sorry the fps numbers are a bit hard to read, I did the chart on my phone and didn't realize my phone was in dark mode. I have spent so much time working on this gun to get a tune what would work and met my expectations on both shot count, and FPE, and here it is. the long and short of it is I have 2 O-Rings under my top-hat (the top-hat is adjusted to the optimal position relative to the bolt) with the power wheel set to 12 in the slot and 1 on the wheel. I have tried a ton of O-Ring combinations and until today non of them have worked out very well. I was working on a JSB hades tune when I decided to give the 25.39 gr pellets a try, I should mention this is a 22 caliber Airgorce TalonP with an 18inch barrel. the hades tune was about 28 FPE but the velocity was all over the place, I may end up picking up the top-hat kit if I want to tune for lighter pellets like the hades, but this tune right here...my goal is 50 yards and in, with the occasional 100 target plinking, and I think this tune will make that happen.

If cheap PCP China built guns are just as accurate as others worth 4 times the price, what are the advantages?

I'm in the market for a new top of the line PCP such as an FX, Brocock, Daystate etc. From my research, they're all built with top grade billet aluminum, smooth side action and are light well balanced units.

What is the catch, warranty? Availability of parts?

It's been a while since I've had the chance to remove this many in a short amount of time. Killed the first 4 in less than 20 seconds and the last 2 I had to get a bit closer too since they hid in the mulch mounds they are burrowing in.

I’ve been comparing the Springer vs the Pumper. A fair comparison to me is the Weihrauch HW30 and the Benjamin 392. Maybe the 397 (177 caliber) would be even better but the 392 (22 caliber) is the closest I have. My HW30 and 392 are equipped pretty much exactly the same. Both have a bit heavier SC Custom stock, Nikon scope and aluminum rings. The weight difference is 7 ounces. The HW30 being the heavier. The 30 is also a couple inches longer. The 30 sends a 7 grain pellet at a touch over 700fps or 7.62fpe while the 392 sends a 14.3 grain pellet at 740 fps or 17.39fpe. Accuracy is incredible with both however the HW30 with its wonderful trigger and a single stroke cocking cycle would certainly have the advantage for a 10 meter offhand league competition. When shooting further out for plinking, pesting or just long range shooting the 392 takes over. And the trigger on the 392 can be tuned to a crispy couple pounds. The cocking effort on the 392 to me is offset with the wonderful recoilless firing behavior. This actually makes the 392 much easier and forgiving to get accuracy in any position. Many have both. What’s your take?

Just getting back into air rifles. I shot mine using the chrony yesterday. I have the old style where you have to shoot over the chrony between the poles that holds the sunshades. Because I was shooting under the cover of a roof the chrony at the end of the bench a few feet from the muzzle would not record the shot. So I had to place the chrony about 5-7 yards into the range in the sunlight to get readings. When reporting velocity of the pellet the number provided by manufacturers, retailers and I assume owners is "muzzle" velocity. Question: Does the distance of 5-7 yards significantly impact the velocity number to be less than the number generally published by the above? I am not discussing different pellets producing different performance stats-just the chrony distance from the muzzle. Obviously if the chrony is 25 yards away the stats are the terminal velocity and you will probably have a "terminal" chrony at some point.

AOA has been selling a collection. Four were barely used 10 meter pistols. They still have a Walther listed. I can’t say no to anything built by Feinwerkbau that I can somehow afford. Not a particularly hard shot at 35yds but she put that pellet right where I was aiming which is really all I can hope for on a "cold shot" from a 24fpe .20 cal break barrel

Good condition used HW30S in an older Beeman R7 checkered beech stock. Gun cocks smoothly (no galling), trigger is great, wood is in excellent shape, metal looks good all over; however, the scope rail area has seen typical usage with scratches and wear. I tried to take the best pic of it I could.

Have no idea of velocity, but it's healthy and shoots like an HW30 or R7 is supposed to. Likes the JSB Express and 8.44 Exacts.

While the higher percentage of shots I take on small critters are DRT kills. There are days like today. After a seriously contentious day at work. I bagged three starlings, the first? A DRT lightning strike. The next? A solid thwack, but it glided until it crashed into the side of my barn. The third took two! Shots! And while they where still coming in to the suet cakes I backed off because I clearly was off my game.
