PCP Rifle  NLA FX crown 25cal saber tactical

Last resort before keeping this thing, and putting a 380 barrel on it for woods walking.
I bought this crown November of last year brand new from the pellet shop With the intent of doing some benchrest/competing (after all, it was the crown saber tactical that won rmac last year!).
I quickly decided benchrest is not for me, and I just don’t have the time to put in for competition shooting.

im looking for something in trade that I can use to woods walk, for similar value. Looking only for 25 cal, and in ‘like new’ condition.

intersted in Mavericks, wildcat bt’s, evol’s, etc.

would sell outright also for $1700 shipped (substantial discount from new).

PM for pics, and more info. Very responsible, and perfect feecback here on AGN.

Thanks for looking.

A couple of questions about springers.

What is the general consensus about 1. using the Weihrauch HW50S for small game ie: squirrels and smaller? and 2. how long can you keep the rifle cocked while hunting before it becomes detrimental to the power of the rifle? I'm looking for a rifle on the lighter side to carry on hunt/walks that won't make you cut the walk short because of weight. I don't like slings.

The guns you no longer have.

An airgun buddy that I have known for a few years just got a Crosman 600 and was asking if I have one. I said I have had three over the years but currently have none.

It got me running a list in my head on airguns I no longer have. Some sold, some traded and some given away as gifts. Some I regret but all I enjoyed.

Here is my list as best as I can remember . I am sure I a missing a fair amount.

So, what don’t you have anymore?

Diana 56 T/H Questions

Just came in today. Gun in good shape cosmetically. Philippine made Bushnell and some unlabeled adjustable droop mount. Chrono printout I got has it making just over 9 FPE with JSB Exact 10.34. Shot some H&N FTT through it. Trigger is excellent. Shot surprisingly well considering the reticle is canted 10 degrees left. No recoil but there’s a little buzz. Don’t know if it’s been tuned down or if there’s an issue. Will put on chrono tomorrow and see what I get with FTT and start there. I actually have a ZRT spring for this platform but I think that’s too much for .177. A few questions: 1) When I tilt the gun down the sled moves forward. After I fire, if I tilt the barrel up to cock, the cocking arm travels about 3/4 way. Have to stop then finish cocking to get it all the way. Doesn’t happen if gun is level or barrel down when cocking. Is this normal?; 2) The plastic shroud between compression chamber and barrel will move fore and aft slightly. See pic. Any way to fix that?; 3) Anyone know what the finish is on these guns? I’ve seen it called Parkerizing. But, I remember reading something Hector wrote about the CCA 54 .20 not being Parkerized but something else. Wondering if that’s just those guns or the 56TH finish also; 4) Where is the manufacture date on these guns? Don’t see it in the usual Diana spot unless it’s covered by the stock. Looking forward to tearing into it and seeing what it will do. Thanks.

Edit: Found the post from Hector RE: the finish. It’s apparently a semi-ceramic finish that’s harder than Parkerizing and is what he used on the CCA D54 .20 guns.

Coyote#6 shot with my FX Impact MK2 and slug

After many multiple nights of failure, I finally got lucky and dropped this mangy coyote with my Impact shooting the H&N Gen2 25gr slug.

Footage might be a bit gruesome to watch as the coyote didn't die right away. I had to do follow up shots to finish it. I knew the first shot would have been enough as my previous coyotes hunt have all been head shots and they all died shortly. Unfortunately, this one struggled a bit longer than I would like.

I did my job and the farmer was very happy the threat to his live stocks was eliminated for now.

Can anyone vouch for this web site? This is the best price I have seen on this wrench.

Wildcat mklll or Mavrick?

So I currently have the Impact M3 in .30 and absolutely love it, but have decided that this is going to be my gun that really does not have to be toted around.
So my question to those of you in the know is if you wanted a gun that you could walk the woods with hunting squirrel and the likes in the .22 bottle version which of the 2 mentioned would you choose and for what reasons? I'm really leaning towards the Wildcat mklll sniper but would like to hear your opinions both educated and just personal preference.
Thanks for your time,
O_H

Took a torch and milwuakee grinder to both my Hubens

So I always use these Tnuts and I had to trim them, I had to shorten the spikes, and had to heat the plastic lmao I am keeping this brief because I don't feel like typing much but I got creative :😜

Anyways

The one on the bipod is my .25 I will be using for the bench rest competition at North East Airgun Classic hence the redonkulous sized scope on it.

The one on the tripod is my .22 rat and pigeon gun.

Nothing like 1 huben , definitely nothing like 2 ;)

Traditional Rifle  NLA Refinished old style R1 stock. Free.

I pulled this stock off an R1 I recently picked up. Someone refinished it at some point, but it's in pretty clean shape otherwise. Old style with the palm swell and hand cut checkering. Has steel screw cups. No screws included.
PXL_20230324_222822818.jpg

If you want it, come pick it up. I'm not shipping it, I'm not driving 30 miles to meet, and I'll throw it away if no one wants it.

Decatur/Huntsville AL area.

Crosman Challenger shooting Domed Pellets at 10-Meters

Hello everyone,

I had ordered 8 new different .177 cal Domed pellets under 8gr weight to shoot in my Crosman Challenger and Daisy Model 599 at both 10-meters and 25-yards. Received them in yesterday afternoon and numbered all of the Tins and added them to my pellet list. This morning I got all the Paper Targets ( Pellet Comparison Second Target ) taped on to some cardboard backing and ready to clamp on to my 10-Meter frame. Note: the solid black bullseye is only 1/8-inch in diameter for reference.

I cleaned the barrel bore and topped off the cylinder to 3,000psi and shot 8 rounds of the first three pellets. I have labeled each Brand and Weight for the pellet used on each line. I pushed a clean Swab down the bore and again topped off the cylinder to 3,000psi and shot the second card. Used the same procedure on card number three for the last two pellets.

I have attached a scanned photo of each card and you can see what pellets shot poorly and which ones shot really well. Too much wind today to repeat this test on the 25-yard range but I will in time and will share the results here on the Forum.

I shot theses targets from inside my house to the outside target frame. I shot from a bench using bags and a bag jack.

Rifle: Crosman Challenger .177cal
Pellets: see photos
Distance: 10-Meters
Wind: 10-15mph

Hope this information will be of some help.

Texas Bluebonnets in Full Bloom

Hello everyone,

I know you good folks up North wish that the snow was all gone and some green grass and flowers covered the landscape. However down here in Deep East Texas we have already mowed the yard and enjoying a beautiful Spring day. My brother lived in the Hill Country of Texas, Fredericksburg to be exact, before he passed away, and he gathered up a bunch of Texas Blue Bonnet seeds for me a couple of years ago. I planted them and boy did they grow great for me, here are a couple of photos that I took this morning, hope it will make you day a bit better.
