I have a Taipan Veteran 22 short and sometimes it doesn't cock on first try have to let lever up a short distance and try again? Is there an adjustment or something to fix??

So, my brother, who I introduced to pcp airguns has been hinting that he ordered something for me, but it was taking a long time to ship. On Wednesday I got a FedEx tracking number, and yesterday this showed up.
It turns out he ordered two Panthera’s, but was getting kinda jerked around on delivery time, so he cancelled the order and bought us each an Epoch. I’m totally surprised and blown away…

100yard groups

After discussion and input here on the board, I decided to buy an HW50 .177 to begin shooting and rabbit hunting. And then, as often heppens, “something came up.” A very kind seller in NorCal sold me his Laminate stock HW100 (also in .177) with pump and extra magazines, and as he was driving south, he and I were able to meet up in LA this evening. Very thrilled to have it in my hands, and yes, it is change of direction. But it’s so beautiful, and he gave me a great deal, I couldn’t resist. I have a lot of paper shooting to do before I aim at something with ears, but I will keep you folks posted. Happy to be part of the group! Aloha!

Couldn't find any info outside of the Kalibrgun & Kalibrgun USA websites, & don't see it listed at any US dealers. Described as a bullpup on KG site, but looks more like a semi-bullpup. Successor of sorts to the Mini Carbine?
I find it interesting, but probably not enough to buy one. It does give me hope they will eventually introduce a descendant of the rifle/full/non-pup Carbine.

Excellent condition. Typical signs of light use in general & on front pic rail from mounting a bipod. I have had a great experience with this little compact. Great shooter, holds air just fine. I’m ready to try something else. Has Wika bottle pressure gauge and digital regulator gauge. 1st reg @140 bar, 2nd reg at 110’ish bar. JSB 15.89’s @ PW #2, 18.13 @ PW #3, and H&N Barracuda Match 21.14’s, 5.52 @ PW #4 pretty much 900fps across the board in those three configurations and shoots all three very well. I am a pellet shooter so I have not shot any slugs. I do have an FX .22/25 power kit never installed, brand new with the pin probe , .25 sleeve and the 11g & 13g hammer weights that will be included. The 7g weight is in it now with one FX spacer washer. It is more consistent with pellet tunes with the lighter hammer weight. Custom 3D printed thread protector and butt pad with pic rail. I wouldn’t count on it for a sling point but would probably work for a monopod. I don’t have the original butt. Also included: FX hardcase, two mags, spare valve pin, valve seat, return spring seat & valve pin o-rings.

Ever shot a good shooting semi auto Pellet gun ? It kind of opens a new book in my sport of air gunning, I got it tuned for JSB 18 gr pellets @ 900 FPS , Make no mistake this is a slug gun but I will be shooting pellets for a while, I know the gun not broke in yet but I did a few dime size groups at 48 yards easy, Jackrabbits oh my, One jumps up 10 yards away with a semi auto you don't wait for them to stop. Any way just rambling now, I should have got one a long time ago,,,,

Broke out the Brocock for the first time this year. She’s still got great accuracy. Good enough for me anyway.


I had a good group here although I’m a bit off target.


I had a couple others that were good until I threw the last shot, but one stood out. I ain’t much of a target shooter, but this group made this ole hunter a little proud. I wouldn’t have guessed I could do that standing behind a tripod at 50 yards. I don’t lockdown the pan portion of the ball head so the rifle moves when I breathe, if I lean, or when the wind blows hard enough.


Yea I pulled the last shot, but wow! That’s a 5-shot group. Earlier I read a post that @Michael posted on breathing and trigger techniques. I gave some of it a try. That was helpful information. Some was a reminder of what @Gerry52 shared with me a while back. Thank you both.

I’d gotten bored with this rifle for a while after getting to know my Evol. I thought maybe I’d get rid of her to get an XR with a side lever. As I was shooting this evening the Bantam Sniper’s bolt reminded me of the old school bolt rifles we hunted with when I was a boy. That was a nice relaxing shooting session.

Edit: I’m shooting a Brocock Bantam Sniper HR topped with a Sightron STAC 4-20x50 SFP at 8x magnification and .25 JSB King Heavy MKII diabolo pellets 33.95 grains. There was hardly a breeze. I don’t think it blew over 2mph. And if anyone was wondering, the outermost target circle measures 1 ½” in diameter.

Been watching a lot of AAR lately, so been looking at BSA guns as I've always liked their aesthetic. Looks like they just released the Scorpion TS today at the BSS.

I've recently started building up my collection of discontinued springers and I've found most of them to be pretty tip top shooters. Just curious if there are any out there that you think deserve to be revived more than the others.

In the past I have used FP-10 CLP for lubing my pellets and slugs when shooting my RAW's, which seemed to work just fine.

Earlier this year, I read a post from Hector Medina (GTA) recommending T-9 (bicycle lube/wax) for pellets for Springers. After using the T-9 ... I noticed all my Springer's muzzle velocity increased about 20-40fps vs. pellet straight from the tin. I had never lubed pellets for Springers before .

Now wondering if I can get the same velocity increase using T-9 for the RAW's? To be honest, not sure if the FP-10 was doing the same - just never tested?

I already polish and wax the barrels of all my airguns to improve accuracy/reduce excessive barrel leading. Always looking for ways to increase velocity so I can de-tune other aspects of the gun, hence reducing hammer strike, regulator set-point and/or increasing efficiency.

Has anyone found a negative to using Boeshield T-9 as a PCP pellet/slug lube?

I know it’s been asked a 1,000 times. I am wanting a quality springer for squirrel hunting. I have an old Remington nitro piston in 22 and it’s okay. I don’t care if it a break barrel, side cocker, under lever, whatever. Weight doesn’t bother me, but I like a good sling on a rifle. I am left handed so at least an ambi stock and thumbhole stocks are not for me. It doesn’t need to be a true left handed gun either. Budget is up to 800 for the gun. I will be putting a good quality scope on it with a parallex at least down to 25yards preferably lower and adjustable. I will put a good base and rings on as well. I have pcps but I like Springers because I grew up with them and pumpers. It just brings back good memories of my father and me shooting them and hunting with them. I don’t mind sending it to get tuned by a quality airsmith to get them right. Range will be out to 40-50 yds max.
I know they get more difficult to shoot accurately as power and caliber goes up. I’m open to other calibers as well. I

With this inexpensive adapter set you can setup your Panthera to use double bottles for additional air (Panthera DoubleAir setup), or move the back bottle to the front for a Panthera Hunter configuration. Once again I am raising old issue of my guns accuracy, today I was going through its Test Report as attached. I observed that it was tested on JSB Jumbo Beast 33 grains. Interestingly I found that diameter of pellet is 5.5880 mm whereas I am trying JSB redesigned 23 grains having 5.52 mm diameter.
Do you think barrel will behave eratic with pellets having 5.52mm diameter. Please explain.

Can't say I only just saw them because they are right there, but I finally digested the numbers (i.e., gave them two seconds of thought) and realized there is 5 times the amount of traffic on the PCP section as there is on the Traditional Air Gun section of AGN.

Are PCP's 5 times more popular or just 5 times more complicated requiring more discussion than traditional air guns? Look around any air gun range or in the classified adds and they do seem 5 times more popular.

It seems that taipan will release a forward cocking bullpup rifle at IWA 2023!!!!
