Air Arms  Why you shouldn’t overpressurize your S4xx/5xx

I put a regulator in my S410E awhile ago and started charging it to 250 bar for the extra shot capacity. Well, today while charging it spit out an o-ring near the fill port. I guess you can see why. Oh well, maybe I can turn it into a blunderbuss.

Which FT class for Pumper?

If I were to shoot a .22 Benji Pumper with 14.3 JSB at 600 fps (11.5 fpe), what class could or would I shoot in? AAFTA
It’s not Pre-charged, so not a PCP.
It’s not a Springer.
It’s under 12 fpe.
It would be closest to a gas ram type break barrel I would think, but not sure.
Anyone run across this before or have an opinion? Thanks!

Flattest Shooting Air Rifle You Have ?

Flattest Shooting Air Rifle you have ?
I am curious on say your long distance shooting and what your flattest shooting round in caliber, distance, speed and Bc ?

So hypothetical if you had a zero of 50, 75 or 100, what would your drop be at say 125, 150, 175, 200 in inches or feet? What if you are off 2 yards with your estimate ?
Trying to compare my numbers with you other long distance shooters.....

Thanks again,

Thanks Jay

Nostalgically looking at pcp progression in style /type of guns

I want to hear about peoples progressions in style of gun

For example I started PCPing in 2009 -10 with traditional style rifles ( marauder )
Later on down the road Bullpups we’re the next style.
Then much more recent the carbine and mini carbines

Before 2009 I had 22 odd springers now I have 4

N/A  The PCP has to compatible with the scope.

No matter which PCP we are talking about nor which scope either.

In order to feel comfortable with the rifle, you have to mount on it an adequate scope for the kind of use you will give to the rifle.

It is not the same need the one on EBR than the need of getting a quick aiming point for hunting.

A bad selection of scope will make you not to feel comfortable with the rifle, even if it is the very best rifle you could have bought.

3-12x32 scope choices?

I am wanting a scope that is at least 12x on upper end and 3x-4x on lower end but need it to be 32mm and 1" tube. A 40mm is hitting barrel so not considering anything over 32mm. I realize l could just get higher rings and a cheek pad but what's the fun in that. The only 3-12x32 scope, I can find reasonable priced, is the UTG 3-12x32 bug buster or l am l missing one? Any negatives on this scope. It doesn't come with a etched glass reticle so looking at a thick reticle. 150.00 so glass is probably urr. Just building a 30 yard squirrel walk about gun. Thanks, Don

FX  Why are the panthera and dynamic poorly made?

Good day,

After doing further research, it seems that the dynamic and the panthera have had a series of continuous issues. From the o-rings, to plenums, what’s going on? Before purchasing I’ve been doing more research and it seems like this product was released too soon. What’s everyone else’s suggestions?

Other  Sheridan vs HW30s

I finally stopped shooting this lil HW30 long enough to pull out the chrony to see how it compares to my 1965 Sheridan, Bluestreak.
The HW30 averaged 490 fps, a bit more than the Bluestreak with three strokes at 466fps, and a bit less than the Bluestreak with four stroke.strokes, averaging 507fps. I'm shooting, Exact FT 13.73s.gr.

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch accuracy?

With intermittent light winds shot these targets with a few of my Weihrauchs. The order was left to right starting top row. Incidentally the first group for each gun was shot cold off the rack. All five shots scoped at 25 yards. AND NO! NOT OFFHAND for all the heros out there.
Starting from top left moving right
177 Hw50, 4.53 8.44 JSB Exacts that's my squrl gun.
177 Hw30 7.33 Exact RS
Last three groups on the top row were my 20 cal R9 with 13.73 Exacts.
Second row first two groups is my 177 Hw95 with JSB 8.44 4.52. NFG.
Next three, same gun 4.51 FTTs

Last row all the same 177 Hw95 but 4.52 FTTs.

Just an accuracy cross sampling of few different Weihrauch guns for those interested. Feel free to ask questions.

Be well
Ron

New to Airgun Nation

Hi all,

I just thought I'd introduce myself.

I've been shooting airguns for many years on and off, and my main interest lies in plinking and traditional German break-barrel spring-piston air rifles. My current air rifles are a Falke Model 70 and a two-year-old Weihrauch HW30S, both in .177. I have somewhere to shoot rabbits but haven't had a chance to do any sporting shooting this year.

All the best, spikey.

Pumpkins vs. Airguns

Greetings fellow airgunners! Check out my video as I try to "carve" some jack-o'-lanterns with airguns. I started my channel a month ago, so I appreciate feedback and tips. This was fun, give it a shot if you get the chance! Happy shooting.

Video features:
Smith & Wesson M&P 40 4.5mm BB
Crosman DPMS SBR 4.5mm BB
Air Venturi Avenger .177 caliber
Air Venturi Avenger .22 caliber
Umarex Notos .22 caliber
Benjamin Marauder .25 caliber

ELR Coyote , How Far Would You Go ?

ELR Coyote , How Far Would You Go ?

Extreme Long Ranger Shooters I have a question for you about what you would consider the longest shot you could ethically take on a coyote ?
I am curious with follow up questions.
1. What Caliber ?
2. What Rifle ?
3. Heavily Modded ?
4. Max Distance ?
5. Ammo and BC ?
6. Curious on how accurately you feel you need to judge range , You need to be +1,-1 one yard ....

You guys do some fine long range shooting, I just kind of want to hear from the more discipline long range shooters of what could be possible.

Crosman  Choking an cheap airgun barrel?

Just bought a .177 Crosman cheap springer. Accuracy is not to good. Didn't expect it to shoot like my HW97 but about 3"at 30 yards is a little much. Pushed several different brands of pellets, 4.50 to 4.53, thru barrel. All pellets kind of fall down barrel with very light to no resistance and no noticeable choke. Anyone successful found a way to choke an airgun barrel? Thanks, Don

Optics  SOLD 13340 Hawke Airmax 8x32x50, really low sell *

$200.00 Paypal

Sold Gun, * however, the scope always held "Zero" but it always seems to adjust more than expected. Such as if I wanted to move it 2" right, it would move it 4" right. Maybe it was me but it didn't seem right.

I bought the scope from a Forum Member about 2 years ago.
*I am selling it "AS IS", as I really don't know if it's me or the scope.

EDgun  Leshiy2 "dwell time" tuning?

First the Story:
For over a year I had the FX .22x600 liner mounted on the L2, 0.5+0.7 jets were performing about a MOA pretty consistently with MRD's @ 50 meter rings.
I can safely say the L2 have total exceeding 10K shots, earlier this year I had to replace some worn parts that were effecting the indexing mechanism.
Back in time I was playing more with jets (until I finished my learning curve) and I can recall that 2x0.7 jets @ 140 bars on REPR were the limit that feed the indexing mechanism well, if I increased the jet sizes the mechanism started suffocating.
I am planning to re-purpose the FX liners now to other guns, I have several other .22x500 and .25x500 barrels (clones of AP polygonal rifling in 1:17.7) that I would like to mount now to L2.
The goal is to make this L2 basement friendly for the incoming winter.

Now the Question:
What is a knowledge base about shortening the Dwell timing for a given caliber and barrel length?
What I am seeing the L2 blows too much dust on the floor with .22x500 and jets 0.5+0.7. I have no problem replacing jets but I have problem with degassing many times, because at the moment my YH would need some attention but next time in my hands.
Theoretically 2x0.8 or 2x0.9 jets? can still feed the indexing?
I don't speak Russian but can recognize some random words, I ran into some hacks on YT... what is it about?

Brocock/BRK  Issue with new BRK Ghost .25

Just got a new Ghost .25 in the mail today and boy was I excited. 200bar with reg set to 150 and wheel at 15. When working the lever I do not feel the action cocking and pulling the trigger does nothing. The lever does travel its full length. Called the shop purchased from and they suggested adjusting the "f" screw on the trigger, followed by the "a" screw. No luck. It was then suggested to drop the cassette and check for pin etc. however I cannot get it to drop. I tried pulling the trigger and using gravity, nails, small flathead and bumping on a soft surface. No luck.

It will be going back to the shop on Monday, however wanted to check the collective brain of the forum as I will have the weekend.

PCP Rifle  SOLD FX Crown MKII 25 cal.

Up for sale is an FX Crown MKII in 25 cal. It has the 600mm superior heavy liner and loves both the 34 grain MKI's and MKII's at 920. No leaks and is still at the same air pressure as when it got back from RMAC this year.

This rifle (Skeletor) has won EFT, Silhouette, 75, and 100 yard bench rest here in Arizona at local competitions. It got me in the Sportsman finals at EBR last year and also in the Sportsman finals at RMAC this year.

You get 4 FX side shot magazines, 1 aluminum old school magazine, and a Carm single shot loader. The hollow FX moderator keeps it pretty darn quiet also.

The Saber Tactical stock is very adjustable and is great off the bench and bucket/sticks.

Team Centercut stickers will be removed before shipping.

Scope, mounts and bi pod not included. No trades.
