N/A  What " One gun " to buy

Basically I sold all my PCPs, I still have 2 physically in the house but they are sold, I will enjoy them until I have to ship them.

I've always wanted a quality Traditional gun but never had the drive to get one, I have a Gamo Hunter sport .177 that I like a lot and also have a Titan .177 that I also like.

Thinking eventually to get a quality gun, I'm leaning into the .22 cal and I definitely prefer Pistons rather then springs,

Diana used to make a few piston guns but I don't see them anymore, the HW90 and the Beeman counterpart have always intrigued me.

What shall I do ?

Umarex  Show of your Umarex NOTOs

I love this little Notos. I am making some aftermarket hand guards and accessories for the Umarex Notos. Its a great little compact gun but for me its missing Mlok and picattiny rails to attach a flashlight and other accessories.

If you have any ideas on what you make next please leave a comment. Lets see what mods you have done to your NOTOS.

Brocock/BRK  New .22 Brocock Compatto Sniper XR

Just got my .22 cal Brocock Compatto Sniper XR from AoA Wednesday. I didn't know anything about Brocock except it is a sister company to Daystate and as of late they may be sharing some technology. So, I took a chance on the Compatto and so far I'm happy with it. I wanted a rifle that was short, lightweight, accurate, synthetic stock and had adjustable power (hammer spring). It checks all the boxes. I have it set up currently shooting JSB 18.13s at 805fps on mid power for about 25fpe. Once sighted in, I shot this 11 shot group at 40 yards:
Compatto22.jpg

It seems to just as accurate as the Daystate Huntsman Revere which is a nice surprise! My question is, does anyone on this site have any data such as speed and accuracy for different pellets at different power levels with this rifle? I tried the JSB 15.89 and 13.43s at different power levels and they were not as accurate as the 18.13s.

sun shade question?

I got the sun shades for my Athlon scopes, Not sure if its just my old eyes are not but I cant tell any difference with or with out the sun shade,,, Is it just to reduce the glare of the sun
if so it dont work on my scopes, I am talking about the 3 to 4 inch screw on the front of the scope,, Feel free to tell me what yours does for you,,
OK you can put this in the dumb question optics.. LOL.

Air Arms  Old Reliable

My old Air Arms still delivers its packages with terrific accuracy. This model was bought in 2001 and doesn’t have a safety or a regulator, but 30 shots without adding air and still hitting what you aim at speaks for itself. I use JSB 16gr exclusively as it loves them like its first born.

RAW Rapid  RAW .22 CUT BARREL slug accuracy

I was thinking of testing Knockout 0.216 dia slugs in unchecked cut barrel of my BM500X .22 after installing the barrel on my HM1000X for many days.

This is because my HM1000X is highly modified for power, tuning capabilities and consistency.

The twist rate of cut barrel is somewhere around 1:27" to 1:30".

Here are the pics of my HM1000X with cut barrel.

Initially I zeroed the gun in my house using JSB Knockout 25 grain slugs at around 950fps.

My gun is capable of shooting the same slugs at around 1000 fps at 150 regulator pressure.

Following is 10 shots group of Knockout slugs at 24 yards where I sighted in the gun.

Then I moved to the boundary wall of my society. It is around 85 yards. Pic below.

I shot a 12 shot group from inside the car with same slugs at 950fps. Gun was not very stable and wind was around 14km.

Following is 12 shot group at 85 yards on pre cast wall from inside the car.

There is one flyer. I don't know whether it's my fault, slug fault or the gun needs tuning.

Anyhow I am positively surprised that during this casual shooting, the unchoked cut barrel performed well with slugs even with slow twist rate.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Crosman model 1

This air gun has a few surface rust spots that you can see in the pics. Overall the gun is in great condition and it does pump up and shoot. If I had to guess the o rings are old but I can’t say for sure. $250 shipped. If you pay with PayPal goods and services the price is $260. I also have cash app. I’m from Lima ohio and I’m also willing to meet in person and I’ll accept $200 for the payment. Text 419-905-5119
