N/A  BRK Ghost VS FX Impact MKIII - both are terrific!

Over the last two months I added to my collection in .22 a BRK Ghost and an Impact MKIII. Both have the 600mm barrel. Both came from The Pellet Shop where I received exemplary service before and after the purchase. Bin talked me through my tuning questions and I am very pleased with their performance.

Shooting the JSB Jumbo Monster Redesigned 25.4 Gr pellets, both are now slinging them within 5 fps of each other at +/- 960. Both show extreme consistency with an SD of 2 fps across 20 shot strings. Both will group 10 shots within an inch at 84 yards and literally stack pellets on top of each other at 50 yards.

I find the FX to be much smoother In the cocking cycle and to have a better trigger. I also feel the FX is more adaptable to about any airgun situation. The larger capacity magazine is nice, too.

The Ghost just feels more solid in the construction and doesn’t seem to be as maintenance finicky, but time will tell. It sure is easy to adjust the velocity up and down. The magazine can’t get any easier to load, insert, or remove.

Bottom line - both great rifles.

What would you do if your m-rod arrived like this?

This arrived a couple of minutes before Crosman offices closed for the weekend. My first PCP.
The FedEx driver asked if I wanted to refuse delivery, but I accepted it.
Tried to operate the bolt and it wouldn't budge. Applied over 50 pounds of upward pull figuring there was nothing to loose. Noticed the plunger assembly didn't look like anything in any photo's or manuals. The finish on the plunger assembly looks like crap. It was backed out too much as visible in photo. Tightening it down some released the bolt and it operates but it's going to need some work.
Ordered it from one of the biggest corporations that I would normally never do business with but price was too good.
My thoughts are to talk with Crosman. I don't have a way to air it up until FedEx delivers a compressor on Monday, hoping it arrives in better condition.

Josh3rd THIEF!!

I am so saddened to report this here.
Josh has several times in the past year or two requested small sums of money to help him out between paychecks etc. I have helped him many times. He has always paid me back. Recently he said he needed some money again and that he would send his Pro Sport as collateral. I know he has one because we have discussed it many times, it's even in his Avatar.
This is a long standing member here with nearly 1000 posts and 100% positive feedback.

Rather than hold the gun as collateral, I offered to purchase it for 400.00 plus shipping plus the outstanding balance he currently owed me. All in, I would still be getting a reasonable but not outstanding deal on this used rifle. All of our dealings were through Paypal and while he was on the phone with me. I know him well and his voice is very distinctive. There is no chance this was anyone else. After all was said and done, today I received the package from Josh. A 2x4 in a trashed piece of cardboard!

I am deeply upset by this. I really do hope he gets some help for whatever would lead him to steal from a friend.

In the meantime PLEASE DO NOT deal with him in any way!

Daystate  The Red Wolf .22 non HP is, by far, my must accurate rifle and the easiest to control. Look at this group 5 shots at 88 yards.

IMG_2952.jpeg

Take into consideration that I do not use a bipod. Just a rest. And that I am not a EBR shooter !!!

All my rifles are zeroed at 50 yards so I need to compensate. The reticle has many lines. But I suppose that if the rifle would be zeroed at 88 yards the group made by you could be better. These Red Wolf's are amazing!!

Favourite squirrel ammo?

Yes poop placement is everything but I’m thinking of the times when we miss the brain or vitals and I really need them to get wrecked enough not to be able to make it into the neighbors yard.

Traditionally I’ve accepted the hades as tried and true but recently I’m seeing that h&n hunter extremes do the same but hit even harder on the initial impact. Was doing experiments today on baby oranges 🍊 and was super surprise at Crosman destroyer creating a huge exit explosion even at a lighter weight and h&n power had a thick consistent wound channel unlike the rest as if a drill went through soil. Yes all in 177 but in the caliber of your preference has anyone done any tests for damage and lethality?

Daystate  Daystate Red Wolf Midnight or Alpha Wolf Safari

Hey everyone,

I've certainly gotten hooked. I've gotten a ghost in 177 and 25, and a revere safari in 177, though it's going back to aoa as it arrived with a leak. I got the revere as a backup and to let friends use.

I really enjoy hft and thankfully we have alot of it in ohio.

It might be crazy but I'm already looking at additional rifles. I really love the looks of both the redwolf midnight and the alpha wolf safari (the bluewolf as I like to call it is certainly my favorite as it's simply gorgeous) I'm trying to do my research from those who have actually used them with pros and cons.

I would expect one of them to be my primary hft rifle in 177, with the other a 50 and 100 yard bench and maybe some hunting, in 25 or 30 caliber.

I appreciate any feedback. If the redwolf becomes my hft rifle is it better to go with the hp even with the longer barrel or is there a benefit to going with the standard model and it's 6 inch shorter length, or the hp and the ability to run more power?

Is the battery life sufficient on the alpha wolf? Is it too similar to the ghost, just computerized? I know if they had a ghost safari that it would be a take my money now rifle.

Thanks for everything.

Traditional Rifle  NLA Rare colored Diana 34 .177 w/Scope AO/IR (trade for PCP or another springer)

When was the last time you saw a factory painted Diana? Well…I’ve got this Diana 34 .177 cal with a rare painted stock. Comes with a Pinty 4-16x40 AO/IR scope and one piece mount. You can repaint it if you want, but I left it with original use. I added a new breech seal and a new piston seal. Has PTFE sleeve and some polish work. Cocks smooth with basically zero spring noise at all (Don’t believe me? Send me your phone number and I’ll send you a video of me cocking the rifle). Stock was damaged by UPS, but repaired and it is 100% functional. Re-greased everything. Roughly 12 FPE.

Nice little rifle for plinking and hunting.

Want to trade for another springer, PCP, CO2, or multi pump pneumatic rifle. Ideally want to trade for a PCP. Don’t have value for it.

Dated March 1986. Front hooded sight is a tru-glo fiber optic sight. Send offer if you’d like to buy (specify with or without scope).

Thanks for looking.

not bad for 1.5 hours at the dairy farm..

uploaded a new video today.........

a few days ago,
i went to my sight in spot at the farm to tune my impact compact .25 a little bit hotter
(was running 33.95gn king heavies at 865,bumped it up to 900)

tuning was quick,sight-in was too,
had some time left to kill,
so i did lol,
this is the result.

not bad for an hour and a half

Tuning  Leshiy classic Huma reg setting question

I scoured various forums threads but it was difficult to find someone matching my caliber and barrel length that wasnt sub12 and the few I could dig up they were so old the images of shot string results were no longer available to view.

So just put a Huma reg in the Leshiy Classic. Have a few questions.

1. I thought I read that they come from factory set to 110 bar? Mine (at least from the sticker) showed a random setting of about 127?
I ended up turning it down so the marking said 110 bar so I assume that's where its set. With that said Im trying to figure out my next step.

I'm running a 250mm in .22
I ran it over the chrony and here were the results with the first peak looking like HST 11? This was with JSB 15.89gr

HST#FPSAIR USED
1601-603
2633-631
3674-673
4683-684
5718-7125.3-5.1
6738-7485.3-5.2
7782-7725.3-5.6
8803-817-818-8125.7-5.6-5.8-5.8
9847-8485.8-6.5
10872-8766.5-6.5
11888-8937.3-8.0
12891-88911.1-11.1

From reading around the forums, its seems my best setting with reg set at 110 would be around HST 9 or 10 correct? (just below the peak) That's where in theory it should be the most efficient/best shot count for that setting?

I kind of want it shooting the 15gr around 815. (so level 8-ish)
My question is where should I be setting the reg to for optimal shot count and consistency? Would I want to lower the reg setting at this point to move my peak efficiency down a little into the 815-820 range? Or am I going about this wrong lol.

EDIT: SO I guess I'm asking if lowering the reg setting lowers the peak(most efficient FPS) range? Where as increasing the reg setting will move that ideal FPS range higher? Im running out of 15gr pellets to use for testing lol so I would like to reduce my trial and error as much as I can and at least get on the right direction. :)

Anyone use this Sightron SIII SS 10-50x60 for benchrest?

Looking for a new benchrest scope 25, 50, 75 & 100. This seemed like it would be a good scope for that. Thoughts? One airgun one scope.

Thanks
