.22 Darts Milbro

Got a Snowpeak SP500 pistol to try darts, the only .22 darts I could find are these Milbro Black 0.222. It does 4 fpe with 14.3 grain CPHP at 355 fps.

These are about 21.2 grain, I average 50fps or 0.12 FPE with them. The package says they are mild steel. After shooting I see no rifling marks and they pull out by hand very easy. Heres a 20 shot group at about 8 feet. I ran out of travel so I want to get a longer elevation screw and stretch or replace elevation spring.

GX CS4-I (water-cooled) or AEA 480 BAR/7000 PSI (air-cooled)

I know the price difference is almost $200, but deciding which one to get, I do like the digital layout of the AEA but from videos it looks like it vibrates badly. The GX seems proven and good value for the money. Thoughts?

BSA  BSA Super Sport Magnum .22 Cal.

Hello to all,

Back in 1986 I had a booth at the Shot Show in Las Vegas, I was taking a break and walking the floor looking at what was available and came across a booth that was representing BSA Air Rifles. BSA has a much storied history; ( Birmingham Small Arms, England) they have manufactured Firearms, Air Rifles, Motorcycles, bicycles and even an automobile. They are probably best known for their BSA Motorcycles, a very popular line of Motorcycle’s both there and abroad.

There was an Air Rifle on a table at this booth that caught my eye, it was labeled, “BSA Supersport Magnum” It was a barrel cocking Rifle available in both .177 and .22 caliber, the velocity claim on the .22 caliber was 750 fps!! It was a very sleek looking rifle, OAL, 39”, WEIGHT 6.5 LBS, adjustable rear sight, barrel mounted , fixed front, rubber butt pad, safety was a lever on the right at the rear next to the tube. Also had a scope rail, the guys at the table said it was a Maxi Grip scope rail; that the scope rail was mounted on rubber strips, and would help eliminate scope slippage? The Cocking effort was about 30+lbs.

Anyhow I liked the rifle and vowed to look more into it after the show. In 1988 I was browsing thru my latest Shotgun News and saw an ad for the “BSA Supersport” from a company called “Precision Sales International Inc”. I placed an order for the .22 caliber. At some time BSA became a subsidiary of “Gamo” in Spain, I don’t know anything other than that, and really am not interested, will leave that to someone else to sort out, I am only interested in the product!! I have read that the DS prefix on the serial number of this rifle indicates 1986 production?

The “Supersport” was kept in my shop for pest control and plinking, it was light, handled well and was accurate, I did try a scope on it and a red dot sight neither was to my liking, they in my view took away from the ease of handling and quick sight picture I wanted with this rifle, although I may reconsider soon at my age now!! Back in that time frame I was pretty busy in my shop and did not have much time to devote to air guns, I think it was in late 1999 when I set out to finally determine the pellet for the BSA Supersport, I had just mostly used Crosman .22 caliber which was good for about 1 -1/4 inch groups at 25 yards open sights.

After trying out a myriad of pellets I found three that displayed the most potential and were consistent accuracy wise with this rifle; RWS 14 grain. Match, RWS 11.9 grain Hobby and H&N HP, 12.65 grains The RWS 14 gr. Match delivered 697 fps. /15.1 ft. lbs. The RWS Hobby 11.9 grain delivered 760 fps. / 15.3 ft. lbs. and the H&N HP 12.65 gr. delivered 743 fps / 15.5 ft. lbs. All three of these pellets will deliver ¾ to 1 inch groups at 25 yards @ 15 + ft.lbs at the muzzle, a real “Thumper”, no it’s not a target rifle but it is ,in my view, more than adequate for my intended use! The RWS 14 grain Match always exhibited the most concentric group patterns and is the pellet I chose for this rifle. These rifles have hammer forged barrels and are quite good!!

I have thru the intervening years replaced the Mainspring and Piston seal twice, along with the breech seal, but other than that it remains as I purchased it some 30 + years ago; it still hangs out in my shop to this day, I call it my “Work Horse”!!

While on the subject of BSA, I also have a copy of a 1920s BSA break barrel Air Rifle made, as best I have been able to determine, by the Japanese in the early 1950s/60s, it has an engraving on top of the rear tube stating “Trade Mark” along with “Champion” and a serial # 268 in several places. I will enclose some photos, may put up a little something on it in the future, really a fun little Air rifle!!

PCP Rifle  NLA Wtt/wts bronze fx m3 impact

Looking to trade/sale my m3 in .22 standard
I purchased new thinking it would be ok me being a lefty but the magazine totally bugged me so I purchased the lefty kit and 2 Orion magazines but during the install I stripped one of the power block holes.I purchased a allen screw from home depot that snugged up and seems fine.I purchased a new power block and screw set from a fx dealer but there's no way I'm doing another install, that will be up to new owner.i have only put a tin or less through the m3 since new .the picture with the allen wrench is pointing to the stripped hole that has the screw from home depot in it.
No scope,or mounts or bipod included but can be negotiated .
Price 1500$ shipped paypal ff or add $ for fees.

Lower 48 on shipping
I live in Knoxville Tennessee and would travel an hour maybe 2 for a meet up to trade.

I was informed by a nice member here that what I thought was a power block actually is not and after checking into it ,it's more like the block from the early m3 runs before the power block came out.The fx dealer sent me out the wrong block. My m3 is a power block model so I'm in the process of rounding up a correct power block before putting back up for trade.

Athlon #214514 - HERAS SPR 15-60X56 BLR2 SFP MOA

Just got this scope a month or so ago but the reticle is too fine for my old eyes.

Snaps in / out of focus really good for FT but I was having problems in the dark shadows.
Just a personal problem, not a fault with the scope.
Asking $500, includes shipping.
I don't support PayPal, so USPO Money Order, Bank cashiers check, or personal check (held till funds clear).

HW/Weihrauch  HW95-I like It Like That

I bought a pre-owned HW95 walnut in .177 cal from AOA. When it came in, it looked brand new and not a mark on it. AOA test sheet showed velocity of 888 fps with JSB 8.4 gr pellets. Boy, was it twangy. I replaced the innards with a Vortek PG4 HO kit and before in put it in, I cut one coil off the spring figuring it would make it a little smoother. Velocity then jumped to 927 fps. The twang was gone but the shot cycle was really snappy. Accuracy improved too, but I kept getting a flyer every 10 or 15 shots. Still not satisfied, I replaced the HO spring with a 12 fpe spring from Tom at Vortek. Now, it's shooting 8.4 AA pellets at 840 fps for 13.2 fpe and 762 fps with JSB 10.3 gr at 13.0 fpe. The shot cycle is much smoother and the cocking effort is just right for my 85 year old carcass. I guess the power level is about what an HW50 is. I really like it here. Accuracy is top notch and I've decided this rifle is a keeper.

Newbie here and looking for advice !!!

Greetings All,

I recently purchased a .22 cal Umarex Zelos for my grandson. I think I have a handle on which scope I want to buy but do not have the compressor/SCBA tank figured out.

My thought was to buy a SCBA tank and a compressor to fill up the tank. Also, I'm looking at buying smaller tank for portability.

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

PCP Rifle  WTS LCS-SK19 .22 Custom

Hello, I have a nearly brand spanking new LCS-SK19 in .22 caliber. I found a dealer that still had some that had been removed from the website but were brand new, in the box. It shoots flawlessly. Zero issues. I guess I'm just not a semi auto guy. And, I'm really not a full auto guy. Is it super cool, YES! But, bench rest targets is really more my speed. It only has one tin of JSB 18.13 pellets through it. This is the FX barrel version. So, if you want to shoot pellets use the Superior liner. That is what's in it. But, if your a slug guy you can use the Superior Heavy liner. It has a 600mm FX Superior on it now and it does well with JSB's. It is full auto and semi auto selectable and does both very well. I call it a custom simply because I custom fit a really nice grip for it and had a bottle sleeve, and custom barrel band made specifically for it. It has a new Donnyfl Sumo mod and a new Arken LH-4 6-24x50mm FFP Illuminated scope. I have fitted the scope with a Ultra-lite Razor Claw one piece scope mount to shave some weight. It has a nice pic rail under the bottle and it will come with a new UTG Recon 360 bipod. The bottle is a 580cc 300 bar. And, it will do around 4 full mags on a full fill. It has the capabilities of being hypersonic but can also be turned way down to increase shot count. I'm asking $2,000 plus shipping per location for everything that is in the picture. PayPal is preferred. Goods and Services is also no problem if my feedback stats don't satisfy my honest salesmanship. But, you will need to pay the selling fee. You can PM me here or reach out by call/text to Brett Williams (870) 450-8479 with any questions of purchase information. Thanks for looking. Safe shooting
