PCP triggers

I've been gunsmith ING now for over 45 years so trigger work is nothing new. I'm in the process of upgrading my two FX Royale triggers to Boss triggers to get a more refined two stage trigger and have read everything on the subject I can find while waiting for the triggers to arrive.

After all this work I was wondering if you all realized just how fantastic the Weihrauch HW100 triggers are? They are in a class with A nschutz, Steyr, Walther etc. They don't always come from the factory set up perfectly or even have all the adjustment screws in them that can make them fantastic but with one set screw and the minor stretching of a spring, they easily are a great true two stage match trigger. There are also numerous hidden adjustments or refinements that I doubt many even know exist.
Fine rifles, a bit heavy until you replace the steel air cylinders with titanium, but after that a truly magnificent rifle. No fancy smooth twist barrel or loopy wheel trigger, just good old German engineering, rifled target barrels and great triggers.

Fill fittings

I definitely prefer fill ptobes to quick connect. There is no manufacturing standards for guick connect. It is a mismatched cluster jam. Some fit together, some don't. Contrast that with fill probes. Fill probes always work smoothly and efficiently. Fill probes will not fly off under pressure as the quick connect will if not fully engaged. The argument I hear for QC is universal fit, fine concept, failed execution. I'll take a probe over QC whenever possible

Least Favorite Pellet

Time to shake things up in the forum again🥴🤣🤪🤙
So many posts about your favorite pellets...🤔
Makes me wonder about the other end of the spectrum a bit.
Now of I HAD to pick one....

The Gamo Silent Cat, black coated .177 pointed...

Only because some of my slingers REALLY don't like them.
My P17 won't even launch them out of the barrel(but my 880 will sling them decently)😅
Let's hear it; what pellets are you all steering clear of?*reasons?
🤣no hate allowed in here, just preferences🤓🤙

Finally some time to shoot my RTI compact

I've been busy with work then when I get home I have my farm chores to do. Starting in the next few days I'll be cutting lumber on my sawmill so that will leave very little to no time to shoot. Today I took off work to build some fence that only took a few hours. That left me some time to shoot. I've only been shooting my RTI compact here lately going on about a year. I just love the little rifle and the barrel swap thing just about every manufacturer is doing.. I have the 510mm LW 177 barrel (I love shooting slugs in it. shoots pellets great also) and the 400mm CZ 25 barrel (great pellet barrel) I had an old HW 22 barrel I bought years ago so I machined it to fit my compact... It's also 510mm. Which it's wearing now. It's always been a great pellet barrel but back then there were just pellets..no slugs. Today I wanted to see if I could get it to shoot 22 slugs.. before I machined the HW Barrel a few weeks ago I pushed a slug through it.. it had no choke.. and was checking.217. I have some .2165, .217 and some .2175 NSA in 17.5gr and 20.2gr on hand.. it shot the .217 17.5gr and the 20.2gr right there with my 18gr pellets.. I had to up the reg from 100b to 125-130b and a small hammer spring adjustment to get the slugs to shoot... But yeah it loves them. In the end though I set it back up for the 18gr pellets for the job it has as of now.. starling duty.. I do plan on using the slugs when squirrel season comes in though.. all in all it has been a great day..

Zbroia  My new "black rifle!"

I am a wood stock, long gun PCP/PB rifle traditionalist and have no interest in black plastic tactical-style rifles. But I finally found a black, wood-stocked traditional rifle that is a one-hole shooter at 25 yards in my back yard. This was a LNIB purchase from AoA at a really good price and it is a beauty and a shooter. Very much backyard friendly with just the stock shroud with no moderator. However, I slipped on a 0dB 110C and it is just a pffff! This is a .22 Zbroia Hortitsia w/220cc tube in Black. 300 BAR fill. A beautiful gun made in Ukraine. Date of manufacture was March 2020, so it has the updated bolt latch, to prevent unintentional bolt blow back. Everything about this rifle exudes quality . . . did I mention it is just as accurate as my Daystate Huntsman Regal or my AA S510 Carbine or my BSA R10? A real tack driver, light weight and I think it is now my number one choice as a hunting rifle. I could not recommend this rifle more to anyone looking for an accurate and light weight traditional hunting rifle. I have a 30mm tube Optisan EVX 10x44mm scope (on sale at Utah Airguns) with low rings, that keep the scope as low as possible to the shroud. The comb of the stock is perfect height for these low rings/44mm scope.
You can read more about this rifle at this Airgun Depot link: https://www.airgundepot.com/zbroia-hortizia-air-rifle.html

PCP Rifle  NLA Fx dreamtac compact 22 with utg stock and ergo grip for brocock atomic or ranger 22cal

I have a fx dreamtac compact in 22 with 320mm barrel and 300cc bottle that I just installed the 910 airguns short throw cocking lever on that I’m looking to trade for a 22 cal brocock atomic or ranger.

Let me know what you have, and message me for pics or more info. It’s currently sporting a utg stock and buffer tube, and an ergo standard grip. I have it tuned to shoot crosman pellets like lasers at 760fps for just over 100shots per fill with the 300cc bottle.

Got my New CS 4 today......

Got the new CS4 compressor today....took the cover off it and turned it upside down and drained the old water out, popped the water return line at the top of the reservoir out of the push fitting and ran it to a small bucket. Filled the reservoir and turned the pump on and as it would pump down I kept re-filling it, flushed it out very well and got all the air out of the lines and filled it with a coolant mix. I got the cover back on and put the plug in the air line, set it to 300 bar and I used a timer....took 23 seconds to pump up and shut off....the manual says it should take around 38 seconds....I'm hoping that's a good sign...lol I filled my MK3 with it from 150 bar to 250 bar...I didn't time it but it probably took 4 mins at the most to top it off. I'm really liking this thing, I just hope it lasts a while....it's definitely a lot different than the Yong Heng I've been using, a hell of a lot quieter....:)

I also got a vibration meter to put on it....has anyone used one of these on their CS4 ...and where did you install it on the case...???

PCP Rifle  SOLD Daystate Delta Wolf .25 (like new - reduced!)

I’ve only shot this rifle a few times with maybe 4 or 5 magazines total. It’s a great shooter and everything works like it should, but I’m just not shooting it and I hate seeing it just collecting dust in my safe.

The gun was purchased by me from AoA last year and has 4 years left on the warranty. This is a newer production version with upgraded internals.

Comes with everything you see in the photos: rifle, magazine, hard case, manuals, charger, and charging cable.

Asking $1950 shipped CONUS. PayPal F&F preferred. Message me with any questions - thanks!

Beeman P1... up to snuff?

Early P1 from the Santa Rosa era in .20
Using a jsb 13.43 I cronied it at an average of 320fps. With a spread between 329 and 309fps. On line specs say up to 500fps.
The pistol has been in deep storage for decades!
Will not bust a beer bottle at 10 feet.
Attached is what happens when shot at said beer bottle.
Shot cycle is smooth and accuracy is spot on.
I did put some Tune-in-a-tube on the spring.
Keep shooting it and hope to 'wake' it up?
Put a couple drops of silicone oil to the piston seal?
Or is this completely normal?
