I am really getting into this coyote calling with an air gun. Three times out and all three have resulted in Coyotes wIthin range and only my ignorance preventing success.
Today it all came together. Called two in at once. One got within 35 yards but stayed behind a sagebrush but the other one came into about 5o yards then backed out to 64 yards next to a bush I had ranged before I started calling. I shot it in the lungs with a 30 cal Hybrid slug. The impact was impressive and it left with tail down and moving slow. Unfortunately just over the finger was a thick brush pocket that I am assuming it made it into. A lot of people don’t spend much time looking for wounded coyotes but I ain’t one of them.
At any rate, I was thinking as Ihiked off the hill I should find a slug that will provide a better chance of a complete pass through with better penetration.
Anyone have any suggestions? I am shooting an M3 and it is tuned to shoot the Hybrids (RMR slap slugs) @ 960 fps. The gun is not working too hard to get there and I can get more velocity out of it with these slugs but I am thinking more velocity is not the answer. A slightly harder slug with a smaller hollow point is what I have in mind.
Could I be looking at this wrong? Any help appreciated

So Friday I pulled my scope and used the 'plumb bob, flashlight' method to make sure it was level. BTW, that worked great!

Since the scope had been removed & replaced, the rifle needed re-zeroing. I was able to get a rough zero w/3 pumps @ 30 feet (a group 3 inches out at 10:00), but I wanted to refine the zero at 5 pumps-and the Benji isn't exactly backyard friendly at higher pumps, so yesterday I went to mom's (she has some land) and got to work.

I shot 2, 5 round groups and was pretty much on at 5-pumps / 30 feet, and was going to shoot a 10 round group to confirm.

About halfway through the shooting, the 392's pumping effort went to nothing. I checked and when I fully extended the pump arm, there was no sucking hiss of air being pulled into the tube, so of course, with no air to compress, there was no effort to closing the handle.

I plan on sending it to Mac1 this week for a complete Steroid treatment, minus the scope mount and rings, so is this now a non-issue?

I can get a .35/9mm Raw barrel, magazine, and prope fairly cheap.
As my all of my Raw HM1000x are pre 2018 and have the 15 mm mag slot the magazine would not fit but that is ok.
I could not find a lot of informatie on this forum about the Raw HM1000x in .35, power levels or ammunition
Was looking for pressure setting of the regulator and if I need to replace the hammer spring for a heavyer one?

Also I was wondering if the 2018 model can make the 130 footpounds/170 joule that you see on some youtube films from that time.
My .30 set makes about 115 joule and I would be perfectly happy if the 9mm would do about 130/140 joule.

Will not hunt with, just plinking a few times a year.

Shot a few others but they made it into their hole or into thicket. Anchored this one at 70yds. M3 compact, 44.75, 865fps.

Last night I was able to get a rough zero using 3 pumps @ 30 feet, using the fireworks as cover for the shots

This morning, I went to mom's house to refine my zero. I set up 4 target dots on cardboard and got started.

I took these shots at a measured 10 yards and 5 pumps. The POI was changed from the 3-pump groups and the first picture shows the initial fine tune: high, and still a bit left. I did a few clicks while shooting this group, which is why the shots are so scattered.

The second group was after making adjustments. The low-left flier was after making a small vertical adjustment.

The last group I meant to do a 10 shot group, but the Benjamin had other plans .

As I was pumping up for a shot, the pumping effort went to zero and I'm not sure how much pressure I'd built up - this last shot is the one on the far left of the group.

I tried to pump up for another shot, but when I extended the pump arm, there was no hiss of it sucking air, I tried a few times and nothing. The rifle won't pump up at all

Hubens GK1 in .25 Caliber. This was sourced from Ares Tactical. I am the second owner. The first owner purchased new, had a major accident that paralyzed him for a season, and required more than half a dozen surgeries. He claimed to have gotten less than 100 shots through this before the accident, and I believed him based on our extended conversations. He sold everything, including his compressor.

I would much prefer a face-to-face meet-up in SoCal, if possible, so the buyer can put this through its paces.

Holds pressure beautifully. I've filled it up to 305 Bar (4500psi) because I don't have a compressor that goes beyond this. At either 305 Bar or 150 Bar, it holds pressure perfectly up to 1 month at a time without any drop. That's the longest I've gone without shooting this. My shooting sessions are short. I've put a bit less than 400 pellets through this, primarily using the GTOS and a few rounds of JSB Exacts. I've never had a jam, but 400 rounds is not a lot. The JSB GTOs and Exacts seats beautifully. I have never tried slugs.

This does have the less common and more desired feather tube carbon fiber which matches the Hubens Moderator perfectly, if this matters to you.

The only functional defect I found is that the rear sight sight blade/leaf can be moved around the screw axis. (Just the leaf, not the rest of the sight which is rock solid stable.) It works perfectly, but one needs to be aware not to bump it when shooting. This does not matter in the least if you are going to mount a red dot or scope.

FX M3 Impact as pictured, has the 30 cal installed but not really tuned, also a 22 cal liner. Both are 700mm, Has the Saber Tactical Bag rider and ARCA Rail, Barrel Tuner, 3 speed loaders 30cal and 2 speed loaders 22cal. I added the FX side mount and Sekhmet digital gauges, also an Outgun Side Mount in a kit bag. It has the unbranded Power Block from what I understand

I tried to mount the Outgun side mount and that is how I managed to be a dumb A** and scratch around the gauge when I removed the FX gauge. Then opted to just put the digital on instead as had issue with the two pins that hold the Outgun two piece mount together.

I bought this here in the forum first of the year and attempted to shoot some and tinker, with lots of reading and great info on here. But as my job keeps me on the go, I have no time to invest in what all this takes and not sure this is my cup of tea. As note there may be a slight leak somewhere perhaps with my install of the gauges as it will leak down after several days of sitting.

High density foam with predrilled, caliber specific holes for quick access to pellets/slugs. Has plastic backing & velcro straps for mounting on stock or elsewhere. Great for single loaders like my Matador, ESPECIALLY when hunting. Foam on mine is getting old & too soft. I COULD just replace foam but thought I'd ask here.

As I wrote in the industry feedback topic, I am not happy about Bog (Caldwell) not offering any replacement parts for their Fieldpod tripods.

As my Magnum fieldpod has now hardened and brittle V's (because the plasticiser leaked out of them) it is now useless.

Has anybody been in the same boat, and found a solution with maybe any aftermarket V's that fit, or designed up some 3D printed stuff to replace the V's?



THe V's have a distinct form to fit over the stakes and be secured with a bolt and nut. (I believe the design has now been updated where the Vs are molded directly onto the stakes, so no more bolts and nut, and the color has changed from greyish to black)
