Bought acreage

I finally found my land after beating the asphault, gravel and dirt back roads of Alabama, I found it in the Collinsville area.
Here's what I am wanting to do, the property is 25acres approx. 20 is wooded with trails and two feed plots. I am going to expand the trail system and add three more food plots. I am going to open it up to other hunters the criteria is as follows.
Firearm requirements:
*Air Rifles .35 cal min.
*Archery and crossbow.
* Powder guns must be well suppressed (no un-supressed powder guns allowed)

I am also going to allow disabled Vets access for no charge and will provide pcps to hunt with to the Vets who don't have one or can't afford one. I am retired from the Construction and Oil Field Industries, my father (God rest his soul) was a Big Game outfitter in Colorado and I have been shooting and hunting from age 7.
My biggest regret in life is that I did not serve our country. I should have listened to my High School Counselor Mr. Calderon who tried his best to get me to join right from High School. Of course, I didn't listen and things happen. At 24, I tried to enlist however by that time I was already busted up with a broken back in two places and other issues. It was a no go.

I want to be able to give back to our Vets and this is one way I hope I can do that.
I also would like to support the Airgun Industry by hosting shoots, not just bench rest but actual shoots involving hunting blinds, brush, angles of target ect. Much how archery shoots are done for hunting.

Anyway, any feed back or ideas would be appreciated.

Larry.

Pumpers, pain and new age quackery

I am sure I am not the only 1 to experience this. Recently my pumpers have been getting less use. During the pumping of the rifle(392pa, and c9) the 7th and 8th stroke are a lot more force than the rest as pressure builds within the valve. Once I have shot the rifle several times I start getting a sharp pain in the elbow near the funny bone. I expect this is due to something known as cubital tunnel. Which I have been told I have. Similar to carpal tunnel it's just the nerve in the elbow instead of 1 in the wrist being compressed. Not severe enough to require surgery yet, but still a comprimise for some activities. Not a fan of the meds used for relief. I was reading through some old posts on here and discovered 1 by someone claiming relief from a laser type device. Some internet searching reveals it likely a red-light therapy, or ir type treatment device. They also claim it works and has allowed them to continue using pumpers with no other treatment. Now I have 1, it has 2 frequencies of red light and 1 ir spectrum light. Supposedly the ir treatment is best for deep penetration and joint problems from arthritis to problems like mine stimulating circulation in the effected area etc. Today is day 1, recommended treatment is a minimum of 3 weeks even if you experience relief sooner. I will let you know how it goes...either way if it turns out to be ineffective I can return it. Now we wait....maybe a couple days we pump, shoot and test to see if there is any appreciable change in symptoms. Any one else use 1 of these devices? Try any other methods for relief that were successful?

Sidewinder vs Ghost

...after my recent experience with the Huben GK1 I found myself packing up all .30 cal. Ghost parts I just bought and getting ready to send them back for credit towards a .30 cal. Sidewinder...

...but when I was talking to Chris @ AoA I asked him why he bought a Ghost instead of a Sidewinder and he told me it was because he is a competition shooter...

...I am not a competition shooter but now I am not sure I want to go through with this...does anyone have both platforms...???...

PCP Rifle  SOLD Taipan Veteran .22

Taipan Veteran .22. Bought my gun new in May 2020 from Georgia Airguns. It is stock. I estimate less than 300 shots thru it. After a year of no use, I removed it from the gun safe and noticed it had developed a slow leak. I sent it back to Charlie at Georgia Airguns and he re-sealed it. I haven't shot it since i got it back.

I moved to a neighborhood where It's difficult to shoot without the neighbors noticing. Because of that, I decided to let it go.

It comes with everything as original. Taipan Box, Owner's Manual, 2 Magazines, Single shot tray, xtra O-rings, Metal adjusting pins, and the Fill Probe Adapter.

$750

Shipping is $35 in the U.S. Feel free to PM me with questions. Ill provide my phone number if you want to talk on the phone. I'll accept Zelle, Venmo, personal check, and Paypal friends and family. Thanks, Jeff

FX  Fx drs classic walnut version!!!

Hello guys
Did a shot count on my newly acquired drs .177 500mm barrel version,
Since this gun doesn’t have regulator gauge so I used pro chrono to get true data to share with u guys,
Filled up to 230bar using my ex-3000 evo with pro dry pac, yeah I live in a humid enviroment,50+moisture ina the air all the time, takes about under
3 minutes from 130 to 230,
Using recommended jsb exact heavy Diablo 10.34
I got 6 accurate and consistent mags
(16 shots each) and the last 7th mag started shooting off target and the rifle started to bark a lot louder,(without potato)
And this rifle is not back yard friendly like at all,
Contrary to what Utah guys says it is!!!
So ended the session there,
So all in all 6 consistant and accurate mags means 96 shots
And the length and weigh of the rifle is very nice,
36.5 inch long and 5.5lbs without scope,
I m pleased with my purchase.
Utah Airguns are nice retailers.
And some pics for some visually depraved airgunners!!!

HW/Weihrauch  Installed an ARH Hornet kit in my HW85, and now it won't cock...?

I recently purchased a couple of used (very used) HW85's. One of them was functional and the other had a broken cocking shoe and a blown out stock at the end of the cocking slot in the forend due to the cocking lever being forced through it when the shoe let go.
Anyway, I stripped the rifle and repaired the stock while waiting for the new shoe to arrive and found nothing unusual other than a damaged piston sleeve that I was able to rotate within the piston in order to expose an undamaged portion of the sleeve.
from there, I installed an ARH Hornet kit which I ordered 2 of specifically for both rifles.
I'm no stranger to working on springers Weihruachs especially, so I don't believe that I'm overlooking anything obvious. There are no spacers in the piston or on the spring guide. The cocking shoe fits and functions perfectly within the piston slot. The trigger will set and release when removed from the rifle. I did cock the trigger before reassembly and touched it off after it was installed. I was also careful to hold the safety in place while inserting the trigger group.
I'm beginning to suspect that the kits supplied are the wrong ones. There are both a delrin spring guide as well as a tophat on the new Hornet kits. There was about 2" of preload before the end cap threads would engage. I tried to see if the spring is coil bound when the barrel is in the fully cocked position but the piston sleeve obstructs my view.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Crosman  Who recall returned their crosman icon? (Or - crosman really takes care of their customers.)

I picked up the icon during the year end sale when they had that screaming deal. Well, as we know it was recalled due to the possibility of firing with a good bump when the gun was uncocked. I was on the fence about returning it, but went ahead and did so anyways as I've got enough pcps to go around and don't need something that's a potential hazard.

I get a call from crosman today, telling me they received my gun, and would be issuing a refund check for $200. Considering they had no reason to give me anything extra I was pleasantly surprised. Way to go crosman! This sort of customer service deserves kudos.

So who else here returned their icon and did you get the same great treatment?

JTS Airacuda Standard goes “Suppressed”!

So I got an adapter and a Suppressor from Buck Rail. At first I was disappointed. I was getting erratic Pellets all over the target. I was using power 3 to keep things Quiet. I took it off, and the groups came back again. So I then started thinking about it and told myself to try Higher power. So on Power #4 I achieved Minute of Squirrel Accuracy! 30 yards with the JTS 18.1’s. I had run out of the CHP’s, so I will try some groups when I get more. The Buck Rail crew was very helpful. Shipping and communication was excellent! Thanks “Chris”!
