Got the P-17 sighted in

Well, I was ticked because of my mishap yesterday with my circular saw, so I just setup some 2x8s and three pieces of plywood in the garage to plink at. Tacked the first target up and started sighting in. I'm not really sure what range I should be shooting the P-17, but I started sighting in at about 10' or 11'. With no true backstop in place, I wanted to be certain I didn't shoot up the storage totes behind the wood. LOL! Once I was satisfied I had it pretty well zeroed, I moved back to 17'. That should be pretty close to a 5 meter range. I ended up putting 50 to 60 rounds through it. My last 5 were at a fresh target to see how close I was to being zeroed. I was using a Short Range Sight In target I downloaded off the 'Net and printed out. Of the 5 rounds I fired at the fresh target, I had 4 in the red and one that I'm positive I flinched on. That's a problem I have to work on. I have nerve damage that causes some loss of feeling and strength in my right arm/hand. It also causes a flinch that happens when I try to do tedious stuff. If I get really relaxed, it won't twitch on me, but I know I tensed up on the last shot I fired and I did flinch. So, throw that one round out and I had 4 in the red. Not too bad for this gun and a quickly thrown together type of shooting range in my garage. I definitively have to figure out a better situation to shoot in the garage.

As for the P-17, what a blast! It's a real pleasure shooting that thing. I took some of you guys' suggestions and used a rag to close the thing. I also quickly got into the habit of placing the gun on my thigh when I closed it up. Between those two things, it isn't too awfully bad to load it and cock it. Yes, the trigger seems to be very nice for a $35 gun. I can say that for sure.

I did run into one little glitch and I know how to resolve it. After the first 6 or 8 shots fired, I started having trouble getting the pellet into the barrel. It was as if the skirt was too big. It didn't want to slide in place very easily. I had to really push to get the pellet in. I switched to the pointed pellets and didn't have the same problem. Right now all I have is a cheap sampler pack of Crosman pellets. It has flat, pointed, and hollow points in it. It's not even Premier pellets. I got them given to me with the 1377 I got. I expect if I order some better pellets I won't have the same problem.

But, the gun performed perfectly and I got to spend a little fun time with no cell phones and nobody around to bother me. A nice way to kill a little time on a rainy day!

NLA SPF! Left handed FWB300s imported by Beeman

SPF!! this is a left hand FWB300s that was imported by Beeman (San Rafael address). Excellent working condition, shoots and functions as it should. I had a scope mounted on it and was using it for indoor 50ft target shooting. Using 7.33 JSB RS pellets it is super accurate. Averages 643 fps. It started to drizzle as I took photos so there are a few water droplets. Price is $550 shipped OBO to the lower 48. Payment by USPS money order or cashier's check. Drop me a PM if you are interested of have more questions. If you want me to call/text include your cell number.

Have any of you created a zombie?

So I get this certain species of ground bird in my yard that likes to destroy my Bonsai tree's and I eliminate them on the spot. I heard a pair of them out back this morning so I went outside with my little bluetooth speaker and played a few calls and the male came in. I pointed my new FX Impact M3 22 cal Compact at him, aligned my crosshairs, squeezed the trigger, and BAM, hit him dead in the chest with a 15gr Hades! A poof of feathers the size of my fist came off of him upon impact but the little sucker didn't die. He calmly hopped to a lower branch and started singing again. So I hit him again right in the chest with the same result and man, still not dead. I repeated 2 more times with the same result before he finally went to the ground but wasn't dead. This little dude was hopping around on the ground after being hit 4 times in the chest with Hades out of my M3 as was still alive. I walked over to him, he looked me dead in the eye, I looked at him back, put the rifle right up to his head and that was that.
Have any of you dealt with a zombie pest before lol? I got his little girlfriend a couple hours later and 1 shot in the chest was all it took.

NLA SPF— MAC1 USFT Hunter .177

Sold Pending Funds! I really, really hate to sell this but I have had some life issues come up. What makes it worse is that I just got it back from having Tim McMurray upgrade it. Tim completely went through the rifle, tuned it, rebuilt the regulator and added a second sequential regulator! Standard deviation is only 3.6 FPS! This rifle is currently set up for light varmint class (or WFTF field target), but is adjustable and can also shoot heavy varmint. The barrel is a brand new Lothar/Walther slow twist poly and it is amazingly accurate with 8.4gr JSB pellets and averages 778 fps. Price is $2400 shipped OBO to the lower 48. Scope, rings and bubble level are not included. Payment by USPS money order or cashier's check. Drop me a PM if you are interested of have more questions. Mystery HW100 origin

I recently purchased this HW100 from a collector. Has seen very minimal use. It's serial number shows it to be made between 2012-2013. What sold me was the uniqueness of the stock. That's where my question comes in. I have another HW100 in walnut. I can only find that these were offered in walnut or synthetic, yet this one is in tiger maple !! Putting it side by side with the walnut stock, it's is identical! All the cutouts, fingertip reliefs in the forest oak, every notch, everything. I can't find ANY name on it to indicate aftermarket or OEM. Seller is getting up in years, and memory fails him. He thought it may have been a limited edition that was won in a contest back then? It is SUPER nice, but it's history evades me. Any help or ideas ?? I have NEVER seen another like it... thanks.

NLA Krait L .177

Just got this in and I’m not impressed with the smoothness of the pellet loading so I’ll keep my dreamline. Comes with extra magazine as only one was supplied, side magazine holder and Arca rail. Settings are as the gun came. $1550 shipped. Came from overseas. Not interested in trades. Also there is no plug for the fill port unless it is loose in the case somewhere.

New skins on the Concept XR!

Figured I'd show some love to my Concept XR 22 cal. Been wanting to dress it up for a while and finally got the chance yesterday. Vinyl is Mossy Oak Terra and the shroud and grip is plasti dip camo tan. Didn't realize how much the vinyl has a green tint to it compared to the dip. I may change the dip to the dark green??? Let me know what you guys think! Would also like to see what others have done to there Concept XR's as well...

Jean Marck No2 Demi-Tier

This is an oldie probably made around 1900 plus or minus 20 years. It was made in Belgium by Jean Marck a family business.
It’s gem type which where very common in that period. The Demi-Tier which I think translates to half shot was a target special, featuring adjustable sights and the target stock.

Gems were sized 1 to 5 and got bigger and more powerful as you go up in numbers. This is a number 2, quite small and all Demi-Tier’s were .177

The gun was found by a dealer who thought he was receiving only Belgium shotguns from the same period from a deceased estate.

It would have been used for indoor shooting shooting competitions and Bell target.
It’s a lovely little gun to shoot and accurate!

FOUND Want to Trade (or sell) - Benji Akela .177

I was going to keep this as a back up gun to my TalonP just because of how it looks, but it is just too different of a gun to shoot.

Would like to work a trade on either another TalonP or a Hw50S or 30s.

Haven't done much to it (other then the stock finishing) I did cut the spring back to get a much better shot string. Right now it's set as follows:

TP full open - 13.4 JSB - 880fps
TP 3/4 - 10.5's at 925fps

Has 3 mags and the Buckrail Scope Rail/Shroud bracket.

Message me if you have a trade, or make an offer to buy. Depending on the deal the scope could be included.

1st Competition

About 2 years ago (maybe a bit more) I shot in my 1st & only competition in Temecula. I shot a respectable 247 considering I was using a gun that I'd never shot before (Centercut's .22 Streamline) & came into my hands 10 min before we started shooting! Also there that day was Pesty3782 (Tony P.) & his wife Barb (5Pwr), shooting at her 1st ever competition. I had fun but it just didn't "call" to me. Last night I got a text from Tony saying Barb took SECOND in Sportsman's class at EBR!!! WAY TO GO BARB!!! I'm blown away & proud of Barb & Tony's commitment to & progress in FT shooting. Great people to have gotten to know & hunt/hang with. I do feel a sense of pride in THEIR accomplishments (Tony placed 8th in that same category) & I'm so happy for them both!!! Congrats my friends!!!
