So, I just received a Leopard in .22, standard bottle. I have not shot yet and need a rough I idea of where to start the macro/micro setting for a JSB Hades .22 15.89 grain pellet. Any ideas? I know its a rather new rifle.

Have been sitting on this one for a bit and is time to move it along….

RAW HM1000x that I sent to Allen Z to work his magic on, told him no budget and make it shoot….

He installed a 700cc 300 bar bottle, FX Superior 700mm liner in his full length shroud, trigger was polished and set to 6 ounces, probe was massaged and adjusted to seat perfectly, reg set at 145 bar all set in a beautiful laminate stock. Shot count is off the charts and is hands down one of the most consistent guns I have owned (and I have owned/own ALOT)…..

Being the FX superior liner was installed it shoots pellets and slugs (JTS 22.07 are what I am shooting currently). With the shroud it is insanely quiet, like sounds broken quiet!

Ships with one magazine and all paperwork from Allen.

Honestly pricing I am a bit unsure on but throwing it out there for 1500 shipped (have close to double that in the gun, bottle, shroud, liner, and tune) but we can always discuss….

First, Im, new here,great forum. Ive have always lurked.
I ran across a Crosman 140,no spoon and has cast trigger,so from what i find, maybe a fourth variant.
It isnt pretty but it doesnt look bad,it will not hold air.
I have never worked on firearms, but I have rebuilt small engines and other mechanical things. Just curious if I should undertake this or find an air rifle gunsmith. I also want to reblue it, and even tho stock looks rough, I may just put a new finish on it,no heavy sanding.
Is it possible to get a peep site on it , also??
Ive done a few searches and found good info on this site and even a You Tube showing someone repairing a 140.
I would really like talk with someone on this if possible.

If I air up a PCP how long should I expect it to maintain pressure?

I have had my Blackwolf now for a few weeks and still struggle to put a scope on it. Strangly none of the scope mounts I bought or had fit the rear rail. The front seems like a normal Picatinny but the rear is always loose, no matter what rings. I even took off my Barrett expensive rings and it will just not fit. Take a look at the photo. The front rail looks normal but the rear rail just will not fit any of the 3 scope mounts I tried. So maybe I am an idiot or I am venting, but that is just stupid. Am I missing something? Will the rear only accept a special kind of ring and if so why would they do that??? Any help is appreciated!

Has anyone ever made a pellet gun version of a revolver carbine rifle? In particular, I’m thinking of the 1858 Remington Revolver Carbine.
Or somewhat similarly, a Colt Buntline with the detachable rifle stock?

So had some free time this afternoon and decided to try organize my closet and the gun safe a bit. My wife was extremely excited, we have seperate closets, she's a neat freak and hers is very organized.

Cut to a little while later, she comes walking into our bedroom and looks at me like I have 2 heads. First words out of her mouth were "What the hell? How does all that fit in the safe?" My response was "That's just some of the airgun stuff, I haven't opened the safe yet". After a long pause she just said, in a very sarcastic way "ok" and walked away.

To be fair setting up a 6ft table up in the middle of our bedroom wasn't the smartest idea and probably could have had a better reply to her initial question Oops, after all these years she should know better, but I think maybe I should too

I'm sure other have had similar situations happen, share you're story if you have one. Well time to go to the backyard and do some shooting I guess

Tim mentioned that 23 fpe, up from 13 fpe was possible with the steroid, which means a CPHP (14.3 gr), in a stock gun (+/- 660 fps) will be pushed to nearly 900 fps (25.55 fpe) in the steroid! That's beyond impressive!

I've already picked up some graph paper really cheap from Walmart so I'll be able to make a graph of the new fps ratings of the pellets. I plan on using the CPHP's, as that's what was used in the chart I found on line - this way I'll have a straight comparison between stock & steroid. The CPHP pellets are also only 0.1 gr heavier than the RWS SUPER H POINTS, so the graph for the Crosman's should almost exactly match the performance of the RWS SHP's. And the Crow Magnum Pellets are only 0.32 gr lighter than the Baracuda Hunter Extreme pellets I also have, so they should be pretty close to the same.

Just for fun, I also have a few dozen 21.14 gr Baracuda Match pellets that I will test as well.

This brings me back to the silicone-filled hollow points. They showed similar expansion in bare and rubber-glove covered Play Doh and I'm wondering what bumping up the FPE by 10 fpe will make them do??

I have to take my son to an appointment at 1:30, but when I'm done, out to Medina I go to pick up my friend's chronograph, so I'm ready when the rifle arrives. A quick zeroing session (so I don't shoot the chronograph), then it's off to the marathon of pumping to test the 3 pellets.

I'm already "pumped up" for the rifle's arrival and the wait is torturous . But I'm hoping for next week, so maybe I'll be able to handle it .

Everyone’s opinion on best make/model PCP air rifle?

I picked up this gorgeous rifle at the Carlisle airgun show. Wonderful rifle, but the spring buzz was so bad that I couldn't enjoy shooting it. I took it down and made a piston sleeve, then applied a small amount of tar while soaking the piston seal in neatsfoot oil for a few minutes. . It's been a few decades since I messed with the dreaded 3 ball sear. A little fiddly, but after walking away and coming back a few days later, things went together easily. She's vibration free now with a very smooth cycle.

Tonight’s shot was much less clean than last night - tonight’s looked like a scene from a Tarantino movie. Same .177 Polymag, same HW110, much messier story. You’ve been warned…
