Went out for lunch and when I got home I had a package waiting. New .30 Western Airguns Rattler got from AOA. My initial impressions are good, love the quality soft case it came in. I topped it off with a Hawke Sidewinder 4-16x50 and can't friggin wait to leave for a few days to try it out. I got a bunch of different pellets including polymags as well as some NSA's and High Arc hunters. The build quality looks pretty darn good, the shroud on it is pretty serious looking and the rails are nice and long. I plan to test it out and bring back some details hopefully by the weekend.

All right these may be stupid questions but I am moving to the East Coast and couldn’t bring myself to put the airguns that I put a lot of time and money into into the shipping container that is bringing most of my stuff east.

So they are coming along in the car.

I’ll be driving pretty quickly because I’ll also have some pets with me (I don’t even want to get into the details of that, it’s ridiculous but it STILL beats flying lol) and I am wondering what if anything in need to think about.

One thing i wonder is what will motel employees think if I am carrying multiple gun cases into the room when I arrive… was thinking maybe I should buy a couple of guitar cases and ditch the gun cases just to avoid any awkward and unnecessary conversations.

How about driving with compressed air tanks: a few guns and a pressurized hatsan 1.6L fill station? Is this a problem if I were pulled over?

I have a like-new Arken SH4 GEN II 4-16X50 Mil Rad scope already mounted and leveled in the Arken 20 MOA single piece picatinny rigid mount. So it’s ready to just plop right on your gun. I love this scope! However, I’m converting to a compact bullpup configuration and this is just too much scope for it. It will come with everything in the box from factory with sunshade and the torx (star) style L wrench for the mount. I have attached a poor man’s throw lever in the form of a hefty black zip tie that can be easily snipped off if not wanted. It actually works pretty well. Willing to separate but the mount will not be sold before the scope. Was $340 now $320 scope only, was $380 w/ mount, now $360 shipped. PP F&F or USPS MO. Thanks for looking. Having been bitten by the spinger bug, I have recently been looking at the HW77K. I would like to have one, but I keep thinking the Long barrel looks nicer then the K model. Anyone have side by side photos?

Comparing size difference between the HW35E and HW77 Long barrel.

The HW77 is .4" longer overall length then the HW35E
Both have the same 18.5" length barrel
The HW77 is 10.5 ounces heavier

But when I read about the Long barrel 77 most commenters think the gun is to long and heavy. Yet I see very few comments on the 35 being to long and heavy.

I realize 10.5 ounces is a lot of weight, but is the HW77 Long really an undesirable rifle?

I am new to the airgun world and I’m trying to figure everything out as I go with help from the internet.

I am shooting with a FX impact M3 700mm .22 with a FX heavy liner and JSB knockout .216 25gr slugs. I think I’m done tuning this set up for now but I’m running into issue with a few random flyers. I’m shooting at 35 yards ( I haven’t shot them past 35 yet either) and it’s shooting lights out then a flyer almost a inch away then the following shot is a bullseye. I’ve attached a target showing what I’m talking about.

Is this “normal” with slugs or could it be the barrel doesn’t like them as much as I think? I don’t do any sorting or inspecting of the slugs, straight from the tin to shooting, should I be doing something in between?

I do have a large selection of other slugs on their way to test but right now I’m just using the knockouts.

I have a .25 700mm barrel kit from a M3 that I won't be needing.
It has the slug/pellet transfer port and Superior liner and a pellet probe.
It has a little cosmetic mark on the shroud.
