FX  FX Wildcat MK3 leak (cannot be filled anymore)

FX Wildcat MK3 .22, with a slow leak from day one. Bought brand new. Leaking from the barrel.
Takes more than a month for pressure to drop down to 100 bar, so I did not go to the trouble to return it.
Big mistake. After a few months of inactivity, I tried to fill it from empty and I could not.
All the air was leaking from the barrel.

I thought that the valve pin had an issue and I replaced the tiny o-ring. ID 1.5mm x CS1.0mm
Same thing!
All air is coming out from the barrel. Even if I cock it, the air is still coming out from the barrel
and the breech pellet hole! If I cover both holes with my fingers no air is escaping from elsewhere.

Any ideas before I throw it in the bin with all the leaking FXs...?
Thanks.

RTI  More Mora Fun

Once again at the indoor range with the Mora. I'm hooked on this gun. Today was a short day, only time for four targets but I did record some thru the scope video on target #3 which today turned out to be the best of the four. As usual I tried to keep the video short. It's about 2.5 minutes long so you shouldn't get too bored.

Traditional Rifle  NLA Vintage Air Rifle possibly Relum $140 Shipped

This is a vintage air rifle from the 1960's era.

In my research it appears to be a Relum from Hungary.

It's a .177 and a strong shooter that's in decent shape for its age.

It's shooting 472 fps average with Crosman Premier 7.4 pellets.

This would make a nice addition to your collection and even a very good shooter.

$140 shipped to continental US.
Check, MO or Bank Check only.

POI Shift - gun or scope?

It seems that on most of my guns, I'll have it sighted in at a certain distance with a certain pellet but the next time I take it out the POI will have shifted from 1/2" to 2" at 25 yards. Could this be a trait of cheap scopes? I have always economized when it comes to buying scopes. The most I have paid is about $125 with most about half that amount. I guess I've been afraid if I ever bought a really good, ie. expensive, scope I would be spoiled and would no longer be happy with my cheap scopes. If the POI shift is due to my cheap scopes, what would be a good scope for say under $200? Almost all my shooting is 50 yards and less.

Traditional Rifle  NLA My beloved .177 R9 from Straight Shooters, with discontinued Leupold 4x28 Rimfire and pellet sampler

Apparently I have lost my touch with a springer. I used to brag about how good I could shoot them, but not anymore. So I am going to sell this rifle to somebody who deserves her.

Here is my beloved .177 Beeman R9 from Straight Shooters. I purchased this rifle when they were closing out. Rifle has a very small scratch on the barrel and a tiny rust spot that will probably wipe off with an oily rag, but better that you see pictures before I start wiping her down.

Also has a pressure mark on the underside of the buttstock, and looke like some freckling of some sort of the checkering on one side. Probably happened in the squirrel woods 🤷‍♂️

Rifle comes with original boxes it was shipped in, complete with the original invoice from Straight Shooters.

This rifle scope is a discontinued Leupold 4x28 Rimfire. It compliments the gun perfectly, was bought for it, and will go with it. Apparently I misplaced the box the scope came in. I will continue to hunt for it.

I will also include a .177 Straight Shooters pellet sampler. If I recall correctly, I actually ordered the rifle and the sampler in .22 caliber. They accidentally shipped me this one instead, but it was so beautiful and shot so well I kept it. It shipped with a .22 caliber sampler, and they shipped me the .177 sampler free of charge after I received this stellar rifle that I refused to let go of. It pretty much shoots everything you feed it pretty good, and I have been feeding it Crosman premiers. You can probably read about that in my initial review of this gun a few years back.

You get the rifle, scope, and pellet sampler for $750, plus shipping. I hope she finds a good home.

Quiet backstop

I'm wanting to setup a little squirrel feeding station. The backstop is where I'm running into a problem. I've had a few ideas in my head to decrease noise due to neighbors. I've read about people using rubber stall mats, gym floor mats, duct seal, old clothes, and rubber mulch. What would be the easiest and most cost effective? I want to make 3 small feeders to attract the squirrels to an area that is safe to shoot. I definitely don't want the THWACK sound. I will probably use wood for the feeder and backstop but I want to put a dampening material in front of the wood. I read the squirrel feeder thread and saw some interesting designs. What are your thoughts?

Optics  SOLD Tasco Japan TS62444 target scope

Nice older Tasco target scope 6-24X44 in very good shape. Works just as it should and really clear. I used it on a 22LR bench rifle and it worked just fine. I no longer shoot BR so no real need for it. I've seen these sell for big money, but I'm just passing along a decent target scope.
$150 shipped in con US.

Umarex  New to PCP and Modding, Looking for Guidance on the Notos

I’ve been digging through the forum and found a ton of great info on mods. I’m new to PCPs and picked up a Notos with plans to start modding it later on, but I didn’t realize how deep this rabbit hole goes……

I’m trying to wrap my head around how everything works and how the different parts interact. Every day I’m learning a bit more, but right now I feel like I’m missing a clear-cut guide that explains how the system functions overall.

Does anyone have any beginner-friendly threads, diagrams, YouTube videos, or build logs that helped you when you were starting out? I saw that @Firewalker managed higher velocities using FX barrel liners without porting and a few others have put together some impressive builds (regs, bottles, plenums, etc) with the Notos. That’s the kind of stuff I’m trying to understand better.

Also, what are some common mistakes or “no-no’s” that might not be obvious to someone new to all this?

I’d appreciate any advice, resources, or even a quick PM if you’ve got time to help a newcomer out. Just trying to soak it all in without getting lost. Thanks in advance

Update: Immersive 10x40 Zero Eye Relief Optic

I've owned this optic on a Huben K1 since last October. I have had zero issues with the scope. I have been using it a lot lately and really like it.

The field of view is quite large for 10x because of eye placement against the rubber cup. If there is a downside it is that I am a hunter and I use 4-8x on most of my rimfires. 10x is a lot more of a challenge to hold steady so a nice rest is very helpful.

The focus knob works great and requires very tiny adjustment to change focus. Best of all the glass is super clear. Best $500 I've ever spent on an optic!
