Kalibrgun Cricket Mini .22 super pester

I’ve owned a ton of rifles over the years, and really liked a bunch of them, but this little gal is one of the most versatile, accurate and shoulders better than just about anything I’ve owned.

I can run redesign’s at 750ish , 18’s at 880 , hades over 900 and GTO’s over 1000 if need be, all with incredible accuracy at 30 yards. Having said that, I’ve got .30 and .357 rifles that fill my need for anything from deer, yotes, turkey and squirrels.

Where this rifle really shines is down low, she’s super adjustable and just as accurate at low speeds. With her weight, length, accuracy, mouse fart quiteness, incredible shot count and shouldering capabilities, she makes a perfect weapon for my falconry bird abatement job.

While most of my pigeon work is with birds of prey, I do have lot’s opportunities to use my air rifles when the job is too dangerous for the hawk. With this setup, I’m able to feed the pigeons to my hawk with no worries (lead poisoning).

My second need for a low powered rifle is my chicken coop (inside and out). The rats seem never ending. I literally can kill a couple per night, year around. With lead being toxic to poultry, again I’m able to take advantage of low speeds, superior accuracy and literally an almost silent rifle.

While the majority of all my pigeon and rat shooting takes place inside 30 yards, I did want to see what she was capable of out to 50 yards. I expected very little with 15 and 11gr pellets in the 685-690 fps range, but I was definitely WRONG. In the right conditions, I have no doubt I could make clean, accurate kills at 75 yards on pigeons.

What makes the rifle the most special, is she is literally the CHEAPEST pcp I’ve ever purchased since starting the hobby 15 years ago. 😂

Behold- “Jolene”, the do it all, silent pester! Below is the 5 shot group at 50 this morning off a single bag (bipod was inside and I must have been lazy). I’m not going to add a picture of the 30 yard groups, as they are literally hole in hole.

How accurate is “accurate”and what do we expect

Hello everyone,

I had a GREAT morning of shooting a half dozen paper targets with absolutely perfect weather conditions. However while shooting I began to think about how, we as target shooters, forget and don’t always take into consideration some HARD Factual Numbers. I’m not trying to go “geek” but need to have a good perspective of the accuracy of each shot so as to improve on my ability.

Let me explain with the attached target as an example::geek:

Look at the top row, left to right, at number 4 target. When I shot this I said damn and then thought, OK it is not a dead center bullseye but really it is still a good shot. Here is how I was aiming at each target to adjust for my rifle and the scope, I was placing the small round dot of the reticle at the bottom-center of the “1" of the ten (10) in the bullseye. Yep that is how precise I was shooting this target. I brought the target in the house and used my digital calipers to actually measure the distance from the “aim point” ( bottom-center of “1" ) to the true center of the 10-Ring and as you can see it is ONLY .0355 of an inch. Man that is almost nothing, but that tiny bit compensates for my rifle and scope. Look at the rest of this target ( not to brag ) and see how many dead center ( or almost ) I shot on this card using that “aim point”. Now look at the first target on the last row and even though I did hit the 10-Ring ( barely ) it does count as a hit but I was very disappointed . Again I measured from the center of the POI to the center of the 10-Ring and it is only .1205 of an inch. Man that is ugly on this card but, had I been shooting at the head of a Squirrel at 25-yards, he would be Vulture candy right now :ROFLMAO: .

Well what the heck is all my ranting and raven about, are we too demanding on our equipment and our ability? I guess it all lies with the individual shooter, in my own opinion I don’t think so. With that said it is important to try and keep everything in perspective.

Rifle: Brocock Commander XR .177
Pellet: JSB Exact Heavy 10.34gr
Distance: 25-yards
Weather: perfect

Stupid Raccoon being a thief

So this ain’t the first time a raccoon has stole my rat bait by untwisting it off it’s mount, but this is the first time one got stuck in it😂.This went on for about an hour before he got it off.Right when I was debating whether to put him out of his misery or leave him with a lesson that may starve him to death🤔,he got it off so he got to return home after resting for a half hour from the battle.Poor bastard was all over the yard, fell in the pond and everything🤣.
Video is a minute or two of if you can use a Saturday morning chuckle with your coffee.

Well got my GX CS3 today .....lost the lottery...got a bad one....

Well decided on getting the CS3. Ordered it got it today. Took it out of the box everything looked good started on the fan fans run with no problem and push the start button nothing.... pressed the button again nothing....so I guess lost the compressor lottery on this one. I have a CS2 and the battery version of the CS2 both TANKS!!!! Just wanted something with the auto stop and pump a little longer to pump up the "beast" my Uragan King in 30cal. Trying to save on range time more shooting less pumping because the range closes at 4pm because the locals in area took the range to court they lost and won. They lost because time is shorter but won because they can remain open. Not really sure what happened if something happened during the travel here or the UPS driver playing football again if you know what I mean. I have sent them a email are there any other emails or ways to contact them??? I ordered directly from GX themselves. Thanks

PCP Rifle  NLA WAR Flex .22/.25/.357 $1000

I have a WAR Flex .22/.25/.357. The gun has a .22 24” unchoked TJ barrel, .25 17” .25 barrel and a .357 24” barrel. The .357 needs a oring groove machined in the probe to be functional. Comes with 1 mag in each caliber. Cobra Regulator with a Cothran valve. In the picture, it has a 700cc tank. That tank has been removed. It now has a 480cc tank. I can send you current pictures if you want. It has recently been resealed, cleaned and lubed. The gun comes with multiple orings for future rebuilds, a .22/.25 moderator and other extras as I can find them. Has a beautiful custom cerakote job in burnt bronze. Best is to call 509-993-9105 and we can discuss. I’d like to get $1000 plus shipping.

Give away and for sale Junk box

I been in the sport a long time, I get pellets my guns do not like or I just do not like shooting, It goes in the junk box,Bipods,Scope rings, scope levels Sometimes shipping and boxing up this stuff is more than it's worth, So when I sell something , I will look in my junk box and put it in the box I am shipping, Maybe I should not call it my junk box just my box I don't use, I alway or most the time leave instructions if you can't use it or you don't like it ,Pass it on , I am not that nice of a guy , I am just getting rid of my junk or stuff I don't use,
Don't ask me for some junk , Because I am not shipping nothing until I sell stuff, LOL.

Bore Scoping - Before and After Cleaning.

I Just wanted to share 2 YouTube videos I made, documenting a challenge I took upon myself, to put to rest in my own mind, after researching for months on YouTube along with various PB websites, all the various ways, means, opinions, voodoo techniques and what-not-to-do’s, to see what would really happen if I just took a Brass Brush, Willy-Nilly, to my brand new FX .25 600mm Heavy Liner and just went crazy.

YMMV for sure. This is My experience. Take it as you may.

Flashed a little Ballistol in the Liner and went to work.

In and Out anyway what so ever, breach, leade, sideways, back and forth, no holding back, knowing that the worst case was it cost me $120 bucks shipped and I learned something that I could pass along.

Granted, using a .25 Brass Brush, I can only push one way, exit, and then pull back (a .22 brass brush in a .25 sometimes can offer a better fit and a back and forth cleaning due to the smaller diameter). Heck-Yea! I did it…Back and Forth and Back and Forth over and over for 100 strokes with that Brush. Ran some patches through it and then hit her up with a Mop and some JB Bore Paste for another 100 strokes!!! In and out the Crown and then the Leade, in and out, in and out. It was exhilarating!!!

I have no regrets and, a bit of confidence after “feeling” the difference from the first few strokes of the Brass, to the final laps of the Mop. It was so Smoooooooth!!!

The Video speaks for itself of the difference.
  • Stage 1: Very impressed with the results.
  • Stage 2: Pending and will post results.

Bore Scope does not lie. Enjoy the Videos.

Not the end for sure…

Next will be “The Test” with some NSA 29Gr Rd and others in my M3 @50 & 100.

Stay tuned!

After:

Most powerful ""tune"" I got out of my .22 Impact M3 so far

Quotation marks because it's not really a tune but more of a "let's crank it and see how high it'll go" type of situation. Almost 100 foot-pounds with 40 grain ZAN .217's. That's on par with Eley Tenex (.22lr match ammo, 40 gr @ 1040-1080 fps ). Not practical at all considering all of the 5 meters I have in my tiny student flat but lots of fun having essentially a rimfire with how strictly regulated firearms are here in the Netherlands.

Settings:
  • 1st reg and 2nd reg @ 210 bar
  • valve adjuster all the way out, about 1.5 turns back from where you can feel the knob starting to run off the thread
  • hammer spring dialed back 3 clicks on the micro adjuster from where the trigger sear doesn't engage anymore
Using a slug kit and an 800mm barrel.

What's the most power you've gotten out of your M3?

Pellet containers

So I just had knee surgery and I'm going to be off work for about 6-8 weeks so I ordered a few boxes of the 1250 cosman domes. Most of my guns shoot them really well and I am going to be going through them. Anyone have a good suggestion for something to keep them in,say a few hundred in each container. I sure this has been covered but if you search pellet you get a few million post lol.

I think the .20 is the most

accurate pellet and the most overlooked by newbies......know what, LPs are coming back,I know many will not know what a LP is,lets put it this way.like the .20 you know.
Lack of pellets, you can still get them, and if more people realized how good the .20 shoots more people would buy air guns that use them= thus more pellets for them; Heck they got the molds for them......maybe I shouldn't say this; truth be told when someone says the .20 is dead I think they're full of baloney.o_O

PCP Rifle  NLA Air Arms MPR .177

Details:
  • Bought this Air Arms MPR .177 last summer from the original owner.
  • Other than installing an Altaros or Lane regulator, I couldn't find any indications of its use prior to me. Everything was perfect and felt new. This MPR has either been on my workbench or on the shooting bench since. There are a few small compression marks on the stock (shown in the photos).
  • Due to the regulator, the rifle's manometer now displays the reg's pressure setting instead of the cylinder's pressure.
  • Under the protective cap, there is a foster quick fill adapter.
  • I may have the original box and manual and will update the listing with photos when found.
  • I spent a few hours last September testing pellets and recording the strings. My memory nor notes recorded from that session tell me whether or not this string was a single or two fills, but I believe it was a 95-shot string that had a 4.4 standard deviation, 24 fps extreme spread with the JSB 8.4g 4.52 pellets at 779fps resulting in 11.3 fpe.
7-day inspection period. 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you don't love it, return it.

$795. PayPal F&F or add 3%. Send any questions via PM, email, text, or phone call. Buyer pays shipping. Will be double-boxed and tightly packed. Scope, rings, and hamster riser are not included… however, everything has a price, right?

Hi. I’m new to AGN as my username states. I’m actually not an air gun person. With that said, a close friend of mine lost her father and he has MANY competitive air guns that were left to her. I’m helping her find the best route to take with them and AGN was recommended by MORINI for finding their values.
He owned Morini, Benelli, FAS, Feinwerkbau, Pardini, Hammerli, and Walther guns. I have pictures of everything but don’t know anything about them. I do know they look in mint condition as being well taken care of. He was a competition shooter.
So I guess my question is, am I on the right website to help my friend with understanding her fathers collection?
I’ve attached pictures (at least two per gun) hoping for your expert opinions.
Thanks

Some classifieds be like…

So am I the only person that sometimes sees:
Rifle X: $2,000
Comes with: absolutely none of all the really good stuff you see on it in the picture, if there are even pictures, but instead with this one can of half shot dented pellets.
MSRP: $2,000 so you are receiving all the extras for free.
Shipping: at buyer’s expense.
Hurry up. Buy now. Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime, really good offer that is guaranteed to go really fast.

Is this just some guy’s attempt to honestly say “Yes honey, listed it,” because every now and then I feel like I read one of these and feel like I personally really struggle with the thought process that lead to the listing I’m reading.
Well anyway I just needed a 10th message so I can start shoveling my life savings at strangers I met on the internet for things I definitely don’t really need.
Thanks!

Panthera 22/600 Altaros slug 1st impression

Just recd my ATP smooth CNC slugs from STO (3 days transit). These are the 5.52mm 32.3grain with claimed BC of 0.18. To be clear, I have no specific intent for these - I’m just a tinkerer.

My Panthera 22/600 is dialed in for Javelin 26g at 980fps (55fpe) and is very accurate. I’ve got no reason to go beyond 120y on a practical level and favor accuracy and a calm shot cycle over big power.

I didn’t alter the tune for the ATP slugs because I read that they do well at lower speed and that suits me just fine, as you’ll see later. Chronied the first five at 885fps, which some (inc. Altaros) say is the sweet spot. These slugs have a subtle boat tail and another user suggested a pin probe. I have the pellet probe as standard and changing looks to be a big hassle with the Panthera, so I left that alone. I did inspect the ability of the pellet probe to contact the subtle boat tail and it seems fine (because it’s so subtle the probe just catches the base). Given that I’m getting 56fpe from the ATP slugs (relative to 55 from the Javelins), I don’t seem to be suffering regarding power, and there were no issues chambering and shooting, nor with accuracy, as you’ll see…. Further, no lubing or cleaning and leading in - just went straight from Javelins (~400 since initial cleaning) to the ATPs…

After measuring speed, I dialed in for POI at 40y and it was a shift of exactly 1 moa left and down (in terms of impact point). The slugs were hitting each other at that range.

I then took it out to 110y, which is my max opportunity right now (in my yard), with my typical circular block of duct seal pinned to a tree. Winds of 10-12 but consistent in direction. Enough that I wouldn’t normally test but figured that if the BC claim is good, it shouldn’t matter! On that note, I should say that I didn’t do anything to check that BC, although multiple people have suggested it checks out very closely. Finally, I should mention that I’m at 5k feet elevation, which further enhances BC and mandates less twist for stabilization.

Attached is a pic of the 8 shot group with gun on bags. Literally the first 8 shots out of the barrel following the chrony and sighting. No cherry picking, 2 cups of Joe and a fairly casual approach! It’s 0.85” and so, comfortably sub MOA. I might get that with the Javelins on the very best day and perhaps this is the best day I’ll ever get with the ATPs. So at this point, I’ll just say that I am very impressed and will be getting a lot more of these. In part because the gun was even more settled and quieter, which again is very important to me. I don’t like airguns that end up like PBs…

Finally, I removed one slug from the duct seal that was well separated and found (1) that it expanded very well (these are not hollow points), and (2) it was a remarkably concentric expansion with the front side looking like a ball bearing (see poorish quality cellphone pics). This suggest to me that they are well stabilized in flight and I that would be comfortable using them for hunting, given the expansion.
45D76404-818D-48AB-80ED-CEC2C9F3065C.jpeg

No connection to Altaros or anyone else (just an average Joe) but kudos to them for a great product IMHO. No qualms about the cost given the performance!
