Greetings.

I checked for a thread that discussed this topic but did not find any. I try to avoid redundancy if possible.

How do you guys clean your synthetic stocks? I have Marauders and a Crown and want to do things rightly rather than make an assumption. The cleaning I have in mind is a general maintenance one as there is nothing like sap, or glue, etc., on either gun. I just like ‘clean.’

It’s a simple question, but I am erring on the side of caution by asking. I am thinking soap and water, but who knows.

With the threads speaking of Extreme or Magnum Pistol running at 20 fpe & 30 fpe respectfully & 55 to 100 yard distances. They are BOTH being done as there own class / venues.

So how about Nurturing the use of Pistols during a regular 10-55 yard RIFLE Spec Field target match ?

Being the Rifle "FREESTYLE" rifle class had hit a brick wall .... The Rifle Open class is nearly dead around here, Lets take the idea of doing FT a different way and PLAY with a Pistol is lets say more an OPEN class sort of format.
I'm going to put out a news letter to the SVFTC members that spell out what class I'm going to promote here locally.

For now we'll call it OPEN PISTOL

Want a REAL Challenge having already done it 3 times in the last year ... It is HARD it is FUN and just mixes it up as too what amount of effort & skills practice each shooter can or wishes to deal with.

Could I install the updated adjustable hammer spring in an MK2? It should work right? Only thing I won’t have is the front assembly part I have circled…and that’s only there to combat the loose hammer spring from the MK2 (if you recall you could move it back and forth).

Does anyone know if Vern is still making grips? Sent him an email last week and haven't heard back. I haven't seen any ads anywhere for his grips in the last few months either. I want a set for my Crosman 1701P. I have several sets of his grips and all are works of art.

Having just purchased a used Commander XR I had no knowledge of how smoothly things should work. Inserting mag for the first time it felt cobby. Shot til empty and quite stiff to remove, Seemed odd. Reloaded and was able to insert for the second time, When empty unable to remove. I am not weak, I could not push hard enough to get the mag out. It took drift and a small hammer to drive it out. On inspection the center allen screw was backing out making the mag too wide. Worse still the internal spring had come loose. I performed some magic and all is good now. Take a close look at look at your magazines, Don't let this happen to you. What a smooth rifle these Brocock guns are, Great trigger, Power and Accuracy.

I received my new Scandinavian Arms (SA) tank bag today and boy is it sweet! The build quality and materials are top notch. Fits my Omega 74 cu. ft. (6.8L) tank perfectly. You can use it in both the upright or flat postions. It stands upright like a champ due to the reinforced bottom sleeve. The bottom side has rubber feet to prevent rolling. Well padded, well engineered. and great accessories pockets. The two side pockets are removable and even have elastic sleeves inside to hold pellet tins. Heavy duty carrying strap and handle with padding.

This is everything I wanted in a tank bag at a great price. Best tank bag out there by far, IMO.

I made a mess of the hammer screw on my Crosman 1322 while installing a steel breach. Despite multiple warnings about stripping the Phillips screw. I ended up having to grind the screw head off.

Surprisingly I did not have to drill out (easy-out) the whole screw. Once the head fell off, the remaining screw shaft unscrewed easily by hand. The old screw head revealed why - the screw was lock-tighted with blue lock-tight compound, but only under the screw head. There was no lock-tight in the screw hole.

Now that I have my new 2240 I want to avoid the screw removal problem. I think that this requires more than just using the correct size screwdriver. Can someone help me out with suggestions?

I have the crazy idea of using a cigarette lighter to pre-heat the screw before trying to remove it.

We like a lot of things in a scope. Optical quality like clarity and brightness, broad and high power ranges, great side focus, audible and tactile clicks in the turret knobs, great tracking, fancy reticles, and more. But if we forget all of that and concentrate on only one thing, that being ability to stand up to repeated heavy spring piston recoil, what would you say is the toughest scope out there?

I got out my .217 NSA slugs to test again. There's was almost no wind and I got a group like this. I'm curious if those smaller clusters show that there's potential and I'm not having a consistent hold, or if it's just because the slugs are the wrong size for my avenger. This is at 50 yards

Got up this morning and let the dog out while having coffee and had a flock of crows surrounding my house. My home is bordered on t2 side by the woods 10 yards away. I grabbed my new (to me) EVOL and belly crawled around between the house and garage and waited for a shot to present itself. Didn’t need to wait long….65 yards, 44 grn Hades and it dropped without a sound but still needed a finisher, tough birds….
