I love you all! It has been a terrific ride! It is now time to begin my exit and move on.....

Across this forum and experiencing this hobby for more than two decades, it has been a privilege to interact with so many of you in so many terrific ways. We have learned from each other and shared countless hours of shooting together, generating and sharing information, and spreading the gospel regarding this terrific sport.

Those of you that have visited me know that my outdoor range has been one of envy to most, in a subdivision, but supported by terrific neighbors, where even though I work a busy schedule and demanding job, I was able to walk out the door and shoot in most any conditions, covered, and easily accessible.

Over the last few days, as three more new homes have broken ground, children and pets are becoming more prevalent, and new neighbors that I have not met are moving into homes proximate to my range that I don't know, I figure it is only now a matter of time before the police show up at my door due to the noise of pellets banging targets, or an errant shot from a high power pcp causes an issue I will forever regret. I assess risks of various types for a large construction company each and every day. And when I am truly objective, I know I have been pushing the envelope for too long as it is. It is now time to pull up the back yard range targets and backstops, and I intend to complete that task this weekend.

And while I belong to a beautiful private rifle range only 20 minutes away, the 30 minutes it takes on each end to pack and unpack, the planning that goes into making time available from a demanding job and the priorities of a beautiful family, and working in between scheduled range events, the spontaneous fun I have been so privileged to enjoy with this hobby is now no longer in play.

One of my problems in life is that I am an "all in or all out" kind of guy. To this end, I wish to thank each of you very much for your friendships and sharing of your expertise, but it is time to move on to other things life has to offer.

Those of you that have followed-up my posts and reviews over the years, know that I have a vault that contains nothing but very meticulously tuned and super accurate air rifles. That is all that I have left. The mediocre and very good rifles were weeded out over time to where all that are left are spectacular and dependable performers. Over the next days, weeks, and months, I intend to begin offering them up to enthusiasts that will appreciate them and continue to put them to great use. These rifles beg and deserve to be shot.

It will take me considerable time to go through and sort out all of the seal kits and parts that I have accumulated to service my rifles and those of others, but little by little I will offer the parts and accessories I have accumulated over time, including more than 200,000 pellets and slugs.

Will I keep anything? Yes, I do intend to keep three or four of the rifles that mean so much to me, including my first .22 Air Arms S410, a Weihrauch HW97.20 that will shoot 10 shot groups averaging less than an inch at 50 yards, a super accurate Charlie Frear tune .22 Cricket long, and maybe one other rifle, but all less than 40 FPE and all "backyard friendly." That leaves about 18 or 19 other rifles including a Panthera, Skout, King, multiple Wolverines, a fantastic Red Wolf, BRK rifles, multiple RAWs, and well you get the idea. I will keep a Joe Brancato Great White 97 cu ft tank and my Alkin W31 air compressor.

I can't thank you all enough for your terrific friendships. A particular thanks to Ken Hicks at SPAW, Bin at the Pellet Shop, the Skout team, all of the AOA Team, Pyramid Air, Charlie Frear, the UTAH Air Guns team, Tom at Vortek, and of course Martin and Sandra Rutherford of now Airguns USA. There are too many to thank and I don't mean to leave any one out.

One final tribute - to Scott Schneider, wonderful gentleman whom I never met personally, but performed fair and terrific services for me on several occasions, and helped me learn a lot along the way.

Thanks to each and everyone of you on this forum who have been so terrific to associate with.

Hate to say it..JSB

I guess I need to find a permanent solution to the pellet problems I'm having with JSB.
Now, even the FX branded JSB's I ordered in .22 25.4 Are having issues.
Not so much with the skirt or head size.
But the cavity of the skirt measures 2.33 mm (new fx) and 3mm for the supposed same FX pellet I ordered a few months ago.
There is no indication when ordering or on the tin which version you are getting. I had issues with one of my .22's shooting the jts in this weight with a shallow depth, but the deep skirt FX's were spot on. I don't know what is happening over there but I think it's time to move on. After finding ton's of screwed up looking JSB's a few years back I went with the FX rebrand and was happy about the change.
I'll test them but I was hoping the FX rebrands would keep to the older styles as all the other jsb's now aren't actually the original redesigned pellets.

Bunny Busted

Finally had enough of old Bugs and gave him the dirt nap. He's been chewing the hastas and momma said light him up next time I see him.

I was jonesin to get my 3622 out to try some 18s and see how they do. The gun has been naked for the last week since I'm finishing up the stock. I tossed it in my 2260 pcp stock so I could scratch the itch.

They didn't perform as desired, so I switched back to baracuda match 5.52s and zeroed for 35. As I was putting my stuff away, I noticed the rabbit was hanging by my kids playset about 10 yards away.

I aimed for the face as he was looking right at me, but I didn't account for the trajectory, and hit him in the throat. He did the Derp sit up and roll over like most rabbits do on a body shot.

I noticed he was gasping and not dead so I adjusted my POA and hit him in the nose and out the center of the back of his noggin.

Double Oil/Water Filters

So today being My first day with a PCP Rifle, I was wondering if using 2 inline Filters will hurt or Hinder? I purchased one of those "Chiwanese" pumps and it has one small filter on it. By adding a second will it damage the Pump? I don't want to mess anything up. What say you folks that have been doing this a while? Thanks in advance.
Grant.

FX  Dreamline has its First Failure

I was handling the DreamTac this morning and took a look at the pressure gauge on the front of the tube (sigh). No pressure. Checked the regulator pressure. 120 bar, as set. Okay. Pretty sure this means the leak is at the fill port or the front gauge. It's a bummer, but the gun is 3 years old and has operated flawlessly until now. Guess I'll fill it again tomorrow and see if I can determine the source of the leak. But maybe it's just time to tear her down, inspect and reseal. Now where did I put my replacement o-rings?

Working towards that elusive 250 …

Our outdoor season is upon us and our 3rd N50 match is this Saturday. I’ve been practicing as much as time allows which is about twice a week. My first 250 card has been eluding me but I’m not giving up. My gun is much more capable than I am but I have high expectations that practice and diligence will eventually pay off. I read this forum and scores from other matches out west and it seems that 250s are the norm for many and I admire those skills from afar. I realize that 250’s don’t come by luck but it comes down to who can read the wind and time their shot releases appropriately. That is the skill set that I admire most and am working on the hardest.

This is my highest card to date, shot a couple days ago but it was only in practice, which really doesn’t count for record. Bull #15 could be a 9 too which would drop the score to a 248. Our backer board was pretty shot up and that hole got elongated.

Odd gimmick stuff you cant help but click on

Came across an Umarex rifle I couldn't help but click on out of confusion based curiousity. The tactical styled, collapsible stock, h/k mp7 replica in a low velocity break barrel single shot format. Under 500 fps in .177 it has little practical use or entertainment value.

What kind of strange/borderline useless stuff have you guys come across searching the web?

PCP Rifle  SOLD SPF - AEA SF Compact .22 cal Semi-Auto or Bolt Action PRICE DROP

I have a very lightly used AEA SF Semi Auto Compact that needs to go to make room for other projects. I just put two magazines (JSB 18 grain) through her with no chops or jams, and she has held air since last March ('23) when I packed her for the move to Florida.

$600 $500 includes shipping in the lower 48. PayPal preferred. If you don't want F&F then you pay the fees. Life has happened and it's time to let some things go to make room for other things.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Sheridan 5mm with rocker safety

Selling a rifle I'm never going to use so it may as well find a new home. Older Sheridan 5mm. I bought it from Ebay a number of years ago. Was supposed to be freshly resealed. I have no ammo for it but it does hold air and shoot. Always stored with 1 pump in it.
Has some pitting on one side of the barrel. Also someone apparently tried to glue a peep sight on it. I tried to show it in the pics. Doesn't appear to be any barrel separation.

Asking $170 shipped in the CONUS.
Paypal F&F or USPS money order.

Stoeger  Stoeger X20 S2 - big question

I have a new to me Stoeger X20, and I'm afraid the baffles have been damaged.
I'd like to replace them, but I don't know if the end cap of the shroud is removable, and since parts are as scarce as hens teeth, I don't want to "Bubba" it trying to get the cap off.

So if anyone has some insight to this, please chime in. I bought it on a whim and it turned out to be much better than I expected. But every once in a while, it seems that the fired pellet will clip something as it travels through the barrel, and in the worst case it even throws sparks.

I believe a .177 may have found its way into the baffles and is the root of the problem, by becoming a "bridge" between the fired pellet and the baffles.
The rifle is retired until I get this sorted out.

Thanks all!
