Accident. Daystate Air Ranger bottle front part blasts

I know HPA is not a joke but under the scenario this accident happened raises many questions on the safety while using the products of even the top end companies of the world.

For the peace of mind and safety, I always make plenums out of solid bar of high grade stainless steel. It costs more and weighs more but safety first.

Another old crosman in the stable.

The Crosman Model 70 is a .177 caliber, bolt action, single CO2 pellet rifle with dovetail scope rails made to resemble the Winchester Model 70 firearm. These were manufactured between 1973 and 1980

The gun was not a huge success compared to other models. Just to much plastic. most have probably been broken over the years. the plastic barrel shroud will crack and break if not taken care of.

They are attractive, decked out in a wood stock.

This one is one of the best examples I personally have seen. and surprisingly shoots pretty good at 40 yards. 15 shots, haven't adjusted sight.

Twenty years later

20 years ago one of our more senior AGN members sent this Steyr LG100 to Allen Zasadny for some of his extraordinary airgun gunsmithing skills. I was fortunate to acquire this beauty just this year and even more fortunate to be able to send it straight back to Allen Zasadny for several updates. I figure nobody should touch another tuners / gunsmiths work.
Got the gun scoped out and zeroed and created my basic dope charts. This gun is very light compared to my other FT platforms and it performed as you would expect a Steyr to - so it’s a real shooter!

Airforce Condor or Benjamin Marauder for accuracy?

After a LOT OF QUESTIONS I've decided to spend more than I estimated (first time right?) and have whittled my choices down between the Airforce Condor and Benjamin Marauder, both in .22; but dang that .25 hits hard....

For those in the know, which one tends to be the most accurate out of the box, say out to 75 or even 100 yard crow work? I don't mind the single shot if it's more accurate than a repeater.
Thanks in advance,
Gos

PCP Rifle  NLA FX Maverick Sniper 25 and 22 Cals

This Maverick came as a 25 Sniper, 580 bottle, pictures show it with a 600mm barrel.
Currently has (2) 25 mags, 25 cal pin probe installed and will have the 700mm Superior barrel also. Lost the original shroud to an experiment so it comes with an Impact shroud, just a little shorter.
Included is 22 probe and (1) 22 magazine with the 700mm Superior barrel and FX stock moderator.

Current tune is without hammer weight and heavier valve spring for light pellets - will tune to desired pellet and speed in 25 cal.

Targets  NLA RMAC target starter set!

The event that happens in Utah uses mostly MGM brand targets. That's where I got these from a few years ago. I used them as templates to make my own for practice. I have no use for them anymore as I will not be returning to that exhibition. These are the same targets used for both speed and precision. Personally, I find value in practicing with the same targets that will be used at an event, whenever possible.
Everything is very high quality and made from 3/16 AR400 steel and rated to hold up to 36-42gr traveling at 800-1100fps. Most of their targets are relatively inexpensive (~$12) but, the bases are quite pricey! That's where most of my price for this set comes from. I'm also including an MGM target T-post mount. I like how they designed their targets to hang from the bases. The square hole design forces you to turn them to the side in order to mount them. This stops them from bouncing off when they get shot. Simple and clever, IMO.
Here's a link to the website - MGM targets Check them out, they've got a lot of fun and challenging targets! You can also take a look at the possibility of picking up some hex targets to challenge yourself and practice with.
I'm also throwing in a home made Fox target. I welded some threaded rod onto a piece of rebar and then cut out the shape of a fox similar to the one MGM sells and that was used at 91 yards in the speed event 2 years ago. It's not perfect and it's not AR400 but, it held up to me shooting it with my comp rifle at 91y.

PCP Rifle  NLA FX Royale 22 with extras

This gun started out as a 400 with synthetic stock, aluminum bottle and unregulated. Added the laminate stock, carbon bottle, Huma reg, all new o-rings and a few other parts . Along with the gun comes synthetic stock, left over parts from upgrades, (2) 22 mags, (2) 25 mags, 25 barrel and parts to change to 25 caliber (no 25 shroud) - everything included is in the pictures. Both barrels are the original smooth twist.

Currently tuned to shoot 18.1s at 850-860, this gun shoots great - it just needs to go to someone who will shoot it, reducing inventory.

Asking 1250 shipped for everything. PayPal FF

48 end of the line

Well, I couldn’t drive past AGS knowing I had a hold. Walked out with a Diana 48 .22. and a 2x7x30 Air Max. I have a N-tec waiting for a trigger assembly. Someone’s return. Be a while before it’s ready.
But that’s it. No more guns. Unless an old classic.
IMG_6208.jpeg
IMG_6212.jpeg
I like the butt end with contrast. Jacking it is similar to the 54.
IMG_6213.jpeg
Decent looking rifle. Hits like a mule kicks.
IMG_6209.jpeg
Not a fan of plastic union of course.
IMG_6210.jpeg
And this front sight has got cheese all over it. I’m hoping to remove the sore sight.
I’m going to put a scope on this Bazooka. Another hard hitting Diana. Should be a fun rifle.
Are there many 48’s out there?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Wildcat Mk3 BT - You pick the Caliber and Set Up - If you've been wanting a WC BT this is the deal you've been waiting for!

I have a couple Wildcat Mk3 BT's and I've decided to let one go because I never shoot it (too many guns, not enough time! Lol). It's currently set up in .30cal with a 600mm .30cal Barrel w/Superior Liner and 580cc bottle. that definitely lays the smack down with 44g JSB/FX pellets. But, not everyone wants a .30cal so I will set this gun up in any FX caliber you choose in any configuration ( Compact 500mm w/300cc bottle, Standard 600mm w/480cc bottle, or Sniper 700mm w/580cc bottle). Gun is in PERFECT like new condition with ZERO issues.. It just plain shoots lights out. Gun comes with a couple of "Custom" features we can discuss when you reply. Gun comes with one FX Sideshot magazine in the caliber you choose and includes a Hard Case with Custom Logo on it. I'm asking $1550 shipped/insured. Paypal F&F or Zelle/Venmo also accepted. I have additional Barrels, Probes, Bottles, Magazines in just about every caliber, length, etc for additional $$ if you so choose. I also have several VERY NICE Scopes (Hawke and Vector) available for an additional cost if you're interested. Pics and contact information will be sent to SERIOUS replies. I don't want to trade for anything, I have everything I want/need already. I promise you the buyer will be extremely happy with whatever configuration they go with.

Thanks for looking.. Hope to hear from you soon.

FX Crown MK2 ?

Hi Folks
This is my first post.
I am looking at buying a very good condition FX Crown Mk2. .22 The advert says Mk2 but I am a bit suspicious.
The engraving on the body does not say MK2. I believe it may be a "compact" version.
It has the black gauges and the later barrel removal screws on the side as opposed to the top and the picatinny rails.
I read somewhere online that there may have been an in between Mk1 and Mk2 model, Gen 2 that has some of the Mk2 mods but not all.
Some had the larger plenum and some did not. It would be nice to know before parting with the cash.
I would rather buy a new Mk2 than an older model if that makes sense.
Can any of the FX gurus throw any light on this? Is it possible to check using the serial number?

The Gauntlet2, Bench rest @28 yards.

Some of you may know that I have Gauntlet2 that I have been disapointed with since I've owned it. I have allready returned it, but Umerex was happy with its accuracy, and sent it back to me. I just thought that a rifle aught to be able to out shoot my pistol? To fix my problem I purchased an Fx Crown Mk2, and kept this guy to learn on.
I want to mention that my G2 is not representative of all G2's out there. Some folks have great shooters.
Right now Im intensionaly shooting coarse ammo in an attempt to break in the chamber chamfer, which didn't exist when I got it. This idea was passed along by someone who knows Gauntlets. Besides I'm ejoying it, and the guns is improving.
I had purchased a couple cans of Copper thinking that those should be harder than Crosman's. One of the tins shot awful, and the other shot as good as i've seen this gun shoot.
The awful ones were Excite Spitzkugel's Giving me a group of 4.5 inches at 28 yards, 153 shots
The others were H&N Baracuda Power. They shot about an inch and half, with most centered and fliers around the perimeter. The Baracuda's were good enough that I could get off the paper and do some plinking.
Next I'll shoot all of my Crossman and Benjamin's, then clean the barrel meticulously, and shoot some JSB 18gr, and see if we're making progress.
The gun is in its best shape at the moment with a nice trigger, and cocking without missing, you know, when you have to pull the mag to prevent a double load? It hasn't been doing that any more.
I'm still having to hit the bolt with my palm to seat the pellets though, but it is getting easier.

Here's the target

The Excite group in the middle, and the Barracuda's lower left. They had some pretty good pop on those Co2 cartridges. Took a primer out of a shotgun hull, and all kinds of other amall targets.

FX and Walnut

I saw some posts on Facebook and some people put together a Dreamline and another rifle with Minelli stocks. Wow, those sure are purty. Hey FX-how about making some walnut stocks available for more of your rifles such as the Wildcat. I have or have had 7 different FX rifles, but all except my Crown laminate were plumbers parts guns. They shoot well but I wouldn't take them to the prom.

Red Wolf for PRS? Yes!

This gun started as a midnight blue .22 Red Wolf HP that I won at EBR 2019 for winning Sportsman Class 100Y BR. I shot it in competition in 2020 and 2021 at 100Y BR events and the gun did well, even posting the overall high score at RMAC 2021 of 229-8x. I’ve called the gun Bleu ever since I got it.

IMG_3102.jpeg

But I wasn’t happy with the ammo after JSB shifted from shallow cavity to deep cavity in their 25.4 grain Monster Redesigns. So, for 100Y BR I shifted to .25 Heavy and bought a new .25 RW for 100Y BR - and finished 3rd at EBR 2022.

So I’ve recently gotten into NRL-22 and positional shooting. And what better way to do it than with a Red Wolf in a PRS stock? It still shoots RDMs very well at 975 fps, and I’ll be testing some slugs this weekend. I’m hoping the Altaros 32.3 grain at 900 fps will be the magic ticket, but that’s to be seen. The gun balances perfectly, and of course with that trigger how can you go wrong? Thanks so much to Rob and AoA for providing that awesome red chassis! More to follow on slug tuning…
Looks like Bleu has “transitioned” to Red. 🙄
