So March will be the target date. Price $999 for synthetic and $1149 for walnut... With Barra and JTS making a similar rifle going to be interesting to see shot count and different styles...the Barra and JTS looks more interesting with the bolt action. Definitely be watching the reviews on all these guns as they come in .....

  • Question
Cheap PCP vs mid end springer?

im looking to buy another new airgun (makes 5 this year I think...) im not looking to spend a ton of money on this one, Im thinking about $350 is going to be my limit. on the PCP side of things, the avenger is looking dang good, but what springer would anyone recommend at this price point? I have a couple gamos and a couple crosman break barrels and yea im not super impressed, not disappointed, just not impressed. would the Beeman r7 be a good option? I should probably add that the main use for this new gun would be small game hunting and pest control at moderate distances. are any of the Diannas any good?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Vulcan 3 700mm 22cal

This rifle is not quite a year old. I bought it from Derrick where he tuned it for me. It shoots the 34gr varmint knockers excellent. It will not come with scope or bipod. I will throw in what slugs I have left for it. Probably about 800. I am just trying to downsize and get my son a ghost carbine for hunting and plinking. I just bought a STO Pugio for it(not included in price of gun). This is an unchoked barrel.

$1200 plus shipping in lower 48.

Inheritance

On occasion we receive emails like this "I've just inherited a large collection of airguns, and I'm looking for someone or somewhere to sell them".

Obviously, we can't allow them to sell the collection in the Classified forum as they have not met the minimum requirements.

The question at hand is...

Should we offer some type of "informational only" post for local viewing?
  • Location/zip code
  • Inheritance items (no prices/no sales)
  • If a buyer is willing to drive to the location only then will an Admin provide the contact information

Please chime in to share your thoughts and any other options you think might benefit this group.

Thanks

Mother of All Data Breaches

26 Billion Records Leaked, Users of LinkedIn, X, Venmo And More Panic Over Increased Cybercrime Risk

Link to article

1706630833646.png

If you use a computer, your data likely got leaked in what researchers have called the mother of all data breaches.

Twenty brands have had over 100 billion leaked records, with the largest being Tencent's 1.5 billion. Brands more familiar to Western consumers such as LinkedIn, X, Venmo, Canva, Apollo and Adobe have also been hit. Cybernews Head of Security Research Mantas Sasnauskas summed up the scale of the shocking breach, saying "Probably the majority of the population have been affected."

"The dataset is extremely dangerous as threat actors could leverage the aggregated data for a wide range of attacks," the researchers told the New York Post. It should be noted that usernames and passwords were included in the leak.

This can be especially dangerous for those who use the same password across different accounts. If a hacker knows an email and password combination on Netflix, for example, they might logically start with that combination in an attempt to gain access to more sensitive data, such as getting access to e-mail and banking accounts.

This particularly dangerous attack is called credential stuffing, where a hacked individual can have their accounts compromised across multiple services in just a few moments, leaving behind a much more devastating trail of destruction.

What would anyone even do with $26 billion dollars worth of stolen data records? According to Sasnauskas, the dataset may have been created in an attempt to build a criminal marketplace for sensitive information. Perhaps for broader distribution on the dark web, where malicious actors can buy the leaked data to prospect potential victims for their cybercrimes.

Kind of ironic as this News came from Yahoo (who is notorious for data breaches).

In regards to the Airgun Nation forum - We don't want to give the Scammers any reason to visit, re-visit, or target anyone on Airgun Nation. The typical Scammer either targets WTB ads, or takes over a vetted members account whose email has been compromised by a shared username & password.

Here's a few tips to help keep you, your friends, and fellow AGN members safe:
  • Always use a strong password. If your password isn't strong, please strengthening it
  • Consider using 2FA (two-factor authentication). We suggest a 2FA app like Google Authenticator (2FA via email doesn't work well as many ISP's block websites that include the word "gun"). Our 2FA is configured to ask for device authentication once every 30 days, and it works really well.
  • Always research every buyer/seller before engaging in any transaction
  • Never use the same password across different accounts
  • Report any suspicious accounts immediately by going to the members profile and clicking the Report button

FX  M3 has a small leak somewhere

I took my m3 out to shoot a few shots Just to see if everything is ok and it seems not too, 3weeks since last time i shot it and now med 2nd reg has lost 20bar.
And now comes the question, it went down from 150 to 130 in 3 weeks, probably not a big leak, but my 1st reg still at 180, thats the thing i dont understand, if it leaks after 2nd reg shoudnt it Just keep filling up until 1st reg is down to 150 also?
So where do I start to look?

Help me decide....Target gun Purchase

I'm getting ready to make a purchase on my next airgun. I shoot paper (for fun) 90% of the time. I have it narrowed down to two choices... I would appreciate any input.

IZH 46M
best accuracy & no Co2

Crossman Custom shop,2240 w/Lothar barrel & long steel breech.
Accuracy should be good with the Lothar barrel. Is the metering precise enough for top accuracy?
Looks & price are better IMHO

Decisions decisions.

HW/Weihrauch  How can I service my tuned weihrauch air rifle?

If you've seen my previous posts you can see I have a tuned weihrauch hw77k, I think the stock is custom aswell. I don't use it so its sitting inside the case for majority of the time.

My problem is how would I get it serviced every few years if its tuned and custom. Is there any risk of the internals being ruined if I send it to a local Air rifle shop to service it instead of the person who tuned it. I bought it off someone else and I live far from the person who tuned it. I don't think I can even get their details either.

FX  Impact Trigger block

Has anyone had to replace their trigger block on their impact? If you did have much was it? I'm having a heck of a time removing the Oring in the regulator bore. It is known to be a real PITA! I think my problem is I think it's the original one from 2019 and has gotten real hard. I'm afraid I might have scratched the bore or groove with my brass Oring pick.

FX  FX M-set it and forget it

Figured I would share an overview of a recent project because I think a lot of shooters try to achieve something similar but always have to settle or compromise a little. I’ll try not to bore anyone but I have to set this up. Every year I travel to my camp in another state to hunt deer. I always take an airgun for down time fun shooting and hunting if I get a deer. I’ve found myself over gunned and I’ve found myself under gunned over the years. Then I found myself traveling with two or three guns. This year I had my M3 on a trip as a fantastic pellet gun. It took care of business. Until I started having late night coyote episodes across from my camp. My pellet tune had head shot accuracy to 100 yards. After that, and I mean shortly after that, the pellet gets seriously drunk. The coyotes were always 130-190 yards away. I had a pack of slugs with me and burned through all of them one day trying to find a slug setting that I was confident with. It didn’t happen. The next trip I just took my .30 RTI that has a pellet/slug tune with a FX liner. But a .30 is a cannon of a plinker so I wanted to figure something out with my little M3. The second all the seasons were done and the weather went to poop, I put on my thinking cap and dug into my barrel collection. I wanted to have the gun set on an efficient accurate slug tune and also be able to shoot hunting pellets without touching a thing. Definitely not the valve knob and preferably not even the hammer wheel. I wanted to run the optimum tune for everything. I knew the slug I wanted to use but after so many hours jumping from the lathe to prone position in the shop to shoot, I just couldn’t get it and pellets to work. I am waiting on another custom reamer and I will try it again on another barrel. So then I switched to another slug and started trying to find a compromise with it and pellets. Back to pulling the barrel out of the lathe, sliding it in the gun and shooting to the back corner of the shop 50 yards away. After quite a few evenings, it was time for some serious shooting. What I have is at 128b and I touch nothing to shoot one slug, three hunting pellets and two dome plinking or shoot impressive group pellets. The 30gr slug is going 920fps. All slugs group on a 1.5” spinner at 100 yards. Hades/Atomics are going 940fps and one .45 cal hole at 50 yards. H&N 27.47 HP are 938fps and all touch at 50 yards. H&N Baracuda Extremes are 914fps and all touch at 50 yards. I haven’t shot the 25.39 or 33.95’s yet for groups but I would be shocked if they didn’t do great. I might have to click the wheel one or two clicks for the 25.39. I will check that later because now I’m in the practical shoot phase. I have been Window Willy Critter Sniper with the slugs. Floating between 40 and 88 yards popping stuff. Checking first shot consistency and how many shots until the gun opens up. Then I will pull some patches and see how the pellets do. This gun is my hunting gun. Giant paper punching scope came off and it’s back to how I hunt with it. Internally it’s stock except for some plenum work so my first shot is within spec and a blueprinted second reg. So now that I no longer have to get my hands dirty, I will just keep testing to see if any issues pop up. Mainly POI issues with the slugs. I already know that if I mix shooting pellets and slugs, the slugs open up more quickly so a couple patches are necessary when I switch. Going from a goo barrel slug gun to pellets? They don’t really care at hunting distances. I will also start stretching the pellets out to see when they start getting woozy. Just 2 pics. One of hopefully my favorite small/medium game gun. And one of my mistress. Well at least that’s what my girlfriend called my lathe for the last month.

Other  Scope Power/Less = OK

With my spring powered guns I generally shoot and hunt 50 yards an under.
My preference has always been for something 6-10 power(and often a 4x is just fine) . As long as the scope is clear and parallax adjustable I have never found myself to shoot smaller groups with higher powered scopes if the aiming point is clear. On one of my antique Schuetzen powder burners I shoot at 200 yd. recently I went from an 8 power to a 14 power and my groups were the same...( Granted it is not a .25 MOA gun but about .50- .75 moa when shooting well.

Maybe I'm the only one, but some people seem to think that You need a 36x power scope to shoot a decent group at close range.....
