airgun and my new f-class built 308 project.
Why? because I cannot afford and also cannot justify a dedicated scope for that f-class I would be using for competition days only, and that is only a few days a year.
I don't know how to go around a possible issue unless I get somewhere a 20 MOA rail for the Impact and I must replace the rings for this scope anyway for recoil rated.
I don't see anywhere a Impact 20 MOA advertised?

FX  Image of my New FX Panthera Hunter Compact in .22 from Talon Tunes

Here's a picture of my new FX Panthera Hunter Compact in .22 that Tony at Air Guns by TalonTunes did for me with the folding stock adapter and the @SaberTactical lower forward ARCA Rail.

He's shipping it tomorrow so I will have it Saturday and when I get it I'll put on the buffer tube in the butt stock that I have. For a scope I think I'm going to put on an Arken Optics USA Nightvision Info/User Group Arken Optics Zulus HD (Hittac CP258) Owners Group.

I need to tell everyone about the superlative customer service that I got from Toni and Talon Tunes. No charge for installing the ARCA rail or folding adapter which included moving the bottle from the rear to the front and he turns it to where I specified and provides chronograph and Target to show me the accuracy and velocity consistency.
I'm very excited about this I need to find a new home for my FX Maverick in .22 and .30 as well as my Notos.
