Hi all,

I bought this new in the mid 90's and set it up as you see in the photos. It's a great shooter and has helped keep the varmints at bay. I also have the soft case that came with it and might have a manual somewhere.

My question is can anyone give me an idea as to its value? And also where might be a good place to sell it?

It has been well used and well cared for and is still sending .20 cal pellets downrange with authority. I am trying to get in touch with ANYONE at Beeman in Huntington Beach about getting a tune up but just leaving a voicemail is a challenge, and I have yet to hear back.

So what is the obsession with Red Loctite on Airguns. LOL Really???? It's an Air Gun

I own machine guns(M16, M11, MP5's etc) and suppressors and don't red loctite anything ever guns don't need red loctite not even SMG's (Sub Machine Guns) I have used FLEXBAR ROCKSETT to mount a QD Mount that I know I'm not ever taking off. That's a different purpose.

So I get some airguns from FX have about five now with the Donny FL cans and they freggen red locktite the cans on. What idiots.

AOA did this to my LCS SK-19 once and I called and chewed them out. I don't use that ugly stock can that comes on the LCS SK-19 now I have to get my torch to remove it. LOL

If they want to loctite stuff on stick with Blue...

I have my Alpha Wolf mounted on a tripod using a pic to Arca adapter. What I find is that when I am aiming it seems to bounce around a little bit. My thought is that the wood stock has a little bit of give on the part extending out under the tank creating a bit of springiness.

What I am thinking is to remove the stock, install a grip and a K&L Extended Trigger Guard with the ARCA rail.

Does anyone have this setup with the Delta or Alpha Wolf? Is it really steady or does the K&L rail have some give to it as well?

Regarding the grip - is it a standard AR grip? Regular top or flat top grip?

I've never been happy about the charging process for the Red Wolf. I hate disconnecting the flimsy little connector each time. I'm also not thrilled with the battery configuration itself.
My particular gun had a GCU 1 in it and when I upgraded to the Heliboard I was able to move up to a 11.1v battery from the factory 7.4.v. I found a round 11.1v battery that was just exactly the proper diameter and length to fit the cavity in the stock. The new battery also has a 2000mah capacity which is double the factory unit.

Next I turned my attention to the connection. I chose to install a small 4 pole magnetic connection. It is now flush mounted on the bottom of the plastic grip allowing the gun to be charged with an external connector, never again needing to open the compartment or fiddle with the small feeble connector. I made a short adapter to fit the factory charger and all is well.

The battery and short cables were all found on amazon. The magnetic connections were on Alibaba, but can probably be found at a local electronics store if you have one handy.

So this is a ground squirrel that I have been calling SquirrelZilla for a few months now. He lives in my neighbors yard and never comes into mine, so I just leave him alone. Doesn't look like much in the pics because I took them at 35 yards with my phone but trust me, this squirrel has to be close to 10lbs. He's literally twice the size of the one I posted pics of last week and even that one was pretty good size and this guy dwarfs that one.
If he moves into my yard I may not shoot him because I kind of like him and respect him. He's old and big and idk, I guess he'd have to start tearing stuff up real bad. But it's almost like he knows he's safe as long as he doesn't come into my yard. I watch him out of my scope everyday and he just stands tall watching me back lol.

Recently I heard an interview with a maternity ward nurse. Where she said that most of the time when the babies “are” cute. They say “what a cute baby”. But when the babies “aren’t” cute? They say “oh, she/he looks just like you!” (the parents). This made me chuckle, well really LOL. I don’t know anyone who would call a baby ugly to a parents face. In the context of airguns we know what can happen if you even mildly criticized someone’s rig. Or don’t like some attribute and voice it. Some shooters take personal offense, like you called their babies ugly. And it might start a negative “back and forth”. But rigs aren’t babies and we ought to be able to say if we find a rig or gun to be unappealing for whatever reasons. Most shooters will adapt somewhat to “their” chosen platforms. So in the end, for me, as it applies to PCPs? All personal preferences are valid, even those based on a perception.

How did you get your .30cal to be "backyard quiet"?

I really would like to know what I can expect from a .30cal noisewise — so far I only meddled with .177 and .22 (call me peashooter, I deserve it).

To understand you correctly, I'd need a few specs from your .30cal "backyard quiet" setup, if you don't mind.

well, that's quite different story than
▪ if you got it to shoot quietly a 34gr at 800fps from a 500mm barrel without silencer.)

Just thought I would post up a cpl pics of a Sheridan, Silver Streak for any of you Sheridan fans.
I acquired this from the wife of a friend of mine that pasted away a few months back.
I remember this rifle sitting in the shop for the last 20yrs just collecting dust (while we shot his 392) since it didn't work.
Once I picked it up, figured out what it was, I had to see if I could rebuild it.
Near as I can figure, its a 1954-1957 Sheridan Silver Streak that is actually in very good condition.
I ended up converting to an adjustable pump rod, machined a new multi ported exhaust valve and replaced the typical worn parts.
I think the only thing it is missing is the pad that snaps onto the top of the barrel to grab when pumping up (if these early ones even came with them).
It now pumps up, holds air and shoots really well with the few old Sheridan pellets I found. It turned out so well I ended up refinishing the stock set as well.

What are the recommendations for keeping a gun cocked?
Sometimes while waiting for game I will have the gun cocked. Not sure the length of time has any affect on the air / accuracy / rings /etc. advice?

I just acquired this tank and was wondering what I need to get it up and running. Not sure how to fill.

I'm not only new to hunting, or more accurately pesting, I'm new to guns in general.

Been blasting lead at my 50 yard target as fast as I can. I have a great space where I can set up targets at a variety of distances from say 10 to 75 yards.

...I got me a nuisance which I'm motivated to eliminate. Ready to trudge right out there and set up for the night. But, it occurs to me I ain't got the foggiest clue about shooting a target at a distance I'm not "set up" to shoot at.

What are some good strategies, tips, and considerations for going after live game at night? Particularly in regards to using a regular scope and a red/green light. (I don't have night vision.)

This particular nuisance will likely be < 30 yard shot, in bushes, and in and around water. Follow up shots are unlikely.

I’ve always heard that the Diabolo pellet is most accurate in the 850-900 fps range. What is your experience with JSB King Heavy .25 caliber 33.95 grain or FX 34 grain Diabolo pellets? Best fps for accuracy? I’m at 869 fps average and getting good results but want to hear from others about their results.

I'm currently shooting a .22 Lelya 2.0. Love the gun, and it's main purpose is as a carry along for squirrel hunting while bowhunting for deer. As a secondary, I do small game hunt with that specific purpose as well. The gun works great.

Having said that, I really like the idea of the Leshiy 2 for semiauto, and folding into a backpack.

Are there any comparable guns in terms of packability/accuracy combination of the Leshiy? Semi a plus, but not required.

Recently purchased a package and it came with this ATN Night Vision optic. Confirmed, it’s a 4K Pro 5-20 has range finding option, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, It’s a really nice and solid platform. Haven’t scrutinized everything possible, but It’s excellent condition-the enclosure, lenses, buttons, battery retaining charge, is looking phenomenal. The illuminators are in great working condition. Scope needs a SW update which I can do, it’ll just take me an extra day bc I only have a Mac and would need to borrow a friend’s PC. I didn’t have a need for NV. This would mean that a .25 Cal 29 grain NSA slug at 850 fps (45 fpe) would be more lethal that what I would have supposed for coyote size hunting.

I finally recorded a video comparing the damage of coyote skulls from a pellet and a slug. Both coyotes were shot in the same farm at 70 yards, a year apart.
The first coyote was shot with my 500mm Crown with the AA18gr pellet at 32ft.lb whereas the second coyote was shot with my 600mm Impact with the H&N 23gr slug at 45ft.lb. The shot placement for both was on the left temple.

I never shot any coyotes before so my first coyote was a completely new and exciting experience to me. I didn't know what to expect or whether 32 ft.lb was enough to kill one. Apparently it was enough as I learned the coyote's skull is not very thick. I have since shot two more coyotes using my Impact and the 23gr H&N slugs, an ammo that I trust and prefer for coyote hunt.

Have a watch and see the damage difference in the skull fracture and penetration.
