Well I went to the doc today

After two weeks in pain I decided to see the doc today, I was told I broke my ribs. I thought that I bruised them bad but the pain wouldn't subside so decided to go in. I for one like to do things myself and I paid for it. I was getting a air tank ready for hydro. I was leaning over the bottle with my hand and arm on it and my other hand trying to twist the valve off. The valve was tight so I put my body weight into it, it let go resulting me throwing my chest into the tank. I was in so much pain I almost passed out. Just thought I'd give a little warning two people are sometimes better than one. I wasn't going to mention this but it might help someone from doing the same thing. Yes sh** happens and I did it

Chronograph, what’s your opinion?

I’ve been tuning a few rifles and have approx. 15 spring sets to install now. I’m not satisfied with my crony. I’m using the Caldwell. The FX was not working for me. I would like to get a good quality chronograph. I heard mention of a Garmin Zero and I’ve seen an orange one that looked serious. I don’t want one that’s complicated but simple to use and accurate.
I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Moderator, suppressor rules.

I looked for a sticky but did not find. I am used to paying the gov’t a fee and filling out paperwork to own firearms suppressors for powder burners. I am seeing in the airgun community that this is not so? You guys just buy and install?

What is the difference? What would happen to me if i have papered suppressors, and also airgun suppressors in my possession. The Alphabet org could claim i had them to install on my powder rifles? I need educated before i own one of these. Is there a resource here?

Which wood stock protector do you use?

Hey folks. I've got a Huben K1 (.25) with a wood stock. This is going to by my primary woods-walking hunting rifle. I'm anticipating more dings and scratches since it's going to be a weekly carrier. I chose wood for various personal reasons, but know it's gonna get scratched. Looking for opinions. Since it's wood stock, what does everyone else use to protect their wood stocks and why? 'Wood' love to see pics also, lol. Thanks.

Targets  NLA Airgun Pellets

I have a bunch of Mr. Hollowpoint pellets for sale. I sold some of my air rifles and now need to get rid of the pellets. Let me know if you're interested. I have 450 99 grain .357 pellets that fit in the HP Max .357 mags, some larger grain .357s that are good for hunting, a bunch of .457s in different weights, and some .72s. Let me know if interested.

PCP Rifle  NLA .257 Veradium Air Taurus(ish)

Ok. Here’s the deal with this gun. I bought a Veradium Air Taurus in .357 that was an extreme under performer. It went back to Brian to get “fixed”. In the meantime, I decided I really wanted a .257. I called Brian and asked if her could convert the Taurus into a regulated, mag fed .257. He said yes, and I’d be able to get 16 regulated shots in the 100 fpe range. Long story short, I’m into this gun for $1200, a $900 drone and a .22 Ataman M2R. So for $2600ish, I now have a non regulated, 10 shot, no magazine .257. It wasn’t until deep into the conversion he told me of the changes. I stupidly agreed to them. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pretty nice gun, but not worth $2600. It will shoot 55gr slugs at 980-880 over 10 shots. After my fall out with Brian, I really don’t want any of his custom guns in my possession. Someone else can enjoy this. I don’t really have any trades in mind. If you have something around the $1000 range to trade I’d be happy. You can PM me your number and I’d be happy to text or call with any questions.

Brocock/BRK  Talk about easy barrel change!

Just got a 22 barrel for my 25 cal ghost. I still can’t believe how easy the change was. Take the screw out holding barrel and remove take screw out of probe and remove reverse with 22 parts. Check what pw does-850-975 with 25 gr mrds go up a few clicks and we are sighted in! Wow! Never had 1 go that slick before!

Buck-Rail quality

So When I purchased my outstanding original Avenger .22, I got a smoking deal on a very lightly used rifle. And it came dressed in a T————r brand tactical stock. This thing has broken twice now, and the second time was catastrophic. Non repairable. So … after using and enjoying a couple of Buck-Rail products, I decided to try his version as a replacement. All I can say is WOW again. Terry’s stuff is miLes ahead of the competition! This thing is EASY to install, and so much better build quality. Fit and finish is excellent, not to mention a little less expensive, and Terry stands behind everything he produces. I, for one, am totally impressed and satisfied.
Thanks again Buck-Rail for making truly quality and affordable products. Keep up the good work.

HW/Weihrauch  Hw 80 25 cal data?

Hi everyone. Does anyone have any experience with this rifle they could share? What type of pellet shoots well? To what distance are they effective? True velocity of a 20 grsin to 26 grain projectile? Does it have a trajectory like a catapult or only after a certain distance?

I’m considering one but have never tried. Please let me know what you think of them

Thanks

Hoses and their fittings/Need to learn the differences.

I received a new fill set today. It came from Best Fittings, and seems to be of higher quality than some of the other hoses and fittings that I have. Seems like everybody sells hoses with female quick connections, leaving me with a pile of excess female quick connections. I weed them out so that the quick connects with 5/tiny ball bearings in the collars are not used. I use the quick connects with 6 ball bearings.
The Best Fittings appear to have conical mounting surfaces, whereas the cheaper hoses have flat-face mounting surfaces. The two types do not seem to match up and seal, as every pair that I have put together leaks.
I assume that the conical mounting surfaces have a specific name, and that Best Fittings may not be the only source for these fittings?
Maybe if I know the name of the conical fittings, I can stick with them, since they seal better.
Anyone know the name of these, please let me know.
Thanks!

Benjamin Armada .25 realistic expectations?

As you guys are noticing I am pretty new to air rifles, spent my whole life so far with traditional fire arms. 2 years ago I bought the Armada and kind of fell in love with these things. After reading through here the past few days I realize many of you are using rifles of a much higher build quality. So my question is, how does the Armada stack up to higher priced platforms? I haven't pushed this this past 45ish yards so far but I was personally impressed with its repeatability at that distance. Seeing some of you doing 100yrd shots got me thinking, is the Armada capable of being competitive at that distance or is there a very large gap in performance between this and better platforms? Sorry guys I'll have a lot of newbie questions in the future but I appreciate how accepting you guys are! Thanks for all your guidance so far.

With all the calibers available, is it time to have a category break down? This would mostly benefit clarity for competitions
i.e.: .177,.20, .22 and .25 small-bore
.257, .9mm .30, 308, .35 and .357 mid-bore
.45,.50. 62 and .72 large-bores. (Please add any I left out).
