PCP Rifle  SOLD *SOLD* Umarex Zelos .22 Compact with .22L bottle, 2 Big Air magazines and Bulldog carry bag

** SOLD within 15 minutes **

I purchased this Compact Umarex Zelos with a shortened barrel and 0.22L tank from Firewalker in January. I rarely get a chance to shoot anymore. But I'd briefly owned a Notos last year which had been upgraded by Firewalker and was simply curious to see how the newer Zelos compared. The Notos was very nice for a lightweight entry-level rifle while the Zelos is inching into the lower-priced end of the big leagues. It offers a lot for the money.

I shot a few mags through it and it cycles correctly and works fine.
It handles well with the shortened barrel and bottle, and has a very solid feel.

Here are the specs from the original ad:

Compact Umarex Zelos .22 with a 500mm barrel, .22L carbon fiber bottle and quick disconnect adapter, 2 Umarex magazines, and user manual etc.

The total length, with the .22L bottle, is 27.6" and the weight is 6 lb 9 oz.
Tuned to shoot 18.3gr pellets at870fps with 1900psi (30.7fpe) and 975fps at 2500psi (38.6fpe)

I also bought a couple of Big Air pellet magazines and a padded Bulldog carry bag for it.

The Zelos will ship in the original box, along with the carry bag and the extra magazines.
All items included in the sale are shown in the attached pictures.

Some air rifles like this end up cycling through the classifieds several times, as different people decide to give them a try out of curiosity. This model seems to be a good one, nice and short, and available at a much more reasonable price than most competing models of similar design and power range. And it's an especially good deal with the shortened barrel and bottle conversion.

The asking price is $550 and includes shipping CONUS.
PayPal only, no trades considered.

Send me a message asking to buy it and I'll send my PayPal and will ship it in a couple of days.

Thanks for looking

JP

.25 caliber at 32 FPE not enough?

As I continue to explore lower power tune .25 caliber I constantly learn different aspects of it. I currently have my Taipan Veteran Short .25 tuned to 32 FPE. I've taken a number of squirrels with it; both headshots and a heart and lung shot. The last 2 though didn't go so well. The shots were a day apart. One was 17 meters and the other was 30 meters away. Both were headshots and both seemed to do the death dance typical of a headshot. I left both for a few minutes before I picked them up. To my surprise, what I thought were dead squirrels started crawling back up. I went out there and the shots looked like the typical very bloody headshots... just that the squirrels didn't die. Both had to have follow up shots.

I've used a 30 FPE .22 caliber and a 45 FPE and 53 FPE .25 caliber and I've never had anything like that happened before with headshots. I don't know if the .25 at 32 FPE were bouncing or just not penetrating enough but those squirrels were hit with around 27 FPE on impact which I would think is more than enough. What are your experiences with larger calibers at lower power tunes in regards to hunting and pest control?

Benjamin  akela .177

this arrived on monday from AR! i think i got pretty lucky with the stock raffle 😁i haven’t zeroed yet due to work but im excited to be shooting .177 again. last time i shot the caliber was over 20 years ago!
IMG_9110.jpeg

i’ve read a few things about cutting the HS to get more shots on this platform. i do have a few questions to ask
1. what’s the best weight pellet to shoot out of this gun?
2. is it capable of shooting slugs?
3.

FX  M3 or king?

Hi, im going to buy a New toy and dont know who to choose.
The king is new and the m3 is slightly used (m3 is 100$ less)
I have had m3 before and kinda know it and was happy with it, but the king has since its realese always been a wet dream.
I shoot for fun and nothing specaial but I am a "power whore" and am abit sceptical to the kings 600mm vs m3 700mm power wise, I will shoot in .25.

Any toughts? :)

Break barrel safety

Watching videos on the 'net, I'm surprised how many people I see break a gun down then load a pellet without holding the barrel to prevent it from slamming closed, potentially taking off a finger or thumb, or damaging the gun. I've never had it happen but that's because I ALWAYS hold the barrel.

New pellet

1000032274.jpg

Hello everyone I'm new here and I wanted to ask if anyone has good results using the jsb match disable Hades (middle pellet). The fall In easy into the breach of my gun and arnt tight. While the copper magnum on the right does. I guess my gun likes longer pellets since it groups the magnums better ? I haven't used the poly mags on the left yet. Any recommendations on new pellets in .177 are much appreciated

FWB  Found a gem.

Just before Easter weekend I bought this FWB 300 Junior. The seller asked if he could send after Easter, which was fine with me. Two weeks before this, from the same seller, I got another FWB and had to pay $55. shipping, delivered to my door. Which was fine with me. Today I had to go to Purolator to pick up my prize. 45 minutes away on highway. Finally got there, and the desk lady says—- They wanted $170. for delivery. I dislocated my jaw. Same case 2 weeks later 3 x’s the money. I said I wasn’t asking for a flight. Then they ask what kind of gun is in there and they have to inspect it. They might not allow the delivery. This is a first.
IMG_1733.jpeg

Then I’m told it was sent air mail. But, but it came ground. so they can adjust the bill. She got it down to $91. “Robbery”. Call the Police I’ve just been robbed. But agreed to get out of there after a half hour.
IMG_1734.jpeg

The stock on this club gun has some history. The steel is in great shape. But this thing is so smooth to shoot.
IMG_1732.jpeg
Unfortunately the rear cup on the rear sight is missing. Wasn’t aware of that.
Does anyone know if these are available?
IMG_1736.jpeg
Love the square trigger guard.
IMG_1735.jpeg

This is a great starter gun.
Blown away with the accuracy shooting as is.
Crow
‘Score” before I hit post the guy I got this 300 from called me. I told him about the sight missing and he said he will replace it. 👍
Oh, he also told me it was absolutely sent ground. Purolator was BS me.

Accessories  WTS FX Impact Shrouds (2)

Up for sale are 2 FX IMPACT SHROUDS.
INSIDE THREADS ARE 1/2x20, OUTER THREADS ARE 20mm. They will come exactly as pictured.
I think the longer one is for a 600mm and the short one for a compact. The part number for the longer one is 19692. Not sure of the part number for the short one.

Asking 165 for both shipped.

PayPal F&F as usual.

Meisterkugelns

So I haven’t bought pellets in quite awhile. I was getting close to the end of my stash so I ordered some Meisterkugelns from Amazon. The box came damaged but when I opened it the tins were just thrown in there with a little paper. They had some minor dents but nothing too bad. What really surprised me was the tins had paper labels and one didn’t have any label plus they are a nightmare to get open. Glad I still have some old tins. Is this typical of RWS these days?

FX  FX M4 Angled Manometer Bracket

Im thinking about getting this FX angle bracket and their digital guage for my new M4 but I’m trying to decide if I spend the $200 or will it be a waste.

Anyone have this angled manometer bracket on their M4 and is a lefty?

Do you have any thumb interference and is it difficult to access the safety?

Anyone using this gauge/mount and the OEM on the bottom of the stock in parallel? Anyone had any problems using two gauges, I kinda like the idea of having both analog and digital to reference if needed.

Any feedback is appreciated, still on the fence and not sure if it’s better to have it or not…

N/A  Suggestions on first PCP, small game hunting, and having fun.

Prefer a semi-auto, compact as possible, and quiet with a moderator. The new homes near the farm are roughly 35 yards away, and our property moves away from them. I have been compiling a list of ones to consider. Will shoot for fun as well, but many small pests are showing up. We are settled in a valley by a river and get constant breezes to strong winds. I have been watching videos for almost a month, trying to find the decibel readings, but getting an idea is challenging. I lean towards the sidewinder mini, but users' reports have me wondering whether the new neighbors will complain. Huben K1 seems to be considered generally quiet. Will also be shooting at our house during the night. I prefer the sidewinder, but if anyone with experience believes it would be an issue, I would like feedback on what would meet my needs.

Plan to carry the tractor as well when working:

Skout  Epoch .177 pellet loading?

Anyone had problems with certain pellets being hard to load? I mainly use Barracuda 8s and JSB Heavies and until recently I have had no problems with either but all of a sudden the 8s are very notchy and hard to load, the only thing that I have done different is to change the pellet probe O rings and yes they are the correct size and there is little chance of getting the alignment wrong with the mounting and no I haven't used too much force, and It's also not any looser than intended, yet the JSB heavies have no problems, and they are pretty much the same dimensions.
