A couple days back I received a package of various springer replacement parts from Chambers, a UK company I've used for many years for such needs. Imagine my astonishment, when the package contained two random used books and nothing else!

The package label listed the correct airgun parts, but they were nowhere to be had. On the underside of the package was a sticker by Royal Mail, cleaved in half already at delivery, that stated something to the effect of: " …found open or damaged and…officially secured", signed off with a twirl. This had to be a scam by someone at the Royal Mail, no?

I contacted Chambers. They replied that this is the second time someone has been sent book(s) after buying airgun-related items from Chambers. Someone at Royal Mail is stealing airgun parts and switching the contents to used books! The parts I ordered totaled about 90 GBP (+ VAT and fees). The used books I received are worth maybe 10 GBP on a good day. There's the profit for the thieving scum.

I had already speculated that the thief would target deliveries to outside the UK, for a lower chance of someone taking action against Royal Mail and the thief within. This was corroborated when I learned the other victim was also not in the UK.

Chambers quickly assembled a replacement package with all the parts there. They have been exemplary through this mess. Let's just hope the same guy who stole my earlier parts is not on duty at Royal Mail Overseas Department when the time comes.

Chambers will have my case as evidence for demands towards Royal Mail.

Man, I hate thieves!

Many here consider me an FX " Hater" because of negative comments i put forward from time to time.

Well.... i am definitely NOT a "hater" , but i will continue to criticise any aspect i feel could be improved.

Anyway ....... Since implementing my barrel mods some time ago , the enjoyment factor has increased greatly . I have been shooting daily for a while and have been very happy with the results.
I have left the M3 stored for the past week. This morning i pulled it out and set up to shoot some 5 shot groups at 100yds. My routine before firing groups is to shoot 10 shots to settle ...then proceed to shoot the groups.
Shot 3 consecutive 5 shot groups at the 3 plates..... VERY happy with the results..... POI spot on as it was when i put it away and group size is excellent..
Slugs are my favourite NSA 27.5gr .218" @ 1060fps

So ..yeah i definitely " Hate " FX..

I had credit 100 dollars from Wolfiek group , So I said well just send me 5 tins of 177 ,10.35 pellets 2,500 pellets. The pellets look just like JSB Hades which shoot great in my 177 guns , Vulcan, Uragan, Prophet, Well the Edgun pellets shoot like a shotgun in all my guns?????? I am talking a 5 inch group at 48 yards, I have open three tins and its all the same.
They look just like the Hades, The writing on the tins is German I think, If I was guessing H&N made the pellets because my guns do not like H&N pellets , I just thought it was so strange. And a FYI.

Redman barrel liners out of Washington State... Brownells sells them... I was thinking of trying one for a condor slug shooter... They have .223 16 twist and 9twist 25 inch liners $38.00 for 16 twist....$50 .223 9 twist... They have 30 inch liners for $130.00.. They are button rifled and outside diameter .312.. I was going to sleeve with 8mm Id to 12mm OD Cf tube with Airforce barrel bushings and tension with larger 25 mil cf tube..

I have begun to get more curious about field target shooting than is financially responsible. Looks like something I could get into during the hunting off season. My current gear is all suited towards hunting, and I would be looking to put together a combo specifically for ft. As much as I like the tx200, particularly in walnut, the 9.2 lb weight with no scope I think is a bad idea for me. I have been looking at break barrels as of late. So far weight and quality of build the 2 that come to mind are the hw50, and diana 34. Anyone who shoots ft have any positive/negative ideas on either of these rifles for this purpose? I am aware some tuning etc may be needed. Any other suggestions that might be better suited to this task while still keeping weight down?

Is there a spring piston pistol anyone would recommend that's accurate, reasonably powerful (300-400 fps) and not so long it might as well be an sbr/carbine.

Besides buying a HW30, I have sufficient funds for an air pistol. Primary for target shooting but may do some small pesting at close range. 20 yards is my maximum range I can target shoot. Do not want any quality issues now or in the future. Accuracy is second. Durability is third. Do not want to have to service it for years. No PCPs. Deciding between these 2 HW70 and Crossman 2300T . I did see some QA complaints on the Crossman 2300T on Amazon. However, please recommend another that would fit my criteria. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hey guys I’m looking to try tuning my 700mm impact m3 in .25 cal for slugs again (tried before but never could get anything to shoot better than 1” at 50 yards). I was just thinking before I rip the gun apart and put the heavy hammer slug kit back in it is there any certain weight of slug that I can shoot without it? I was hoping to shoot something under 34 grains to keep my shot count up. hoping some of the nsa 29 or maybe the zans will be ok. I have both the stx and the heavy stx liners as well, is the pellet liner a better twist rate the lighter slugs?

anyways any help is appreciated, im just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I dive down the rabbit hole of slugs again lol

also how do you determine your second reg pressure? Some people are over 150 bar when I can get the same speeds at like 115-120 bar. Why set it so high If you don’t need to be?

I’ve just successfully downsized my airgun collection by about 60%. I did this because I don’t have the time to shoot, and they were just taking up space. I kept the few guns I know I’ll use (a small game/target springer, a small game pcp, two predator guns, and a big game gun) and got rid of the rest. It’s a great feeling, to clear out the excess.

Then I see this AEA Megalodon. A compact, pump-action big bore. It’s silly, because I so, so, soooooo don’t need it. But I want it. I want to blow up cans with it and ring steel with it and toss it in the car and take it up to Vermont in the fall to hunt whitetail. I want to invite my PB friends over and watch their jaws hit the ground when they send out six rounds downrange as fast as they can pump the thing. I want that quick shooting, 400+FPE beast in my safe just in case, if you know what I mean. I want the stupid thing. Bad.

But I don’t need it, and I’m hoping one of you will talk me out of it. I know asking this forum to convince me not to buy a new airgun is like asking my wife to convince me to cheat on her. But I have to try. Maybe one of you will say the thing I need to hear.

What do you use for inletting black? Lamp? Make your own? Recipe? Buy it?

I set up this little hw50 as a lightweight shooter for WFTF Field target for my dad. I was going through some pellet testing today and wasn't having much success. Indoor, 10 yard, benched on sandbags and i couldn't get anything to group tighter than about 3/8. To make the cocking a little easier, i installed a carbon fiber tube which is much longer than the barrel. (I never measured, but probably about 9" longer.) The tube is just held in place by a half dozen orings that are slipped over the top of the barrel, then i pushed the tube onto the barrel. The groups went from 3/8" to 1/4" (which is acceptable for a springer on a bench imo). I removed the shroud a few times and tested with and without the shroud. Always the same, 3/8 no shroud, 1/4 with the shroud. There's nothing in the shroud from the end of the barrel to the end of the shroud. So, what the heck has happened here?
I figure it's either improved harmonics, or the carbon fibre tube is somehow acting like an air stripper. Either way, the tube is staying! I'd be interested to hear some theorycrafting as to why this happened.

HW50 177, Vortec 4 kit installed, running JSB 844 at 685fps for 8.8fpe. (Yes it's a bit low for FT, but it's a sweet shooter at that energy level, and easier to cock.)

Looking for info from guys that have deleted the front reg on the m3. I realize that if you take time between shots 2 regs are fairly consistent but is 1 reg better? Im shooting 38 gr h& n 25 cal @ 925 front reg 160 rear 150 and close to max on stock hammer and spring. 600 mm barrel

I’m in the market for another moderator for new Katran that on its way … Does anyone have any info on the airmaks mod? design ? Or should I go with the huma mod 40? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated…. I couldn’t find the info I was looking for in regards to the airmaks , the website just says “for airguns only and 1/2 inch unf”.

I'm looking for recommendations on a bottle to store my Ballistol in with a pen dropper that does not leak every. Anyone have one they use that they are 100% satisfied with? I have attached a picture of what I am looking for.

This groundhog was on the move! He was traveling from left to right in pretty tall grass, while he was eating the tasty tops of grass. At this distance with the Hybrid Slugs, I needed to go for a headshot, as I'd be dropping this guy in like to bottom of a rainbow. I made a spot on wind call, and tried to drop it straight in the ocular, but I think my laser rangefinder metered the tall grass just in front of the whistle pig, so the shot landed an inch low from the eyeball, and it wrecked it's jugular and put it down for the count.

Shot with the FC Maverick VP .30cal shooting FX Hybrids at 940fps. The ATN X-Sight 5 5-25 LRF did the ballistic and recording duties, and I exercised the features of the newest firmware to record at 240 fps, which I then slowed down to 480 fps in post for some pretty nice slow motion.

I took my piston down to a local O-ring company a with there help came up with two o-rings that I thought would work like on the piston that sells for 25.00. It worked I have air again. the size is 1.5x33mm. 2 simple o-rings less than 1 dollar total. Hope this helps other airgunners here.
