Opinions welcome

OK fellas this is difficult. I am trying to make a decision on what rifle to get...I'm thinking 25 or 30 cal. I target shoot every day (with avenge x) and want to get a better rifle for hunting. I've looked at impact, mora, slash and a few others. If any wants to or can share their experience with their 25 or 30cal i would appreciate the advice!

PCP Rifle  NLA Sonoran (TRADED)

I have my Brocock Sonoran with Sub MOA barrel and AOA upgraded power tune with 580cc bottle. It has less than 150 shots thru it. The reason for selling is I only shoot .30 caliber off a bench for 100 yd bench rest competition and it has a little short length of pull for my long arms and I prefer a heavier rifle for shooting off the bench. It is a very accurate shooter. I would be interested a RTI Mora or Prophet Performance.

very small

i found these very small levels , Glued one just behind the rear open sight on a PP700 SA , i can barely see the bubble under the rear V sight on the pistol does not interfere with aiming . i noticed i was vey slightly canting the gun to the left .

Sheridan  Weird issue with old push button safety Sheridan blue streak, NEED HELP!

So I recently acquired an old Sheridan with the janky push button safety you have to hold while firing and it’s got a weird problem going on. So the rifle pumps and holds air all day and the trigger system works flawlessly; however, when I fire the gun the air escapes out of the breech/bolt area. It’s missing the little cam plate cover but I wasn’t sure if that was the only thing causing it. It seems like there’s more to it than that but so far I’ve only worked on old crosman and Benjamin pistols so this model is completely new to me. I attached a photo and video, it’s hard to tell what it’s doing in the video but ALL the air is escaping out of the breech. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Umarex  Notos not feeding

I have a notos .22 fully upgraded to a fx liner carbon fiber barrel. Brass valve with 4mm opening, hammer weight. Plenum and plenum extemsion from c88. And i recently upgraded my air tank to 2 oem notos air tanks put together. But as soon as i got them in, my magazines started jamming, not sure what could be happening. It cycles 2 or 3 pellets and then jams. Any help?

We need to save California!

Farmers are trying everything they can to protect their crop and their walnuts from this infestation. However, Genasci says it's becoming increasingly more difficult because they have to use fewer rodenticides.

"Rodenticides have been really in the crosshairs. They've removed a number of items we use to kill rodents, or restricted their use," Genasci said. "If it's not one thing, it's another, it seems like."

He's hoping that soon, farmers and growers can catch a break.

HYPER VELOCITY NOTOS... DEVASTATING EFFECTS ON DOVE! Slow motion vid

Just kidding. this is my much tuned down Notos still taking kicking ass and taking names!

This tune is strictly for backyard plinking under 20 yds so I wanted under 7fpe and still be under 1/4" at 15 yards. Here are my chrono results with different pellets below. I was out of the 25.83g Rangemasters so only made 2 shots on the chrono. Shooting the 25.83g Rangemasters at 330fps is awesome, like lobbing a bowling ball.

I was out of everything but my backup stash of Gamo 15.43g when this Ringneck Dove decided to join the native doves and won't have any of that. Only about 5.5fpe and still got a pass through!

Hmmmm, dove breast

PCP Rifle  NLA Evol .30 SubMoa Barrel with Moderator

NLA. Just have too many guns (and 3 other AAAs). It's more of a bench gun than a hunter and I seem to do more hunting. Shoots as you would expect an Evol with the new 21" SubMOA barrel. Under 150 pellets therough it. Tuned to shoot 44.5g at about 910fps. Comes with a Savior case and one magazine and paperwork from AoA. Scope is not included. $2100 plus exact shipping to you. PP F&F works or Venmo. PP invoice can be done, but I'll add their fees. Moderator is not for sale by itself.

Crosman  Best mods to make 1322 quieter and easier to pump?

Hey guys, I've been looking for a gun to get my dad to help with his pest problem. He's done traps and everything but some of the rats and squirrels just dont go for them. He is in a very urban setting so the gun needs to be quiet. I got him a hatsan airtract, and a umatrex prymex but it was too much for him to get cocked and too loud even after cleaning the barrel.

We tried the crossman and its hard for him to get up to 10+ pumps, but maybe with some mods it could be more manageable. For mods, something that makes the pumping easier, or that gets more power out of each pump would be ideal, he would mostly be shooting fairly close 5-15m and for rats, gophers, squirrels. And obviously a moderator/suppressor(still not really sure the difference), to quiet it down. I've seen Buck Rail seems to be the go to for that side. I saw the post yesterday about the adjustable flat top and valve to increase power, so will look into that as well and whatever other recs you all have.

I've also considered some budget PCP and hand pump like a storm rider, or a refurb hatsan or something. Thanks AGN!

FSA N50 Results - 8/16

After a complete reshuffle of our 2025 benchrest schedule, we finally held our first National 50 match on Saturday 8/16.
The weather was hot early and hotter later. On one hand, the lack of wind was good for shooting, but not so good when you could break a sweat standing still. I think the temperature peaked around 91-92 degrees, but it felt much higher when the air was barely moving. The first 2 cards were shot in nearly windless conditions. Flags were either not moving or there was so little wind that they pointed in different directions, propellers barely spinning and with some slight twitches of the tail. The third and final card saw the wind pick up a bit and while it never blew very hard, it had some sneaky shifts and up/down drafts.
We had nine participants including two shooting their very first N50 match. As an indication of the mild conditions, we had 5 shooters shoot 247 or higher on their first card. We had a wide variety of pellet calibers represented, with two shooters using .22, two using .25 and four using .30. Joe Polanco came out of the gate with a 250 and as if that wasn’t good enough, he shot another 250 on the second card. A little into the third card and there was some anticipation of a potential 750 score, but the winds picked up and it cost Joe 3 points. He finished first by a comfortable margin with an excellent 747 45X. Ten points behind, in second place, was Ryan Spanagel shooting a very nice 737 26X. Tim Swan followed 2 points behind Ryan in third with a 735 34X. We had one shooter, Hugh O’Donnell, in the Factory Rimfire class. He shot a 707 21X in his very first N50 match.
Instead of having a second N50 match, we chose to get a little practice in for the Pyramyd Air Cup Gunslynger event. We hauled out our 2 lanes of RX targets and ran head-to-head match ups until everyone had enough shooting for the day.
Thank you to everyone who attended and please make sure you thank all our sponsors. Give Donny FL, Hawke Optics, High Pressure Pneumatics, Predator International, and Baker Airguns a call if you need anything air gun related.
