Yes, on occasion this mediocre shooter sends some sweet 1 MOA, five shot groups out to 50 yards and beyond. But mostly I’ll send 3 or 4 great shots and flub the fifth. Or, send 3 great shots and flub shots four and five. I can hold consistent 1 MOA, 3 shot groups on a good day, but am not a target shooter or competitor. I am a plinker and pester in no particular order. Once zeroed? Am off to the races. At practical ranges? 1/16th off in the “the vitals”? Matters not to the pests… DRT! While I may be mistaken, I believe that three, shot groups better reflect what I can do with my PCPs. Of course understanding that my PCPs group better than I can hold.., Thoughts?

I wanted to grab a variety of grains. the super light "Predator" will be used for long distance plinking and just messing around. The others are a variety of grains I intend to use for small/medium game. I know a .25 would have been better than a .22 for this, but if I can get myself a turkey this year then that would be really cool; that's what the heaviest grain in my list is for. My main goal here is to have something that could dispatch a turkey using a .22.

For the turkey hunting, I can't imagine I'd be more than like 8-10 meters out max. For the long range plinking, that's just going to be for shooting at inanimate targets for fun, basically just to see how far I can push the rifle.

Thoughts?

Edit: I also forgot to mention that this specific Maurador will be the "Regulated" model with the "Lothar Walther" barrel.

Anyone used these cheap Audrius internal regulators from Lithuania that are sold only on eBay for around $70? Like this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/162104913497. I want to try to drop it one in my Marauder, but I'm not sure. Huma reg is $120. I sent a message to the eBay seller (2014_rusy) asking about some specs and instructions and heard nothing back. Suspicious . Anyone use these regs, and what's your experience? Worth a shot or not?

Now the magic was made on the Sidewinder .30 Cal.

I was not entirely happy with the accuracy of this rifle.

Went for the help of the weird drill tip, made the recrown of the barrel of the Sidewinder and now the accuracy is as good as expected.

Have enjoyed diving back into the hobby this past month or so (man has there been a ton of changes and advancements)!!

Currently throwing all my focus around 100 yard bench rest and have numerous contenders in the stable I am testing out.

One is a RAW HM1000x .22, put it through its paces today and one thing that blew me away was how well it grouped not only the 25.39 Monster Redesigns but also the JTS 22.07 (flying at 1010 fps!). 100 yards 40 shots. Apologizes for not posting with a measurement or thumb nail etc. to give a sense of size but measured 1.30 inches from far left to bottom edge of far right.



This was with a middle of the road scope, 24x magnification, rear bag and Atlas bipod sitting on a 4 foot long card table and a lawn chair so not the most stable setup.

Not sure if this one will make the cut for my intended purpose (have 13 more to put through their paces) but sure was surprised to see a fairly light weight .22 pellet group so well at that speed and distance.

Anyways just thought I would share my findings and throw this out there for other HM1000x .22 owners.

How much of an advantage is it really? You save like 4 bucks on shipping, but the package ends up taking almost a month to get to the destination. It's ridiculous.

I refuse to use the post office for shipping items now vs a year ago I actually recommended them. My items have also been getting damaged by them vs the other 2 major carriers. They are about worthless when trying to file a claim or any follow ups to said claims.

I can't be the only one who's had issues with this service. How has your experience been?

I just got this with the 600mm 177 barrel in it and have a 500mm 25cal barrel, mag,probe I have never put on yet. I am going to be honest I don't care for the POI change daily so it's got to go. When it settles in its shoots lights out which is fine for bench and target work but not for hunting. Scope,bipod,extended pic rail not included. I'm am interested in trading for Ghost HP in 22 or 177, evol, delta wolf or RW HP in 177. Can add money for the trade. Or I will sell for 1700 with shipping. Comes in fx hard case.
My understanding this is the mk2 version with power plenum. It was the latest version right before the mk3 with dual regs.

Title says it all. What have you found gets them good and clean without dinging the skirts?

Hey guys, can anyone please advise on available options to add an externally adjustable in-line regulator to a bottle airgun? The only one I found so far is this one: Ninja Flex Adjustable Pressure 1000-3000Psi Air Tank Regulator, which is basically a glorified paintball reg. Costs around $150 here: https://mcsus.com/products/ninja-flex-adjustable-pressure-1000-1700psi-air-tank-regulator. it comes in 3 versions - 1000-1700psi, 1700-2500psi, 2200-3000psi. I'd say for 4500psi rated bottle I need to go for 2200-3000psi one, but I might be wrong. Any other options available out there? I saw a few posts talking about JSAR external regs, but could not find any for sale, probably they are not manufactured any longer. And if you did actually add an external reg like this - how was your experience? Which gun and was it worth it? What are the possible issues that I need to watch for, things to be away, things to do and do not do. Questions, questions. Please advise before I screw this up myself, your experience and expertise are the most valuable assets of this forum . Thanks guys!

Will it work indoors at a range of 10 yards for a .22 pellet approx 900 fps?
I read that it suggests 50 feet as the minimum range, but there are some reports on the web that say 10 yards is possible.
Any actual user experience is appreciated.

07/13/2024. Went out inspired and confident and killed a dozen rats last night from 10 to 25 yards. I missed only one of the shots I sent. But in several instances I was simply unprepared to send and as we know rats are skittish. That said, the CPHPs out of the Atomic XR simply wrecks them. All shots taken from a bipod or tripod, this little Atomic/Arken combination is almost unfair” to the rats. I did not record all my kills, as oftentimes I miss an opportunity while trying to record. I simply love bagging rats, the hits never get old…

New to the forum, searched through the threads, but wasn't able to find a topic that seemed to line up with my question below, so thanks in advance for any wisdom the group might be able to impart here.

I just received my first proper air air rifle an Avenger .177. Put a Vortex 4-12 50mm scope and bipod on it and have been really impressed with its precision. Stock hammer spring position, ~4200psi charge with 2000psi reg.

Shooting mostly at 50yrds in my back yard, and I find as I shoot the groups are great, roughly dime size, but they'll move as I shoot by as much as 2in, then create a new group that is dime size again, always laterally. Typically seeing this over the course of 60-80 shots in ~30min or so.

Seems as though if I let the gun sit, it'll shot back at its zero position. No environmental corelations like wind, temperature, etc.

Maybe it needs to be cleaned more frequently? Just variability from the barrel heating up?

Has anybody seen this and if so know how I best go about remeding the variability?

I just got a new Pelican iM3100 case for my gun! I also had to get a shorter suppressor to give more clearance. My gun originally had a DonnyFL Koi (second picture) and it had less than an inch clearance inside this case. It was enough clearance but I just feel more comfortable with a bit more. The Ryu is 2 inches shorter than the Koi. I really liked the way the gun looked with the Koi, but now seeing it with the Ryu on it, I feel that the shorter length suppressor looks proportioned with the rifle aesthetically.

I've been using the Plano 52" ~$45 case for a few years now. I've always wanted to get a nicer Pelican case that is shorter because the 52" length of the Plano is quite cumbersome especially when loading inside the car. What really pushed me over the edge this time though to just buy the case is when I got the Accu-Tac bipod a few months ago. This is a backyard varmint rifle and I just want to be able to pull the rifle out of its case and shoot without having to attach anything. These thicker Pelican case fits the rifle with the bipod attached.

I'll tell you though that the foam inside is a huge pain in the ass to cut. Initially, I was planning to really OCD on it and make it as clean as I could but I soon found out just how difficult it is to cut cleanly. It's ok though, at least it's still functional.
