Not putting up a target

I have been wanting to improve my offhand shooting so went out to do a little practice and when I started to hang a 10M airrifle target noticed some what looked like trash in my trap. I started to pull it out and there were a couple of little light rose colored bird eggs, so I tried to ease things back. I'll leave it alone for a week or so and see if we have any baby target birds, not that I will shoot at them.

Huben  Huben GK1 arrival day🍻

First post here. I have been reading and learning all I can to have a backyard option when I don’t feel like going to the Range. Thanks for helping me part ways with my money lol.

A couple pictures as it came from Kraz Cool / Kelly. He is as great as everyone here says. Highly recommended.

I am finishing a diy pellet trap and will get some shots down range later today.

Heads-Up - New 'Long Rifle' models available at USA vendor(s)

If you are like me and favor more traditional rifle designs, you know that fewer and fewer options are available. Manufacturers focus (sadly) has been on Bullpup and Benchrest specific designs as of late. And also at ridiculous high price tags!

One of our major vendors here in the US is now bringing in the Reximex Daystar, and also the Diana Outlaw Gen2 rifles. Both are more reasonably priced and quality enough (with a little work) for reliable, long life and excellent accuracy.

Both of the rifles mentioned above are accepting the current 11% off code from the vendor. Both are on pre-order status at the moment but good deals if you are not in a hurry. That 11% code ends after midnight tonight so if one of these rifles are of interest you might want to take advantage.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Taipan Veteran Long, Tactical Stock, .22, Gen1, $845 Shipped CONUS

*** SOLD ***

This was a gun which I bought off AGN user kaylaindy after he had done a video review on it. But I just never bonded with the form factor of this gun, so I think I may have only taken it out to my back yard range 2x to play and get some chrony numbers.

Here is a link to the AGN classified posting I bought the gun off of:
https://www.airgunnation.com/thread...-taipan-vet-tactical-22-cal-for-1250.1274221/

Although I didn't much like the form factor, I think that all other manufacturers should learn from Taipan and put WOOD (instead of bare metal) where where you rest your cheek.

IIRC kaylaindy mentioned that he had dropped the gun off his shooting table, and it had gotten some blemishes. I fine one on the tip of the shroud and on the tip of the shoulder stock. And some marks from scope mounting. All shown in the pics below.

Looks like the gun was shooting 18.13's +/- 900 fps when I tested it. I think that I also put the Speed Dialer onto it for easy HST adjustment. (That's generally all I do for 'tuning'. I don't really get into reg adjusting).

I never used the included hamster, but it is great that there is an adjustable Pic rail section on the lower front side of the gun for easy bipod mounting.

Been in my gun carousel in my study, covered in a siliconized rifle sock since I last shot it (8/24) and been holding air just fine since then.

Comes with all shown in the photos - couple of OEM mags, filler probe w/Foster QD, single shot tray, manual and a few extra spares. And the OEM box.

$845 payable via PayPal Friends and Family, including CONUS shipping.

First "I'll take it" PM wins.

Thanks,
Tom

Other  The rabbit hole is never ending.

Looking for opinions on rifles. I currently own springer rifles and want to explore the world of PCP. I have a main focus on accuracy @100yrds. I plan on using this rifle for small game and birds but would like to be able to have a 30cal. for bobcats and possibly a yote if I feel like a challenge. The ability to shoot heavier pellets and or slugs would be great. (Both even better) Cost range I have seen options from 500 up to 4k and everywhere in between my budget is up to 2k but would like to be up and running for that cost. I already have glass but would need everything else. I have an option to buy an impact mk1 in .25 for $1650 but figured by the time I upgraded I would be back at just buying an m4. I've looked at the classifieds on here but can message anyone yet so figured let's go ahead and let the cat out the bag in a post. Some of the rifles I have looked at are below, but I am open to opinions of others because I don't think all of these are capable of shooting .30

FX Impact mk1-m4?
FX Maveric
FX King
Hatsun Factor Bullpup
Hatzun Blitz
Umarex Zelos
LCS ?
Western ?

Give me a hand and let me know. If it costs me a few hundred more to get what I want I would rather do it right the first time. I also need an entry level pump and some projectiles.

Results  AAFTA GP Results – Call to Action!

Short version: For all those who have participated (and I guess also to those that haven’t) in the 5 GP matches that have taken place so far in 2025, please contact the match directors and ask them to submit their course planners and results to AAFTA. There are no results posted on the AAFTA website due to these items having not been submitted through proper channels yet according to the response below.

Longer version: There has been talk amongst some of us near and far as to why after 5 GP events completed and 3 more taking place in the next few weeks that there has been no results posted on the AAFTA website. One of the constants has been, with the rules set forth and time expended to make a Grand Prix event happen, it seems results should be posted on the website within 2-3 weeks of the events completion. At a match this past weekend the topic was brought up yet again. I told one of the individuals to go ahead and send an email asking why the delay or if they didn’t want to, did he want me to. He said he’d gladly do it and below is an excerpt from his email and the response received from the BOG. We have seen the reports and results posted on the forums so we know they are completed and available.

Email that was sent:
“I’m reaching out in order to try to understand why there are no current season Grand Prix results posted yet. We are already 5 Grand Prix’s into the current season and yet no results. AAFTA places a lot of conditions on Clubs when it comes to hosting a Grand Prix. Time lines , course layouts, etc. etc.

Not posting current season results is not only a disservice to the competitors, but the community as a whole. Frankly it’s down right unacceptable, especially considering what clubs and Match Directors have to go through. If Match Directors need to submit match results within a certain timeframe then you (AAFTA) should post those results in a timely and expedient fashion as well. …..”

FX  Fx drs classic 500mm ???

Hello there friends,
my drs which I bought last year about same time from Utah airguns,
the reg was set at 810fps using 10.3gr
this season i am noticing that my drs starts at 750fps regardless even if I use 8.4gr or in todays case 9.1 Norma gt ft pellet,
and then after 60 shots or so it creeps up to 800fps and then stays there untill I drop below 130bar which is reg pressure!!!
any idea what should I do since this rifle does not have reg gauge,
it only has tank pressure gauge.
I will be calling Utah air tomorrow to find out what is going on with it…

FX  another month another panthera leak.

It's been so good for the last 5 months, holding air with no problems at all.
However today I depressurised it to change the reg gauge to a digital one so I can properly look at my regulator cycle times (still 5 seconds even with a huma).
On repressurising its now pouring air down the barrel.

This must be the valve / seat if I am correct? I've put a couple of pellets through to try and get it to re-seat but no joy.
(It had the upgraded ones and has not been dry fired)

Diana  RWS Diana 34 Classic in .22 - Spring/Parts question

Hello Airgun Nation, my first post. First, just wanted to say I am glad to be back using airguns again. As a kid I used to shoot the old Daisy "Red Ryder" lever action BB guns at camp. My dad bought me a Crosman 760 XL with wood stock and brass finish and shot the heck out of that gun for years. No longer have it as it is long gone since High School. Fast forward some 35 years later, I picked up a Crosman 2100 to plink around shooting cans and targets in the back. My kids got interested in shooting and I got two of the Daisy 853 from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Then I discovered we had a rat issue in the neighborhood and in my yard and they were getting into our birdseed and under the house, etc. I bought a RWS Diana 34 Classic in .22 to help manage these pests. I shot many and dispatched many more that didn't die in the traps. 60 rats later I was going to re grease my gun. I took it apart and discovered some tearing / fraying on the piston seal edges. I ordered a new one. I noticed in that spring/piston assembly I do not have the ring at the piston end of the spring. I have the plastic "spring guide" in the rear with a washer, spring, then goes into the back of the piston. There is no washer or "plastic" ring/cap on the end. I am trying to locate a schematic to figure out if I am missing a part. My gun is labeled Diana 34 T06 Classic. Does this model have the spring go right into the back of the piston or should it have a washer/plastic ring at the end?? Appreciate any help here.

Thanks,
Mike

RTI  Mora .25 and heavy pellets?

I was just wondering if anyone has had any luck with the heavier 33-34 grain pellets in the .25 more 600mm? Or another heavy .25 pellet maybe I'm not aware of...
I ran out of FX 34 gr pellets a while back with some different airguns that have been gone for a while but still have the Epoch .25 which likes them a lot.
I have no idea if the Mora does well with the heavier weights I'm asking about.
I won't buy the original jsb's because they are sort of rotten for a few years, for me anyway.
Seems the FX branded Jsb's are getting a bit harder to find maybe for the poor QC of the JSBs.

Beginner Pellet Choice, 25 cal.

Hello All,
I'm putting together my first purchase and the community here has been great.
I mostly decided on the Air Venturi Avenger 25 Bullpup (Hatsan Flashpup out of stock anywhere with a decent price). I'm very green especially with pellet choice.
My main shooting will probably be targets but I'm getting it for my chicken coop. Mostly raccoons and groundhogs(destructive to the coop).
Most research says JSB Exact King 25.39 Grain is a good middle of the road. When I found these they are all labeled 'Diabolo'(?). I really hope to find a good budget one to put thru paper and have others on hand when needed.
I saw plenty in the 30 gr neighborhood, 26 gr polymags, as well as some light weight 20 gr target.
I haven't really compared pricing but most of what I saw in my first pass didn't seem 'Budget' priced. That said I don't want to damage anything shoving junk down the tube.
Thank you very much. Any point in the right direction is appreciated.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Umarex Notos

Great little gun, but I recently got a GK1 off of here and don’t have much use for it anymore. Shoots dimes with cphps at 25yds, that was good enough for me so I never tried out anything else. Reg works great and zero leaks. The only problem with it is the crappy factory mag which will jam every 3rd mag or so. It will come with the last tin of cphps, ~250 rounds. Ready to shoot!
IMG_7333.jpeg

$150 shipped PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.
I might trade for a GK1 folding stock + stock adaper, or .25 25gr JSBs or .457 slugs in the 150gr-180gr range.
