Accessories  NLA RARE FIND!!! MARAUDER TERYX CHASSIS'S (NEW OLD STOCK) $120 SHIPPED

(Only a couple left) I have come across a few (NEW OLD STOCK) MARAUDER TERYX CHASSIS'S. These were lost in storage after RAI purchassed the business. These are for the gen 1 marauder. These retailed for $325.00 back in the day. Rare find! Last chance, These are the only ones left in existence! Very adjustable! Trigger length of pull is adjustable. Length of pull is adjustable also (when adjustable AR stock is installed). Best of all, it brings the weight back, giving a much improved balance. All are anodized od green. You may find some imperfection in the powder coating, minimal if any. This is due to the fact that they have been in storage for years and, he moved business locations through the years (how they were lost). All are in excellent condition. Only have a couple left. $120.00 shipped. "THE COMPLETED STOCK ON THE DISPLAY GUN IN PICS IS ALSO FOR SALE"

Sig Sauer  ASP20 Shootout: .177 vs .22

20240412_170713.jpg

Ok so I'm going to preface this by saying I probably shouldn't post this. The wind is howling and pushing 20mph here at the moment and my groups definitely suffered for it. I was just so excited to finally be able to shoot my new .177 ASP20 that I couldn't wait until next week to do so. This whole weekend looks like rain and wind so at least I got to shoot with some day light today. Anyway, let's go...

20240406_153938.jpg

First up was the .177 cal. Its new so it got the honors. I'm thoroughly impressed to be honest. It managed to average 1.6 MOA over 5 groups which I am very happy given the conditions. I was able to hold off for lulls in the wind for most of my shots but by group 5 I just couldn't any more. It was non stop.

The .22 wasn't so lucky. I actually expected this gun to do much better in the wind AND IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE HAD I LOOKED AT MY NOTES. I knew it liked the 15.9gr pellets, the problem is I thought it preferred the Normas which is what I shot here. Turns out, its a JSB gun. Oops. I also can't count to 5 apparently because only shot 4 groups. That wass probably for the best though because 👎

20240412_173251.jpg

EDIT:

Out of fairness to the .22, I shot 4 more groups with the right pellet. Much better and probably would have improved a bit more with a real POA instead of just a general one.

Daisy  The old Daisy 25

THE OLD DAISY 25

In the spring of 1968, a cherished heirloom was passed down to me – a 1934 Daisy 25 BB gun, a symbol of tradition and trust. My grandpa, with his farm weathered hands and tall statue, gave it to me on my ninth birthday. It was more than just a gift; it was a rite of passage, the belief in my growing maturity. The gun, with its stained wood and patina blue metal, felt like a piece of history in my hands, a link to his past and the adventures my grandpa had shared with me in his stories of when he was my age.

The farm was my playground, and with the BB gun in hand, it transformed into a land of endless possibilities. I remember the first time I aimed at an old tin can on top of a fence post, the satisfying 'ping' as the BB found its mark. It wasn't just about hitting the target it was about learning responsibility, understanding the weight of the tool in my hands, as i was taught following him, my dad and brothers hunting. He taught me to respect the land, safety and respecting the power it held. My grandpa watched me from the porch, a silent giant, always there to guide but letting me find my own way.

Days on the farm were long and filled with the kind of fun that didn't require much more than an open field and a curious mind. I'd venture out at dawn, the BB gun in hand, and explore the barn and yard, the woods that bordered our land. And Birds chirped overhead, and I'd wait for them to land. My grandpa had taught us boys. Rats, mice, sparrows, and starlings where the enemies Always have choice words for them. If I were to find one, I'd take careful aim. Hopefully, I hit my mark, and countless small critters were taken with that old 25. I can see why grandpa alway had it leaning in the corner of the barn.

It was a companion on those solitary forays into the feild, a reminder of my grandpa's trust and the lessons he instilled in me.

The BB gun now a part of my own story. Each dent and scratch it indured was a memory, of the joy, of growing up on a southern Idaho farm

Need a little frontal lobotomy 101

So I have an FX 400 royale with a couple of 300 and a 500 cc tank the 500 is too long to fit on it with a moderator that came on the gun even if you take it out of the stock is Still doesn’t want to go. I’ve got this really nice carbon fiber bottle brand new no valve and I’m wondering if the valve in the FX will change over to this valve the FX valve has no holes for a spanner wrench or removal tool. I’ll post a couple of pictures of both them side-by-side. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Other  Take Jet's challenge

Got a new to me PCP last week . It is old , but was NIB and was never even opened . Had nothing but trouble from it , now a week later , a few new parts , and tearing it apart a dozen times , it actually functions and shoots very very well 😎.

Bought to hunt and mostly plink with , got this one as i can carry it on my Ebike when i run my Shepherds everyday . I just retired . It serves that purpose well

As a test , ill take a new plinker , yes this is NOT a 4k target gun , lol , and throw on a bipod , plunck it on my wobbly outside table and shoot 20 shots at a 1 inch target , scoring as you see written on the target . Front pod , shouldered , fairly quick shots as in a hunting situation . No mulligans , one target only , outside not indoor range . Hunting scope, 2-12 . Today was 75 F and 5-10 mph mild wind .

What yall think for a hunter/plinker ???
I feel she did exceeding well considering wind , caliber , and just a 18 dollar Amazon bipod , lol

Take my challenge , I got 150 out of 200

N/A  Pressure and Accuracy

So I've noticed on a couple of my guns that when the pressure drops, my accuracy will diminish, even though the velocity will stay roughly the same.

Anyone else experience this? It's especially noticeable on pistol length barrels, not so much on my rifles.

I will shoot a string over the chrony and see how many shots for a curve, and then test accuracy over that shot count and pressure setting. During the climb of velocity and through the peak, my POI is dead on. As the pressure comes down but the velocity hasn't dropped yet, my POI will shift in the direction of the rifling, and then after the fps starts to slowly drop, the pellets wander high and low.

What gives? I would expect a vertical drop and maybe some drift, but not shot gunning. I've had other guns that the POI will just slowly drop and usually go left or right in a line, running with the spin drift of rifling.

Is this caused by valve dwell since the hammer is hitting harder at the lower pressure, and maybe a longer burst of air is causing turbulence?

Does this airgun exist? A full auto .177 PELLET gun?

I'm trying to find a .177 pellet full auto pistol, smg or rifle.
Is the Hatsan Blitz the only one on other market?

Caliber: .177 / 4.5mm PELLET
Full Auto (semi as well a plus but must be full auto)
Small form factor a plus like pistol or smg
Rifle as last resort.

I can only think of the Hatsan Blitz.

Huben  So I did a thing...

...and it's not 3D printed! 😁

We are not getting away from printing but will start offering some new products that are CNC'd out of aluminum.

This will be a limited release to test the waters but hope we will continue to be able to produce a mix of high quality accessories both in 3D and aluminum.

Additionally, proud to say that we are supporting machinists in the USA 🇺🇲 and will not be outsourcing to China! 💪

Air Venturi  Avenge-X leaks from day one even replacement leaks. Air Venturi refused to fix

UPDATE:

Turns out to be a leak from the fill probe.

I need to find out how to fix that.

I wish I had put a balloon on it weeks earlier.

I have had leaks on my Avenge-X since I received them and I've sent them back to Air Venturi for repair or replacement and Air Venturi sent it back allegedly repaired. I've just now found out that they said that they found no leak when I returned the gun to them for repair of course they never told me that they just sent me the gun back as if it were fixed. I've documented the leaks in numerous photographs that are time and date stamped. The leak has progressed to from 4000 to empty in less than an hour and Air Venturi is telling me "find somebody else to help you (me)". Refusing to honor their warranty. I've had great experiences with Air Venturi in the past and found their support Superior but now I just don't understand how they're telling me to take a hike. I'm not going to accept that. This is the second Avenge-X that I received with leaks and could not be resolved. I tried working closely with Pyramyd Air and Air Venturi to find and fix leak to no avail. I even asked them to sell me a new block or a complete action and they said they don't sell those.

Soaping it down all over failed to reveal any bubbles. The Avenge-X is unusable as it now leaks from 4000 psi to 0 in less than an hour. More like 30 minutes. Nothing audible.

The time and date stamps on the images show the progression of the leak.

This is not a problem with Pyramyd Air, this ball is squarely in Air Venturi's court.

Huben  GK1 .22 or .25

Alright I’m about to order a GK1 finally and am trying to decide which caliber will be best. I will be doing a far amount of pesting and target shooting. I will probably turn it into a mini carbine at some point. Keep in mind my compressor only fills to like 310, so I doubt I’ll be filling it to max. I would like to get at least one mag with decent FPE.

I will likely shoot pellets but I’m curious how well it shoots slugs too.

I cant believe that I held this magnificent rifle in my own two hands!

A couple of days ago, i was visiting a friend to check out some of his springers when he took out a rifle case and layed it down in front of me. As soon as the cover was open and I caught my first glimpse, I knew exactly what I was looking at. "That's a Giffard!!!" He seemed surprised that I knew the rifle. Its a magnificent rifle, powered by carbonic gas ( dry ice was placed into the reservoir and as it went from solid to gas, it created the pressure which the gun uses to propel the round ball that the gun is intended to shoot.) These were produced from the late 1800s - the early 1700s. They were offered in 3 calibers, if I'm not mistaken, 4.5mm, 6mm and 8mm. Tom Gaylor examines one of these rifles in the Pyramid Air Blog

This particular rifle was still holding pressure. My friend said that he received it that way.

For a guy like me, the chance just to handle this wonderful piece of history was an experience that I'll never forget.

Mike Smith, in memory of....

With heavy heart I share that Mike Smith passed away earlier today, from complications from an ongoing battle with cancer.

He was what I refer to as "a field target friend" and that's the context I'm going to keep for this. I'll let his eulogy be at the funeral.

Mike was the man behind "Mike's Dandy Targets" (MDT Targets) which some of you likely own. These were the smaller version of the heavy duty targets that he and Ben Spencer sold as S&S Targets (I believe the S's were Smith and Spencer). And some of you likely own those too. They're the best field targets I've ever personally experienced. He also made and sold "KYL" Know Your Limits targets, and again, they were the best money could buy.

He was a perfectionist at making targets, and also a perfectionist at shooting. Whether it was field target, benchrest, ultimate field target, 10meter, etc, I can't think of anybody here in AZ that has had more perfect scores in ft matches than Mike. He used to shoot what we call "Unlimited" or "Freestyle" class, essentially using a tripod and a laser rangefinder. He shot a lot of perfect matches that way. Some folks gave him grief about the class he was shooting so he jumped over to Hunter class a couple years ago, trading in for a bipod and using his scope to range at 16x. And he shot a lot of perfect scores in Hunter class too. Folks knew that it was gonna get serious when he pulled out that green and gray Thomas, topped with the Khales scope. And that was one of the things I loved about Mike. He was a serious competitor, but still had lots of fun. He'd be laughing and joking and teasing and still get a perfect score. He was a fun guy to be squadded with. And I'll miss not ever getting to shoot a match squadded with him again.

Lots of texts amongst us Arizona field target shooters went out today, and some of them suggested I make a post about Mike, and other's shared a few thoughts about him. I'd like this to be that, a place for any of the field target crowd that would like to, to comment about him.

And I'll start with an experience that my older son still talks about. Mike and I were squadded together at a monthly match at the Perry Pit match site, just south of Flagstaff, AZ. This would have been around 5 years ago, making my son about 5 at the time. Colben hadn't started competing yet, but he'd keep score for me and my squadmate. Throughout the whole match Mike complimented Colben about how good of a score-keeping job he was doing. And of course it was a bit tongue in cheek, but a 5 year doesn't pick up on stuff like that. At the end of the match, Mike presented Colben with a $1 dollar bill and told him he deserved to be paid for keeping score for us the whole match. Coulda been $100 dollar bill for all that 5 year old cared, and Colben would have been just as ecstatic. Mike made Colben's day, and mine too. Since then, and at any match Colben attended with me, Mike would always walk up and shake Colben's hand and treat him like any other "field target friend" despite his young age. Mike was Colben's friend just as much as mine.

Me and Colben are gonna miss Mike at matches.

Air Tanks  SOLD Omega Tank Valve $ 120 Shipped ***REDUCED***

For sale is this APEKS tank valve (7/8" - 14 UNF) removed from a 74 cu ft Omega air tank. The valve works perfectly and the hand wheel is smooth as butter. It is easy to stop the fill exactly where you desire. I bought this tank last winter and have been using it for some time. My problem is that when filling some of my air guns to 300 bar , the pressure needed to bleed the air with a push button bleed valve is a bit much for 68 yr old arthritic fingers. Update : after conferring with a fellow AGN member , the stiff spring has been relieved to a more usable pressure for us normal folks ! As you can see from the pictures , the previous owner resorted to either pliers or vice grips from time to time. I have not had to use such drastic measures with the bleed .Other than that , the valve is 100% and ready to go to work. I am including the tank o-ring as well as protectors for the male foster and the tank inlet. Selling for $135 NOW $120 shipped and insured with tracking to the conus . Non interested in trades or offers at this time. Please deal by pm. Thanks for looking. Herb
