PCP Rifle  SOLD AEA HP Max .35 cal w/ IA-1350 Moderator, 0.36L CF Tank, 2400 PSI regulator, & 500ish pellets

This was my pesting work horse for about 2 years. We've been on quite the journey together, but I'd like to make room for other projects.

$500 shipped to CONUS

AEA HP Max .35 cal
3.6L Alsafe CF tank (July 2022 mfg date)
AEA M18x1.5mm bottle adapter
M18x1.5mm 2400 PSI output regulator
DonnyFL M18x1.0 Moderator Adapter
Impulse Air 1350 .35 cal Moderator with extra blue baffle
Blue castle nut, blue minimalist stock, blue fill nipple cover
1x magazine
500 FX .35 cal 81 gr pellets
50ish JSB Hades 77.16 gr pellets
Fill probe (not needed since you fill through the regulator)
Shroud cap (not needed due to the moderator adapter)

The gauges are not the most accurate. AEA gauge on the gun reads 2000 psi though the output pressure is 2400. This is common with the AEA gauges. The regulator Gauge reads high. If you do 3600 psi fills, it'll show 4000psi.

This gun chronographs at around 555 FPS with about 52 FPE. I think it's backyard quiet for a 1/4 acre suburban lot, but not if the neighbors are in their respective backyards.

The gun is insanely consistent with the regulator. At 3600 psi fills (4500 psi max), it can go through two mags (16 shots) easy before I feel compelled to top it back off.

Other  Looking for a premium PCP - what are the top-tier brands now?

I'm starting to research my next high-end PCP airgun purchase and feel a bit out of the loop on the current market. The options seem to have exploded in recent years!

I'm looking for something in the premium segment - exceptional build quality, outstanding out-of-the-box accuracy, and modern engineering. While I'm familiar with the usual suspects like Daystate, FX, and Airgun Technology, I'm curious to know what other top-tier or "boutique" brands I should be considering.

Have you discovered any newer or perhaps underrated manufacturers that truly compete at the highest level? What brands impress you the most with their innovation and performance right now?

I'd really appreciate your insights and any personal experiences. Thanks in advance for helping me expand my list!

N/A  Czech Vz35 and Anschutz Hakim Military Training Air Rifles

Recently joined the AGN Forum and posted a intro in the General Information sub-forum. Was kindly welcomed and one respondent asked if I could post up a few of my air rifles. So, thought best to do that here and leave a link back on the other. I once owned both a German MARS and Heinel BB German youth trainers some years ago (but let them go as being peripheral to my interests at the time). Have owned a couple Hakim rifles in past, too... but was not a fan of the muzzle blast one bit! Do have a nice Czech Vz24 with lion crest (dated 38), so when the opportunity came along to pick up the trainer, it was hard to resist. As for the Hakim trainer, a friend has been thinning his large arms collection for 15 years and offered me the trainer at a very friendly price, so got it as well. Would have to say that potato digger cocking/pump lever is perhaps the most lengthy I have ever seen! Both function perfectly and though under powered by today's standards, are still a hoot to shoot...

Theoretical Groups at Distance

I have a indoor range that is limited to 40 yards (48 if I diagonal), I use it to test regulator settings and for verifying tins of pellets prior to the more relevant outdoor testing.

If I shoot a ten shot group of 1/2" (outside to outside) at 40 yards (a 0.323" group ctc), how close would the theoretical ctc group of 0.444" be at 55 yards (indoors)?

Can I expect some additional expansion of the group?

Back calculating to 10 yards I get a 0.081" ctc group (half a pellet), which seems close to actual if not slightly larger than... That is what got me thinking about the additional expansion, it is expanding more further away from the muzzle.

Has anyone calculated tested groups at 40 yards and then confirmed the theoretical size at 55 yards?

Compressors  WTS Daystate Super Leggero low hours

Here’s a virtually brand new Daystate Super Leggero 110v with 3.25 hrs. This was supposed to be my one and done compressor but luck has it I found a bigger compressor for a dynamite price about a month later locally. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this unit and it fills to 4500psi with automatic shut off. Stored indoors. Great compressor that fills bottles with no problem. It comes with the manual and a quart of coltri oil. AOA offers excellent customer service if you need parts/service. If you have any questions send me message. $1700 OBO local pickup ny/nj

HW/Weihrauch  HW50 LOVE

I love this 177 Hw50. The way it's set up its probably the most versatile air rifle I own. It's got a simple fixed 4x non AO scope. I can pop targets at random distances without any adjustments.
20250909_181043.jpg

It's shooting nicely at ~11.3 fpe. The gun is reasonably light at 7.2lbs scoped. It's size and weight make it come to shoulder perfectly. It's my first choice to bring into the squirrel woods.
20250909_181309.jpg

Ive been shooting my bigger 77,97,95 the last few days with mixed experiences and feelings. Tonight this gun was nothing but joy. I have no idea how many tens of thousands have been through this gun but man is this thing ridiculously smooth in every function. You can tell this guns got some shots on it by looking at butt pad wear on it's corners. This is it's second stock too.

This 50 will never replace my beloved 30s because of cocking weight but I have another 177 Hw50 on the way that I plan on soft tuning and putting peeps on it. The older I get the more I appreciate these lighter less powerful rifles.

Be well
Ron

Kalibrgun  Getting in contact with Kalibrgun

Has anyone had any luck getting in contact with Kalibrgun? I bit ago I bought a brand new Snipe II in 30 cal. I loved it for 2-3 weeks. Made sure do do my due dilligence. I tried to reach out to them to see what their recommended optimum reg pressures was (because its not in the manual). Got no response. I found on the forums most are shooting between 160-200 bar. So I kept it around 170-180. One day I am at the range and after taking a shot I could hear air leaking. Figured it might be a seal somewhere. But couldn't find anything on break downs and replacement. So to avoid voiding my warranty, I reached out to them. Heard NOTHING. So I did some googling and found that Airguns of Arizona is a authorized warranty repair place. So I contacted them, then shipped it off to them weeks ago. Well they tried to reseal it and its still leaking and they do not know why. So I reach out to them again and ask, at what point do you all just replace the rifle since it apparently has a catastrophic failure? So I have reached out to them (Kalibrgun) three separate times and have yet to get a response from them. I have NEVER had a company this flippant about customers who buy their four figure guns. Does anyone have a contact number or email for them? Because I don't want to have to try to return it to the shop and screw them over. But asking me to eat that hefty price tag because they made a defective product and won't stand behind it seems crazy to me.

PCP Rifle  NLA WTT/WTS delta wolf 25cal

I just recently got this off the forums here for EBR and can't go due to family issues so I am wanting to sell it or trade it. It is the 23 inch barrel with the new barrel clamp system. Derrick Wall checked out the gun and installed a 700 cc bottle and the barrel clamp system, new grip, and the new PRS bag rider. It is a very accurate gun with the AEA 33.9 grain pellets. It comes with one 10 round mag. it has the Arca rail on the bottom and it comes with the original 480 cc bottle as well, two thumb drives, charging cable and the cable to hook to your computer. It has a new chronograph and has been updated by Derrick and it has the new valve as well. The cocking lever has been moved to the left side since I'm a south paw. I am looking for an American air arms Evol in 22 or 30 or Lesihy 2 with bottle in 22 or 25. just cannot warm up to a bull pup or I would keep it. It will come in the original hard case. I would like $1900 plus shipping. Or work out a trade.
Scope or bipod are not included.

Biodegradable targets...

What biodegradable targets do you shoot at?

As a plinker I get bored with paper targets very quickly and prefer something a bit more challenging for off-hand shooting.

For years I've been using breakfast cereal as a convenient, reactive and biodegradable target. Honeycomb explodes nicely when hit and the critters clean up afterwards.

I hang the Honeycomb on a bent-out paperclip suspended from a string to blow around in the breeze.

The Honeycomb is about 1 inch in diameter or one MOASH (minute of a squirrels head) in size making it ideal for small game hunting practice. 🙂

If I'm getting cocky and want more of a challenge in preparation for grasshopper hunting, I'll substitute Cherrios or Froot Loops for the Honeycomb... they are about 1/2" diameter.

Cereal will never replace tin cans but Honeycomb sure is a fun target.

Cheers!

Daisy  Daisy 753 Tiger Maple - Restoration Complete

The restoration of this 1999 Daisy 753 is now complete. The Tiger Maple stock really came to life. I’m thrilled to be the next caretaker of this treasure. The gun is totally rebuilt. New seals, foam gasket, cocking lever, piston, bolt, bolt lock, valve, piston tube, piston tube body and springs. It is shooting strong at 520fps using RWS Basic 7 grain wadcutters. Accuracy test is next. I will let the several coats oil now dry for a few weeks. Then remove the action and give the stock several more coats of oil. Then probably repeat one more time. To much oil build up to quickly can slow the drying process down. Thank you everyone for your advice with the restoration.

Diana Airbug opinions

I own a Diana P-Five and a Umarex SA10.

I hated the P-Five at the beginning since I couldn't hit anything. With time I solved the issue modifying the front sight. Now with the bigger sight radius I really like it and I'm having much greater groups than with the SA10.

I like the SA10 as training for "normally shaped pistols" , my range shooting improved a little bit when I started using airguns at home. I like I don't need to cock each time, CO2 is simple and cheap.
The SA10 is almost the only blowback using diabolo pellets, single/double action, field strippable, CO2 and pellets in the magazine, so I've not found "better replicas" to buy.
These pistols seem to not last forever, but surely they're fun in the meanwhile.

Anyway... To "fill the gap" I'm thinking about a Diana Airbug, opinions on this choice considering the above current situation?

Thank you!

Air Arms Prosport Moderator

I bought a Prosport from the local pawn shop. 177cal and I feel that it was a good deal.

Problem? It's barrel cover was cut off like 1 to 1.5 inches before the actual barrel. Why i don't know. And it's loud even when I used 10gr jsbs. So I am wondering how or if there's anything I can slip over the barrel cover that will quiet her down and is stable/secure enough to not move but gives me the option to remove it when I want to and for whatever reason.

I tried making a quick homemade thing using pvc, hair curlers and felt and it quieted the noise but I didn't know how to make it secure to so I just took it off and tossed it.

Any ideas or leads of what to buy or try making is needed.

Thank you

PCP Rifle  SOLD .30 cal AGT Vulcan 3 (Wood stock) 500mm with AGT Moderator

Bought this gun last year from a member here (JaceSpace1369) and have shot it very little since. Here is the ad from when he sold the gun, and I haven’t made any adjustments to his tune: https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/vulcan-3-30-500mm-1200-w-mod-shipped-or-trade.1327189/
It sits just as I received it except that I made the fixed in place custom stainless steel fill nipple shown, and added a high quality textured rubber grip appliqué on the pistol grip. It is in beautiful condition, but the moderator does have a few scratches that I captured in photos. It really is a very cool gun, but I’m an FX guy and I have my eye on JaceSpaces Panthera Hunter Compact, so it has to go to finance the deal. The gun will come with2 magazines and all of the accessories (fill probe and fittings, plastic caliper and soft case) these guns ship with from AGT apart from the cleaning mat which I did not receive. It will ship in the original AGT cardboard box. I’m asking $1,100 shipped. Scope and of course the tripod are not included.
