Into and out of - the kneeling position

Since starting HFT I have been practicing only seated shots... reason... 80% are from the seat yes? My thoughts...
Master that and then start practicing the much harder standing and kneeling.
So i feel like I have reached that point where improvement now requires getting into the kneeling position... it's hell getting old, esp if your body is torqued from injuries of yesteryears.
One of the biggest hassles of practicing kneeling is finding a way (and place) to sit the gun down so i can get into position and place knee rolls etc..
I don't like setting the airgun directly on the ground. Anyone know of some good videos that demonstrate getting into and out of the kneeling position that don't trash the gun or the shooter ?

Air Venturi  Digital Gauges?

Hello All,
I've really been enjoying my new Avenger Bullpup 25. I just wonder about these analog gauges, fill/reg. I was hoping to get some advice about installing digital gauges. Obviously something accurate but also low profile. I do like that the analogs are nicely tucked in and would hope to see something similar in size.
I've only just now begun to have a look so I thought I'd begin by seeing if anyone had any thoughts?

I would like to replace the reg first. I guess the full isn't quite the priority as I didn't plan to take it right to the limit.
I look forward to any thoughts... Thanks

Western Airguns  Western Airguns Mordax Venom

I was watching some Youtube hunting videos and came across this video. Apparently, Western Airguns released a bottled version (Larger reg too!) of the Mordax. I'm intrigued by it. Anyone have this gun in .22 and if it's able to produce more power than the aluminum tube version? I am also wondering if this is a better buy than the Edgun Leshiy 2. 🤔

GX CS4-I shutting off

My CS4 has been great for the last year. But I have only been using it to fill guns. I recently acquired an SCBA tank and since I started filling the tank, the compressor will shut off. I don’t know if it is some kind of fault protection but when I try to press the start button again it won’t start. If I relieve all of the pressure allow the fan to run and cool it down and unplug it and let it sit for a few minutes and plug it back in everything works fine. I am usually running it for 30 to 45 minutes when topping off the SCBA. Also it won’t fill the bottle past 4200 psi. Fills tubes and bottles on guns to 4500 no problem but just can’t seem to get that number on the SCBA.

2025 Daystate BRK Experience - A Huge Success!

More than 300 airgunners descend on Sandon Hall stately home in Staffordshire UK

Airgun enthusiasts from across the country again took part in the July Daystate and BRK Experience – an extravaganza of shooting, workshops and presentations – at the beautiful Sandon Hall and grounds in Staffordshire.

More than 150 shooters each day took advantage of the opportunity to try out the entire BRK/Brocock and Daystate and ranges of rifles on targets out to 120 meters with more than 10,000 pellets shot.

Guidance and advice were on hand from extreme benchrest experts Chris Jensen and World Champion Lauren Parsons who travelled to the event from Arizona, as well as members of the Daystate and BRK Airgunners’ Support Pack (ASP) who provided range support for the 23 rifles on the outdoor ranges.

In addition, The Airgun Extra Show’s Mat Manning and Rich Saunders delivered presentations on ‘Camouflage and Concealment’ and ‘How to get a Shooting Permission’.

For the more technically minded, the Sub 12 Airgunners team was on hand to answer tuning questions, along with the testing and assembly team from BRK and Daystate to explain how the rifles work and how to service them.

Helping to round out the Experience Days were stands from Killgerm Training, specialist tuning and accessory company PRS and the Staffordshire Red Squirrel Initiative whose Red Squirrel Conservation Team were on hand to raise awareness of the threat posed by grey squirrels and advise how to control them.

If all that wasn’t enough, every attendee was presented with a goodie bag with a retail value of £152.00.

Perhaps the happiest attendees were Michael D and Peter E who took home the top raffle prizes of a BRK Ghost SE and Daystate Blackwolf.

“Everyone had a great time. There were plenty of guns to shoot and lots of opportunity to chat to the experts and fellow airgun enthusiasts,” says Tony Belas.

“The 2025 BRK and Daystate and Experience was a resounding success and I would like to pass my congratulations to the 35 Daystate and BRK staff that were involved in organising and putting it on, as well as the 250 visitors who came determined to enjoy themselves. They really made it a wonderful couple of days…It couldn’t have gone better”.

Unofficial word is that they set up a speed shooting course and had the 2025 RMAC Speed winner, Lauren Parsons, set the time to beat. Robert Buchanan (owner of AoA) put up $20 for anyone who could beat her time. No one came within 20 seconds of her time, so Robert kept his friendly wager.

Raccoon Pellet Choice/Tune (vs plinking)

I'm dealing with a raccoon problem at my chicken coop. Knock wood they've left the chicks alone (coop is pretty secure) and are going in the run, eating the feed, etc. It's a drive thru all night long.
I've got 2 so far. I'm new to all this so...
I have an Air Venturi Avenger Bullpup(2) 25 cal. Right now just the factory tune. Reg about 2800. I currently have the JSB Exact 25 gr. I'm set up about 40 yards in a perfect angle position.
The first I got nervous and only got a body shot. But, I got another in him and he dragged away. No way he made it.
I then put a bait board with smeared PB and marshmallows. The next was in position long enough that I hit the base of the head. Thrashing but I quickly got another. When I approached he was still alive. Point blank ended it.
I'm sure the combo of this distance, 25 grain, tune just isn't quite enough for these dense monsters.
I guess I'm searching for the best of both worlds. Maybe a heavier hybrid type pellet? If I did that would a hammer spring adjustment be needed?
I did get a cheap Chrono that guys here recommended but I haven't tinkered with it yet. I do allot of plinking so I'd hate to really jack it up. That said, this problem comes first. Last think we need is then getting in the coop.
At this point, I'm open to any advice. The distance is pretty much fixed. Any closer would require a steep change in angle.
Right now, I'm going to keep putting the food, try to nail down their time table now that I've taken out the big ones that come first. I have cams all around for this.
Much Appreciated....

JSB or Crosman?

This is a bit of an odd situation but I am honestly trying to decide whether I want to shoot JSB 18.1 grain or Crosman 14.3 grain pellets from my new-to-me Bullshark 22. I started shooting the Crosmans early when I was trying to get the regulator working just because they are cheap. But I noticed they were grouping pretty well. So I tried a 30 yard challenge target with them and I think it was a 194. I shot a 193 with them this evening in 10 mph winds. Earlier today I shot a 195 with the JSBs and I shot a 198 with the JSBs a couple weeks ago so I think they shoot better. But is maybe another 3-4 points worth roughly double the pellet cost? The Crosmans are flying about 925 and the JSBs about 875 fps. The tune was really selected for the JSBs, it just happens to work well with the Crosmans. It is even possible I could get a little more out of the Crosmans by sorting them and tweaking the tune.

I need to at least test some of the new Spanish Crosmans to make sure it likes them too but if it does, what would you do? I could also test FX 18.1 and they will probably shoot like the JSBs but they cost almost as much too. I kind of like having a gun set up for cheap pellets even though it may not be my best target shooter.

What would you do?

Huben  If you can only have one and cannot resell: Hubens K1 OR Daystate Delta Wolf?

Of all the threads I started, this one is probably the most 'out there.' However, it is an earnest question, and due to an unexpected turn of events, it is not merely a theoretical one.

If you could only have either the Hubens K1 or the Daystate Delta Wolf as a gift, and you couldn't resell it, so the resale value is out of the picture, which would you pick? And why?

Your insights would be particularly valued if you have used both extensively. However, everyone is welcome to share your opinions.

Thank you.

GX air filter

As many of you may know, I've used nitrogen exclusively for a long while now and it keeps everything nice and clean, and above all, dry. Well, I'm getting tired of running out all the time to get new cylinders. I'm not saying I'm going to stop using n2, but I thought with the new GX filter out, I'd give it a try.
I installed it today, great kit and really easy to setup and use. GX thought of everything.
To fill the filter and get air started to your gun adds almost exactly one minute, so the added time is not a big issue.
One thing that I do notice is that when feeding my compressor 10 psi of n2, it pumps slightly faster than using air, but again, not a big deal.

The filter looks like it's super well built and would last almost forever, and according to GX the filter media is good for a long time. The advert says a year, or that's how I take the graphic included with the unit. I think I'll change it three times a year and be good. I already still have a quart jar of desicant from using a filter before, so I'm good for a long time. I'll try it for a while and see how it goes. At the least, If I do go back to n2 and run out, I still have a quick way to switch over and use air.

Tuning  General Operational and Math Question

I was just looking at different gun specs and came across a gun that has an 18" barrel, fill pressure of 3625 psi (regulator pressure not specified), and claims 985 fps and 35 fpe at the muzzle. I calculated that the pellet has to be 16 grains for this to happen.
Now, my gun has a 23.6" barrel, fill pressure of 3600 psi (regulated to 1800psi) and can get 900 fps with a 14.5 grain pellet, giving 26 fpe. The velocity would have to be increased to 1039 fps to get to 35 fpe. How would you go about tuning to get 35 fpe? I would think that with the longer barrel a larger blast of air would do it, so increase the hammer spring pressure or ??
