The new HW35 Standard

The Weihrauch web sight is now showing a newly redesigned stock for the 35 Standard. The redesign is new and already taken from the newer design that came from the grooved model. It appears that Weihrauch also changed the color on the new 35S. The top gun in the picture is just from a few months ago (after the groove model) and the bottom is the current picture on the Weihrauch web sight. I wonder if anyone knows what Krale is currently sending in this model? The Krale sight still shows the grooved model. This new design/color is first Beech stock from Weihrauch that I actually like. Plus it is ambidextrous with the cheek piece on both sides! What do y’all think?

SOLD Edgun Lelya 2.0 .22 UPDATED and REDUCED

Great gun I got on trade. As much as I would like for it to be different, I am just not a bullpup guy. Maybe it's because I'm built like a gorilla and my arms are too long. I don't know, but most of my shooting is from a stationary position and I just can't get comfortable with the gun. As for the gun itself, it is awesome. Everything an Edgun is legendary for, accurate, solid construction, simple mechanics. I have it outfitted with a MTC Viper Connect 3-12x32 with the SCB2 reticle and I think it really lends itself to the nature of the gun. Comes with 4 mags, fill probe, and the ID card.

Goodness. OK so to simplify things:
$1250 for the gun shipped
$1550 for the gun and scope shipped
Paypal F&F
These are currently the two options.

Which Caliber?

Altogether I have springers in 5 calibres. Just recently I scored a R9 and a Hw97 both in .20. Makes your hair stand. I‘m not an expert like a lot here. But I know the difference when shooting.
I have to say the .20 has won my vote. Both these guns spit lead out with deadly accuracy on the range. The R9 eliminated a nutter with one choice shot not long ago.
I find it more stable than .177 in breezy conditions.
Which caliber springer do you prefer and for what?

FOUND Daystate Midnight Redwolf .177 for a Leshiy 2 (.177 or .22)

I have a like new Daystate Redwolf Midnight .177 that I'd like to trade for an Edgun Leshiy 2 in either .177 or .22. I may consider a .25 based on the setup.

The Redwolf is standard power, includes single shot tray, mag and original box. I have a Hawke Sidewinder ED 8-40 scope on it now that is basically brand new. Could include that as well for the right deal.

On the Leshiy - I'm only looking for a Leshiy 2 REPR with a 350mm barrel. I would make a deal on my Sidewinder if the Leshiy included an equal quality scope.

PM me and we can finalize deal / exchange pics over the phone / via text.

thanks,
Eric

Wadcutters for tree squirrel hunting?

Do any of you prefer wadcutters for your squirrel hunting?

My HW30 (.177) groups them excellently out to 50 yards (which I've read is maybe unusual for a wadcutter).

I'm thinking the large flat face should transfer energy well.

I've killed some squirrels with domed pellets out of this new rifle, but, am anxious to try the wadcutters with their exceptional accuracy.

All thought, opinion and actual field results very appreciated! Thanks.

NLA Gauntlet 3 30 cal, TJ barrel, Ninja reg, 580cc CF bottle up for trade/for sale

Like new condition, purchased new in may this year, added 24" 1 in 26 twist 30 cal TJbarrel, barrel professionally machined. Ported tranfer port, valve, and barrel to match. Machined custom, Vented air stripper with added 6 baffles and Donnyfl sumo, super quiet. Upgraded ninja regulator, reg pressure set to 3020 psi. Trigger springs replaced and sears shimmed and polished, tuned to Shoot 44 grn at 1010fps for 4 magazine's (28 shots per 4500 psi fill to reg pressure 3020psi). Shoots slugs very accurate to 180 yards, consistently can hit golf balls at 150 yards. Jsb pellets very accurate as well. 200 griffin slugs and 2 magazines included. Scope not included. 30 cal is too much for my small back yard and I have too many long range guns. May consider trades for pcp in .22 cal for a yard gun. Asking $550 obo shipped in original box. Will trade for .22 pcp, avenger, talon ss, condor ss, other pcp with cash added from my end.

Your Favorite Springer OEM Factory Stock

It’s time to bring out your favorite OEM (original equipment manufacturer) springer stock. When Dr. Robert Beeman introduced Americans to “Adult Precision Airguns” he was wise enough to have Weihrauch color and hand checker the Beech stocks like no other. They even had a palm swell. They were classy and beautiful. Only the Weihrauch lineup had these wonderful stocks. Some were Walnut.
These are my favorites (nothing spectacular but better than the new Beech models). A vintage HW55T and the new HW35E. Both in Walnut. The 35E is the final chapter in the Weihrauch “Walnut“ produced stocks.
I have seen some gorgeous OEM springer stocks right here on AGN. Show us your favorites.

Taipan .177 Chapter 3 - Will it shoot?

After sending one back, buying a different one, adding a HUMA regulator and giving in completely to the will of the rifle - the answer is ..... Oh h*ll yeah!!

I tried every way I knew how to tame this rifle and make it shoot a light weight pellet at at slow-ish speed. I failed. I bought about 11 different tins in my quest and begrudgingly increased speed and weight until I got to the last tin - the JSB EXACT Monster 13.43 grain 4.52 head size. For those of you who have read the first 2 chapters, this one has a happy ending - sort of. These pics show what a Taipan .177 can do. And, I guess they support those of you who said the Taipan was built on a powerful platform and that the .177 was purely an afterthought created from market demand.

Here is a 40 yard, 20 shot string, 5 shots per group and with the exception of 1 flyer, a dime dwarfs these groups. The HUMA reg was right on, too. I have included the shot string stats. It's sweet, but more power than I ever wanted.

Anyone interest in a powerful, accurate .177 Taipan?

Magazine or singleshot for 50/100 yard benchrest?

If the magazine isn't causing a noticeable difference on accuracy I think that's a better system so you can knock out shots faster during a consistent/lull wind timeframe. I'm planning to build a custom from scratch .22 bench gun and looking for input from those familiar with shooting these matches.

Labor Day weekend ponder-

Curious, as I caught myself feeling this way-
How many of you hit the classifieds first when logged into AGN, then hope there’s nothing of interest to you or nothing you can’t live without, as

1. You don’t feel like depleting more $$ out of your bank account
2. You don’t want to dive anymore deeper into this hobby
3. Feel like the part your buying may end up collecting even more dust than the seller had on it.

For me pellet purchases are the worst, as I look at stacks of tins as $$ that could’ve went elsewhere, but with shortages and prices hiking up, it’s a worthwhile investment. Sometimes I find myself hoping it sold before i get to them, ha!

Why I hate eBay

I have read a few of the stories about eBay on here. I just had one of those experiences that reminded me of why I hate eBay so badly.

I had searched the 'Net high and low for some Pellgunoil. I found listings on every major air gun website out there. I found that all of them show the product "Out of stock". So, I kept searching and found dozens of listings on eBay. I picked the one with the lowest "price plus shipping" and bought one. That was two days ago. I just got an email telling me that I had received a refund from PalPal. After reading the email, I logged into eBay and there was a message from the seller. It stated that there was a problem with my address. I sent him a message asking what was wrong with my address. Then, I got ticked off. He told me that PayPal won't allow him to ship to the State of Illinois because of our stupid gun laws. No kidding! I can't buy a damned tube of oil from anybody on eBay due to gun laws in this State.

I don't know who to be more mad at or who to holler at. How can ANYBODY be so stupid as to restrict the sale of OIL that might be used on a BB gun because of gun laws? I did have problems buying my Mod 25 last week. The first three websites I tried to buy from told me they couldn't deliver a gun to anyone in the State of Illinois. Yhey suggested contacting a local FFL dealer and arranging to have the gun shipped to them for a fee of $25 to $35. As mad as I was getting, it worked out for the best. The place I ended up ordering from simply required a copy of my FOID card and a copy of my drivers license. Once they had those, they completed the order. I say it worked out for the best because they happened to have the gun priced $25 to $30 lower than any other site I had been on.

But that doesn't compare to a place that has a policy that says you can't ship oil that may or may not be used on a BB gun to someone living in this state. Just unreal!
