PCP Rifle  SOLD BRK Sniper XR Safari Magnum 25

I have a Brocock Sniper XR Magnum with the Safari stock in .25 caliber for sale. Condition is excellent. The gun has maybe a tin of pellets through it. I have a RW HP in .25, a Huben K1, and a @zx10wall tuned Uragan in .25 so the gun doesn't get much shooting at all anymore. Time to hand it over to someone who will shoot it. Plenum reg set to about 150. I have shot JSB M2 33.95gr at 935 FPS (FX Chrony) and it will drive a tack at 50 and 100 yards. The gun is way more accurate than me. Comes with the BRK magazine and a CARM magazine. Scope, mounts and moderator are not included. $1550 TYD using PP F&F. If you want a PP invoice, I'll tack on the 3%. $1000 shipped if you would rather have the synthetic stock (I have both). The safari stock is something else... Please ask if there are any questions.

GX cs4-i

Hello everyone,

There seems to be a GX CS4-i model aswell with build in 12v converter on Alibaba(from the official factory of GX).

Link on alibaba : https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...html?spm=a2700.shop_pl.41413.9.1fde6f95ekdTs3

I'm kinda interested in this model but there isnt a grease pot like the normal CS4. Instead it says now "grease filling". I'd like to know first how the grease should be filled on this model.

Does anyone have an idea?

Tuning  your thoughts on slugs at low speeds? (790-820fps)

would like to hear about anyones experiences with lower speed slugs,
specifically in the 790 to 820 ish fps range.

i have been wringing out the rainson edge and trying out both barrels......

.22 barrel reg at 135bar shoots jts 18gn pellets at 900fps amazingly well. (full mag 13yd groups i can cover with an aspirin)

.25 barrel seems to love LOVE h&n 28gn slugs at 795-800fps,
and when i say love i mean LOOOOOOOOOOOVE LOL

it shoots both the .249 and .250 h&n slugs very well,
but the .250 standard hp slug (not the II version with the deeper hollow point)
is really really good.

i left the reg at 135 when i switched to the .25 just to get a baseline,
they came out at 795-800fps
out of curiosity i started shooting groups with them,
and was amazed they shot just as good and better than pellets,
and it just does group after group very consistently like this.

heres a picture of a few groups,
yes its very close range (13yds)
but for the larger caliber slugs to beat the group size of pellets,
well, that impresses the hell out of me lol

2 groups on the left are with the .250 hp II 28gn,
a 5 shot on the end,and then 2 more shots.

the 2 groups on the right are with the .250 hp 28gn,
a 5 shot on the end,and then 2 more.

Tuning  Pellet prep

I have been ill for a few days. As a means to kill some time I did a pellet prep bing yesterday. I prepared about 3000 pellets for the final lubrication phase for use in my TX200. I don't do that phase until I am ready to shoot them.

I typically use AA Field Heavy 10.3 grain in 4.52mm as they work well in my rig. They are usually very clan with a consistent head size. As such I do not generally clean or sort by head size. However when I get an inconsistent batch I do head sort.

I sort into bins routing to the nearest 1/10th grain. It usually takes 4 bins. I pull any damaged at that time as well.

After that I then set them up for lubrication. I use bees wax. I stand the up to keep the lubrication from getting behind the skirt.

I have been told I am perhaps overdoing things.

OK.

RTI  Prophet 1 reg issue

I bought a naked prophet 1, a short barrel, and a small bottle for it to make a true compact air rifle, so I put it together yesterday, pellet pusher first, then the barrel, the shroud and end cap, the bottle and regulator, then the butt plate. No issues at all, it was as easy as it could be. Until I filled the rifle.
I had a prophet 2, I rebuilt the regulator, put it together, and worked flawlessly on the P2, but something is wrong, the regulator should be around the 50 bar mark as the set screw is backed almost completely out as in flush. But as I fill it the reg pressure matches the bottle pressure to 160 bar, am I doing something wrong that is obvious? Because this is blowing my mind for a day and a half now.

Need assistance in a model chrono

Hey, all, I need assistance on the certain chrono that folks found excellent enough to do what’s needed w/o breaking the bank. I recently got my bro in law into pcp’s and you all know the investment it takes to get started from having no pcp experience at all, so I’m trying to help him with a decent “must have” without breaking the bank or having my sister beat his a$$, ha ha!!

It’s the chrono that reads I believe in FPM(?) and is found on amazon for I believe less than $50? I tried searching thru amazon but theirs a ton of different types and I know at one time there was a popular one being used by members here.

Please provide a link so I can easily forward to him- thanks a bunch, all!!😃👍

RIP Strever, Dick

Its with great regret that my Father Richard aka Dick Strever has passed away after several years of Battling Cancer. Those who knew him, knew he was a avid gun collecter on top of the love to compete and shoots air rifles. Sadly his time has ended and is now at peace and with god.

My mother / Dicks wife has plans to sell 99% of his gun collection. The guns, the ammo, anything related to air rifles. Over the next month i will post pictures of as much stuff as i can. Or if anyone here has suggestions as to the best way to sell everyone off we are all ears. You can message me anytime. sorry not much on words so ill leave it at that.

If anyone knows of any other forums my father was on, please let me know so i can post there also.

Do you know me?

100% of my interactions with fellow air gunners are here on AGN or on the new HAM site. Some members here are lucky enough to shoot with friends and to make friends in competition. So their interactions are more interpersonal as well as online. I don’t pretend to know anyone here, whether through their “public” postings or “PMs”. The only thing I “assume” about them is that they are good people and they like Airguns. Recently I disagreed with a members’ public posting and expressed my opinion. Back and forth PMs ensued. We both agreed to chat on the phone to better clear the air. Big mistake on my part. It ended with me being seriously disrespected… by a person I held in high esteem. This left me perplexed as I at no time disrespected him. I’ve reached out to him via PM, realizing that in the heat of “his moment” he simply lost his temper? But no reply, it just irks me how he continues to post blithely, without acknowledging any wrongdoing. If he treated me, who he doesn’t know this way, will others who fall out of line, get the same disrespect? Oh well… Live and learn. And no I won’t be divulging, publicly or through PMs. He knows who he is… Reach out to me and let’s make amends.🙏

N50 cards with new JTS Dead Center 25.39 pellets

I ordered some tins (10) of JTS Dead Center 25.39 "shallow cavity" pellets from New England Air Guns.

I went out today to shoot both groups and a couple of N50 cards. I am happier with these vs. the old "Deep Cavity" JSB 25.39 MRDs. Much happier!

I shot the RAW HM1000X .22 HP which actually does shoot the older MRDs very well at 50 yards, but I am going to try these at 100 yards next chance I get with the RAW.

Group Shooting at 50 Yards - Shot eight 5-shot groups primarily with about .527" CTC average ( see attached ). I think if I got a no wind day, these would be much tighter, but can't complain about MOA at 50Y.

N50 Cards - Shot a 228 and a 240 card. First card, I had some difficulty with either my technique/wind, and the score reflected that. The 240 card was close to being a very good card, but we know how that goes!

RAW owners - If you have not tried the JTS Dead Center 25.39 pellets, give them a shot. I feel like the MRD is being reborn.

Tom
