M3 Tungsten hammer?

Is this a tungsten hammer weight (see picture). Probably seems like an odd question, like I should know, but there are a couple reason I am asking and don’t know.
1. I didn’t order tungsten hammer weight. I ordered a slug power kit and just received it but opted not to get the hammer weight. If I remember correctly the reason I decided not to get the weight is that I have a 600mm barrel, and I believe I was told that with the 600mm barrel the hammer weight would leave the valve open to long and dump air out after the slug exited. Does this sound correct? When I received the slug power kit it had this part in it, but I don’t see that part in any pictures of the slug power kit.
2. The second reason that I am not sure that this is a hammer weight is that it mostly looks like the pictures of the hammer weight, but it is tapered at the end and none of the pictures I see of the hammer weight are tapered like that.
It does feel quite heavy for such a small part.
Two more questions.
It has been a while, but I think I remember reading that if you have the M3 you should not install the rubber ball, is that correct?
And in the Earnest Rowe video on installing the slug power kit he says it comes with a couple spacers to add tension to the hammer spring. Mine did not have those spacers am I missing something or has there been a change since that video was made?

Thanks for any help.

Got that little stinker

For many mornings, we had "the odor", so we knew we had a skunk hanging around. Well, it got bold today and started nibbling on the bird feeder spillage in plain sight.
When he saw us, he raised his tail, then he got comfortable once his message was made known.

Well, at an easy 20 yards, FX Impact .30 made its message known! No spray!!!

Last question on hand pumping

Lets say I buy the Hatsan Blitz at .30cal... And lets say that the Blitz needs aprox 300 pumps to go from 120 bar to 250... A filled Blitz at .30 will give 100 shots filled to 250bar... So if I just want to shoot 10 or 20 pellets only... I would have to pump ±30 times for 10 and ±60 for 20 from 120bar? Or because it is low pressure it gives less shots per pump meaning I would need more pumps for these 10 or 20 shots? Thank you

I Think I Found My M3’s Sweet Spot

Tune tune tune - tweak tweak tweak. We all know every pcp is different. I like my M3 because I am a tinkerer and shoot spinners and holes in paper. I shoot into a safe area behind my workshop so I can sit in an air conditioned or heated area, enjoy my favorite beverage and savor being retired. Here’s my latest tune which I am happy with. Photos below show 1/4” groups at 65 yards. I don’t know how to calculate MOA but I think this is sub MOA. I hope you are all enjoying airguns and this group as much as I am!

WFTF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS EQUIPMENT STATISTICS 2022 ITALY

Nation,

Here are the statistics for equipment that was used in the WFTF World Championships in Italy 2022. This is a Facebook link, if anyone knows how to post this image(s) for those who do not have or wish to use FB, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a tech guy, so I might need a little assistance with this one. There is no individual equipment breakdowns, but it's something......

taipan vet 177 standard

thought this was damn good for 100 shots no cherry picked 10 shot string tuned by me accurate as any 177 can be 8.44 shoot really well at 50 yards probably could lower the reg a bit as when it came off the reg fps raised some. shot id say 20 shots out of the same 240bar fill before i settled on my speeds id say i can shoot 120-130- shots per fill tried from 870 to where its at and these speeds the gun likes try some 10.34 today if body lets me

Less than lethal?

I have been lurking around this forum for a while but I cannot seem to find the information I am looking for. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

I live out in a rural area and have chickens in a coop/run. The problem comes when the neighbors (using the term loosely) let their dogs run around and they are tearing up my coop and other things. I would like to purchase a PCP pistol or rifle with the option to sting the dogs without wounding or killing them. I am not sure if it is possible but would like to be able to hunt/kill other animals like coyotes as well. I will need to be shooting from my back deck roughly 20-30 yards sometimes closer. I have considered using felt cleaning pellets in a high power pcp but worry about accuracy. Again any advice would be appreciate. Thank you all in advance. If this is not the correct forum please let me know and or move it. Again thank you!

How many are in your "collection" and when do you decide to stop?

I constantly find myself looking at this airgun and that airgun.... I always wonder why

I've got the perfect sub 60 yard plinker and ratter which is my .177 compact impact

I've got the ever reliable .22 compact taipan that is for rabbits, pigeons, plinking

And I've got my .22 Impact MK2 slug gun hitting wiffle balls with ease at 265 yards shooting 30.5 zan at 1045 fps.

The impact is topped with a sightmark wraith 4k mini, The taipan is soon to be topped with the same (MAYBE), and the slug gun is topped with an ATN w/ABL so all three will be day and night capable (although I do really miss my regular high quality glass).

With that said I keep looking at more, not that im not happy with what I have , I FINALLY am happy with what I have. Why do we do this? I am thinking if I build a dedicated bench gun thats "blinged" out and topped with nice optics that might do it for me as my .22 slug gun I plan on using over the winter for some larger pests.

Why do you guys keep looking? why have you guys stopped looking? If you were to build a long range bench gun that wasn't an impact , what would you build? To me its a shame the Evols won't shoot slugs because thats where I'd head.... I dno, just some morning thoughts from an Airgunner before the start of his weekend gets here.

Air Arms TX200 MKIII

I am completely new to air guns other than I had a Crossman CO2 rifle as a kid.

I am new to this forum and just signed up.

I am an avid handgun collector and have shot those competition in the past, have my CCW etc.

I was considering the cheaper Gamo and Crosman rifles but every time I scrimp I am sorry later….

After a lot of research, I have decided I want to buy an Air Arms TX200 MKIII. It will be used for mostly target and some pest control problems I am having now. My wife is at her wits end right now.

Here is my issue- I am left handed but somewhat ambidextrous as well. I usually shoot left handed, golf right handed, use tools left handed and write left handed. You get the idea…..

All the Air Arms LH stock TX200’s seem to be on long back order for 3 months or so, but I can order a .177 RH walnut stock rifle now.

I see the locking mechanism for the cocking under lever as well as breech opening are on the right side on the RH version and the LH side on the LH version. I do see stocks can be ordered for around $400 from air arms and they list a TX200 LH walnut LH stock for TX200 rilfles. I am not concerned about the breech and lock on the RH side if I order and retrofit a LH stock. I am thinking I can use or modify the LH stock to work on a RH gun later…..some minor wood carving to clear the locking mechanism would be required unless this LH stock that can be ordered separate is already designed to be used on LH and RH breech rifles.

I could order a gun tomorrow RH and shoot right handed for now for my pest needs and place a special stock order for several months out. That way I would end up with both LH and RH options for my TX200.

Anyone with insight on this mod is appreciated. I would end up with two stocks this way…..

Squirrels Galore! Exit wound gore alert!

The squirrels have just overrun the creek bottoms, deadfalls, and especially barn foundations this year. I've been averaging @ 10 a week just plinking within 100 yards of the house since the beginning of June. Combined with a little Euro dove action it makes for a nice break when I get home from work.

I included a pic that I took of a catastrophic exit wound on a Euro dove. I center punched it through the chest and the exit hole was just...well, the picture says it all. Most of the time I avoid hitting the breasts if I can so I can save the meat, but this one got fed to a skinny barn cat. I don't know if that NSA 26.8 gr. (.25 cal of course) from the FX MKII tumbled or what but DAMN! I've been saving up my dove breasts to make sausages.

Maverick got its first trash panda

Maverick in 22 caliber with 600mm barrel. FX Hybrid slug at 1020fps right between the eyes at 33yds. Shout out to dougger for the fantastic rifle.

Picked up a cheap wireless motion detector from harbor freight earlier that day. Got woken up at 1am to it beeping like crazy, at 1:05am I had a dead coon. My guess is there will be more where he came from, but I'll be ready.

FX M3..... Please share your honest opinion about it.

Does it cause problems?

Is it reliable?

Do you consider it long lasting?

Is it fragil for hunting adventures?

Is it comfortable to shoulder?

Is it practical and work Well the change of calibres?

Is it easy to change the setting for hunting and bench rest and when changing calibres?

Once you own it, is it time demanding in order to make it shot as you want?

Once you own it, does it make you left your other PCP's forgotten or it does not becomes a favorite?

I will appreciate your experience with this rifle.
