SOLD Price plummets to $1,000 --> Weihrauch HW44 .22 pistol with wood pistol grip, carbine stock & 4 mags

** SOLD **

I purchased this Weihrauch HW44 22 cal pistol about 10 months ago. It is very well made and very quiet. The metal 10-shot magazines cycle smoothly with the side lever, and a magazine of test shots with 18.13gn Diablo pellets averaged about 680f/s or 18.4fpe. These pistols are already optimized for the best balance of accuracy and power.

After the HW44 arrived I ordered some custom wood grips for it from Rink-Formgriffe in Germany. One was a target style pistol grip ($165), currently mounted on the pistol, and the other was a carbine style shoulder stock ($265). The original black synthetic grip is ergonomic and functional and included. But these custom wood grips are both ergonomic and beautiful and they allow an easy 2 bolt conversion between long pistol and short carbine.

The HW44 pistol is so well made and quiet that I considered keeping it, but after a few magazines through it I decided that I prefer a semi-auto these days. The HW44 has been stored in a case most of the time I've had it. And now that the wood grips have finally arrived a few months after being ordered, it's time to sell it as a package.

The new asking price is $1,000, which is a drop of $175 over the previous price, and that includes shipping within the continental US. That's less than the cost of a new HW44 without the extra magazines or stocks. So basically, you're getting get the extra magazines and wood pistol target grip and carbine stock for free. It will be very well padded and boxed, I've had hundreds of sales with nothing broken in transit so far.

PayPal only, no counter offers or trades accepted on this one. I need to clear out the things which I'm not using, not collect more of them. I can usually get to UPS within three of days of receipt of payment and will post the tracking info for the shipment as soon as I get it myself.

I'll check the forum messages tomorrow, if you are ready to buy I'll send my PayPal address.

Thanks for looking

Never saw one dance like this one did

Little squirrel, bad shot. It's been raining for a few hours and I finally gave up waiting it out and was heading to the grocery store. Opened the storm door and saw a squirrel sitting down to eat a pecan in one of my trees, just a couple feet from the one that has been hung up in the tree for a couple weeks. Grabbed the Uragan 22 and just having the knuckles of my support hand touching a roof post on the deck, tried to put a pellet in very front of shoulder, his body was behind a fairly large limb. Made a bad shot, hit him less than 1/2 inch from where I wanted, knew by the sound of the pellet smacking him I hit the head somewhere. The yellow line is about where the tree limb had his body blocked. He dropped straight to the ground and many times was springing straight up over 2 feet high, for over 5 seconds it was like he was on a trampoline. When he stopped I settled in for a second shot and saw he was dead already, no second shot needed. All that springing up in the air, at least 8 times higher than 2 feet, he ended up withing a foot of where he fell. I've seen plenty flop around vigorously but never springing into the air flipping like this guy did, never landed on feet, ass, sides, head, never on his feet.

Fx Crown 177 tune

Finished up a 177 tune for a guy Thursday. 500 mm shooting the fx 10.34. Amazing shot count and accuracy. Was really windy but it shot damn nice and guns really smooth. Sounds like a tuned race car. Think it will be a great field target gun for sure as that’s what he’s gonna use it for.

P-AIR A PELLET PRICES

was looking at cyber stuff lol looking through the list of pellets, see the 14.35gr jsb at almost 28.99 bucks a tin, i realize not a really used pellet like the 16-18 gr but golly gee is that crazy, so i looked around at the other shops to compare.
trenier is 16.99
utah is 20.99
high presure is 20.99
i really dont understand why such a big spread in prices thought there was a limit to map pricing?
i think the people better take hard look as they gotta save what they can as the pellets are getting crazy to shoot.
p-air at 25-30 a tin they sure should have whoever is marketing that place as i sure dont order from them, you get free tin but your not saving nothing

An honest question for manufacturers and the masses!

I've noticed that there's been a huge response to the situation concerning "DonnyFL", LDCs, pickles etc., etc. and etc. There's always, though it seems, been a gross misinterpretation concerning "DonnyFL, LDCs, pickles etc., etc. and etc. and the law. I presently own and have owned Air Arms 410Es in .177 and .22 calibers with a shrouded barrels and there's never been a need for "add-ons" to quiet them down? The question, "why aren't manufacturers" designing pcps where there would be no need for "add-ons" to the 1/2 inch threaded end of the muzzle. With todays technology, I'm sure they have thought about it but at the rate things are going with "DonnyFL, LDCs, pickles etc., etc. and etc. and the law", what does the future hold for those of us that have more than grown to appreciate our sport and hobby? Something to think about and I'm just curious!

Time to get a .22 cal barrel for my Impact…

Rsfrid convinced me with his 8 yard .177 hole group thread… I’ve been resisting shooting in my basement for years but had to try it tonight just to see what I could do…

I shot 4 air rifles, my Crossman 760 I bought for nostalgia from my favorite local gun shop that closed up when the owners retired. I grew up in that shop. Trigger feels like the trigger on my Glock 17, actually I don’t think it’s as good. It was still fun though and I’ll keep playing with it. Shot my FWB 124 next after putting the scope on I’d just taken off. I’m not liking my springers much anymore and can’t say I enjoyed it, well it was my least favorite to shoot. Then it was my .177 Marauders turn. It shot well but this is a big bulky heavy gun and the bolt has a pretty heavy spring making it fairly hard to cock. I was resting across a stool while kneeling on the floor. Not a good setup and the Marauders bulk made it worse. I wasn’t going to shoot the Impact but I had too. Man, 25 caliber feels like a cannon in the basement after shooting the three .177’s and the pellets are a lot more expensive. This is where the .22 caliber barrel comes in…

I have an Impact and I don’t have a .22 cal air rifle now. I love shooting the Impact. The .22 pellets are substantially cheaper than .25 cal. My shot count will go way up. I’ll get some slugs for it. A new gun but much cheaper.

I’ll get a 700mm kit because that’s what my .25 is. I’m not getting a heavy slug liner yet, I’ll shoot mostly pellets and try a few light slugs just for the fun of experimenting. Don’t need to nor am I interested in shooting slugs indoors at 20 yards or less but can’t say I won’t be in that rabbit hole before too long. If I didn’t have the Marauder I’d be tempted to get a .177 barrel kit but I don’t need/want another .177 right now.

Is there anything I should know before I get the 22 barrel kit?

NLA FX Dream Tactical .22 300mm barrel and 480cc carbon bottle

FX Dreamline Tactical. This one has 300mm barrel and 480cc carbon bottle. I also have a 600mm shroud, it would just need a liner. Has pin probe, huma dual transfer port, and power plenum. Scope and rings do not go but I do have a SWFA ultralight 2.5-10x that could be added for extra. Nothing wrong with it just wanting to try something different .$1,350

My recent transaction with Baker Airguns

Hello everyone,

About a year ago I tried to buy a new rifle from Baker Airguns and things just did not go very well. I got pretty upset and posted my grief here on the Forum.

Well over two weeks ago I was looking for a .177 cal Marauder and found a used one at Baker Airguns on a Saturday night. I decided to go ahead and make the purchase via their website. I received confirmation and shipping information first thing Monday morning. Received the rifle within the week and after a close inspection I decided it was not the gun for me. I called and explained my situation and without any hesitation I was told to send the gun back for a full refund. Here I must add that they expressed much concern and apologized for any and all inconvenience this has caused me. I have to give Baker Airguns a Five Star rating for their customer service.

I also apologize for my hasty decision for making the negative posting here on the Forum. This Forum serves our air gun community in more than one way and it is very important that we all do our very best to maintain a fair, honest and positive support whenever we can.

76 yards off hand out the window 177 red wolf

I was on a conference call, when I saw this guy climb in one of my trees. I strategically placed my computer to the side as I slowly open the window. I took him off hand. I hit right where I was aiming. I always go for the neck, figuring if I’m a little bit high I get the head and if I’m a little bit low I get the CV. Full disclosure, my elbow was resting against the side of the window frame.

This was a big one.

Mike

Heck of a deal

So was having a funny poi change out of the blue a few weeks ago, and fought it tring to figure out what was the cause.

Doing all the common hw things to do and same ol results . Like shooting good and out of the blue go 1/2" left then maybe go back good every one or so shots.

Then near my wits end scratching my head bald i picked it up , cocked and loaded snapped it closed and went to take aim and the lolly post was gone...lol

Well well... Lucky i got the stick magnetic and found the lolly post and in 3 or 4 attempt's with different glues and using another unused rectangle post as a new base with got it to stick ( knock on wood) under many shots recoil or i should say so far so good 🤔.

Ya, dont guess id ever expect that post to break off like that or it was a defective somehow.

Anyway forgot to picture the glue job lolly post but its in and been testing it out today under this glue job.

Heres the broke insert ring minus the post part..

Anyone else have that happen?

Witnessing the End of Airgun Moderators?

I have been talking to a few airgunners after seeing what happened to DonnyFLs website change recently. Looks like we might be in the beginning to the end of legal over the counter airgun moderator sales....

Hopefully I am wrong and only time will tell, but what do you all think about the ordeal?

Soon to be New gun owner

I've purchased a 1st gen .22 cal Maruader, not in possession yet. I've been scrambling for a week on how to power this and thought I could use a free scuba tank which as you know and now I know they can only fill to 3000 and the scba shop told me I wouldn't be happy with it after filling the gun once or twice, so I've decided to buy a compressor. I was originally gonna buy a Tuxing 032 which are 1109 now on Amazon but I think the 031 would work just as well for filling a rifle? I'd be saving several hundred. What else would I need to buy in order to get started with this setup?

I just can't wrap my head around any of these lesser priced compressor's no matter how many reviews I read on them. I'm aware that a real compressor is over 4,000, that's not gonna happen. A first time shooter probably needs that guppy tank but the filling station is an hour away for me!
