I don't know much about this brand other than people seem to be pleased with them. I think I read the barrels on the Vet II standard are un-choked and so I'm also wondering if anyone has been using slugs with the Veteran 2?
I'm curious mostly about the .22 version. Slug mfg's, weights, velocity etc.
Any help from those who actually own a .22 standard, and have tried slugs would be helpful!

I asked to make for me some silhouettes in a size as close as possible to real conditions in order to practice placing the shot in the exact place:

This is by far my favorite shot in the pic below. Squirrel vertical on the face of the tree. It's all upside for me.

1. Provides the biggest kill zone.
2. Most forgiving in the vertical if my range estimate is off if woods walking. Just aim for between the shoulders. Could be 10 yds or 50 yds, pellet is in the kill zone.
3. Instant anchor due to spine damage.
4. Not possible for the pellet to damage the hind legs or backstrap meat.
5. Tree provides guaranteed back stop.
6. Anchored. Every time.

What's yours? I know a lot of people like the head-on shots.

I took my son to shoot my FX Impact MK2 and he double loaded pellets which got stuck in the barrel. I have not been able to remove the lodged pellets and have a liner on order. FUN.

The bigger issue I’m seeing though is my rifle no longer is doing bolt hold open. What is the mechanism that does bolt hold open when their is no magazine and no pellets in the magazine? This seems to be not functioning as well.

Looks like a remake of the Beeman “Short Scope”. Compact 4x21-AO with a etched glass reticle. 11 mm Mount. Any experience out there with this new offering?

Hi, new member here. Just put some pic my two 10m 80's rifles. Both are refurbished with new seals and springs. and perfect condition.

Diana 75 hv and Anschutz lg 380 match.

My new Crosman 3622 came in today. Installed a steel breech kit I had squirreled away for a rainy day. Rifle looks excellent. Bluing is deep and shiny. Barrel is spotless and the crown looks great. Rifling is sharp and neat. I ran a patch which came out nearly clean. The 3622 weighs 3.8 pounds bare on my scale. I cannot over emphasize how sleek and tiny this rifle is. Compared to a Benjamin pump 392, the Benji is huge, hulking, heavy. The stock feels great and is made in two pieces. The forward section replaces the pump arm on the 362 and attaches via the two plastic barrel bands. The length of pull is adult, small to medium adult , and is about .5 inches shorter than a Marauder.

Here is my almost not a Marauder .25 Super Light (5.3 pounds bare) compared to the new 3622:



I was able to get a BSA 2-7X33 compact scope intended for the Ruger 1022 mounted up and get a few shots in. Velocity was right on the stated 700 fps for 24+ shots. I sighted in at 15 yards due to the cold and wind and the rifle made a tight, slightly ragged hole using the CPHP pellets. Noise, I would say it is relatively quite, moderate report. Slightly sharp pop. The Marauder is noticeably quieter, but I am running an added DFLS on the carbine length short shroud.

I am going to give this 3622 a full 10 stars. The only let down is the trigger, so maybe 9 for 10. The trigger is not really bad and I am sure I can work it a bit. A little heavy but predictable. What I do not like is that the trigger is plastic. The trigger is the most important tactile contact point and I would wish it to be metal, like the Marauder and like the GTA trigger I installed to replace the plastic trigger on my Urban.

I read so little about the whole FX airguns lawsuit / whatever it is, really no idea what exactly is going on with wall that. but im looking to get an FX airgun with my tax returns, should I be concerned? or does this have nothing to do with that at all? any help would be greatly appreciated as I have little to no idea what's going on with all that

it just snapped when cocking it,poor grain direction .I did my repair and decided to modify the crappy pressed checkering. I hadn't stippled in 10 plus years so its not my best ,but I really didn't care for the original. I still have to finish the stock ,the stippling was a test.

Those of you that have owned a Dreamline and a Crown Mk 2 at the same time know that you can use your Dreamline barrels in your Crown - they just look a little “skinny” in the Crown.

Bullet Central sells a Carbon Fiber shroud in 500, 600 and 700mm lengths.

This shroud lets you slide your Dreamline barrel inside it. The BC carbon shroud is threaded 1/2 UNF internally, so you screw your Dreamline shroud into the muzzle end of the BC carbon fiber shroud using the Dreamline barrel’s moderator threads.

BC shroud is Super simple, super solid, weighs nothing and looks pretty.

Since I have 3 Dreamline 600mm barrels (.22, .25 and .30), I can use the same BC Carbon Fiber shroud with all three barrels screwing off one barrel and onto another Takes less than 60 seconds.

The BC shroud is not cheap at $115, and its just cosmetic… but I thought it was pretty enough that I splurged. I’m normally a function over form type of guy, but heck my Crown shot a 200 at the 40 Yard Challenge, so she deserves a little dress up, lol.

I have had my 2240 for years, and every now and then I tinker with set up changing various things looking to improve performance etc. This time I used a "safepac" style pcp conversion, and did some work on the valve port for improved flow. All things have gone fairly well, but now I need to get a stronger hammer spring. At a full air charge the chrony numbers start low as the current spring does not hit hard enough to release enough air against max pressure. After about 5 shots the numbers climb, the accuracy dials in, and then goes back the other way once the overall pressure in the reservoir drops. I see there are hammer spring kits with as many as 4 different wire guages. If any of you have been down this road, what spring did you settle as the ideal set up for complete release at full pressure? Thanks in advance

I have a new R9, looking for advice about scope and rings. I target and plinking at 50yds max. I’m not a hunter, but these iguanas are fun and saving the environment at the same time. South Florida has a real problem good targets.

Having a bit of an issue with my Avenge-x (.22 with carbon fiber bottle) I'm hoping that maybe someone here knows what is going on.

I was shooting some a few days ago and I was getting a little below 890fps. I tried shooting again today (without touching any settings and with the same ammo) and I'm getting 860fps. Normally I would chalk this up to differences in weather, but that seems like quite a drastic change in fps.
The gauges seem to be reading all correctly, so I'm thinking it might be the hammer spring is starting to wear. I wanted you guy's opinion before getting a replacement, although I might get one anyways they don't seem that expensive.

My settings are:
2500psi on reg
+7.5 turns on the HS
TP set to High
Shooting JTS Domed (25.39gr)

I’ve had to ask the forum quite a few questions to get to this stage and I thank all those that took the time to give me advice. I don’t know anyone with an air rifle so I’m very indebted to this group of guys and forum. My setup is the HW30S with a HAWKE 2-7x32 Vantage AO. I have cheap Target Match single screw mounts med height, not even a recoil pin (that‘s all I could find and it will do for now until my store gets a nice one piece in). Pellets today were H&N Field Target Trophy 4.5mm 8.64 grn. My gun, out of the box, zeroed at 20 yards. It took about 20 shots to zero (forgot to adjust the parallax in my first 3 shots). This is my last 2 - 5 shot groups. Both can be covered with a dime and my last on the right, 3 pellets through the same hole. I’m an old geezer that had lense replacement surgery for cataracts 3 months ago. Powder burner for 50 years. This is going to be much fun! Better late than never! Beyond my expectation results. What distances do other .177 HW30/R7 normally shoot for targets?
