AirMaks Arms  NEW ORION KRAIT mags

I had the pleasure to finally meet @orion earlier this week. We aren't that far form each other, lives are just too busy lol.

I sent him my krait l 177 to make mags and he more than happily obliged. These are super smooth and much easier to load. They hold 17rd rather than the oem 18, but I'll take the ease of loading over the loss of 1 shot.

This design has a solid snap to it when you insert it into the mag, so you know it's in secure. They work very well in the mag holder and cycle beautifuly.

Edit* Added pic of mag opened, it's magnetic lid per usual!

$1500 Scope Choices

Certainly I can do a google and get all sorts of ads, but I just want to get some input from actual shooters. I'm looking to put a new scope on a 22cal FX King. The gun is used mostly for ground squirrel shooting. What would you personally consider in the $1500( + or - $200) with what reticle and power range? I am currently using a
Meopta Optika 5 4-20x44, but I am not happy with the optics. I don't really care too much where it is made as long as it is made right from the gitgo.

  • Question
AEA  Megalodon or MegaloDON'T ?

i have a hard time deciding if i shall get a MEG .50cal or not. i really like the concept, but there are a bunch of issues (and experiences of others), that seem to make the investment a silly idea. then again, usually people chime in with rather ok experiences and praise.

15" or 22"? both very loud, i assume.

or rather a HP MAX .50cal and either buy or 3D print a pump-action kit and get a suitable moderator for the same or less money?

what do you all think on the matter?

ps: the purpose is just enjoying powerful shots in a basic target shooting scenario, btw.
pps: .50cal because i have a slug mold for that caliber already,

Which Chronograph ????

Looking to buy my first chronograph and am completely confused as to what to buy. My initial use will be a check the velocity of my air guns and powder burners. My criteria are: reliable, easy to setup and use, accurate, and repeatable recording of shots. Price is flexible, up to and including a Garmin. I’d appreciate your suggestions. Tom

JSB KO 20.83gr Slugs another favorite!

From top to bottom.

JSB KO .216 20.83gr 1020fps

HN HP2 .218 25gr 923fps

VK 26gr .218 26gr 909fps (small hp)

3 types of slugs shot into a bucket of water 3.5ft away.

I'm out of the VK .217 which have the XLHP to show up, they are usually my favorite slugs for pesting as they work as well as the HN HP2 and the new JSB KO.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Cherry FX Maverick with extras

Hey guys, it's been a while...

I'm selling my low shot count Maverick. This gun only has 200-300 shots on it, because it was essentially a backup gun for me. It is in perfect working order with no leaks or problems. This is a gun you can take out of the box and start shooting immediately.

It is currently tuned for 34 grain Griffin HPBT slugs at 950-960 fps on PW setting 6, and 990-1000 fps on PW setting 7. It comes with a lot of extras, and ammo(listed below). It is a great shooter, and popping cans at 200+ yards is a casual event with it's current tune. It will also drop critters big and small with that tune :D

Gun in current form(installed and sold with) :
-700mm slug liner with carbon sleeve epoxied in place
-Huma Extra High Pressure regulators
-Tungsten Hammer Weight
-Upgraded Hammer Spring
-Spacer Tensioned Shroud
-Modified Huma Barrel Port and Pin Probe
-Saber Tactical Buttstock
-Daniel Defense Grip
-580cc 300BAR bottle(camo wrap is vinyl and can be removed)
-Eagle Vision Magazine and Standard magazine(.22)
-Extended Picatinny Rail using Yankee Hill Machine parts
-STO Falx High Flow Silencer(awesome can good all the way to high power .30)
-I could be forgetting something else, haha.

Extras that also come with it:
-2 never used FX regulators
-.22 standard liner and probe
-.22 standard barrel port
-580cc 250BAR bottle(needs new o-ring for valve)
-Standard hammer weight, and other hammer weights
-Extra Cocking rod and a few other miscellaneous parts that probably forgot about
-A few hundred extra slugs in various weights, included the ones it is currently tuned for(all in .218 this gun likes).

I'm asking $1200 plus shipping(will ship UPS). The price DOES NOT include the scope, rings, or bipod.

I can include the following for a bit more, and I'll entertain any reasonable offer:
-Eagle Vision Adjustable 34mm rings
-Mediocre Carbon Bipod
-.30 slug liner/shroud with standard probe(full caliber change kit), and magazine, Huma high flow barrel port
-.30 standard barrel port(s)
-.30 slugs in various weights

I think that's about it. Feel free to message me with any questions!

Vector Optics Veyron 4-16

I got the V-V 4-16 the other day..

It passes the 109 yard test I use out my back door where there is a sign with small lettering.
If I can read it easily and clearly at max power, it's a keeper.

I have a few scopes in my closet that won't pass the test.
It's at a minimum as clear as the Vortex Venom 3-15 which I also consider pretty clear glass.
Either I'm not as picky as some, or it's a good solid scope with a very bright and clear image.
I'm glad at this this V-V 4-16 is good as I had read that some have had issues.

Contemplating Upgrading my SCBA Tank Valve. Suggestions?

I’ve got some SCBA tanks and I’d like to try a new valve where I have better control over the flow of fill pressure. So far I have only used Air Venturi Jubilee valves. I have a DIN300 fill set on my compressor, so getting an Omega HP3 would require that I hit base an addition fill set. Does anyone have any other options I should be looking at? I haven’t read a lot of favorable things about the Saber Tactical valves. The aftermarket valves I’m considering are:

Joe B’s TJ3 valve

N/A  ORION RAW 15mm Older Breech Magazines

Someone a little while ago was asking about magazines for the older RAW smaller 15mm breech PCP's and Orion had made the newer larger RAW 17mm Magazines and he wanted to know if the older magazines were the same except for thickness. I PM'd him saying I believe they were and could send him one of my OEM magazines for him to check out but he also thought they were the same besides the thickness. He then asked if I would be interested in being a beta tester for one and I said yes of course! So yesterday I received one in the mail of the color I chose (blue) and the build quality is like all his other magazines, exceptional! It holds 15 projectiles, has a magnetic cover that you remove then turn the inside carousel counter clockwise if I remember correctly, holding it there as the spring tension increased then you load the first projectile head first into the first opening (I put a finger in front of the first opening somthe projectile won't fall out but it's not necessary if you let the carousel turn after inserting it) then one can drop each subsequent projectile into each remaining holder hole and you can then let go of the carousel as the first projectile holds the carousel in place, they load easily and smoothly without any wobble and then place the magnetic cover back on. He also told me I needed to insert and reinsert the magazine into the breech a few times to "break in" as he designed it to be "snug" and just like he said it took about 5 insertions before the magazine fully seated and "clicked" into place. The magazine performed flawlessly while shooting, I tried both pellets and slugs and both worked smoothly and effortlessly with no change in POI when using my single shot loader. Orion, I want to thank for for building such quality magazines for the Airgun community and for choosing me me to test this magazine! This 15mm RAW magazine holds 3 more projectiles than the OEM versions and to me easier to load plus you have a choice of different colors so you can load one magazine of a certain color with pellets and a different color mag with slugs when you are shooting so one can identify which ammo they want to shoot more easily than same color mags. Here are some photos.....

Pellet Preparation

Pellets can be,
Washed and dried
Sorted visually
Sorted by weight
Sort by head size
Resized for head and skirt
Rolled on a incline
Lubricated

As far as I know, all of these are acceptable for completion.
Is there any official limit to allowed pellet preparation?

For example can you,
Paint pellets
Powder coat pellets
Etc.

light weight

Just wanted to show ya'll my bipod for my Wildcat. I seen it on a video from Matt Dubber. Its made of carbon fiber and other materials, extremely light in weight, has great features like cant and swivel is magnetic so easy to add or remove, can be carried in your pocket while woods walking and has a sling mount hole. for a quick detach sling mount. It also has rubber covered feet with a steel spike inside and is adjustable tension on the cant. Price wasn't bad as I remember for a bipod.
