I like projectiles

I have, for real ADD,it affects all aspects of my life,so I am not one to take time to get there. That is the reason I love to shoot. By the time I have my "sight picture" and pull the trigger there is not much time or thought, the more I practice the less time involved in those chores. Simply logical:ROFLMAO:

What should i do for a finish?

Getting close to putting a finish on my 3622, and want some opinions. There are a couple filler spots that would be visible if left in a stain/oil finish, and this wood didn't like tru oil when I tried it, so that out.

I'm thinking of trying a hydro dip film or just sponge camo, but I've done a couple of those and I'd like to try something different.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY THE HATSAN JET!!!

This is just a warning post for everyone to not buy the Hatsan Jet. By far the worst pcp I've ever seen. Gun came looking like it was a return or used item. Had tooling marks all down the barrel, was leaking oil from the receiver and was impossible to sight in. I chalked it up to being a one-off, but the replacement came in the same condition as the first. The top rail is just a faux rail. The picatinny are too small and the dovetail is too deep to mount ANYTHING correctly. When trying to mount on the top pic rail, the brittle plastic just crumbled. Upon contacting Kadden at HatsanUSA and explaining the situation and asking for a refund, I was immediately denied. I was told that "I" modified the gun (the broke off pieces of pic rail) and then they offered to repair at the rate of $50/hr. The repair would have cost more than a gun I don't want. Hatsan customer service has been horrendous. Poor manufacturing and even worse materials used to produce. The barrels are out of wack, the iron sights are unusable along with the top rail and they leak oil out of the box. If you plan on purchasing with the intent of using it as a platform to build your own gun, then you still have to consider the bad materials used to build it. That said, I'm stuck with a brand new gun that has broke off pic rails, leaks oil and will never sight in. A laser sight on the side rail is the only way to plink with it and Pellets are still highly erratic. Steer very clear of this one. If you are debating between jet2 or the Notos, it's the notos all day.

FX  FX Crown barrel experiences ??

Have a mk1 old crown. Was thinking of changing calibers and buying an updated kit. UNTIL I saw what the crown super lite system consisted of. Basically a liner stuffed into a transfer port covered by a shroud. Seriously? I guess it must work but quite honestly seems like a joke to me. I’m leaning toward just buying any other fx barrel kit and using my mk1 shroud. What have your experiences been like with the ultra light system ?

N/A  20fpe springer, or just under, from the factory for FT

So I just found out they shoot FT the next town over, and I'd like to try my skills.

I only have a Diana 460 mag .22, so too powerful and I don't want to use .22 or detune it as it's a great shooter. I've never had or used a PCP, and the only ones I've seen that interest me are unreleased and unproven. A match is 50 shots, maybe more, so a top off would probably be required. Distance is 10-55 yards.

My question is: Is there an accurate under lever, or I guess side lever (I don't want to cock a gun using the barrel), in .177 for a flatter trajectory, that comes in just under 20pfe right out of the box?

I know the top guys are shooting PCPs, but I'm of the opinion that if someone uses inferior equipment, that really separates the wheat from the chaff so to speak.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Traditional Pistol  SOLD Airguns Lot Sale - Great deal!

These belonged to a Veteran (my uncle) that I helped move into a vet's home and he couldn't take them with him so he handed them to me to 'take care of'. All his real guns I have helped him place on consignment at a local GS in the Bay Area. But his airguns are proving to be a challenge to sell.

I'd rather sell all of them at once and preferably in the Bay Area so I don't have to deal with shipping. I'll even throw in holsters and such for free.

Take advantage of me, keep what you want resell the rest. I'm not keeping a cent but passing on the $$ to him.

I'm in the Concord / Walnut Creek area. Willing to drive a bit to meet halfway.

I'm not even sure what to ask for them since I'm new to airguns but I hear around $70 each is fair. Make me an offer?

Competition practice????

I have a few questions for the ( tournament) competition bench rest shooters, from someone who has never shot " AIRGUN " competitively but hopes to next year...

1. At What ranges ( distances) are the typical matches held for each stage?

2. Where can i find the standards and rules for events.

3. Does one have to qualify or is it on an entry basis?

4. Is there a traditional springer \ spri air bracket.?

Any and all info is appreciated.

Thank you for your wisdom and advice

N/A  Blue Streak finish

Can anyone help me to identify the finish on the Blue Streak brass barrel and air tube? Was it simply a durable paint finish, or was it "blues" in some fashion? I have a 2K satin black aerosal that I have had great success with on other vintage guns, but I do not want a thick coat on this BS, as it may hide some of the engraved numbering.
Thanks!

FX Panthera - Redefining Precision in Airgun Innovation

FX Panthera - Redefining Precision in Airgun Innovation

The FX Panthera – a revolutionary slug rifle designed by FX Airguns, sets a benchmark in precision competition. (As evidenced even at our own NorthEast Airgun Classic) Building upon the storied heritage of FX Airguns, the FX Panthera was engineered to shatter the performance limits of air rifles, delivering a level of technology, accuracy, and versatility that astounds both competitors and enthusiasts alike.

At the heart of the Panthera's cutting-edge technology lies the Dynamic Block, a reimagined breech block meticulously crafted for unparalleled slug firing performance. The cornerstone of this system is the innovative High-Power/Short-Impulse Valve, a compact design with remarkable airflow capacity and efficiency, ensuring consistent power delivery shot after shot.

Fueling the Panthera's remarkable capabilities is the Dynamic Plenum. This over-the-barrel plenum design envelops the barrel with a precisely controlled pressurized plenum, enhancing barrel rigidity and allowing for adaptable plenum lengths to suit varying calibers and power levels. The AMP MKII Regulator guarantees precise pressure control, maintaining optimal performance with each trigger pull.

Crafted with competition in mind, the Panthera stock is a marvel of ergonomic design. Featuring a barricade block near the breech and a 14.75" Arca rail adorned with M-LOK sections, the Panthera's balance can be fine-tuned using internal FX Barrel Weights or external M-LOK-compatible weights. The fully adjustable buttstock and ambidextrous cheekpiece ensure a tailored fit for every shooter. The air supply, a 300cc carbon fiber bottle, is conveniently affixed at the rear and utilizes a foster quick disconnect for swift refills.

The Panthera includes an enlarged breech capable of accommodating projectiles up to 13mm in length. The Standard Side-Shot Magazine remains a staple, now boasting a deeper lid to accommodate longer slugs. Parallel to the FX Impact M3, the Quick Tune System empowers users to fine-tune their experience. A 20MOA Picatinny scope rail, zero-angle AR grip, and adaptable ambidextrous side lever cocking handle enhance versatility. Dual-angled manometers on the block grant visibility into both bottle pressure and controlled plenum pressure.

Elevate your Panthera experience further with a range of accessories. Enhance stability with a bag rider, fine-tune balance with barrel weights and offset M-LOK weights, and explore options like the competition Mini-Mag and Picatinny accessory sections. An optional tungsten hammer offers yet another layer of customization. The FX Panthera is a masterpiece that embodies the performance of a precision 22LR, marked by minimal recoil and the peerless accuracy and precision.

You can even relocate the existing 300cc bottle to the back and attach a massive 480cc or 580cc bottle to the front, giving you an abundance of air for uninterrupted shooting.

To further expand its capabilities, the FX Panthera Hunter Compact offers additional accessories like the Dynamic Compact Length Arca Rail, which can be added when configured with the bottle in the rear. Plus, the FX Dynamic Side Accessory Pic Rail and the FX Dynamic AR Folding Stock adapter, allowing you to affix a standard AR buffer tube and butt stock, reducing the overall length of the folded rifle to a mere 26 inches.
