I just bought a new BRK Ghost 22 cal HP from AOA and I had them put one of the new 1-17 twist slug barrels on it.
I have a BRK Ghost 22 cal HP that has the 23in. barrel on it that shoots the 23.39 JSB redesigned shallows extremely well.
I've always wanted a dedicated slug shooter and a dedicated pellet shooter as well and it looks like I might get what I have been looking for.
Any suggestions on which slugs I should try?....I already have some Hybrids and Howlers on hand. What I mostly shoot is Starlings, Crows, Pigeons,
Groundhogs and Gray squirrels.

I just got a used altaros reg here local and the regulating screw is bottomed out, ( all the way in clockwise) it showed 100 bar when I changed it to 150 bar my fps was only around 450fps. My question is what is the factory setting for the screw? It seems it shouldn't be bottomed out like that to begin with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Made a brake for the HW30 I’m putting together. Turned it on the lathe and set it up on the mill with a spin indexer to drill 20 holes in it. Looks cool. I guess. Gave it a simulated target crown.
I think I need a black pistol grip cap? I decided on a recoil pad. Brown and black 1/2” thick. No white spacers on this.

When running for an extended time is it ok to do a quick moisture purge by opening the bleed valve and then closing or is that equivalent to running under a quick heavy load of back pressure?

The reason I ask is that I have tried FX hybirds, Zan, Patriot, and NSA slugs, all right around 50 grain, (out of an FX Dynamic 30 cal) and none of them shoots well. I finally broke down and bought a chronograph, and much to my surprise, I found it was only shooting at 750 fps, which is slow even for pellets. I cranked up my regulator from 120 bar to 150 bar and maxed out the hammer spring and I am only seeing about 890 fps, while the point of impact is all over the place (like 6"+ groups at 50 yards)

I am guessing the slugs need more speed in order to shoot accurately, but at 150 bar on the regulator I am only getting two magazines per fill, so if I give it more regulator, I am going to have to fill it for every magazine, which will be a huge pain ... but oh well, if that's what it takes to shoot accurately.

The skunk comes by quite often and cleans out my coon feeder. So I made the spout 30 mm longer hopefully that stops it. However today the skunk came by and got some food out but I don't think he cleaned it out. Hard for it to reach that far down. I refrain from shooting it because I don't want to stink up my backyard if I don't make a good shot or just unlucky.

Wanted a longer barrel but not a longer OAL and to keep it looking original. 16" barrel. It's one of the rarer ones in .25cal shooting 26gr hades at 860-880fps. No choke so 25gr or so slugs also shoot pretty well. Only a magazine (10 shots a fill if I max out at 55fpe) I prefer to get more shots so I have it down around 45fpe so I can get a few mags a fill. Not bad for a 24" overall length.

Air Arms prosport in walnut .177, purchased new 11/23. I don't see any marks on it, the bluing is deep and practically flawless. Favorite pellet is QYS domed 8.48, but will shoot several others pretty well. Last crony average with the QYS was
875 fps.
I have been through the rifle completely, cleaned polished, etc. Custom delrin guides on factory spring. Trigger is tuned and has a Rowan set back trigger blade. Front of compression tube is blued, the cocking handle has been blackened. The 4 stock screws are polished and blued, the safety is blued, although it shows some wear now. There is a blued stop pin hole reducer in the middle hole, and can be moved to which ever hole you like. The stock has 6 coats of pure tung oil on it. I have taken very good care of this rifle, selling it because it sits more than I shoot it. There is a post on AGN of the stuff I did when I tuned it.

Rifle and like new Hawke Airmax 2-7X32 along with owners manual and factory trigger blade and spring guides included $750 plus $50 for UPS insured and tracked shipping. No trades.

Hey all. So I have a new to me Notos bottle build. Only had it for about 2 months. It was purchased from a forum member who got it off another forum member if I remember correctly.

I'm having a big issue with the bolt probe or pellet probe, not sure which term is correct. It's not to the typical Notos magazine issue, I have a lot of different Notos mags from aftermarket companies and all have the same issue. It even messed up one of my Maple mags in the process, which was also partly my fault for forcing the cocking level because the pellet was so mangled I couldn't push it back through the barrel to remove the magazine. The probe is extremely loose and moves around until it engages the tapered thicker end, then it sits solid. It doesn't the same thing with a single shot tray when loading. Catches the pellet it a weird angle and lowers the head of the pellets and raises the skirt while going into the chamber. You still have to force the pellet and deform it using the single shot tray, also have more than one single shot tray and happens with both. If I load a single pellet without a tray, which takes forever with my fat fingers and scope setup, the gun shoots great.

My question is does anyone know of a fix for this? Can the probe be tightened back into alignment or does it need to be replaced? Is it a thing to replace? I've looked and haven't found anything for a replacement probe online. Did a search here and didn't see anything on the issue, although I may be searching the wrong terminology.

Hoping to get this figured out so I can have the motivation to track down the slow leak it's had since arriving. Don't really have much motivation to fix it when it takes 10 minutes, definitely exaggerating, to load a single pellet. I've attached some videos to better describe the issue. Any help of insight would be greatly appreciated.

This a Weihrauch HW77 that was imported by Beeman in the 80’s. This rifle is a .177 and was manufactured in 1986/1987. Features the original smoother shooting 25mm piston, instead of the newer 26mm. I have been reading the three volumes of Bryan Litz’s Applied Ballistics and feel like I just discovered a treasure trove of information. I am interested particularly in the effect of “out of roundness” on dispersion at longer shooting distances. Does anyone publish the “tir” (Total Indicated Out-of-Roundness) of their pellets or slugs? This might be an issue with higher twist rates that otherwise might have some advantages…

I have had a CS4 for about a year and it has worked great, about 12 hrs on it. A month or so back I was filling a few guns and after the first one ( that filled fine ) I started another and everything looked and sounded fine but there was no pressure building? After turning it off and on several times it started building pressure fine? So now this has happened about 4 times. Sometimes just trying to fill a gun and sometimes trying to fill a second? Anyone experienced anything like this?

Hi everyone. I have no experience with RAW rifles, but I can’t help tinkering with them to try to tune them to my liking. I come from the FX world and I’ve never had any issues removing the bottle. Today I removed the bottle from my RAW HM1000x and was surprised by a small burst and release of air. I checked the bottle’s O-ring and it looked fine.

When I moved the gauge–fill port bracket, two parts fell out (a spring and a piston with an O-ring), but I don’t know where they came from (photos attached)... Do they belong to the compartment where the bottle screws in, or to the quick-fill port? And in what position should they be installed?

Hi all. I have an AGN sight mark pro 4k 5x20. Not sure if it’s me or the scope. Shooting during the day I have zero issues on targets. At night when I’m setting I am not as accurate. It’s the same distance, slugs and reg pressure but I’m not getting as many kills as I would think. Just wondering if there might be a POI shift between day and night or is it the shooter?

Unfortunately the weather forecast was all over the board for Saturdays match, but 13 brave souls came out to participate. Got to the range at 7am, held off on setting up the practice range because it started raining by 7:30. People started rolling in around 8 onwards as it continued to rain till 9:45. Set up the practice range for a quick sight in, started the match at 10:15, mind you the winds were a constant 20 mph gusting to 30. Unfortunately we had continuous storms coming in from the southwest all morning. We shot till 12 rain free till a cold line and the next round of horizontal rain came in, people ran to their cars and the storage shed till 12:30 to finish the last 1 or 2 lanes. The one good thing was it was 65 to 70 degrees all day, so at least it was warm. I want to give a special shout out to Ted Andro who drove in from Ohio, under less than ideal conditions.
