FX  Dreamline has its First Failure

I was handling the DreamTac this morning and took a look at the pressure gauge on the front of the tube (sigh). No pressure. Checked the regulator pressure. 120 bar, as set. Okay. Pretty sure this means the leak is at the fill port or the front gauge. It's a bummer, but the gun is 3 years old and has operated flawlessly until now. Guess I'll fill it again tomorrow and see if I can determine the source of the leak. But maybe it's just time to tear her down, inspect and reseal. Now where did I put my replacement o-rings?

Working towards that elusive 250 …

Our outdoor season is upon us and our 3rd N50 match is this Saturday. I’ve been practicing as much as time allows which is about twice a week. My first 250 card has been eluding me but I’m not giving up. My gun is much more capable than I am but I have high expectations that practice and diligence will eventually pay off. I read this forum and scores from other matches out west and it seems that 250s are the norm for many and I admire those skills from afar. I realize that 250’s don’t come by luck but it comes down to who can read the wind and time their shot releases appropriately. That is the skill set that I admire most and am working on the hardest.

This is my highest card to date, shot a couple days ago but it was only in practice, which really doesn’t count for record. Bull #15 could be a 9 too which would drop the score to a 248. Our backer board was pretty shot up and that hole got elongated.

Odd gimmick stuff you cant help but click on

Came across an Umarex rifle I couldn't help but click on out of confusion based curiousity. The tactical styled, collapsible stock, h/k mp7 replica in a low velocity break barrel single shot format. Under 500 fps in .177 it has little practical use or entertainment value.

PCP Rifle  SOLD SPF - AEA SF Compact .22 cal Semi-Auto or Bolt Action PRICE DROP

I have a very lightly used AEA SF Semi Auto Compact that needs to go to make room for other projects. I just put two magazines (JSB 18 grain) through her with no chops or jams, and she has held air since last March ('23) when I packed her for the move to Florida.

$600 $500 includes shipping in the lower 48. PayPal preferred. If you don't want F&F then you pay the fees. Life has happened and it's time to let some things go to make room for other things.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Sheridan 5mm with rocker safety

Selling a rifle I'm never going to use so it may as well find a new home. Older Sheridan 5mm. I bought it from Ebay a number of years ago. Was supposed to be freshly resealed. I have no ammo for it but it does hold air and shoot. Always stored with 1 pump in it.
Has some pitting on one side of the barrel. Also someone apparently tried to glue a peep sight on it. I tried to show it in the pics. Doesn't appear to be any barrel separation.

Asking $170 shipped in the CONUS.
Paypal F&F or USPS money order.

Stoeger  Stoeger X20 S2 - big question

I have a new to me Stoeger X20, and I'm afraid the baffles have been damaged.
I'd like to replace them, but I don't know if the end cap of the shroud is removable, and since parts are as scarce as hens teeth, I don't want to "Bubba" it trying to get the cap off.

So if anyone has some insight to this, please chime in. I bought it on a whim and it turned out to be much better than I expected. But every once in a while, it seems that the fired pellet will clip something as it travels through the barrel, and in the worst case it even throws sparks.

I believe a .177 may have found its way into the baffles and is the root of the problem, by becoming a "bridge" between the fired pellet and the baffles.
The rifle is retired until I get this sorted out.

Thanks all!

FX Maverick Sniper vs Compact - What's your choice?

FX Maverick Airgun

The FX Maverick is purpose-built from the ground up with heavier pellet and slug shooting in mind. The Maverick features the largest power plenum yet on an FX rifle with the latest FX innovation, dual regulators!

The Dual FX AMP Regulators are brilliant in their concept and execution. The first regulator pre-reduces the pressure in preparation for the second regulator. This provides less stress on the second regulator and achieves a more constant output pressure with fewer standard deviations. Both AMP Regulators can be adjusted externally and should be adjusted in harmony with each other (maintaining a 30-40 BAR difference between the 1st & 2nd regulator).

The Dual Regulators work in tandem with the large 89cc Power Plenum. This large plenum, paired proportionately with the correct porting and valving, allows for a more consistent working pressure to be delivered. FX Maverick owners also have the option of picking up the FX Maverick Slug Power Kit. This kit includes a heavier hammer and slug pin probes that allow for even more power and velocities for heavier projectiles.

The Maverick utilizes the same rear power adjuster that was first introduced with the FX Wildcat MKIII. This breakthrough hammer adjuster allows for both micro and macro adjustments using the same dial which allows the Maverick to be fully adjusted in harmony with the Dual AMP Regulators for the chosen caliber and projectile.

Like all modern FX Airguns, the Maverick utilizes the world-class Smooth Twist X (STX) Interchangeable Barrel & Liner System. All FX Mavericks ship with Superior STX Standard liners, perfect for shooting pellets, hybrid slugs, and lighter weight slugs. Additional liners are available to tailor to different projectiles.

The Maverick has a more tactical body which will allow for aftermarket components to be added for further customization. All Mavericks have 20 MOA built into the picatinny scope rail, multiple picatinny accessory rails, standard AR grips and feature the rear FX buttpad. The FX Maverick has a customizable platform with the FX world-class accuracy and adjustability you have come to expect. It delivers all the accuracy and power that the FX Impact offers, but at a lower price point. The Maverick itself will remind shooters of both the FX Impact and FX Wildcat. Like a perfect blend of the two rifles, it offers the absolute best of both worlds.

Other  "Sub MOA all day" Challenge

"Sub MOA all day" is a phrase I think we hear alot on this forum. Most of us take that with a grain of salt as we understand the reality of that all the time isn't realistic. This video was just posted on a thread about long distance with pellets.

It's about Sub MOA guarantees and how most manufacturers only need to shoot 1 3 shot group Sub MOA to meet their guarantee but the reality is its only one group not multiple in a row.

It got me thinking let's do a challenge.
Lets do 4 separate 5 shot groups in a row on one paper/target. Nothing else. No sighter groups or anything. 50yd minimum and whatever gun you got. If you don't have 50yds do whatever your max distance is. I know people practice EBR and do this often at 100yds but this is just for fun. See what our guns and we can do. Especially for those who aren't competition shooters. Let us know whatever gun you used and ammo and speed. Not calling anyone out at all with this, this is just a let's have fun with it and see what we can do.

I'll start with a target I did the other day. Taipan Veteran Long .22 JTS 18gr at 915fps. 50yds. I will be trying this at both 75yds and 100yds when time permits. Probably try my Evol Mini which I tuned to 12fpe at 50yds for fun.

RMAC/PYA/NAC card 250 with a lot of xs.

Thomas slug gun and new high bc slugs.

Light wind topping out at no more than 5.

This is the very first card I have shot at 100 (with these slugs). edit I shot a single 25 shot group yesterday in pretty heavy wind.

The worst shot still broke the n50 9 with the plug. The inside of the N50 9 is smaller than the RMAC 10.

Brocock/BRK  For those of you trying to decide between a Brocock Atomic/Ranger and a Pathfinder.

When I was trying to decide if a small Brocock was worth purchasing because I already had a FX Dreamline Tactical and was not sure how they would stack up in size as a backpack gun. I could find dimensions but not a photo comparison of the three guns.
So I am posting these photos to possibly help another prospective buyer decide what size would be right for them. There are plenty of posts on the performance stats of these guns but a visual of their comparative size would have helped me out making my decision.

DIMENSIONS ARE OPEN WITH STOCK NOT EXTENDED AND FOLDED. As you can see not a huge difference from the Dreamline.

Atomic. - 24 1/2“. And 16”

Pathfinder - 26 1/2”. And 18”

FX. - 29 1/2”. And 21 1/2”

Kalibrgun  What have you heard about KalibrGun?

Hello everyone, I'm a new member!

I heard a rumor that Snipe II has no equal up to 150 m.

I have heard not very good reviews about Snipe I, I don’t know how things are with the second model. I'll have it soon!

What are the main criteria for testing a rifle? What should I pay attention to first?

I'll definitely let you know!
